[Conductor Persimmon B1, now referred to as ''PB1'' for the remainder of the experiment, is seen sitting uncomfortably on a chair behind a table. Subject Aly-N, currently placed directly in front of the table, will now be referred to as ''Subject.'' PB1 indicates for the initiation of live audio and visual recordings with proper hand signals to approved personnel behind ** inches of reinforced specialized glass 10 feet away from both PB1 and Subject.]
*PB1 coughs once before taking up a digitial pen to write down any new changes in the physical condition of Subject*
PB1: "Uh.. Okay. Experiment 19 on Series Aly, Identification N, will now commence with the usual protocol."
*Some static is heard through the microphone behind reinforced glass before a voice responds*
Personnel: "Approved. You may proceed. Detainment Authority B on standby."
*PB1 mutters something incoherently while tapping his pen on the Holo-pad*
Personnel: "We couldn''t catch that. Please repeat that a little louder."
*PB1 immediately looks up and glares at the one-way glass*
PB1: "It was nothing! Gosh, stop being such nit-picky assholes and let me do my job! Besides, there hasn''t been any changes in any of the aliens in the past ** decades, so all these protocols are absolute bullshit. What are- "
*Loud feedback from the microphone erupts in response and silences PB1*
Personnel: "Perform the experiment. Now."
*PB1 is seen visibly clenching his jaws while tightly gripping his pen before sighing*
PB1: "Yes. Conducting now."
*PB1 taps on more options on his Holo-pad before carefully approaching Subject*
*A cough is heard through the microphone*
Personnel: "Any day now. You said it yourself. These aliens haven''t done anything since we captured them ** decades ago. The higher-ups are getting a bit impatient so I would hurry up if I were you."Stolen content alert: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.
PB1: ".... Acknowledged."

PB1: "No observable changes can be seen. Subject is still in a hardened gelatinous-type of unknown material casing with approximate measurements of 5 feet high, 7 feet long, and 3 feet wide. Also, the casing is still that vile greenish-blackish-purplish nasty-ass color and- "
*An unusually loud cracking sound is heard from Subject as PB1 is seen retreating 7 feet away almost instantaneously. Both pen and pad have been thrown away towards the right of the table, hitting the ** feet thick steel walls surrounding the entire experimental cell. Camera zooms in simultaneously on the barely visible crack on the casing of Subject while the faint scrapings of chairs behind the glass could be heard*
*PB1 screams in panic while frantically banging on the cell door*
PB1: "Let me out! Let me out! Shit, fuck, shit, fuck - LET ME OUT DAMMIT!"
*PB1 is seemingly ignored as personnel continues to observe the new change in Subject. After 10 seconds, feedback with slightly more static is heard*
Personnel: "Persimmon B1. Restrain yourself. I repeat. Restrain. Yourself. Act in accordance with protocol or else necessary punishment will be enacted following your exit."
*PB1 is seen quickly calming down once realizing that nothing has changed after the crack on the casing of Subject. PB1 loudly sighs and closes his eyes only to rapidly open them again. He faces the camera before bowing as low as he can*
PB1: "I apologize Mr. President and staff and higher-ups. That was unbecoming of me and will not happen again. It would be duly appreciated if this incident was forgotten and- "
[Log cuts off. Log ends after 28 minutes and 32 seconds on **/**/****]
*PB1 shuts up once realizing that something is unusual. There is silence. An absolute silence where not even the feedback of the microphone could be heard. A fly that sneakily managed to enter the cell with the entrance of PB1 could be seen frozen in midair. PB1 pauses with cold sweat flooding down his back and forehead as he slowly looks around with increasing tension and horror. PB1 immediately notices the colors of the room fading with a steady pace but before he could fully comprehend all the colors draining to a familiar blackish-purplish hue, he screams once his eyes fall on Subject. However, no sound could be heard.*
*PB1 tries to mouth out some expletives to no avail before belatedly realizing his vision falling to the now blackened ground. Everything falls into darkness.*
*But before the mind of PB1 fully blacks out, he hears it. On the fringe of his conciousness, an ancient, unfathomably dreadful voice boomed, echoing in the mind of a vessel too insignificant to withstand.*
???: "W#heRe..@%&. aM I.... &$&%...?"
