《Hundred Thousand Realms》 New Arrivals: Breaking and Entering As the day began to break and the night sky loomed in, a small figure shrouded in darkness swiftly passed through the forest and over the mountain. Finally, the shadow made its way onto the roof of a large steel building. It stood five stories tall with three windows, all barred. It seemed the shadow was preparing to enter the facility when a high pitched squeal came from above. The sound of a high-speed projectile flying through the air. BOOM!! The ground shook, alarms triggered by the facility. The shadow rushed to the front of the building only to find a very disturbing scene "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" Mahina shouted as she removed her mask. It was rare for her to shout but the scene she just stepped into had her completely shaken. Robert stood in front of the facility in the middle of a giant crater. The high pitched squeal from before was a result of Robert jumping over the mountain and falling from the sky. "Aww come on now. What''s the issue? I already took out the guards in front for you." Robert said, seemingly baffled by his wife''s reaction. "Yeah and meanwhile you just decided to wake everybody else on THIS GODDA-..." Mahina stopped mid-sentence and took a deep breath "I thought it was understood that this was a stealth mission?" "Well, you just said we would go at night. You never said it was a stealth mission." Robert said "What purpose is there to go at night if we''re just gonna bust down the door and yell "LOOK WHAT WE DID NOW WE''RE COMIN FOR THE KIDS!?" Mahina asked Robert, holding onto her last shred of patience trying her best to reclaim her sanity. As their conversation progressed a large number of soldiers stormed out and pointed their rifles at the two "STATE YOUR BUSINESS!!" The man who seemed to be the leader of the guards shouted at Robert "Okay I get it but I still don''t think it''s that big a deal. It''s not like they can stop us anyway" "True but what if they take the kids hostage" "They''re gonna take their own experiments hostage? Really?" Completely ignoring the man, Robert and Mahina continued to bicker "TO HELL WITH IT! FIRE!!" The leader shouted, enraged by the fact that he was being overlooked. Before a single gunshot rang out Mahina suddenly appeared standing in front of the leader still looking at Robert. As soon as she got there the soldiers fell one by oneIf you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. "Oh, so you think the people kidnapping and throwing away kids care about having to go out and get more?" Mahina continued the conversation without so much as glancing at the guard captain "Alright, I get it. Maybe I should''ve been more cautious. I''m sorry hon." Robert said dejectedly as he finally began to rethink his reckless actions. Hearing this, Mahina donned a very warm smile. She slowly walked over to Robert, grabbing his ear and pulling his head down, and kissed him softly on the cheek "As long as you understand. Now come on Bos, we still got work to do." She said as she suddenly disappeared into the testing facility. The guard captain still stood in shock in front of the entrance. His men had all fallen suddenly and this mysterious woman had somehow appeared and disappeared like a flash of lightning. As he pondered whether what he saw was even human or if it was a phantom of some sort, Robert slowly began walking towards him. As soon as Robert had gotten within reach of the captain, he lifted his right arm and in one fluid motion smacked the man sending him halfway down the mountain they had just trekked up "God I love that woman" And just like that Robert and Mahina had wiped out every soldier in the base without so much as acknowledging a single one of them. Once Robert had gotten inside Mahina was standing in the middle of the hall looking into a room with tears streaming down her face. One look and Robert knew that she had seen something she never should have. He walked up to her and put his arms around her burying the side of her head into his chest and covering her eyes as she continued to tremble and cry. Finally, Robert looked into the room and saw a haunting scene. The small room was filled with mutilated arms and legs too small to belong to an adult. Robert grimaced and held Mahina tighter. "We''re too late. There''s nothing left here." Mahina said, sounding utterly defeated. They stood in silence clinging to one another until they heard a faint noise. The sound of an infant screaming in the distance. As soon as Mahina heard it she instantly stormed through the entire facility, checking every inch of every room on all five floors. Within an instant she was back in front of Robert, panicking. "I can''t find them! I looked in every room and there were no babies! Not even the fifth floor! I don''t know where to look but what if I imagined it and there are no babies but you heard it too so there have to be babies but if they aren''t on any of the flo-" Just then Robert grabbed her arm and put his finger up to his lips. As silence fell again finally they heard the babies cry coming from beneath the floor. Robert walked into the room to his right and slammed his hand through the floor lifting it and revealing the two boys crying below. As soon as he lifted the floor the room began to tremble and the wall collapsed leading to the rest of the building falling apart. "Looks like its gonna be a grab and go" Robert said, smirking at Mahina He and Mahina