《Azure Chronicles: Primordial Heavens》 Chapter 1: The Invader From Beyond The Boundary of Time and Space Within the seemingly endless confines of the domain known as Delver''s Springs [a popular domain known for its high-grade loot and for never running out of said loot], MSC Zalroth stood atop a tall pillar made from a castle-themed bannana-yellow marble. MSC Zalroth had his hands crossed as he surveyed the surrounding parts of the domain and the many floating architecture-filled islands formed from banana-yellow marble. "I know you don''t need to eat or drink, but it''d be nice if you''d be present at the picnic!" Lorida the demi-mothion shouted from below. MSC Zalroth remained firmly planted on top of the marble pillar and Lorida glared at him before she defeatedly sighed. Lordia sat down on the picnic blanket "At least he showed up for a change, master," Valina the demi-mothion fae stated calmly before picking up a normal-sized cookie, which was roughly her height in diameter, and took a bite out of it. "I guess...," Lorida murmured defeatedly before picking up a glass filled with apple juice. She glared at the apple juice before glancing up at Husk the abyssal demon with a less intense stare. Husk rolled his eyes as he took a sip of his apple juice. "I told you, until you revert back to your original age you''re not having any alcohol," Husk stated with a stern tone. Lorida deflatedly exhaled before taking a sip of her apple juice. "So... Magic Sand Construct Type: Chronia... was it? Is there anything else you''d rather be called by instead of your current name?" Lorida asked while looking over at MSC Chronia, as she was cloud gazing. MSC Chronia placed multiple of her hands on her face before humming loud enough to make MSC Zalroth glance down at her. "Well... since my original counterpart doesn''t like nor use her original... how about you call me Nai?" MSC Chronia reccomended. Lorida nodded affirmatively. "Got it... and what about him?" Lorida asked while gesturing to MSC Zalroth. "That''s gonna be tougher since his original counterpart never changed his name," Nai remarked with a serious tone. Nai placed all of her hands on her head before putting her brain into overdrive to brainstorm names. "Soko, Sykizo, Satoro, Dave, Motaro Zalivo, Vejiko, Valtano, Veltako, hmmmn,". Nai continued to murmur out names but after a while her murmuring devolved into microwave noises. "Zalnano," MSC Zalroth stated bluntly. Nai shot up into an upright sitting position with a surprised expression all over her face. "Omgs, that''s so good, cuz your nickname can be Nano like the-" Nai blurted out excitedly before she cut herself off and squinted her eyes at something in the distance, as Nano got into a combat-ready stance atop the marble pillar. "What is it, Ma- Nai?" Valina asked as she fluttered over to Nai while carrying the cookie with both her hands. A raging surge of wind blasted them, as Nano launched himself off the marble pillar before he reeled his fist back and sucker punched the large hurtling blurr heading straight for Lorida and the others. Nano spun around, roundhouse kicked the hurtling object and sent it flying into the distance. Nano reached out his hand and clasped it at the object before a swarm of banana-yellow marble chunks slammed into the object and trapped it in a large marble satellite. Nano lowered his arm before poofing into a cloud of banana-yellow magic sand and reforming onto of the marble pillar. "How odd. I could''ve sworn I marked this area as a safe zone... how did something manage to get so close?" Lorida murmured angrily while thinking the picnics going to be ruined. "Doesn''t the safe zone only stop the creature made by the domain?" Nai asked as she rose to her feet. Nai and Lorida sat in silence as the implication of the thing Nano trapped could be from outside Delver''s Springs. "Honestly, I don''t know what''s worse, me messing up the safe zone''s settings or forgetting to close the entrance to Delver''s Springs," Lorida remarked under her breath defeatedly. "It wouldn''t be the first time you''ve done either," Husk stated coldly with a joking tone. Lorida aggressively squinted at Husk and huffed at him. "Hey! ... rude...," Lorida said as her angered demeanour melted into an embarrassed puddle. Nano landed next to the group and placed his fist together. "What would you like to be done with the unknown monster?" Nuno asked as he slightly bowed to Lorida. Lorida and Husk gave Nuno perplexed side eyes before looking straight a him.Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation. "Didn''t you get a good look at it?" Husk asked with a hint of concern. "I did... but I''ve never seen any creature which matches my imparted memories," Nano stated calmly. The group looked puzzled and concerned at hearing the invading monster is unknown even to Nano. A faint rumbling noise echoed past the group, causing all of them to glance at the marble satellite as a small crack formed on it. The forming crack halted its growth before half of the marble satellite exploded as multiple solid dark purple misty tendrils jetted out from the satellite. Husk sprung to his feet, dashed past Nano and slammed his everwood (dark platinum tree-like material with glowing dark cyan cracks running throughout all of it) left arm into the ground, and his arm rapidly grew and expanded into a large wall. The tendril slammed into the Husk''s everwood wall, casting splinters in every direction as the tendrils repeatedly slammed against the wall. Husk the upper half of his arm from the wall before regenerating his everwood arm as Nano continued to face away from the everwood wall. Nano glanced at his palm before over at Lorida. "Do you give me permission to use my Hikogami Toraru techniques?" Nano asked. Lorida stared at the towering everwood wall as the roars of the tendrils slamming against it reverberated through the wall. Lordia defeatedly sighed before giving Nano a thumbs up. Nano bowed and conjured a magigold (luminescent gold) fixed fan with a self-handle with a long folding fan between the fixed fan''s fan from a cloud of pale banana-yellow magic sand. Nano closed the folding fan part of his hand fan to make it appear like a long sword. The tendrils reeled back and slammed into the marble satelite; the satelite shattered into pieces and the monster within blasted out from the shattered marble. The solid dark purple misty creature morphed its shape until into took on the appearance of a werewolf with a mist trail lower body and tens of squid-like tendrils pretruding from its back. The monster howled and unleashed a deafening shockwave from its mouth which slammed into the brittle everwood wall. The monster pulled all its tendrils back before hurling all of them at the everwood wall. The tendrils pierced through the air and caused it to howl as the tendrils drew near to the everwood wall. "Storm Style: Tempest Force: Galing Storm," Nano stated calmly as he jumped over the everwood wall while his hand fan long sword''s folding fan blade was coated in a storm mana (dark green mana). Nano swiftly slashed his hand fan longsword at the tendrils and hundreds of large storm mana bladed ravaged the tendrils into tiny uniform pieces. The force of the unifed slashes unleashed a strong gust of wind which obliterated the battered everwood wall and knocked the monster away. The monster regained its balance and stared down the floating Nano with its glowing purple eyes. "You better not mess around like Zalroth!" Lorida shouted from the floating marble island. Nano glanced back at Lorida and nodded at her before back at the monster before getting into a combative stance. Nano flicked his hand fan long sword and the folding fan blade opened up revealing the large text of an unknown language on the open folding fan blade. "Frigid Style: Eternal Frost....". Frost mana (opaque white ice mana) gathered around the folding fan part of his hand fan longsword and formed into small ice balls. The monster braced itself for Nano''s attack but as it watched every of Nano''s micromovements it was suddenly triple punched in the face by Kai as she jetted past the monster. "Frozen Photon," Nano uttered coldly before single-handed batting the frost mana balls at the monster with the hand fan long sword. The disorientated monster caught the light flickering through the frost mana balls and raised a hand towards the closest ice ball. The frost mana ball slammed into the monster''s hand before exploding and rapidly expanding around the monster''s arm until it formed into a mini opaque white iceberg. The monster recoiled back as the other frost mana ball rocketed toward it but despite its efforts, the other frost mana balls caught it before its entire body was encased in opaque white ice. Nai playfully giggled as she floated up to the frozen monster and grabbed it with all of her eight arms. Nai flexed her arms before she flung the