    In her dream, she returned to the day Charlie died. Charlie''s condition worsened due to a high fever, and she required immediate surgery. However, the doctor told her that the kidney donor had suddenly backed out, making the surgery impossible. Evelyn''s world copsed. At that moment, she thought of Charles. She kept dialing his phone, hoping he could find a donor for their daughter, but no one answered.


    Charlie couldn''t wait any longer. Her little hand slipped from Evelyn''s, and she closed her eyes forever as shey in her arms. Evelyn''s heart was shattered.


    Evelyn held her daughter tightly, crying her heart out, unwilling to ept this reality. She kept calling her daughter''s name, begging Charlie not to leave her.     His tone was still stiff, but it was clear he was trying to soothe Evelyn. She cried even harder, tears streaming non-stop.


    Charles'' frown deepened, and suddenly, he pinched her chin and lowered his head to kiss her.


    His intention was to stop her from crying because it was bothering him, but once the kiss began, it gradually changed in nature.
