Chapter 54 54: Celestial Descent

As the destructive dragon breath swept toward him, Orson''s mind raced with survival strategies.

His eyes darted to a broken bridge not far away. Escaping the boss''s devastating attack seemed impossible—unless he jumped off the cliff.

It was a desperate gamble. The height alone would cost the boss 50,000 HP if it fell. For Orson, with his fragile HP pool, it would be certain death.

Without hesitation, Orson hurled himself into the abyss.

    Falling…

His body plummeted through the air, and Orson began counting silently.

    "Five seconds… Four seconds…"

Behind him, the terrifying green dragon breath followed relentlessly. Everything in its path disintegrated, the ground and walls cleaving apart as if struck by a divine de. Massive boulders rained down in pursuit, hurtling toward Orson''s rapidly descending form.

It was a scene of utter annihtion—no escape, no survival.

As the ground rushed up to meet him, Orson suddenly whispered:

    "Ethereal Body!"

A silver radiance burst forth from his body, illuminating the cavern like a fragment of the Bright Gxy itself, casting light across half the underground dungeon.

    Damage Immunity Activated!

    Fall Immunity Activated!

    Impact Immunity Activated!

The green dragon breath swept through Orson''s position, but eerily, it passed straight through his chest.

The boulders smashing into him disintegrated upon contact, reduced to dust in the wake of the divine power shielding him. It was as though he were under the direct protection of the gods themselves.

Orson stood unscathed in the radiant glow, clutching a broken figurine in his hand—the source of the celestial brilliance.

    [Elven Queen''s Effigy]

Effect: Ethereal Body – Immune to all damage for three seconds.

    Orson exhaled deeply.

Even as a damaged relic, the effigy remained an invaluable divine artifact. He couldn''t imagine how overpowered it would be if it were fully intact.

Above, King Ma hesitated. The bone dragon''s sunken sockets narrowed in what could only be described as incredulity. It hadn''t expected the puny adventurer to survive.

Furious, it unleashed another wave of dragon breath.

"Damn it, why is everything dragon-rted in this game such a pain to deal with!" Orson spat, his annoyance bubbling over.

Bone dragons weren''t true dragons. Most were undead constructs, created by powerful dark magic from high-tier dragons.

Yet even in their degraded state, Lord-ss bone dragons were forces of nature.

Dragon breath was equivalent to A-tier magic, with no cooldown and immense destructive power. A boss like Ma could easily spew out a dozen waves without running dry.

Orson''s eyes glinted with icy resolve. Twirling his Fox n Mage Staff, he roared:

    "The me Dragon, drop it!"

As Ma reared back to unleash its dragon breath, a fiery serpent materialized above it.

    BOOM!

The me Dragon crashed onto Ma''s neck with crushing force, ck smoke spewing from the impact.

The uncast dragon breath erupted within Ma''s throat, triggering a catastrophic bacsh.

    -100,000!

A mournful wail escaped the bone dragon as a gaping, two-meter-wide hole opened in its neck. A massive chunk of its HP vanished.

While dragons were near-invincible apex predators, their strengths often hid critical weaknesses. Dragon breath, though devastating, was a double-edged sword.

Any interruption during its casting could cause severe bacsh, inflicting massive damage and applying a Weakness Debuff for one minute.

The debuff halved all of Ma''s stats except its HP.

Orson smirked. Ma, clumsy and inexperienced, was clearly unskilled at using its undead body.

Real dragons, the ones Orson had encountered in his past life, were cunning beyond measure. They would activate immunity before casting dragon breath, negating its vulnerabilities.

    -50,000!

The boss mmed into the ground, throwing up a cloud of dust. The impact triggered additional fall damage.

The momentum sent Ma''s massive frame bouncing slightly off the ground. Orson seized the moment.

    "Explosive Fireball!"

The fireball exploded against the boss''s chest, lifting it half a meter into the air.

Orson followed up with precise basic attacks, keeping Ma airborne.

To anyone else, this would be a ludicrous disy of control.

Infinite Dimensions'' knock-up mechanics were notoriously tricky to exploit. Watching Orson juggle a massive Lord-ss boss would drive any other mage to despair.

    Combo Count: 5!n/?/vel/b//jn dot c//om

    Combo Count: 10!

As Ma''s immunity wore off, it became a helpless, battered wreck under Orson''s relentless assault.

Back in his early days, when Orson had barely 0.5 attack speed, he could juggle the Dark Queen to death with basic attacks alone.

Now, with a wide arsenal of magic at his disposal, the bone dragon was nothing more than an oversized punching bag.

Orson''s chain of strikes sent Ma from a modest half-meter height to a hundred meters in the air.

    Combo Count: 200!

Judging the boss''s remaining HP, Orson unleashed Quaking Stone Spikes.

A massive rock spike shot from the ground, impaling Ma squarely in the chest. The poor creature was sent plummeting back to earth.

    "Die!"

    -50,000!

The fall damage sealed Ma''s fate. The mighty Lord-ss bone dragon was killed by sheer gravitational force.

"You have in King Ma. Experience gained: 80,000!"

A system announcement boomed across the server.

"Regional Announcement: yer Orgod has astonished the world by single-handedly defeating the legendary dungeon boss [Lord-ss: King Ma]!"

"Rewards: Free Attribute Points +90, Skill Points +40, Reputation +20,000, Gold +100!"

The world channel went silent for three seconds.

IndomitableSolitude: "Soloed… a legendary dungeon. My god!"

Scarreddes: "How does anyone stop this guy? We struggle with regr bosses, and he solos a Lord-ss one!"

Money Traveler: "Well, look who it is—our guild master! Damn it, he''s showing off again. I bet he''s reading this and grinning like an idiot."

Madman: "Bradley, stop yapping and recruit some members for the guild! I''m dering this now—anyone with a grudge against Orgod, settle it with him. Don''t target me during the war!"

Orson''s eyes twitched. These two clowns never missed a chance to roast him.

Even the usually cocky big guilds like Dragon''s Kiss Guild fell silent.

Challenging Orson''s feat now would only invite ridicule.

Orson sighed and opened the guild chat.

"Enough chatter. I''ve made a list of recruits—contact them and ask if they''re interested."

Granting Bradley and Madman vice leader privileges, he sent them a carefully curated list of ten names.

Bradley: "Wait, you''re inviting a Level 10 priest? You''re joking, right?"

Orson: "No. These ten are non-negotiable. Handle the rest however you want."

The listprised low-level, seemingly unremarkable yers. But Orson knew their potential—they would be the backbone of Godyer.
