May 7th, Year 6


    An eagle soars overhead: planted rice fields below. Everything looks peaceful and pristine, however looks can be deceiving. Said eagle begins to descend. It lands in a secluded area, and with a poof of white smoke turns into a young man: Touma. Traversing through a land with lots of open space is not ideal if you want to go unnoticed. So Touma changed his approach. By turning into an eagle and concealing his chakra signature, he''s able to fly by without rousing suspicion. The hardest part was learning to fly.


    With the help of [Electromagnetic Sense], he''s able to scan massive areas from very high up. In fact, that''s why he landed. He just discovered an underground structure which he speculates is one of Orochimaru''s labs. There could be a treasure-trove of priceless materials he can eat in there. However he''s not greedy enough to be stupid; the security in such a place must be absolutely disgusting. And Kami forbid Orochimaru himself is slithering somewhere in there. However worry soon steps aside for confidence as his use of [Electromagnetic Sense] would warn him of any and all threats and traps. This infiltration mission shouldn''t be too difficult. But even with his confidence, he''s not taking any chances. Touma proceeds to create a water clone and send it towards the entrance.


    Unsurprisingly, the clone is able to sense hundreds of Senbon needles embedded in the walls along the corridor leading to the entrance. They seem primed to fire and can be set off by a wall of hair-thin tripwires 1/5 of the way in.


    The clone intentionally triggers the traps and makes it''s way in, where it encounters more and deals with them accordingly while Touma follows some distance behind it.


    Several minutes pass before they''re sure there are no more traps to be addressed and both parties begin to explore the underground lair in earnest. A scan reveals a some chakra signatures within: all floating in giant test tubes. "Yikes."


    There were no other occupants, and the place seemed to be in good condition. His guess was that this was a backup lab in case the Snake''s main labs were compromised. Further scanning reveals labs, offices and storage areas full of scrolls and documents. After taking time to confirm his route, he goes in.


    May 8th, Year 6


    Daybreak soon arrives and Touma is seen exiting the Underground Lair. After seeing the test subjects, he was under no illusion it was Orochimaru''s Lab. The guy is gruesome. He didn''t bother looking at the scrolls. He simply took everything, and would worry about it later. He remembers the Chuunin exam in the anime where Jounin and Chuunin were sealed into the heaven and earth scrolls inorder to knockout anyone who opened them. The last thing he wants is a Jack-in-the-box scare from a Pedo Snake. That''s why he''s opening nothing for now.


    Now done with one hideout, he places the scroll containing all the things he stole in his inventory, goes bird, and takes flight once more. He just robbed Orochimaru in his country. And it won''t be long before someone drops by and notices lots of stuff are missing and raise an alarm. If he''s lucky enough to stumble upon other hideouts, he''d best ransack them pronto. And off he went: flying at full speed.


    May 14th, Year 6


    After days of flying all around the Land of Sound, Touma discovers and ransacks a few more hideout. He notices security getting progressively more tighter, so decides to call it quits before he falls into a trap. Finding a safe place to camp, he starts going through all the stuff he stole so far. He pulls one item at a time from the inventory to inspect it for traps. This way, even if there was, he''d just go poof and everything will still remain in the inventory.

    With that taken care of, Touma separates the useful stuff in a separate scroll, and places them in the inventory for Kondo to look through later. With Water Clones now in his arsenal, Kondo can now resume experiments not just with guinea pigs, but with more heads to bounce ideas back and forth. Now Touma heads east on his journey to the Land of Waterfalls for the next leg of his adventure.


    June 14th, Year 7


    POV: Fukumoto Kondo


    A month after receiving the document dump, Kondo has been busy with a little project he thought up: instead of waiting for Tsunade to show in 5-6 years from now, he''ll make his poor man''s version of the Byakugo Seal. He was inspired by Kurama''s seal which allows chakra to seep into the jinchuuriki, and the storage scrolls which can be used to store even Jutsus and living people.


    If he''s able to master the seal of the storage scroll, and tweak it some, he can hopefully make a chakra container he can fill up whenever he wants, and tap into when he needs to.


    It''s been trial and error so far, and he''s been learning alot especially with using water clones as lab rats, and all the documents he got from Touma, though said documents were incomplete. It was like the Mona Lisa was turn into 12 pieces and you were handed 3 random pieces to use and recreate the work. Regardless, fragmented info was better than nothing.