frozen monster straight into the air. Nano flicked the small remnants of ice off the folding fan part of his hand fan long sword before he grabbed the handle of his long sword with both his hands. "Blaze Style: Hellfire Flash....". Fire mana spiralled around the open folding fan blade before gathering into a sphere; fire mana continued to gather into the sphere as it slowly shrank and rapidly converted into blaze mana (dark blue fire mana) until the sphere was the size of a golf ball. "Blazing Sun.". Nano tensed up his arms before batting the Blazing Sun ball like a professional baseball batter. The Blazing Sun ball rocketed through the air and melted straight through the opaque white ice from the Frozen Photon. The light of the Blazing Sun ball grew and grew until the once white iceberg was now shining a dazzling deep blue. Nano waved his hand upwards and his hand fan sword dispersed into a cloud of magic sand before the glowing iceberg cracked. The iceberg shattered and the Blazing Sun ball exploded from the cracks before destroying everything in its expanding vesinity. The Blazing Sun ball grew to the size of a massive fireball before exploding high in the sky like a supernova and illuminating every inch of Delver''s Springs. "To think you''d use The Dance of War... that monster must have been strong right?" Nai remarked cheekily as she floated around Nano and poked him with some of her hands while holding the others on her chin. Nano sighed dismissively as he placed his hand on Nai''s face and pushed her slightly back. "When I''m asked to be serious I shall obl-". Nano swung his head around and looked around at his surroundings as Nai grabbed Nano''s hand and lowered it. "What''s wrong, Nano?" Nano asked with a fake worried tone. Nano and Nai looked around at their surroundings realizing everything from the floating marble islands and floating marble chunks were frozen in place. Nano ever so slightly widened his eyes before darting his vision down at Lorida, Husk, and Valina to see they weren''t frozen in time. Nano closed his eyes and opened them back to their neutral state. Chapter 2: The Being From [;.,)(^^#~] Bestows A Gift Lorida, Husk, and Valina gazed upon their surroundings and watched the surrounding floating marble islands/chunks suspended in the air but refusing to do their usual bobbing as if they were floating on water. "What gives? Is the domain buffering because of the monster being in a safe zone again?" Lorida complained aloud as Nano and Nai reformed next to her. "I do not believe so," Nano stated while pointing at the baseball-sized ball of light floating around Husk. The group watched the ball of light flutter away from Husk and to the other side of the picnic blanket away from the group. The ball of light flickered before the physical space around it contorted around the light orb giving the illusion of a short girl in her teenaged years with scruffy hair. The girl flicked its head upwards, and two large horns made from azure blue crystal aether popped out on the sides of its head, and a fur-looking cloak made from contorted physical space appeared around it. The teen girl made from contorted physical space crossed its arms, looked away and huffed disapprovingly. "Rude... one was in the middle of something... but you just had to point one out," the girl made of contorted space whined with a bratty girl voice while the faint choir of thousands of different voices repeated its words. Lorida lent over to Husk as the girl continued to whine. "Say..., didn''t Zalroth mention something about a being made from bent space?" Lorida whispered to Husk, with Husk telling her not to whisper about someone in front of her. "Greetings manifestation of The Concept of...; I apologise. I do not believe my imparted memories from Lord Zalroth depict you in any of them," Nano stated with a polite tone while bowing a knee to the being. "It''s fine one has only ever met Chronia so it''s to be expected," the girl made of contorted space stated before placing a hand on its chest. "You may refer to one as Evona: The Concept of Re-Formation," Evona stated. Evona placed its fists on its hips before sighing. "Alright, one''s going to put this as simple as possible as the events one shall bestow the knowledge relating to the upcoming event... ... ... why aren''t we allowed to talk normally to people?" Evola said as its words devolved into muttering as it ruffled its scruffy hair. "The creature you battled