<--------------------------------><--------------------------------><-------------------------------->
*Multiple panicked voices could be heard through the microphone before an entirely different voice articulates slowly*
X1: "This is Authority Order-C Captain C1 speaking. PB1 has gone MIA. I repeat PB1 has gone MIA. Initiate protocol Def-SD immediately. I repeat. Initiate Defcon-ShutDown immediately. All personnel of Order-C are to proceed to their designated Room of Evacuation (ROE). Order-A and Order-B are to be on standby near cells of immediate importance until further notice. Nothing is to get in or out of the compound. Any life form approaching or leaving the facility is to be responded with Kill-Order Standard Firearms (KOSF).¡±
<--------------------------------><--------------------------------><-------------------------------->
*X1 shuts off the intercom connecting the President''s Office to Alpha Facility before sighing. Silence descends on the room with the exception of the barely audible buzz of the light fixtures hanging above.*
A minute later, the President calmly whispers, "Godspeed everyone, Godspeed."

Chapter 2 - Moonlight
<--------------------------------><--------------------------------><-------------------------------->
June 7th, 2139
Location: Albania
<--------------------------------><--------------------------------><-------------------------------->
A lone figure could be seen standing on an old, rotten pier under the gradually dimming moonlight as clouds sought to cover the moon''s brilliance with their eerie tendrils of gray, white, and the occasional black. The figure was seemingly cloaked in darkness, which was in part due to the equipped abyss-black combat suit and the utter lack of any incandescent light sources near the pier. Faint sounds behind the figure eventually gave way to a long sigh; after briefly glancing at the approaching footsteps, the figure returned to observing the night sky once again. The soft crunches on dead grass and dry dirt stopped a few feet away from the pier''s entrance.
"Jakol, it is time. We should get back," the voice of the footsteps gently murmured with a hint of commiseration and empathetic remorse. Jakol did not respond, staying silent while staring blankly at the now-darkened sky. Nikola turned her attention towards the tiny portion of the moon - of which the clouds occasionally allowed access as large swathes of stratocumulus swiftly drifted towards an unknown destination. Nikola unwittingly fell into a deep contemplation as she slowly recalled the madness of the world she now lived in.
Humanity, a few decades ago, finally broke through the bottleneck surrounding the application of cold-fusion. It was a cause of massive celebration around the world, but that was not the true reason behind the joy of nearly every human on Earth and what eventually came to be known as the start of the ''Golden Era 2.0''. Of course, the general public didn''t care after the secret behind cold-fusion was cracked and announced; people across the globe truly became elated only after the results of cold-fusion came about - which didn''t take long to manifest to the global public as one of the primary byproducts of cold-fusion was far beyond the expectations of any scientist, authority, AI, or computer-generated simulation. Nikola staunchly believed that not even the entire 11 billion people living on Earth could have predicted such an outcome.
The discovery and its application brought about an essentially unlimited, potent, renewable energy source that was within the scope of the expected projection of the company that unearthed cold-fusion. However, it did not take long for another secret to be exposed to the world. Governments and institutions of every major country uncovered that the energy released from cold-fusion not only exceeded the production of energy from any other source, but there was astonishingly no downside to using the energy obtained from such a process. No waste of any kind was produced, no smoke or harmful debris bellowed out of the ducts of cold-fusion power plants, zilch. There was absolutely no problem of employing a seemingly fabricated construct. It was as if the current world entered the realm of fiction where problems were actually being solved. With the introduction of cold-fusion, previous issues with energy and its means of retrieval was subsequently eviscerated. Vaporized. Gone. Just like the clouds that covered the night sky some time ago.
The stars and the moon were visible once again, showcasing their undeniable beauty in the form of light, brightness, and perhaps, distance. Nikola continued her musing as neither Jakol nor her moved since the initial confrontation.