    He needs a better foundation of knowledge, otherwise it would be like learning algebra before basic maths. For that, he has a solution: the restricted part of the library. With the fundamentals from the library, plus the more exotic stuff from Orochimaru, Kondo should make breakthroughs in his research soon. With such breakthrough, he also hopes to create a seal that can absorb offensive chakra directed at him: kinda like the Karma Seal from Boruto. If he can pull that off, he''ll truly become overpowered. But that''s further down the line. For now, he has to do research and development.


    In addition to this, Kondo has decided on skills, techniques and knowledge he''s going to need:


    - Medical Ninjutsu.


    - Rasengan.


    - Rasenshuriken.


    - Raikiri or Chidori.


    - Shockwave attacks.


    - Sound based attacks.


    - Gentle fist variant.


    - Lightspeed attacks.


    Medical Ninjutsu would be handy for him healing himself faster.


    Rasengan is a high AP skill Kondo feels he must have. Though he needs an alibi to explain to folks who see him use it. Rasenshuriken will be an extension of that.


    Shockwave attacks can''t be absorbed by Otsutsuki, so they''re very difficult to deal with.


    Sound based attacks were underrated. They ignore durability, and auditory genjutsu is broken. He intends to collect data from the Sound 5 when the time comes.


    Gentle Fist-like attack that ignores durability would be nice. Kondo will observe Neji, Hinata or any other Hyuga to figure out what they do. He''ll attempt to reverse engineer his own thing from what he finds.


    Light-speed is end of War Arc Level attacks. Kondo has to figure out how to make laser. Haku, Darui, and Madara''s Storm Fang will provide guidance.


    Kondo has also made a list of a couple Fuinjutsu side projects he''d like to get on down the line.


    - An explosive tag seal that is created on a surface with just a touch; just like how Minato placed a Flying Raijin seal on Obito.


    - A seal that absorbs kinetic energy.


    - A pair of seals that transmits sound between each other. Aka Walkie-talkies.


    This will take him years, but he''s got time, and it''ll all be worth it.


    June 15th, Year 6


    POV: Touma


    Takigakure: The Land of Waterfalls, Kakuzu and Fuu: The 6 Tails Jinchuuriki. Although it is up in the air if Fuu has been made the Jinchuuriki yet. Funny how he only remembered her as he was entering her territory. He wasn''t pleased with her and Yugito''s deaths; it felt like such a waste.


    He didn''t watch much about Fuu, but she seemed fun enough, so no harm in befriending her. It''ll be a cakewalk if the village is giving her the Naruto treatment.


    Touma''s plan in Takigakure:


    Hang around the village till he finds Fuu.


    If Fuu has become jinchuuriki, and village is being mean to her, attempt to befriend her and gain her trust.


    Then he''ll stay a bit longer before leaving and making sure to visit as often as possible.


    If Fuu isn''t one yet, he''ll leave, but return every year till she does become one.


    Touma''s intentions are not just to keep her from dying in the hands of the Akatsuki, but also having a companion.


    Traveling would be more fun with someone to do it with. Though he doubts Takigakure would be willing to let their jinchuuriki go galavanting about outside the village with a stranger.


    He wonders if he could pickup a Haku-like character and take them under his wing.


    This got Touma thinking; what are his grand goals. There''s got to be something higher than being the best Ninja Farmer. After some thought, Touma comes up with something incomplete, but will be built upon as he goes.Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere.


    He''ll make or take over his own country. One without a Daimyo. It will have agriculture like no other nation, and he''ll take in any clan that was abandoned by the other villages as he establishes his own hidden village. He''ll also spearhead and fund research in Agri-jutsu, Blue collar Ninjutsu, and especially in how to deal with the Otsutsuki.


    If fact, the hidden rain seems like a good place to take over after Nagato dies. This makes Konan pop into his mind. Kondo considers saving her from Obito, but thinks better of it. Obito would chase him to the ends of the earth if he tried. Best to keep out of his radar till the War Arc.


    That''ll be that for now. He''ll adjust his plans as he goes.


    "And... I''m here!" Exclaims Touma as he enters the Waterfall Village. After getting past the checkpoint, he makes a beeline for the Yorozuya Guild. He got to Bronze Rank before he left the Hidden Hot Water, so on top of his access to more than one job at a time, he now has access to higher paying jobs of greater physical risk. Stuff like being a Genin team''s sparring partner/punching bag, and providing extra muscle in cases where Shinobi are short-staffed.

    - Gold.

    - Rock - Lowest Rank.


    After searching for some time, he found a Job he was ok with: Some Jonin is leaving his team for a long mission, but doesn''t want the team to get rusty in the meantime, so he''s looking for someone to spar with, and keep his Genin sharp. However, before he gets the Job, he has to prove he can handle all 3 of them at once without issue. Easy peasy. With a Job guaranteed for a some weeks, he goes about searching for Fuu on his down time.


