Chapter 46 Intimacy (1)

It was nearly nightfall, and a maid pressed her ear against the bedroom door, her breath catching in shock. The soundsing from within were—unbelievable. Was it possible? Had the Empress finally tamed the insatiable Argider?

Behind her, another maid gasped, eyes wide with disbelief.

"T-The Empress is...forting the Emperor!" The first maid stammered, voice hushed but full of scandal.

The other one squinted their eyes, confused. "But... but that can''t be right. The Emperor has never... you know... done it with her. Not in all these years!"

"Don''t believe me?" The first maid sighed, leaning in closer. "Come here, listen for yourself!"

The second maid hesitated, but curiosity got the best of her. She too pressed her ear against the door, eyes widening. What was that? Groaning, moaning, the unmistakable creak of the bed. But wait—why was it the Emperor screaming in distress? And not the Empress?

Just then, the door swung open with dramatic ir.

"Oh? Do you have any business?" came the silky voice of the Empress.

The two maids went still, caught in the act. Their eyes widened like two startled rabbits, before they immediately dropped into the deepest bows they could muster. Their fingers twitched as if preparing to flee, but their bodies were frozen in the most exaggerated positions, like a pair of statues at risk of crumbling at the slightest movement.

"Forgive us, Your Majesty!" they squeaked in unison.

The Empress gave them a look that could freeze fire, one eyebrow arched with all the deadly elegance of a royal. She knew what they''d been eavesdropping on. And anyone who had spent five minutes in the pce knew that Esmeralda''s wrath was a thing of nightmares.

"W-We were just passing by, Your Imperial Majesty, on cleaning duties..." one maid stammered, beads of sweat running down her forehead. Her voice trembled as she awaited the inevitable p or biting insult, something that was practically a daily urrence when it came to Esmeralda.

"Ah, I see..." Esmeralda said, her tone t and utterly unfazed. "Continue then..."

The two maids dared to nce up at the Empress, their bodies still stiff as statues. They were drenched in sweat, eyes wide and unfocused, as though they''d just glimpsed the gates of heaven... or maybe fallen through them. One of them couldn''t help but notice a few fresh bite marks on Esmeralda''s neck.

The most likely culprit? Argider, of course. She was the only one who could make her look like that—and make her look like she''d just returned from a wrestling match with a bedpost.

"Y-Yes, Your Majesty..." the other maid squeaked.

Esmeralda walked past them, pletely indifferent, like she had just taken a casual stroll after an afternoon tea. After all that vigorous bed "exercise," she felt a strange sense of calm—soft, even. Who knew that this was the secret to her serenity?

The maids stood there, utterly dumbstruck. Normally, they would have been sent running for their lives after crossing paths with Esmeralda—usually, it involved hands flying or insults sharper than a dagger. But today? She seemed... happy. Too happy. And it was... unsettling.

Meanwhile, Argidery there, utterly spent and looking like she''d just been through a battle... with a particrly angry mattress. They''d survived several rounds, but the Empress'' relentless vigor had somehow turned the tables. Argider was now the one left battered, bruised, and very much on the receiving end of Esmeralda''s enthusiastic pursuits.

She tried to sit up, but every inch of her body seemed to protest. She winced as an ache radiated from her hips—oh, wonderful—and soon realized her whole body felt like it had been run over by a horse-drawn carriage. Arms, legs, stomach... Even her private parts were crying out in protest. And let''s not forget the lovelypanion of menstruation cramps, which felt like the cherry on top of this delightful experience.n/?/vel/b//in dot c//om

But, at least there was one small mercy in all of this. Despite the chaos that had unfolded, Argider couldfortably say she wasn''t pregnant.

No, the Empress had very much avoided that particr oue. Argider, bless her, had learned that the hard way—her wife had been very careful to avoid anything near the entrance to her... well, her entrance.

"I suppose... everything was worth it..." Argider muttered, copsing back onto the bed in a heap of exhaustion. She hugged a pillow to her chest like it was herst lifeline. And truth be told, after all that had just happened, it might very well have been.

She was still entirely clothes-free, her body a battlefield of sensations—some pleasurable, others… not so much. She sighed, staring at the ceiling in something like reluctant satisfaction.

"But it''s still so disgusting," she groaned, rolling her head to the side. "They probably cursed my female body to make me feel good with Esmeralda... or maybe with anyone... I wouldn''t put it past them."

Argider gritted her teeth as he stormed into her chambers, mming the door behind him. She''d barely been able to tolerate another minute in her presence. The woman was a curse. No, she was the curse.

How else could he exin the maddening pull she had on him, the way his body betrayed him every time she got close? It was ridiculous. She made everything a game, and somehow, he always seemed to be losing.

She buried her ace in her friands, cursing her own weakness. Se hated how sheughed that carefreeugh, how her eyes glinted with mischief.

The chase was one thing—she could endure that. But the way she made her feel? That was another matter entirely. Argider had no idea how to fight this.