Several decades ago, she was told that the Earth was not like... this. Clouds were not as swift as seen today. Specifically, in the past, if no one granted enough attention, they appeared to not even move. Nikola was utterly confident that clouds should not have had the speed of land automobiles running on 60 miles per hour, nor should they appear as intricate atmospheric creations running away torwards some destination in the horizon. She briefly quieted her thoughts before another thought overtook her mind. To where in the horizon do these clouds go? Nikola couldn''t even imagine. The clouds in their animal-like shapes and forms oftentimes seemed too realistic to not be sentient. Even she was fooled multitudinous times and constantly questioned whether they were or not. But repeated investigations by multiple militaries always confirmed that they, in fact, were just clouds. Harmless clouds. Harmless shapes of gases and water vapor clinging to each other for some inexplicable reason Nikola could not just understand. What was their purpose now? She paused. What was their purpose in the far distant past?
After a moment of incomprehensible thinking, Nikola pondered once again. Cold-fusion. How amazing it was and yet at the same time, how ominous and mysterious its... presence... was. With the advent of basically unlimited energy, the clockwork pieces that upheld the ticking of the world''s economy were replaced nearly instantaneously after it was confirmed that cold-fusion was safe for commerical and industrial use. As anyone could have imagined the effect of placing oil on the rusty hinges of a door - where the oil represented the newly discovered energy - everything in the world just... transformed to be more efficient and smooth. Nikola heavily simplified as the implication of the impact of cold-fusion was too much. Too much for any human, that is. At that time, prominent AI systems around the world announced that the world was experiencing its second Industrial Revolution. Just as steam changed the world in the first Revolution, unlimited energy without apparent consequence would most definitely evolve the world in the second.
However, to top even the concept of unlimited energy, nobody was prepared. In fact, how could have anyone expected more from such a boon as desirable as the infinite? Human greed could only get so far after all. After essentially every factory, machine, gadget, and toy were developed to utilize cold-fusion energy, or CFE, as the public quickly called it, humanity came too far to stop and rewind. It was too late to turn back the clock. At the time when the final ''byproduct'' of CFE was made into reality, the current state of the world was now irreversible because the last thing that came out of the production of CFE was another new type of energy that was previously undiscovered because through later investigations, it was discovered that this unknown energy was undetectable until certain conditions were fulfilled. Final deductions of the investigation concluded that this energy fully ''appeared'' when mass amounts of CFE was consumed and generated under the atmosphere. But unlike its CFE counterpart, which was simply a power source as much as the extinct hydroelectricity was, this unknown energy... made the impossible, possible. The public and even the scientific community agreed that this energy would best be remembered as mana due to its seemingly magical nature.Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
Nikola had no other words to describe what she remembered on that day when suddenly, across the globe, there were millions of reports of humans displaying supernatural feats that would otherwise have been present only in fiction. Super-speed, strength, flexibility... It was there... Present in normal humans the day before... It was supposed to be a catastrophe based on preliminary analysis after that day, but surprisingly, the government and other groups responded instantaneously. All dissidents were immediately locked away and ''peace'' was returned shortly. However, it didn''t last long. Conflicts between superhuman figures slowly escalated, and right before all hell broke loose, they came. In the year 2060, extraterrestrial life forms concealed in unbreakable, impenetrable, and practically invincible casings or shells bombarded areas with the highest biological life readings; in other words, they targeted cities.
Nikola remembered visiting those... sites that made unfortunate contact with the aliens. Nothing. She acutely remembered seeing nothing left. Razed to the ground. Not even the foundations of the smallest of buildings constructed in any of those targeted cities remained. Mumbai, the most populated city in India, disappeared from the face of the Earth. New York of the United States, Shanghai as well as Beijing from China, Tokyo of Japan, and 20 other cities were annihilated. It didn''t take long before every government in the world announced a universal alliance consisting of China, the U.S., Germany, Russia, and India at the spearhead of this unprecedented organization. All conflicts were abruptly terminated and once more, the world had changed. For better or for the worst, Nikola couldn''t decide.