    He starts at the Ninja Academy: no dice. Obviously, he can''t just waltz in there. He had to use [Electromagnetic Sense] and [Chakra Sense] from the outskirts, but he couldn''t sense any standout chakra signature, so no Jinchuuriki in there. He waits till the Academy Closes for the day and watches the kids from a distance. It makes him feel like a creep doing that. However, no dice again. No one that looks like Fuu came out of the Academy.


    So, change of plans: Touma will scan the entire village till he finds a Jinchuuriki.


    If it''s Fuu, commence plan.


    If it''s not Fuu yet, leave and return yearly.


    Touma starts his search at the Village Head''s Residence, and wouldn''t you know it, he senses something. The Chakra signature reminds him of Naruto''s, but it''s alot different. The strange thing is, it coming from underground.


    While wondering why they put their jinchuuriki in the basement, he takes a closer look with his [Electromagnetic Sense].


    Judging by the physique, it''s an adult female: definitely not Fuu. Though, it is interesting to learn something about the jinchuuriki that came before Fuu.


    "Maybe she couldn''t deal with the village hating her guts anymore, so she became a shut-in? Who know. I ain''t sneaking in just to find out."


    Since Fuu isn''t the Jinchuuriki, he''s got no reason to hang around. However, he just got here, and I''d be a shame to just leave right away.


    He''ll finish his current Job, take a couple days break, and then take an Escort Job with clients heading to his next destination: Kusagakure: The Village Hidden in the Grass.


    June 15th, Year 6


    Touma''s taking a walk when he notices a bit of commotion. A bunch of bully-type kids beating on another lone kid, while another wimpy-looking kid runs away from the group. It doesn''t take a genius to put 2 and 2 together. It''s the infamous "Good Samaritan getting his ass kicked while the Levite he''s trying to protect runs away, leaving him to his fate." This is normally not his business, but when he saw the hair color of the victim, he changed his mind.


    "Hey, you kids! That''s enough. Quit that right now!" The kids in question pause and turn his way. Doing so allowing Touma to clearly see who they were beating. ''Torquiose hair... At least I think it is: I''m not big on exotic colors. And orange eyes. There''s no mistaking it; that''s Fū.''


    "Mind your business, old man! This has nothing to do with you." One if the kids starts talking some big game.


    "You all had to work together to take a lone little girl. Damn! You lot must be terrifying; I''m shaking in my boots." Touma makes his way through the group; ignoring their protests as he does so. He observes Fū trying to get off the floor. She was dirty, bruised and had a bloody nose.


    "You alright, kid?" Asks Touma as Fū raises her head to meet his gaze. After a couple seconds, she silently nods back at him. In response, Touma reaches out his hand. Fū gets the hint and takes it as he helps her to her feet as he gives her a once-over.


    "You look like crap, kid. Let''s get you cleaned up." Turning his attention to the group, he asks, "Where''s the nearest clinic?" Minutes later at a small clinic:


    The nurse is done cleaning and disinfecting Fū''s wounds. Luckily she didn''t have any broken bones nor wounds big enough to require bandages. He had to drag her here. She insisted she was fine and didn''t need treatment, but Touma managed to persuade her to struggle less.


    "I have a guess of what happened. The bullies where harassing a kid, you jumped in to help, and got beat up for your trouble. Is that accurate?"


    Fū nods. "Yeah. I was only trying to help! They didn''t have to go nuts on me."


    "They''re bullies. You stand up to them and they''ll either leave you alone or escalate. You should have seen that coming."


    Fū sighs; deflated. "I know..."


    "Relax kid, I''m not here to nag at you. In fact, I''m rather impressed with what you did back there: That''s the only reason I went out of my way to help you."


    Fū perks up at that. "Really?"


    "Really. Trust me kid, the world is a rough place. Everybody''s out for themselves and could care less about what happens to other people. That''s a pretty crappy way to live, but most people don''t have the luxury, so it''s understandable to a degree. That''s why the world needs more people like you; to make it less crappy. Even by a little bit."


    "I-I see..." Murmurs Fū in mild embarrassment.


    Seeing this, Touma turns his attention to the nurse in the room. "Can I have the Bill, nurse?"


    After covering said bill, Touma leads Fū out of the clinic where she expresses her appreciation for his help and promises to reimburse him for his expenses.


    "Pay me back? Haha! You''re too young to be worrying about stuff like that. However, if you''re that grateful, how about promising me something instead: that you''ll never stop helping the weak, and try being less reckless about it. How does that sound?"