was a Primordial; they are creatures that cause disruptions to any reality that hasn''t been modified to resist their influence, but luckily for this one, you dealt with the primordial before it could do any significant damage to your reality," Evona stated. The group listened quietly to Evona as she talked before a thought entered Lorida''s mind. "Does that mean you''ll have to do some modifications to our... reality since another one of those monsters might appear?" Lorida asked worriedly. "Indeed, as the Concept of Re-Formantion, it is one''s duty to re...structure worlds to be resilient for any external threats, like maintaining the God Incarnates," Evona stated, leaving the group aside from Nano and Nai in shock. "You... made the original Heavenly Heroes?" Husk asked. Evona shook her head.Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road. "One stated they do broad maintenance for the world and its protectors, but the one who originally creates them would be Ela, The Concept of Creativity," Evona clarified. "Damn... does that mean we''re getting rebooted like those old TV shows?" Nai asked jokingly. "Seeing as you lot dealt with the Primordial in one''s stead, one shall reward you with the retention of your memories along with the current God Incarnates, alternate reality versions of the original God Incarnates, and Deva. Before you ask no the alternate version of the original God Incarnate you''re thinking of won''t know any of you through their own memories," Evona stated, causing Lorida, Valina, and Nai to disapointedly sigh. Evona looked at the group until they seemed to get over the initial shock of the revelation. "Before I begin the rebooting, do any of you have any questions?" Evona asked calmly. The group thought it over before they shook their heads. "Good," Evona stated before its horns began to glow. The horn''s light exploded and blinded the group as it engulfed the world before at the snap of Evona''s fingers everything went black. Nano felt an unusual spine-chilling chill course through his body. The sensation was foreign and even alien to the sentient magic sand construct given the lack of his own ego, despite the irony he, himself, acknowledges. "This is... a bizarre feeling. Unit cannot say it would recommend keeping it," Nano stated to himself before he felt a concentration of the cold sensation press against the top of his back. Nano (now had the appearance of a twenty-year-old) lazily opened his eyes and he realized he was lying on a bed in a bedroom. He blinked and rubbed his eyes as his blurred vision cleared up allowing him to get a better view of the room. Nano took in his surroundings and finally registered that the reason for the room being dark was simply due to it being the middle of the night. "Unit was certain it was mid-day when Lord Lorida closed Delver''s Springs," Nano muttered mentally. Nano peered around the well/regal furnished room one last time and noticed the empty bed on the opposite side of the room. Nano raised an eyebrow before he felt something cold moving on his back. Nano peered backwards to see Nai sleeping on his back and underneath his shirt. "So, that''s why unit''s back is cold...," Nano mumbled. Nano pushed himself up off the bed, causing the sleeping Nai, with only two arms, and the bedsheet to slide down his back. Nai flopped on top of the scrunched-up bedsheet while remaining in their deep sleep. Nano looked back at Nai before he raised a hand to his face. Nano stared at his hand before making the tops of his fingers into condensed pale banana-yellow magic sand. He clenched his hand and bursted into a magic sand cloud causing Nai to slide down the crumpled bedsheet hill to fill the space Nano left. Nano reformed his body next to the bed and looked at his palms as he repeatedly opened and closed them. "It appears the Concept of Re-Formation did more that allow this unit to retain its memories... although not a one-to-one recreation.". Nano looked at his reflection and his glowing pale golden eyes with thick white horizontal line-shaped pupils while he lightly squeezed his palm. "So, life-like...," Nano commented as he squeezed his palm one last time. Nano looked around the room and strolled over to the two suitcases by the bedroom door. Nano visually inspected the suitcases while pondering his situation. Nano raised a hand to the suitcases but immediately collapsed to his knee before slamming a hand on his forehead as a strong