《Alfa Hero》 A Birthday to Remember Ugh... Pain... An unbearable pain... Swarming all of my senses I felt an excruciating pain as if I was currently dying. As my consciousness was fading in and out of reality I started to recall the great memories my life had to offer. ''Let''s see, ah yes!'' There was that one time. The most distinct memory I had of my father. We were sitting on the train waiting for our stop, so we could get home on time to set up for Mother''s birthday. Father always somehow managed to be late from picking me up from elementary school. However, I never minded because I knew Father loved me deeply and had always been cramming extra work in at his job. We had just left the train station and were on the way to get supplies from the local retail store when Father asked me. "Hey Harry, what should we get your Mother for her birthday?" "I don''t know Father, how about a car? My friends at school say they go everywhere in a car and never use the train." Father looked at me with a smile and looked as if he''d seriously thought about the idea. However, now thinking back at it, it probably hurt him when I asked this because our family could have never afforded a car at the time. But nevertheless, the question I had asked didn''t dampen his mood. I mean it was Mother''s birthday. "Hmmm..." My 6-year-old self was thinking in heavy contemplation at the time. "How about a box of fancy chocolates and a dress I saw her looking at the other day?", I had asked Father. This book is hosted on another platform. "It seems I''m most likely getting bonus points for this tonight!" He chuckled. "What bonus points Father, can I also join the game?" I asked with a curious expression on my face. Father ended up smirking and saying that I was not old enough to play this game yet. Disappointed I hadn''t given up as I loved playing games as a kid and couldn''t believe that Mother and Father would play one without me. Father and I would always play video games like Ninecraft, Nario, and Nonkey Dong. "Please Father you know I am good at games, I never lose when it comes to Nonkey Dong." "No Harry, you cannot play this game," He said sternly not giving me any opening to ask why. An hour ended up passing and Father was getting anxious wondering what was taking her so long. She had never been late, not even once, always arriving at 6:00 o''clock in the afternoon. Father getting anxious just finishing messaged her wondering what was taking so long. Feeling his anxiety peak after no response for 5 minutes he was just about to leave to go see if something wrong had happened to her at work, when then she pinged him back. ''Sorry work is running a bit late, I''ll be there in a bit.'' She had responded to the text with. Breathing a sign of relief and responding back Father sat back down. "She will be here in a couple more minutes son." He had said with a smile plastered on his face. His anticipation was at an all-time high as he knew she would love the dress he got for her on the way home. However, she would never return back. As it turns out a month later Father found out that she had been having an affair with one of the higher-ups at her job and on the day of her birthday she decided to never come back to our home. Once Father found this out it broke him. Father had never been the same after that day like he had lost something very close to his heart. He ended up feeling unbearable grief that he let his son down. He let his previous wife down, as she had left him for a bigger stack. And after another month I guess he just couldn''t bear the pain of what his wife did to him. On this day my father''s body was found dangling from off a bridge with a rope connected around his neck completely purple and lifeless of oxygen. He had hung himself. This was how the father I had known and deeply loved had committed suicide. *** As a reminder from the tags there will be mature content in this novel. This will be the only time I mention this, as I do not care and have now warned you twice... Embracing the Past After the loss of both his Father and Mother, Harry''s uncle had come to pick him up to take care of him. He had taken Harry to the much more peaceful countryside. Harry remembered this part of his life vividly as everything changed for him that year. Greaving heavily as the pain he''d experienced was unbearable at the time. I mean imagine your life completely crumbling apart in 2 months. He had to witness his father mentally breaking down for 2 whole months after his mother left. Harry had shut himself in his room for an entire month without talking to anyone. Only eating the food his kind uncle had set him at the door, not wanting to hurt him any further while giving him the space he needed. Occasionally he would hear his uncle also mourning for his brother''s death, sobbing down the hall as he was also in agony remembering the memory of seeing his brother commit suicide. However, thinking back to it now this experience made him who he was today. As they say, "What doesn''t kill you makes you stronger." After this memory, to lighten up his supposed last moments, Harry started to remember his first day of high school in the countryside. This was a short but fleeting memory, but very distinct as he remembered how everyone had made fun of him the very first day of school. "HAHAHA, HIS NAME IS WHAT??" "SAY THAT AGAIN TEACH!"The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation. "PLEASE I BEG YOU!!" "..." His teacher had looked at Harry with eyes saying he was sorry for this. "Anyone who laughs at Mr. Balzac''s name will get detention, as of this second." The teacher eyed the class sternly. However, this couldn''t stop an entire class from laughing. "YOU SAID HIS NAME WAS HARRY BALZAC?!" A kid shouted in the back panting trying not to burst at any moment. However, at his point, all of the class had busted out laughing, not able to contain themselves. However, there was one person in the back who hadn''t been laughing and was eyeing Harry with an interest in their eye. After this occurrence, Harry was the laughingstock at his school for an entire year of his school life. It hadn''t been until his Sophomore year of high school that things started to change for the slightly better. The person who hadn''t laughed at him at the time was a girl and a cute one at that. Her name was Emily, and she