Damon had prepared a pure white, strapless long dress for N, tailored at the waist and featuring ayered skirt. The bottomyer was made of white silk, while the topyer was sheer, adorned with sequins that shimmered under the lights.
The dress was simply elegant, and N instantly fell in love with it.
The shoes were crystal heels with a crystal flower embellishing the toes-glistening and stunning.
After changing into the dress and shoes, N pushed open the door and stepped out of the car.
A cold breeze blew by, causing her to shiver involuntarily. The next moment, a warm coat was draped over her shoulders.
"Let''s go," Damon said, taking her hand and leading her inside.
He walked half a step ahead of her, and she couldn''t help but admire his tall, handsome figure. Her eyes sparkled with joy, and warmth spread through her heart.
As they entered Genge residence''s hall, the space was brightly lit and bustling with people.
Vrie spotted N and hurried over after exchanging a few words with the people next to her.
"N, you finally made it! I''ve been waiting for you!" she called out.
"I got held up on the way," N replied.
Damon looked at N and said quietly, "I''m going over there. If you need anything, just call for me."
N nodded and handed back the coat that had been draped over her.
Damon took the coat, nodded at Vrie, and walked away.
As soon as he was gone, Vrie grabbed N''s hand. "N, the approach you suggested really worked! I pestered Brandon at hispany all afternoon. He''s still mad, but his attitude toward me is much better than before."
"If you keep it up, maybe you''ll be able to patch things up tonight," N suggested.
Vrie nodded eagerly. "You have toe with me to find Tom. I want to talk to him properly."
N looked at her. "Vrie, should you maybe think this through? You and Brandon are fighting over Tom right now. If he finds out you''re. meeting with Tom privately, all your efforts today will have been for nothing."
At her words, Vrie hesitated, her brows furrowing.
Seeing her conflicted expression, N lowered her voice. "I think you don''t need to rush things with Tom. You don''t even like him anymore, right? Just try to avoid him inthe future."
Just as Vrie was about to respond, a cheerful voice interrupted them. "Aunt N, I didn''t expect to see you here!"
Vrie and N turned to see a woman in a light blue spaghetti strap dress walking toward them.
As she approached, N finally recognized her. It was Damon''s niece, Charlotte.
She wasn''t close with Charlotte, so she was surprised by her enthusiasm.
Vrie shot N a look that said, "Who is she?"
N replied quietly, "Damon''s niece, Charlotte Sumner."
While they were talking, Charlotte had already reached N.
"Aunt N I''ve mentioned several times to Uncle Damon that he should bring you to dinner with us. He always declined. I''ve wanted to meet you properly for a while," Charlotte said.
N smiled and greeted her. "Your uncle is over there handling business."
"I just said hi to him. Aunt N, the real reason I came to find you today is something else," Charlotte replied.
N''s eyes widened in surprise. "What is it?"
Charlotte nced at Vrie, looking hesitant to speak.
Vrie tactfully released N''s hand. "N, I''m going to chat with some friends over there. I''lle find youter." "Okay," N answered.
