It has been about four days since my last entry, but we have been traveling and sleeping just fine on the trail we pave. I still have my reservations, but my family won’t listen. They’re stubborn just like my father, too pig headed to listen to reason. We met some other families about two days into our trip, but they looked… worn and torn. Like something had come out and attacked them for food or something. They were composed of a mother and an eight year old son. The father wasn’t anywhere to be seen. Their carriage was also very torn up, and it looked like they had packed for thirteen people instead of two. I began to brew questions in my mind, but I couldn’t voice them so as to not upset these people after what they had possibly gone through. They Left without saying any words to us, only speaking in a tongue that sounded deranged. I kept my wife and daughter close after they left and told the boys to have their rifles ready at all times. We need to be more careful out here than we thought.
