?Chapter 1050:
Gemma’s heart throbbed, her resolve not to retreat evident. “But I can tell you’re really enjoying this,” she murmured. “Aren’t you?”
Pierre was caught between his feelings and the situation, unable to deny it but also unable to respond.
Gemmaughed, fortably nestled in his embrace. “Pierre, let’s set a date.”
Pierre lifted his head, gently sweeping a stray hair from her forehead. At that moment, any sense of distance between them dissolved, reced by a deepening closeness.
“For what?” he asked.
Gemma gave him an innocent smile. “For something I enjoy.”
Catching the implication in her eyes, Pierre smirked and yfully asked, “For what?”
Gemma’s cheeks flushed, keen to avoid his yful bait. She pulled out her phone, opened the calendar app, and carefully chose a date. “How about Valentine’s Day?” she suggested with augh. “It’s perfectly romantic.”
Pierre found her idea so charming that he wished it were already Valentine’s Day. The thought briefly amused him, but he quicklyposed himself and said, his voice rough, “Alright, whatever you wish.”

Meanwhile, Caden was on his way to Terrnd to look into Pierre, with ns to return in a week.
A week seemed like a lifetime for a man recently married. With only three hours to his flight, Caden found himself hesitating to leave.
Alicia, caught up in urgent tasks, grew impatient with his lingering. “Enough, Caden. You’re about to wear a hole in my patience. It’s time to go.”
Caden felt embarrassed by her teasing. It was already awkward for a man to act like a clingy puppy. He finally let go and said, “You continue with your work. I should head out.”
Alicia sighed in relief, affectionately patting his head. “I’ll give you a reward when you return. How about we go through three boxes of condoms in one night?”
Caden’s expression twitched slightly. “Alright, I’ll get in shape to be ready for that challenge,” he responded. Alicia was only teasing him. Her yful words were like a soothing balm to a child.
Alicia leaned back against Caden’s fluffy back, continuing her work on theptop. Caden affectionately cuddled her with his nose.
Caden watched this disy with a tinge of envy but, too proud to show it, began packing his suitcase. Wanting her attention, he asked, “Did you pack my clothes?”
Alicia answered without looking up, “Everything’s in there.”
“I don’t see them.”
Alicia set herptop aside, walked over, and just then, Caden seemed to have found what he was looking for. “Oh, there they are.”