    Fū promises profusely with so much zeal it worried Touma alittle. She soon excuses herself and they both part ways. "She''s not as peppy as I remember. Oh well, no biggie."


    June 18th, Year 6


    Touma POV


    After his 3 days of R&R, Touma leaves Takigakure after saying goodbye to Fū. He''s heading to the unnamed country containing Kusagakure: The Hidden Grass Village. It''s a land full of forests of trees, giant mushrooms or bamboo; and also many rivers and deep ravines. Practically a mini Land of Fire plus extra on steroids.


    Touma stops at a town called "Pines" which is not too far from the border with Waterfall Country. It''s a fishing town situated right next to a major river which is so wide, it''s often mistaken for a lake. Good thing there was a Y.Guild there. He got an updated Bingo Book at the guild, and eavesdropped all night at different bars in order to gather information; especially about bandit activity.


    This is because Touma plans to rush through all the small countries sandwiched between The Lands of Wind to the South, and The Land Earth to the North until he reaches the far west of both Countries; then he''ll decide what next.


    Along the way, he''ll hunt as many Vermin as he stumbles across, as well as buy stuff Ichigo could sell.


    He''ll also rob bandits of their belongings, and hopefully learn new jutsu from anyone competent enough to fight back. If he bumps into anyone on the Bingo Book, he''ll turn in whomever is within his league and collect the reward money. Finally, if he stops by a place where lots of animals need getting rid of, he''ll hang around for awhile to farm XP and stock up on meat.


    August 14th, Year 6


    Two months after his stay in the the Village Hidden in the Grass, Touma has reached his goal. He''s now at the western edge of the Elemental Nations: Northwest of the Sand & Southwest of the Earth.


    Further west is land he never heard of during his time watching the show. He''d like to explore there, but that can wait till sometime in the future. Right now, he''s heading North through all the small Countries along the West of the Earth Country till he reaches a deadend at its North.


    Then he''ll enter the Land of Earth in search of as much Earth Style Jutsu as he can get his hands on. He''ll zigzag through most of it on his way back to the Land of Waterfalls. Hopefully he''ll get there a year after he left like he promised.


    Another bit of news from his end is that he''s been added to the Bingo Book.

    Kondo POV


    The new semester of Ninja Academy has begun with Tenten, Neji and Rock Lee enrolled. Kondo can feel the plot thickening. He has to be ready for the Uchiha massacre; whenever it happens.


    To help him in that endeavor is his creation born of sweat and blood: the [Chakra Battery]. The wealth of knowledge that he gained from sneaking into the restricted parts of the Library were a boon for his efforts. Though he was alittle disappointed at the books on fuinjutsu which were only beginner level with no advanced material to link it with the advanced stuff Orochimaru plays with, he was glad to have read them because they strengthened his foundations, thus giving him lots of insight. The [Chakra Battery] is a seal the size of Naruto''s Kurama Seal, thus is located at his gut and is invisible when not active. Which is good, cuz he wouldn''t know how to explain it to his parents if they saw it.


    The seal is activated by performing specific hand seals. Surprisingly enough, Kondo''s System responded to the seal and added it as a skill.


    He can control the rate at which the seal absorbs his Chakra. He can also control what percentage of the stored chakra is released back into his body.


    Unlike the Byakugo Seal, this doesn''t heal his wounds nor make him physically stronger, however he discovered something that blows that out of the water: it involves clones and a long explanation to understand.


    Explanation:


    Shinobi have there own maximum chakra levels. Let''s say:


    Sakura Max CP = 100.


    If she uses the Byakugo Seal, she''ll raise it to a new, but temporary level. Her maximum chakra level still remains 100; she''s just walking around with extra on top of that for now.


    Sakura Max CP = 100


    Sakura Byakugo CP = 900


    New Temporary Max CP = 1000


    If after a fight happens and her chakra levels drop to 50 for example, and she deactivates the Byakugo Seal, her chakra level will naturally replenish up back to 100 and stop there.


    That''s how max CP levels work. However, something weird happens when Kondo activates his [Chakra Battery] followed by creating a [Shadow Clone].


    Before [Chakra Battery] Seal Release:


    Kondo: Max CP = 100


    After [Chakra Battery] Seal 100% Release:


    Kondo: Max CP = 100


    [Chakra Battery] CP = 900


    New Temporary Max CP = 1000


    After Creating 1 Shadow Clone


    Kondo: Max CP = 100


    [Chakra Battery] CP = 400


    New Temporary Max CP = 500


    Clone: Max CP = 500


    BS CP = 0


    New Temporary Max CP = 500


    Normally when Kondo creates one [Shadow Clone], his Max CP is halved while the Clone is created with it''s Max CP equal of the other half.