Although most of humanity obtained power beyond their imaginations, there was no one who was willing to share their joy openly in public. 3 years. It took 3 years before society started to revitalize its energy, slowly shrugging off the lethargy and depression that came with the ''Invasion.'' The economy and industry started to boom once more, but no one, not even the most sarcastic and cynical of humans, could forget and laugh off the greatest disaster in human history. With an estimated death toll of approximately 4 billion people, nearly 40 percent of humanity was wiped out from the first contact with alien life. To make things even more confusing and depressing, the extraterrestrial entities within their shells did not react or do anything after their... entrance. It was reported that the entities were collected and carted off without any casualty or incident occurring which surprised the military leaders of the worldwide alliance as they had been expecting immediate physical conflict with alien life. Fictional stories failed them miserably as the entire world alliance army, navy, and air force gathered at the doorsteps of the each entity''s new home. But then again, Nikola couldn''t blame them for their caution and over-preparation. She, too, would have done the same.
The entities were captured 3 years after their appearance due to multiple governments collapsing due to panic and chaos; consequently, this further delayed the confrontation with the extraterrestrial life as many had believed that war with these foreign entities was inevitable, leading to the gathering of resources and the development of mass cooporation tactics. It was, of course, useless at the end.
It was due to luck that the aliens were immobile and silent even after years went by. No one knew what to make of the situation; at least humanity wasn''t wiped out during the initial turmoil, as Nikola surmised. 25 entities were retrieved from the giant holes that were once the foundations of the world''s most populated cities. However, another mystery was soon added to the already growing list of questions carefully crafted by the brains of the alliance. When the aliens first arrived, no satellite was able to detect them until all entities were less than 100 kilometers from Earth. But that wasn''t the most mysterious aspect of the ''Invasion.'' According to satellite data and infrared sensors, there were actually 26 entities hurling towards Earth, meaning 26 cities were assigned for complete devastation. But right before entry into Earth''s thermosphere, one entity suddenly and drastically changed course, aiming for an unpopulated area in Albania. Strangely, impact was minimal, leading scientists to conclude that the damage area upon impact for these entities was not dependent on incoming mass nor even speed - contrary to physics and the beliefs of the scientific community. Additionally, computer simulations suggested that Rome was the intended target, but for unknown reasons, trajectory was greatly deflected despite there being nothing to interfere with the entity''s path.
The only entity not retrieved from the grave of a city was designated as Series Aly, Identification N for no real reason besides the fact that all entities were labeled with a corresponding letter from the English alphabet. A highly-secretive, specialized facility was constructed on the site of Aly-N''s landing, and ever since its inception several decades ago, Nikola was assigned as the sub-director to manage the building as well as to report any changes in Aly-N observed by her subordinates.
Nikola finally shook herself out of her stupor and glanced at her holo-watch - a relatively recent innovation of the past 2 decades. Noticing that they should really return to base, Nikola was about to call out to her second-in-command, Jakol, when suddenly, the highest rated warning designated by the facility made itself known on her watch. With eyes widening in shock, Nikola glanced up from her wrist only to find Jakol making eye contact with her right before they simultaneously sprinted towards Alpha Facility, which was two miles away.
As they traveled with high-speeds, Nikola quickly identified another incoming message from headquarters on her watch.
<--------------------------------><--------------------------------><-------------------------------->
Headquarters: Commander C1 Nikola, a warning has been issued to Alpha Facility on your behalf as immediate circumstances require it. PB1 was declared MIA during Experiment 19 on Aly-N. Chapter 3 - Whispers
<--------------------------------><--------------------------------><-------------------------------->
DON¡¯T TRUST THEM!
Within an endless void, the echo of a voice screamed with abject terror before gradually fading away, swallowed by the passage of time and the omnipresent darkness. Silence reigned king once more.
A figure hovered in the midst of the void with arms and legs spread wide, chained by shackles blacker than the void itself. It stood quietly and inert even as the thorns on the chains repeatedly ravaged and flayed the entity¡¯s body, restarting the same procedure anew once complete regeneration took its course in a matter of seconds. Despite the devastating injuries unfailingly and punctually delivered by his constraints, the figure was entirely unfazed by the pain he previously believed to be agony in its purest form at a time immemorial.