dropped down, grabbed one baby each, and then took off outside in their own ways. Mahina zigzagging through halls and doors and Robert smashing through walls. As the building fell Robert made it outside to find Mahina sitting on the ground playing with the baby. As she made him laugh small sparks began to fly from his fingertips and toes. "Looks like static likes you" Robert said as he sat down, joining Mahina "He''s got a very shocking personality" Mahina made a corny joke "What happened to him?!" Mahina said, startled after looking at the baby Robert held. In the baby''s arm, a small rock was lodged deep inside, puncturing to his frail little bone "WAIT!! You can''t just-" Mahina called to Robert as he hurriedly pulled the rock out. Before she could stop him the rock was already lying on the ground "YOU-" Before Mahina could even address her frustrations his arm was already healing at an incredible rate. Before either of them could say anything the baby''s arm had already completely returned to normal. "I guess we really might need these" Robert said as he pulled out the two metal pieces that Berry had given them "So¡ what exactly do we do with em?" Robert said, looking at the two small metal balls. After handing one of them to Mahina a strong glow began to come from both babies. Mahina''s baby glowed a very sharp shade of frost blue, while Robert''s glowed a fierce mixture of red and dark brown. As the glow grew brighter and brighter, the metal objects began to float towards them. All at once the two balls and the babies'' glow disappeared. For a while, Robert and Mahina sat in complete silence, both waiting for the other to say something, anything. A baffled Robert finally managed to gather a single sentence together "....What in the hell was that?!" Before Mahina was able to reply she noticed the boys'' heart rates were quickly rising beyond any tolerable limit "Bos something''s wrong" "I feel it too. It''s his ki and I don''t know why but it just spiked as soon as those little metal things disappeared. We need to do something NOW." Robert said. His usually jovial persona was nowhere to be found, in its place was a sharp and focused beast thinking at a million miles per second to protect its young. "We need to head back now" "We don''t have time. We needa make somethin'' shake NOW!" "We don''t know who might be headed here right now. Doing anything here would only put them in danger" Robert thought for a moment and finally agreed with Mahina that they needed to quickly get away first. Just then the baby in Mahina''s arms let out a deafening wail of anguish. With no time to lose, they both took off towards the outskirts of the island, praying that they wouldn''t be too late... New Arrivals Part Two: Coming Home Bang! The door slammed open. Robert and Mahina burst in and set the babies on the counter. Hearts racing and heads spinning, they both take a deep breath and think. "It''s their ki. When those things went inside of them it suddenly turned chaotic" Mahina said. As if the situation wasn''t nerve-wracking enough, with both babies screaming murder there was no way for her to be calm. As she panicked Robert was calm and quiet "What do we do? Why aren''t you saying anything?!" At this point, she was one step away from losing her mind. Finally, Robert spoke up "We have to unseal our ki and seal their''s" Mahina stopped in her tracks. If they unsealed their ki centers it would mean that everything they had left behind would eventually find them again. Perhaps not today, perhaps years from now, but eventually everything would return "...are you sure?" Mahina knew that although she was fully willing to give up everything for the children, Robert had finally found peace after all these years. Would he really be okay with giving it all up? "There''s nothing I wouldn''t do for you hon. I was never able to see you smile as you played with our son but these two... That boy right there... Seeing you smile as you looked into his eyes¡ it was like the spark that had died inside you so long ago returned from the grave. So yes, I''m sure." Tears streamed down Mahina''s face as Robert held her close. These weren''t their children but they''d both do anything to protect them. "Plus I kinda took a liking to the big guy too" Robert said with a smile as they prepared to do something that couldn''t be taken back. Suddenly they both jammed their hands into their chests. Robert coughed blood, clenched his teeth, and crushed a ball of some sort inside his chest. Mahina coughed blood as well. As she reached into her chest, a similar ball inside began to rotate at a high speed before shattering and dispersing. For a moment everything stopped and an eerie silence fell over the house. In the next moment, a beacon of light shot from both of their bodies. A sharp white beam with a tinge of frost blue shot from Mahina, while an eerie blackish-red shot from Robert. The clouds were pushed aside as if even the heavens bowed to the light. As the lights cleared Robert and Mahina began the process of closing off the boys'' ki centers. As they moved their own ki to their eyes, they began to see the physical aura of the babies. Moving ki to their hands they began to shape the auras into small balls. Finally, after fully collecting it, they forced their own ki into the balls of aura, slowly solidifying them. Finally, they were safe. "What''s that?" Robert noticed that although they had sealed their ki and the small pieces of metal had sealed