    “Sweetheart, what’s on your mind?” Andrew, still damp from the shower, walked over to Madisyn. His face was free of the earlier unease, reced by quiet concern for the woman he adored.


    Madisyn looked up at him, her heart softening.


    To her, Andrew had always been a pir of strength.


    He was mysterious yet dependable, the one person she knew would stand behind her through anything.


    No matter what storm mighte, Andrew could handle it.


    And if he couldn’t, well—she would be there to face it with him. Madisyn came to that realization.


    “Nothing much. I was just waiting for you. I really hope you’ll finish work earlier next time.”


    As Andrew met Madisyn’s caring gaze, his thoughts drifted back to the condition from the Mafelenpany. He concealed the fleeting emotion in his eyes and softly ruffled Madisyn’s hair.


    “Sorry, there’s a project that needs pushing forward. Once this is over, I’ll take you on a trip, okay? Somewhere to rx.”


    “Sure.” Madisyn agreed softly. “But promise me, no matter how busy you get, you’ll eat well and get enough rest. You’re mine now, and I won’t let my man sacrifice his health for work.”


    “You’re so bossy.”


    Andrew couldn’t help but let out a lowugh as he affectionately pinched Madisyn’s cheek and sank onto the bed beside her.


    “Alright, I promise you, Your Majesty…”


    The bedroom lights went out, leaving only amp that cast a soft, warm glow over the couple as they held each other and drifted to sleep.


    The next morning, Andrew and Madisyn woke up at the same time. After their morning run, a quick freshen-up, and breakfast, Andrew dropped Madisyn off at her office before heading to the Klein Group.


    His secretary greeted him with a meticulous breakdown of the day’s schedule, including a response from the Mafelenpany the night before. Andrew listened quietly before waving the secretary away. Alone, he dialed a number.


    “Check the situation in Mafelen. Also, I want a detailed report on all special figures entering Lorpond recently.”


    “Yes, sir.”