In fact, deep down in the recesses of his mind, the entity instead became grateful for the eternal torture afflicted by his ¡®master.¡¯ Otherwise, he would have long since succumbed to the total, irreversible insanity that followed solitude and the immeasurable guilt accrued with committing abominable actions in his past.
Please¡ Stop¡
The memory of a woman pleading as tears and blood flowed down her lacerated cheeks and mouth flashed through the mind of the figure.
He didn¡¯t react. Not anymore at least.
Alongside the punishment of the chains, came the same recurring memories of people he most likely cherished eons ago. The figure could not recall their names or faces any longer. He forgot - specifically, he had chosen to forget who they once were. It would have been beyond sin to remember those who he had loved but ultimately slaughtered because of his selfish decision, he had conclusively decided after the First Chaining.
The entity briefly became aware of a concentrated pain tearing apart his right clavicle but quickly ignored it as he lazily sunk into the depths of the sea that was his thoughts, where no light could freely penetrate without his sanction. Feeling empty and embracing the mind-numbing coldness he had been inured to ever since the plight of the 81st Chaining, he once again yearned for the promise of death - a thought he remembered having even before the First Chaining, a time before despair and unceasing guilt embedded themselves into him before promptly shredding his heart and mind into nearly damnation. The figure could faintly recollect the tiniest of fragments of memories before he was chained and the first two Chainings, but nothing after that besides odd notification sounds from time to time during the phases between Chainings.
Of the scarce memories he had before the world transformed into literal Hell, one of them was the introduction of the greatest supernatural anomaly to occur in his planet¡¯s history: Metaoptical Rem Constructs, or ¡®blue screens¡¯ as the public came to speedily secure its moniker. On a random day of some unimportant month, these screens spontaneously sprouted in the visions of all humans. Despite there being an unprecedented number of car collisions, fires, and calls to local police worldwide at initial onset, it did not take long before people had begun to unravel the secrets and capabilities behind their newly contrived faculty.
Conflict was inevitable but nothing significant came about with the augmenting of the human body engendered by the blue screens. The figure barely called to mind the exact reason; although people were physically or mentally empowered or improved in some unknown way, no one could describe those changes as superhuman. A male athlete who normally had a vertical jump of 2 feet suddenly finding himself jumping 1.5 inches higher was barely within the realm of supernatural influence as scientists argued that it was unknown whether the athlete raising his vertical was a product of external factors such as physical training, diet, and effort rather than the result of the blue screens.
However, the figure remembered that everything was overturned when extraterrestrial entities invaded the planet without warning exactly 6 months later upon the appearance of the screens. It was evident that the screens could in fact grant any user superhuman qualities but no one had enough time to examine how such abilities were possible because by that point, humanity barely clung on to the ropes of survival, dangling over the precipice of extinction. It took less than 3 weeks for humanity to succumb to entities with technology and abilities far beyond expectations. All governments and countries collapsed within days of invasion, forcing every human to fend for themselves against foes too monstrous to contend or disobey. The screens barely helped as no one could grow strong enough to defeat even one of the weakest lieutenants of the commanders of the enemy force.
The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
The only reason the figure could recall so much in spite of the atrophy of time on memory was because within the last week of humanity¡¯s final stand, he was offered a ¡®gift¡¯ that he could never forget. A higher being, who proclaimed himself as the King, extended a proposition to him through some dream. The entity knew not why he was selected after all this time nor did he know if the King was related to the aliens, but what he recollected was seeing four other humans who also received the ¡®gift.¡¯ Outside of space and time, the five of them were promised power beyond imagination, announced by a voice laced with the incarnation of something unfathomably ancient but utterly powerful nonetheless. Four of them immediately refused, declaring with outright hostility that humanity will not associate themselves with terrorists. A teen male of Hispanic origin was the embodiment of pure rage as soon as his eyes lay witness to the extraterrestrial entity. He was the only one who attempted to rush at the being covered and hidden behind a veil of luminescence; however it was futile. Less than a second later, all four simultaneously vaporized, leaving the figure behind, alone with a being believing himself as ''the King''.