pain pierced through his brain. Nano struggled to keep one of his eyes half open as a glitchy effect overcame his vision while a collage of years worth of new memories entered his mind. Nano heavily breathed in and out as sweat ran down his face. Nano wiped the sweat off his forehead and rose to his feet. "To think receiving memories always comes with mental anguish.". Nano strolled to the centre of the room and raised his hand into the air. He concentrated his magic sand around his hand before constructing The Dance of War (his hand fan longsword weapon). Nano lowered his hand and stared at The Dance of War. Nano nodded before getting into a fighting stance before doing some practice swings. Chapter 3: New World, New Problems but The Same Duo "Alright, you two, the train is going to arrive in two hours, so you best get up," Maria (a female teenaged version of Marok (from AC: Zaonia) with a knee-low curly ponytail) stated as she opened the door. Maria entered the bedroom and stopped mid-step when she saw Nano doing one-handed handstand push-ups. "O-oh... you''re already up, Nano... good; just make sure Naito''s awake for me if you would, I need to get the master''s children ready for kindergarten," Maria stated. Nano gave Maria a thumbs-up with his free hand, and Maria gave a bow before she closed the door behind herself. Nano front flipped onto his feet and strolled over to Nai as they slept in Nano''s bed. "How long are you going to pretend to be asleep, Nai?" Nano stated calmly. Nai rolled over and opened her left eye. "I''m only partly pretending...," Nai muttered before they cut themselves off by yawning loudly. Nai rolled onto their stomach before stretching their arms and legs, causing their six other arms to pop out from the two holes in the back of their oversized yellow shirt. "... Also it''s Naito now... cuz... me... a guy now," Naito uttered as he closed his eye. Nano stood quietly by his bed and watched Naito; A cheeky smirk formed on Naito''s face as he sensed Nano struggling to figure out how to deal with the situation. Naito took a quick peek at Nano, only to quickly get up on his knees and dart his head around the room as he struggled to locate Nano. "Down here.". Naito swiftly peeked his head over the side of the bed and sighed in relief as he saw Nano lying on the floor. Naito gave Nano an annoyed stare before he poked Nano''s forehead. "Why are you on the floor?" Naito asked unamusedly. "Is that question rhetorical?" Nano replied. "Is yours?". "Depends on your answer to unit''s original question," Nano stated calmly before he rolled forward and hopped onto his feet. Naito groaned before he hopped off Nano''s bed and walked over to the dressing mirror. Naito looked at his reflection before letting out a meek sigh and poking one of his chubby thighs. "I thought making myself male would''ve made my thighs slimmer," Naito said disapointedly. "But you seem to have gotten taller," Nano stated, causing Naito to spin around and compare his and Nano''s height. Naito placed his hand paw on top of his head before moving it towards Nano until his paw bumped into Nano''s lower rib. "Woah! A whole inch," Naito said excitedly. "Two inches and a half," Nano stated neutrally. "Oh right, you''re taller too.". Nano raised his hand and clasped it, causing his clothes to burst into a cloud of magic sand before reforming into a set of new clothes: a full-body golden spandex [apart from arms], a completely white kariginu-themed fur hoodie with kitsune ears [have pale banana-yellow tips] and large text on the back in an unknown language, cargo trousers without any pockets, and golden geta. "Now get changed," Nano stated before he bursted apart and formed next to his and Naito''s suitcases. "What do you mean get changed? I''m covered in fur remember?" Naito said cheekily while sticking his tongue out at Nano as Nano checked the suitcases. "That didn''t stop you from repurposing one of the shirts this unit received from Lord Sakamoto," Nano stated as he stood up from the suitcases. Naito shrugged smugly as he reformed himself lying on top of the suitcases.Stolen story; please report. "Well, I don''t feel like it since you stole my previous attire," Naito stated while pointing at Nano''s hoodie. "Very well, you can wear whatever or not wear whatever you want," Nano uttered dismissively. Naito puffed up his cheek and pouted at Nano. "Don''t make me sound like I''m a weirdo, meanie," Naito murmured upsetly. A