My consciousness was hazy. I could barely make out what Ethan was saying. All I could feel was aforting presence enveloping me, lulling me into a peaceful sleep.


    I wasn''t sure how much time had passed, but I groggily woke up to find myself resting against a warm, solid chest. Startled, I quickly sat up, only to notice a coat draped over my shoulders. When I looked closer, I realized it was Ethan''s coat.


    "Awake?" His deep, maic voice broke the silence.


    I nodded awkwardly. I felt embarrassed as I tried to return his coat. "Thank you, Mr. Grayson. I hope I didn''t disturb your rest."


    A faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "No, you slept soundly. I couldn''t even wake you. Looks like you were really exhausted."


    His words sent a rush of heat to my face. How could I fall asleep just like that? I even slept against his chest. How embarrassing was that!


    "I''m so sorry, Mr. Grayson... I won''t let it happen again..."


    But Ethan didn''t seem bothered at all. In fact, he affectionately tapped the tip of my nose. "Don''t apologize. I''m happy you could sleep so peacefully beside me."


    I froze. What did he mean by that? Had he... changed? The controlling, domineering side of him seemed to have disappeared, reced by someone warm and caring.


    Before I could think any further, Ethan gently guided me out of the car. The afternoon sun was a bit blinding, and I instinctively squinted. But then a pair of sunsses were gently ced on my nose. "Put these on, don''t strain your eyes," he said kindly. "You''re the lead designer at Grayson''s. You need to take care of your eyes."


    A lump formed in my throat, and I quickly turned away to hide my teary eyes.


    "Let''s check into the hotel first," Ethan said softly. His arm wrapped around my shoulders as he led me toward Park Hyatt Hotel. "Once we''re settled, we''ll visit thepany branch. The office building is already taken care of."


    As we entered the lobby, I was awestruck by its grandeur. Crystal chandeliers sparkled overhead, plush carpets lined the floor, and priceless paintings adorned the walls.


    "Wee, may I help you? Do you have a reservation?" The receptionist greeted us with a professional smile.


    Ethan calmly handed over his sleek ck card and replied, "Yes, we''ve reserved the most luxurious presidential suite. Please check us in."


    "Of course, sir. One moment, please."


    The receptionist took the card and swiftly typed something on theputer. Within moments, she handed two maic keys to Ethan.

    us know," she said and smiled. She was clearly impressed by Ethan''smanding presence and financial standing.


    Ethan thanked her and led me toward the elevator. I was still taking in the opulence of our surroundings.


    As the elevator door closed, I was pulled back to reality and whispered, "Mr. Grayson, why did you book the presidential suite? How much does that even cost? Aren''t we just an a business trip? We could have stayed in a regr room..."


    Hearing that, Ethan''s lips curled into a mischievous grin. "Who said we''re staying in just one room? I booked you a presidential suite too, right next to mine." "What?" I stared at him, wide-eyed. "Mr. Grayson, this is too much! I can''t possibly afford a presidential suite. I should switch to something more affordable..." "It''s not up to you," he said, raising an eyebrow.


    He continued, "You''re the face of Grayson Group. How could I let you settle for less? Besides, this is pocket change for me."


    I was left speechless.