The entity reminisced about that fateful decision he made that day once again.
He should have never accepted.
But right as the figure felt the phantasmic pains of what once he identified as immense sorrow, he discovered something¡ on his eyelids. It was not the caressing of the chains as he felt no pain, but rather, the inklings of an essence intangible to physical touch but nonetheless conceivable by physical senses. Light.
¡®Impossible... ¡¯
A thought surfaced to the consciousness of the entity, just as his initially inert body shuddered and transformed. He knew what this meant despite being unchained for possibly centuries. The light thoroughly awoke all his dormant cognitive abilities before releasing all suppressed aural and physical faculties to the maximum. The figure abruptly froze with escalating confusion and consternation.
¡®My chains¡ they¡¯re loosening¡? Master would never allow light in this place if I¡¯m unchained. What''s going-¡¯
Quickly realizing that light still shone on his eyelids, the entity, for the first time in what felt like an eternity, opened his eyes, revealing white pupils with sclera as black as the chains now falling below him. His iris, dominated by intricate patterns of teal with traces of brilliant gold, noticed not the visible lack of darkness, but something that he had never thought to experience again in this lifetime.
The figure¡¯s stunned expression instantly contorted and morphed into that of utter abhorrence before returning to the expressionless mask he normally composed himself with as he submitted to his curiosity with a defeated sigh. He had long since abandoned anger; his curiosity, however, was on the verge of rebellion after failing to satisfy itself since the last chaining.
After reading the blue screen in front of him, he slightly trembled with mixed emotions.
"Where... am I..?"
He softly whispered, slightly uncomfortable and unused to a sound he had not heard in ages. His voice permeated in the void despite there being a vacuum.

Chapter 4 - Return
<--------------------------------><--------------------------------><-------------------------------->
The entity repeatedly perused the contents of the blue screen despite knowing that the information he lacked, and therefore desired, was not there, regardless of the number of times he engraved each word imprinted on the screen carefully in his mind.
¡®How¡? How is this possible? Infant... solar system? I¡¯m in another galaxy¡? But... How? No infant solar system ever existed in Fengold Galaxy¡ ?¡ and my name¡ My name isn¡¯t Alyn. It¡¯s¡ It¡¯s¡¡¯
Alyn opened his mouth, preparing to declare his name that he once remembered seeing on the floating ocular panel just before he was stripped of it countless years ago when the ¡®gift¡¯ was received. His eyes further widened and then slightly twitched, being unaccustomed to utilizing the most minimal of facial muscles after maintaining an expressionless face for so long. However, Alyn did not notice and nor did he care as a profound reverberation shook his soul, realization dawning on his face.
A blank. A space within his thoughts, once housing a particular memory. A permanent deletion of certain neurons and synapses. He just could not recall; his attempts in doing so bore fruitless conclusions before all efforts abruptly ceased. A few seconds later - or what he believed to be seconds as time held no meaning in the void - Alyn simply and calmly accepted it. He had no other choice.
He did not deserve the name dedicated to him by his deceased parents, not after what he did to them. No water or panacea could find it in themselves to approach his sins, let alone cleanse his towering spire of burden. He was sin, perhaps. The crimes that he perpetrated ever since the First Chaining, even if his body was possessed by his master ever since the deliverance of the ¡®gift,¡¯ was nonetheless enacted using the entirety of his body. His mind and spirit beheld the events leading to the cataclysmic extinctions of sentient species amounting to hundreds - and that was the number Alyn counted right before his soul barely dipped into the realms of insanity, both mind and spirit collapsing after a brutal dismemberment of a young child who reminded him of his sibling at that time. Whether his sibling was male or female, Alyn was unable to recall. An impenetrable haze engulfed the faces and bodies of all his family, relatives, and acquaintances within faint fragments of what could be identified as simple remembrances.
