He grinned, oh, he’d give them their gold alright. Tresh looked back to Lana, winking before removing his belt pouch, “Stay here, I’ll give ‘em what they want.” He said, mischievous glee seeping into his tone.
“Just be careful.” Lana sighed, wringing her hands nervously.
“Not my middle name but I’ll try.” He replied, approaching the two highwaymen.
It was important that he make it seem as if he were really going to give them the gold, so it would be best if he acted like he was scared.
Deception Check: Critical Success
Tresh’s lip quivered as he hunched his shoulders together, lowering his head as he began fiddling with the pouch in faux fear. The bandits for their part looked totally convinced, shaking their head with disbelief as Tresh neared them.
“P-please don’t hurt me.” Tresh pleaded in a whimper.
“Just give us the bag big guy, no one’s gotta get hurt.” The one on the right reasoned, “It’s just hard these days to make ends meet, nothing personal.”
“Get the bag here quickly, greenskin.” The other said, no doubt a sneer under his mask, “I don’t want to bear your smell any longer than necessary.”
“You don’t gotta be rude about it!” The one on the right chided, “What did we talk about before we got started today?”
A sigh from the bandit on the left, “Don’t be meaner than necessary.” They both said in unison.
“That’s right, ma didn’t raise us to be rude.”

“We are robbing people.” The other reasoned.
When Tresh was in arms reach, he proffered the bag, internally grinning.
“We’re gonna want any other valuables too.” The rude one said, extending his hand, “The girl there probably has more coin on her, go fetch that for us too.”
Tresh then sheepishly rose his head, moving his hand as if to place the bag into the robber’s palm. That was when he struck!

The bandit teetered on his feet for an instant before immediately drawing his blade with a snarl, planting his foot firmly in the ground to keep himself stable. His jaw hung partially open as he swung his blade for Tresh, rage in his eyes.
Highwayman 1’s Attack Roll: 24 Hit!Damage: 1d6+2Slashing: 4 Damage!
Tresh batted the blade away, tapping the flat of it to knock it off target. The shock that traveled through his palm and up his arm was painful, but nothing he couldn’t handle. The highwayman recovered quickly, slashing for Tresh again with a garbled rage-filled cry.

Tresh stepped to the side, allowing the fool to fall forward. He winced as he saw the fellow twist his ankle on the way past.
Damage to Highwayman 1: 1d4 flat: 4
Tresh grimaced yet again when the man fell flat on his face, an audible thwack of flesh on cobbled stone reaching his ears. The bandit did not rise again. Tresh rounded on his next quarry, seeing the second highwayman had already raised up his hands, palms facing him.
“You made your point!” He yelled desperately, “We’ll leave you alone, by all that is good I knew this was a bad idea!”
Tresh narrowed his eyes. Should he really let something like this go? These morons did try to rob him, after all. If he left them be, they may rob someone else less able to defend themselves… Like a granny or a little girl, or maybe even a granny with a little girl. Either way he needed to figure out what to do with these two.
