“Now, where are we?” Mors asked.
“You are in a subspace overlooking Earth,” the system explained.
“You have been summoned to choose an animal form that may assist you,” it continued.
Mors inquired, “What does this animal form entail?”
The system replied, “On Earth, a variety of animals exist, and adopting an animal form will grant you some of their abilities and increase your chances of success. You can also transform into these animals.”
“Let’s begin then,” Vita said, intrigued.
The system started explaining their options.
“You will be summoned to Earth in the city of New York, in a ruined apartment near some human survivors,” the system continued. “Now, you must select your animal form.” It displayed a screen with the following options:

“Looks like the Cat and Eagle are off the table then,” Mors said.
“I find the Horse to be useless,” Vita pondered.
“System, do you have any recommendations?” Vita asked.
The system replied, “I recommend the Wolf, as you both need to survive and require strength to lead humans.”
“The leadership ability of the Chimpanzee seems useful if we’re going to lead humans,” Mors commented.
The system interjected, “The Chimpanzee has major downsides, and leadership can be achieved as a Wolf.”
“Let’s go with the Wolf, Mors,” Vita decided.
“What is ‘Sexual Mood’?” Mors inquired.
“Sexual Mood refers to an aggressive sexual drive for energy restoration,” the system explained.
“The gods included this perk for a reason,” Mors remarked.
The system fell silent, creating an awkward pause.
“Let’s go with the Wolf,” Vita reiterated to Mors.
“Okay, we both choose Wolf,” Mors confirmed.