few minutes later, the duo exited the room. Nano pulled the two suitcases behind him while Naito sat on the platinum-coloured suitcase. As he turned a corner, Nano spotted a wall-sized cluster of large and fluffy kitsune tails at the end of the hallway: half were dark green with glowing cyan tips and the other half were dark silver with glowing black tips. With every step he took towards the cluster of kitsune tails, Nano felt a stronger and stronger pressure being exerted on his soul while his physical body remained unburdened by the pressure. The overwhelming pressure reached its peak and gave Nano the impression someone had dropped a continent on him. Nano was within a foot of the tail cluster before the overwhelming pressure abruptly subsided as the kitsune tails rustled. The tails swerved as the person the tails belonged to turned around and revealed the person to be the towering Zalwrath (a sort of fusion between Zalroth(from Azure Chronicles) and Zalrotho(from Midnight Eternity)). (long spikey hair left half is dark green hair with glowing cyan tips, and the right half is dark silver hair with glowing pale cyan and glowing black tips, pale cyan left eye, pure grey right eye without a pupil, lightly tanned skin, appeared in his thirties, and has a short fluffy beard; he wearing a skintight darksteel threaded full body apart from arms spandex suit, a pink unzipped sweater with a chibi spider head themed hood, black fur combat trousers, pink cat themed slippers, and two pink knitted hair ties tied around the tips of his kitsune ears) "Oh, you two are on the move sooner than I expected," Zalwrath remarked with a deep jolly voice. Zalwrath stood happily in front of Nano and Naito; however, as the duo remained oddly silent, Zalwrath glanced down at the duo to see Naito perplexly looking at his clothes while Nano remained in his eternally unphased state. "Did... Minioa and Nebina make those for you?" Naito asked while pointing at Zalwrath''s sweater and slippers. Zalwrath giddily grinned while he cracked his fingers. "You betcha. It''s honestly breathtaking how skilled they are given they''re only toddlers~" Zalwrath said boastfully. "Yeah... I bet professionals would weep if they knew toddlers were better than them," Naito said jokingly, causing Zalwrath to nod in agreement. "Indeed, but let''s move on to more pressing matters than people''s envy shall we?" Zalwrath stated. Zalwrath reached into one of his tails and pulled out Zallithivo (from Midnight Eternity) and Zalmaru (from Azure Chronicles) in their small animal forms while they were asleep. "Given you''re heading to the... erm...," Zalwrath said. Zalwrath''s left eye flickered to a silvery pale golden sphere with a pale silver dot at the centre of the eye and multiple pale silver concentric rings. Zalwrath''s eye reverted to its original form as he seemed to recall what he was going to say. "Oh right! Halo-Light Academy, since you''re going there you''re going to need families so....". "So, you wish to have Lithivo and Maru act as our familiars, Lord Sakamoto?" Nano asked as he bowed, although it looked kind of goofy given he was holding the suitcases, and Naito couldn''t help but giggle. "I know normally familiars are spirits, faes, and similar sorts of folks, but given how strong you are I''m sure you''ll have a hard time finding any compatible familiars," Zalwrath said with a slightly serious tone. "Your concern is appreciated, and we also appreciate the offer, Lord Sakamoto," Nano stated with a business tone. Zalwrath placed Lithivo and Maru on Nano''s head. Zalwrath crouched down on his shoulder and patted the duo on their shoulders. Zalwrath thought over his words but couldn''t come up with anything and just hung his head for a second. Zalwrath raised his head and gave Nano and Naito a goofy smirk. "Try not to go overboard, Naito; Nano, try to liven up... and I mean it in a more literal sense than changing who you are as a person," Zalwrath said with a smile. Zalwrath patten the two on the shoulders one last time before he stood up; he gave the duo a cheeky smirk before he front-flipped over the duo and walked off. Naito watched Zalwrath as he walked off until he walked around the corner of the hallway. "Man... he''s way waaaayyyy taller than our original Zalroth," Naito said telepathically to Nano. Nano didn''t respond to Naito''s comment and silently looked at his reflection in the window while Zalwrath''s words echoed in his mind.