their other powers one of the babies still had electricity popping on his skin. While Robert and Mahina stood looking at one of the babies dumbfounded, the other one rolled on his side and got a splitter from the wooden table. Robert rushed over, pulled out the splinter, and watched in awe as the wound immediately closed on its own. Although the baby hadn''t cried when the splinter went in nor when it came out, he was screaming at the top of his lung after it healed. This novel''s true home is a different platform. Robert stopped as he turned around and saw his wife with a bottle of formula. Did she sprint to the store and back that fast? The baby instantly went silent as soon as he latched onto the bottle. "How did you know he was hungry?" Robert asked, bewildered. "A mother''s instincts I suppose" Mahina said with a smile "Woah hahaha! Be careful he''s still eating" Mahina shouted as Robert lifted her off her feet and kissed her. Finally, a happy family. Finally, Mahina could give all her love to a little one. Or was it too early to decide¡? "...where are their parents?" Despite how happy she was, Mahina knew it wasn''t right to keep someone else''s child. She was happy enough to have had the chance to feel like a parent even if it was short-lived. "When the kids were taken, the parents were silenced. They no longer have parents." Robert said. Although this meant they could keep the kids, this still made Mahina sad. They had been blessed with two baby boys but they''d never be able to watch them grow up. Seeing that She was still sad, Robert said "Well, maybe we should take them to an orphanage. I''m sure they''ll-" "NO!" Robert grinned as Mahina cut him off. As Mahina blushed, Robert put his arm around her shoulder. "Then cheer up. Tomorrow we''ll go make a grave for them and we''ll raise these two into men that would make their parents proud, okay?" Mahina smiled. "What should we name them?" "How about Gideon for the big one?" "You do know that''s not a black boy''s name right?" "Gideon can be his name and we''ll just call him Deon, how about that?" "I suppose that can work, and we can call static shock here Rai." "I kinda like that" "You''re kinda old to be a dad. Are you sure you can handle it?" "You''re kinda old to be alive but you seem to manage it." Mahina punched Robert in his stomach as he laughed "I''m just kidding hon. We''ll just be the best grandparents we can be. What''s the worst that could happen." Boom! Rai sent Deon through the wall in a ball of electricity. For a moment Deon lays there, breathing heavily. Suddenly he shot up out of the wall into the sky. As he slammed into the ground where Rai had just been an enormous crater formed. "Wayyyyy too slow buddy. You still ain''t shake the dust out ya a-" "Bro I wasn''t even ready yet. I literally just woke up" Deon said as he yawned and cracked his neck. It''s been 14 years since the fateful day that these two were picked up by their grandparents. Rai has just turned 15 while Deon is still 14. Deon has nearly grown as large as his grandfather with muscles to match. Meanwhile, Rai has grown to be a half a foot shorter than Deon with slim lean muscle covering his entire body. "Excuses excuses" Rai said as he launched another electrified kick towards Deon. This time Deon blocked and was slightly pushed back. Just as he was about to swing and hit Rai- "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!?!" Robert stood in the hole that Deon had just been sitting in a moment ago. Deon and Rai glanced at each other and immediately turned to run. As soon as they turned around Robert blasted forward and caught Deon by his collar while Mahina suddenly appeared right in front of Rai. "Why do they always run" "I don''t know. Maybe they hit their heads too hard back then. They don''t ever seem to learn." Mahina and Robert laughed "I really thought I had you this time Grandma. You are gettin really ol-" Before Rai could finish Mahina kicked him in his stomach and sent him flying into the trees. "I must be getting too old, I don''t think I heard you right." Mahina said right before she disappeared into the forest after Rai. She then reappeared with Rai in tow. "Does this mean it''s time for training?" Deon asked as he smiled excitedly. Robert shook his head yes and Rai and Deon took off towards the house. While they went to get ready Robert spoke to Mahina. "Did you feel it this morning? "Yeah. They''re getting closer and closer every day. I don''t know how long we can let those two stay here. This island will become a battlefield." Mahina said worriedly. The years of raising Deon and Rai had been both fun and peaceful, but soon the past was going to catch up to them and all of this would end. "I know but are they ready? Rai is just barely fifteen and Deon is still fourteen. If they leave now won''t they be killed?" Robert had turned into the worrywart now. As if their roles were reserved from all those years ago. "You know who you sound like?" "Who?" "ME" They both laughed. The tension and apprehension had begun to fade. Finally, Robert could think a little more clearly. "If we send them off they may die. If we don''t, They have no chance of survival. We just have to believe in them. Mahina said. "If we''re sending them off then we need to at least test them." Robert said as he sighed "Are you gonna give those to Deon?" Mahina asked "Of course. I gotta give him a pair of real ones." Robert smiled. "Today''s the day. Let''s see what they really got"
