After congratting the yers onst night''s performance, president Tom Richards had gone on to tell the yers and the coaching staff about some of the things he was nning for the transfer window open at the end of the season he then concluded by encouraging the yers in his own way to keep upst night''s performance.
The trainingmenced after the president''s speech starting with the basic running ofps to the stretches, thepetitive training games like the tic tac toe version where there would be two teams, and a drawing of the ying area.
For their training, they had six balls, three white ones, and three yellow ones. The yers would have to run to the spot and push balls to the open spaces until a team had gotten a correct alignment either perpendicrly, horizontally, or vertically.
The yers had only five seconds to run to the spot and move any of their assigned balls either white or yellow and no yer could go twice in one round, it was one yer per round and if none of the teams could win after the first round, y continued until a particr team won.
The tic tac toe was one of the most exciting parts of the training before the team switched to the final training exercise for the day, the training match.
The team didn''t have a second goalkeeper in the senior squad since Anderson was loaned out but they had sixteen-year-old Alexander Collins who had been training with the first team since the start of the season because of the league regtion which prevents a goalkeeper from the B team to y a match while the goalkeeper in the senior team is okay.
The teams were picked for the training match and just like always, Mateo had made sure that Dave was on his team, Ferran was on the opposite team though.
The training match had ended in a three-goal draw with Ferran scoring two of the first goals for his side and assisting the third, Mateo on the other wasn''t able to score but he was the creator of the three goals.
Dave''s system had given him a quick quest just before the first goal went in a one-on-one situation with Ferran.
The goal went in so that was another quest that failed.
The sun had almostpletely set as the yers were getting ready to leave.
Norman left out any talk about tomorrow''s game tactics till tomorrow morning since the game was at home and was in the evening anyway but he had chosen his starting eleven for the match.
"Nice training today right."
Dave was pulling off his boots when he heard the voice and there was no need to turn as he already knew he it was.
"Yeah." The goalkeeper uttered pulling off one of the boots. "I just hope we''ll be able to get a win against Ronino FC."
"The team is currently in good form afterst night''s win, everyone looks even Jonas didn''t look for a way to insult or belittle you today," Mateo said.
"Yeah, Jonas not looking for a way to say horrible things about me was one of the best parts of today''s training," Dave said before pulling out the other boot and slowly getting up from the floor.
<I think you''re forgetting that he''s the only one in the team who didn''t make anyment about your performancest night> Catherine stated <But that''s good, he''s fighting with himself now>
Dave slid his feet into his normal boots after he had handed his training boots to the person in charge of keeping them for him here at the stadium.
"Hey, Mateo see you tomorrow," Ferran said to Mateo as he walked off the pitch.
"Okay, see you, tomorrow master," Mateo said.
Ferran turned to him with a smile before continuing his walk off the pitch.
"Master and student is a correct term to give the rtionship between you two," Dave said.
"Yeah, he''s a great teacher," Mateo said.
Dave and Mateo talked about contracts, teams in Europe''s top five leagues, the big teams, the big yers, and a little about the greatest rivalry in the history of the game on their way out of the stadium.
"Alright Dave, see you tomorrow and tell Emma I said hi," Mateo said before walking off toward his car.
"Okay, goodbye Mateo," Dave said.
He waited for him to drive off before he got into his own car and drove toward his sweet home.
It didn''t take him long to arrive at his home as he parked his car in his normal spot just outside the garage.
He walked to the door, opened it, and walked into the living room which was empty and the whole area was unusually quiet.
He felt like there was something wrong.
<No, Dave you''re just making up scenarios in your head, walk upstairs and see that there''s nothing wrong>
"You say that with very disturbing confidence," Dave muttered.
The goalkeeper slowly made his way upstairs expecting to hear a sounding from any of the rooms but still, there was nothing.
"Babe." He called slowly moving toward his bedroom but there was no response from anybody. "Emma."
He got to the bedroom room to see that it was just as empty as the living room with no sign of Emma or her friend.
"Where could she have gone with her friend?" Dave muttered with a worried look on his face.
<Why don''t you try calling her?>
''Yeah.'' Dave replied as he quickly brought his phone out of his pocket and walked out to the hallway.
It was at that time that Karen who had been in the house at the time he got home wasing out from the bathroom and she had almost jumped up in fright on seeing him there.
"Oh, it''s just you." She said catching her breath. Dave himself had also gotten a little frightened on seeing her walk out of the bathroom.
Karen had just gone to take a little wash while Emma was out and walked out of the bathroom now with a short white towel which used to cover mostly her chest leaving arger part of her thigh exposed but on seeing Dave she had pulled it down a little to expose arger part of cleavages.
"Where''s Emma?" Dave asked as he was already starting to feel ufortable.
"Oh, Emma," Karen said, moving closer to him. "She went to the nearby mall to get some groceries.
Now he could get a clearer view of her exposed cleavages but he didn''t want his eyes to linger there. Looking down wasn''t safe either so looking to the side was the best option.
''She just returned from the hospital and she''s already going to the mall alone.''
"Oh." He said. "Has it been long since she left?''
"Yeah, like fifteen minutes now," Karen said with a nod.
"Okay," Dave said, expecting her to continue her walk toward the guest room but she was still standing there looking at him. "Aren''t you supposed to be heading that way?" He asked, pointing behind her.
"Yeah, but I left something in your room and I want to go take it," Karen said with a smile curving up on her lips.
"Oh, okay, that''s not a problem," Dave said.
"Thank you," Karen said before continuing her walk past him.
She had flung her hair a little as little droplets from it had dropped on his skin.
He stood there for a few seconds after she had entered the room and let out a deep sigh before quickly making his way down the stairs.
<Do you realize that your heart was beating faster than it did when you made that savest night>
"I know Catherine don''t rub it in."
He stood in front of the couch as he dialed Emma''s number and after a few seconds of ringing she picked up the call.
"Hey, you know you''re not supposed to be doing things like this in your condition." He barked into the phone before she could say anything.
"I know but we were out and someone had to get them," Emma replied through the phone''s speaker.
"Where are you now?" He asked.
"Just a few more steps before I get home." She replied.
"Okay," Dave said before ending the call.
He stared at the couch for a while before crashing down on it and letting out a deep sigh.
<This is going to be a long night>