    However this time, his Max CP is unchanged, while his Clone''s Max CP is equal to half the New Temporary Max CP.


    Therefore he''s creating clones with higher Max CP Levels than him. This is the best it can be explained. He basically found a bug in the system.


    What are the implications of this discovery? Many actually, but the lowest hanging fruit is that if Kondo plays his cards right over the next decade, he should posses a well of Chakra on par with tailed beasts.


    Another implication is that this allows Kondo to either create infinite clones overtime with no chakra drawback or just a few clones with Kage-Bijuu Chakra Levels who do the heavy lifting while squishy Kondo keeps a safe distance like an imitation of Pain''s Six Paths.


    This causes Kondo to reevaluate his future plans:


    1. He needs sharingans: Having a System is cool and all, but even with 9 tails of chakra, he has no answer to hax abilities like, say LIMBO CLONES.


    The Uchiha Massacre is around the corner; and while it pains Kondo to have to exploit the tragedy for his benefit, better him than Danzo.


    Besides; in the near future he''ll have the chakra pool to handle the drain of a pair of Sharingan that''s always on. Better Eyesight, Improved Jutsu copying capability and Sharingan genjutsu are the pros to this. It''s just a question of if he can evolve them to mangekyo or even make them eternal. He also wonders how the eyes will morph when he goes into [Sage Mode].


    2. Medical Ninjutsu: Kondo is going to need to perform the eye transplant surgery by himself. He''ll also need a way to store the Sharingan eyeballs. It''ll also allow him to learn the byakugo seal easier.


    3. Rinnegan: Hashirama''s DNA would be near impossible to get ahold of for the time being. He''ll have to settle for Naruto and Sasuke DNA. When the war comes, he''ll have to gather as much Madara DNA as he can, plus some white zetsus. Holup! Doesn''t Danzo have a zetsu arm?! The Otsutsuki would be a nightmare to deal with without hax from the Sharingan and Rinnegan. He''s not going to develop a Rinnnegan in a few short years; even Madara couldn''t. But he should be able to pull it off before Momoshiki and the other Otsutsukis invade.


    4. Chakra Absorption Techniques: Kondo is going to have to be as close to an Otsutsuki as he can without being one, and that includes the busted ability to absorb chakra. Seals, weapons etc; he has to get all things that do that. "Wonder if Samehada would like me?"


    5. Sage Mode: He''ll have the necessary Chakra levels soon. Same goes for the Rasengan.


    6. 8 Gates: He has already unlocked 7 of them. It''s just a matter of meshing them with his fighting style. Taijutsu is effective against Ten Taill jinchuurikis and Otsutsukis.


    Anyway, back to the Uchiha Massacre. Kondo initially considered confronting Itachi or Shisui, but if that backfires they''ll be crawling up his behind. And he''s sure Itachi is smart enough to sniff him out. It''s best he not be exposed. Last thing he needs is to be in Danzo''s radar. Nope, must avoid.


    Therefore his plan is to foil it. He''ll create a commotion and attract Shinobi from all over the village into the Uchiha district.


    This will also alert the Uchiha, and they''ll be able to rally and put up better resistance against Itachi and Obito. And during the chaos, he''ll extract Sharingan from deceased Uchiha. Kondo is disgusted with himself for thinking of such things, but he has to steel his resolve. It has to be done.


    Besides his ethical struggle, his plan can be beneficial to Itachi in some ways. Botching the massacre will end up uniting the Uchiha clan and rest of Konoha against Obito and Itachi rather than each other. Itachi wants to be a matyr, so that works for him. The missing eyeballs will also be blamed on them, and that would fuel more disdain from the Uchiha. Also the village will sympathize more with the Uchiha since they''ll be most of the casualties. This should postpone the coup d''etat for quite awhile longer if not quell it.


    With his thoughts on that settled, Kondo reevaluates his immediate goals.


    1: Learn Medical Ninjutsu so he can successfully transplant Sharingans. As well as safely store them.


    2: Try to recreate Gentlefist by spying on Hyugas and using what he learns from Medical Ninjutsu.


    3: Reverse engineering the [Chakra Absorbing Seal] he got from Orochimaru''s labs into something he can use in combat.


    4: Stockpile Chakra using his [Chakra Battery] in preparation for whatever happens in the future.


    He''ll dedicate his time and resources towards foiling the Uchiha Massacre and furthering his Fuinjutsu research. The next couple months are going to be very important and will change the course of history for the Uchihas, the Village and Kondo himself.