would talk to him every day on their way to school. Emily had seen something in Harry that most hadn''t which was his maturity. She was attracted to mature men like a moth was to a lamp and she didn''t waste any time at all getting to know Harry. After a year of becoming friends with Emily, Harry ended up asking her out on a date and she accepted instantly. After dating for a month or two. Harry ended up telling Emily his family''s tragic story because it left a huge lump in his heart. After this, she had been considerate and asked him if there were any other burdens he wanted to share so they could both help each other as a team. Emily hated to see Harry try to tackle everything on his own such as the people who bullied him for his name and him mentally fighting against his past traumas all by himself. As he thought back to these memories of the times he had with Emily one memory couldn''t help but resurface. "Ahh" "Those cards all make sense now" Tatiana Tarot Cards It had been just like any other day. "Hey Emily, I see you''re ready to go to school with me," I said with the most gentle smile. Now this had been about 3 months into our relationship and Emily and I had gotten really close with each other. We hugged each other on occasion to express our love. However, nothing had gone past this point as we were only around 17 years old. "Good morning Harry," Emily said as her face lit up upon seeing me. At this point, I could see she had loved me with her entire being unlike most superficial high school relationships. Just being around me would end up lightening her mood on a bad day. "Let''s head to school now Emily." I smiled happily. "Ok," She responded. On our way to school today we decided to take an alternate round as we wanted to enjoy the walk this time. We weren''t used to going this longer route to get to the school so to our surprise we noticed there was a shop that had been set up today. The shop looked as if it had been slapped together in a quick 5 minutes, clearly having fresh paint on the wooden board on top reading, "Tatiana''s Tarot Cards". With the fine print, at the bottom reading ''2 draws per person.'' "OOO, amazing we can see if we''re fated to be together Harry!" Emily exclaimed to me. After she said this I instantly started to wonder when she started to believe in these fairytale nonsense. Being a firm believer in fact and reality I believed that this would be a scam and a waste of time. "Uhh..." Sighing I did not want to partake in this voodoo bogus nonsense. However, I looked over at Emily and saw that she was ecstatic to pull a card at this very moment. "Alright," I agreed. Watching as Emily had gone up to the lady to ask if she could pull her fated cards. I started to wonder to myself, ''I need to see if she has crystals in her room back at home''. If she believed in the crystals I knew there was next to no helping her at this point, she would be lost in astrological delusions. As I moved in to see which card she pulled I got closer and could see it better. On the card, it was a woman who looked utterly holy, a saint to be exact. If I had to guess it was the Virgin Mary. This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work. "Virginity and Fertility is the 1st card you''ve chosen. Interesting... Very interesting." She didn''t bother explaining anything yet as she told her to pull her next card before she would explain the meaning. Emily pulled her next card. This card only had a number on it, 19. Which was quite weird to me, I mean in this entire deck of cards, she bothered making a card with a random ass number on it. Like really this was complete utter bogusness. "19, Yes this makes sense now as there is just as much negative to outway the positive. " As she finished saying this the shopkeeper looked at me sternly and said aloud, "Your destiny is strong, if he could pull 2 more cards from the deck it would very much help me discern the truths from the lies that lie within your fate." After this Emily looked at me with puppy dog eyes, pleading me to pull a card with a just look saying, "Please, please, please pull 2 cards for me". "Okay," I agree I mean what is the worse that could happen? They are just cards, right? Right... AN:(DAMN CLEAR Foreshadowing) After pulling my first card it looked like some type of vehicle. The vehicle looked murderous as if it had eyes of its own bleeding red for blood. "Ahh yes. This is my favorite card you''ve pulled young man. Just know this card is an honor for all." After stating this she told me to pull the next and I did swiftly to get this hocus pocus nonsense over with. The next card was fairly easy to describe as it had a pink heart with chains wrapped around it. "Eternal Love" She stated looking at Emily and then at me. Emily was panting at this point looking at me incredulously, understanding that this was just the card she had wanted. Burning this card into her memory making sure to never forget this moment in her entire life. This was the card she was daydreaming of, believing that this meant they were destined to be together for eternity. Suddenly, behind us, on the road which had been silent up until now came a screeching noise that was incredibly loud, forcing them to turn around and see what was going on. What seemed to be a drunk truck driver had just crashed into a tree off in the distance. He had gotten out of his car and seemed fine after the fact and waved over at us signifying it wasn''t a big problem. "Stupid drunkards" I had mumbled under my breath, as he could have killed someone with that truck-kun over there. Turning around Emily and I wanted to finish this meeting with the tarot card master and head to school at this point. However, after we turned around she had vanished completely stall and all. It was as if she wasn''t there, to begin with. "I told you these types of fortune-telling were fake, and some bogus voodoo nonsense Emily. She probably got up and took the fuck off seeing her chance to dip". I started nodding my head left and right now as this had clearly been a complete waste of time as I said to begin with. Emily looked at me angrily now as if I had stomped on the eternal love she had dreamed of since she was a little kid in elementary school. "Just you wait... just wait," She said as if she was certain these cards would eventually come true. A Beautiful Sunflower