If his new name could help alleviate even a minuscule fraction of his family¡¯s anguish and hatred toward him in the afterlife, then so be it.
He would be Alyn. Nothing more, nothing less.
<--------------------------------><--------------------------------><-------------------------------->
Upon settling his mental state, Alyn noticed that the light permeating the void was gradually dimming, coming from a direction to his right. He had not bothered inspecting the origin of this light when it first appeared as he was preoccupied with the sudden discovery of the blue screen and its contents. Unfurling and stretching his ¡®wings,¡¯ Alyn subconsciously began capturing and storing the light rays infiltrating the void into the wing-like appendages located on his upper back. He did not remember what its name was as his master muttered it once upon creation, and also because of the staggering pain that accompanied the process being too overwhelming to make any thought sensible. After a moment of hesitation, Alyn decided that a preemptive strike despite not knowing the identity of the light source was far better than waiting patiently for the momentum of the unknown. Preparing his body for the final time, he erupted with instantaneous acceleration before promptly vanishing in the shadows of both light and void.
Traveling within wavelengths invisible to the naked eye, Alyn cautiously drew near the source. It was not only until he felt the opportune moment that he immediately changed trajectory upwards for some time before advancing forward once more in the same initial direction. Alyn recalled that one of the most wearisome lifeforms that he encountered in the past was a nearly incorporeal entity boasting a unique ability to land guaranteed strikes whenever Alyn was¡ predictable in terms of his attack patterns and movement. Neither he nor his master were not furious once throughout the duration of that particular confrontation as the entity stalled for weeks, successfully ensuring the retreat of his species to another undisclosed planet in exchange for his martyrdom. The sole reason Alyn reminisced such an event was because the blurry outline of the converging light source appeared eerily similar to the species of that incorporeal entity - one of the few sentient races he actually yearned to destroy because while his master only destroyed for reasons undivulged, these creatures raped and mutilated all encountered lifeforms before castrating and annihilating them subsequently. But even in their death, these lifeforms could never find relief.If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
The pupils as well as the irises of his eyes slowly transformed into the epitome of darkness - and hatred. Alyn later discovered during some Chaining that those entities murdered in their horrific manner not only for entertainment but to also extract souls through the medium of crushing despair. He did not unearth the exact purpose of these souls, but he had no longer cared after witnessing their states. Salvation was denied even in purgatory.
¡®If... my family... were to have that fate, I¡ I WOULD¡ ???... my family?¡ my family... I k¡?¡¯
He could not take it anymore. His guilt and sorrow in that instant of time quickly converted into a form he could resolutely handle. Rage.
Alyn¡¯s eyes completely metamorphosed into the void, utterly absorbing the surrounding wavelengths of light and transmitting a rapidly proliferating aura of darkness. In spite of his method of concealment instantly shattering and surfacing him to the visible spectrum, he paid no heed as only pure, unadulterated fury turned physical and announced itself with a primal roar. Beyond the concept of sound, it disseminated throughout the void of a once-silent vacuum.
As Alyn madly accelerated much faster than before, he failed to observe the lack of action by the silhouette of the light source.
The outlines of the two entities, one pulsing with darkness and dread, and the other, peaceful and radiant with light cyan and white colors, quickly found themselves in a sudden battlefield.
Then, there was an explosion of¡ nothing.
Alyn¡¯s eyes widened in surprise, white pupils and varicolored irises returning in full bloom just as the mist of darkness departed in front of clarity. There was no collision of any kind and nor was there the slightest wall of resistance. He took a double-take, his vigilance soaring to new extremes as he dove into invisibility instantly while rapidly analyzing what had just happened.
All his wavelengths refracted perfectly, not a single wave reflecting. Right before ¡®contact,¡¯ Alyn secretly sent gamma rays at tens of varying angles at the head of the brightly gleaming figure; yet, not a single incident angle, and hence reflecting angle, was created - leading to one realistic conclusion. Additionally, his sense of impending danger never arrived, which only bolstered his deduction. