Chapter 18: Unimed Distributions

"I still can''t believe this." Matt shook his head from where he sat in the passenger''s seat. "The world works in mysterious ways."
"I think it''s lord not world." I said with a grin.
"Same difference." Matt scoffed, waving away my words. "Your mom just had a seventy million dors real estatepany lying around and didn''t give you until you''re twenty two?"
"Well, when you think about it from her perspective, it makes sense." I shrugged, keeping my eyes on the road.
"Hmmn." Matt nodded. "You''re right. What''s a seventy million dorpany when you have a billionaire dad? Your sisters are literally richer than that. Well, except the youngest."
I nodded in agreement. "She couldn''t have seen thising."
This is another advantage of having my rewarde in such a legally wrapped and packaged little bow. I don''t have to exin like a mad man to Matt where I got the money.
What would I say? It just magically appeared? He''d still stand by me but he''d definitely assume that the cash had been made illegally.
"And there''s more where that came from?"
"Yeah. It''s a testamentary trust. Apparently, she wanted me to achieve some things before I get the rest."
"Damn. Didn''t know your mum was that rich."
"Me too."
After receiving my inheritance, I had gone online, searching for any information avable on my mother and I couldn''t find anything. It was as if she didn''t exist.
Or at least that was what I thought until the system made an appearance.
[Restricted Information!]
[All ess to this information has been restricted as it would affect reward payments.]
Me actively seeking and finding information on my mother would mean the system would have to find other ways to pay me and they might not be as ideal as this.
"You know, if you think about it, it actually makes sense." Matt said, bringing me back to the present.
"Your father was already a billionaire by the time he met your mum. They wouldn''t have been that closer if she was actually an ordinary woman, right?"
"I guess."
Logan Voss did have a reputation for only marrying or dating women who were already rich. His first wife, the mother of my elder step sisters, had actually been richer than he was when they got married.
Then, she died of cancer, leaving him her wealth. Apparently, she''d been so much in love with him, trusting him to look after her two daughters.
Well, contrary to what you''re thinking, he actually did give them their inheritance when they came of age but not before using it to build his own wealth.
Hispany now owns significant shares in theirpanies and they see each other at work everyday.
"So," Matt grinned, "what does this Cooper Real Estate do?"
"Well, it''s just like every other real estate investment firm. They buy, manage and sell real estate properties."
"Here''s a fun fact." I grinned, ncing at him to see him listening attentively. "While Cooper Real Estate is valued at seventy million dors, they manage approximately 500 million dors in assets."
"Damn." Matt whistled, impressed.
"And it has an annual revenue of at least 18 million dors."
"That''s... disappointing." Matt frowned.
"It''s actually impressive." I corrected. "Most people thinkpanies make some giant amountpared to what they''re worth every year but that''s not actually true."
"That automobilepany, Ve for example, is worth at least 700 billion dors and I think had a yearly revenue of 96 billion. That''s around fifteen percent of it''s worth." I exined.
"Cooper Real Estate is raking in around twenty five percent of their worth in revenue. That''s impressive as fuck."
"Well, you know these things better than I do." Mattughed.
"We''re here." I pulled into the parking space in front of the building.
It was seven stories tall and at the top had the name of thepany on it.
Cooper Real Estate.
I own thepany now. I''ll be an idiot not to take a look for myself.
We stepped out of the car to see that there was already someone waiting for us outside, standing alone.
"Wee, Mr. Voss." He grinned as he came forward to shake my hand.
n/?/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Mr. Gray." I shook his hand. "I already said there was no need for an entourage. I don''t subscribe to those outdated practices."
"I know, I know." Mr. Gray, the current CEO of Cooper Real Estateughed. "That''s why I''m the only one here greeting you personally."
"There is no need for that." Iughed along with him. "This is my business partner, Matthew Hardin."
Matt''s brows rose from being referred to as a business partner but shook Gray''s hand all the same.
Then, we went up to his office, discussing the past, present and future of thepany.
The more we spoke, the more I realized how smart Gray was.
I could understand why Lincoln had ced him in charge of thepany and I had no intention of removing him as CEO.
Yes. I won''t be taking over thispany for now. I had bigger things to pursue and leading apany would only restrict my time.
We sat in the spacious office discussing and the topic finally got to the real reason I was here.
The reason why I prefer the 70 millionpany instead of 70 million cash.
"ording to our records," Gray presented the documents, "you currently have up to 15 million dors in unimed distributions. From what you said, you''d like to im it now?"
I nodded. "Yes, I will."
For limited liabilitypanies like this, I am entitled to a percentage of the profits as a shareholder and the total after twenty two years is a whooping fifteen million.
Thepany originally earned around 3 million a year twenty-two years ago and had grown it to its current 18 million.
After paying the operating expenses and taxes, I am entitled to a small percentage of that profit and the rest is invested back into the business.
With that money in my hand, I''ll use M and buy my way into the wealthy people''s yground.
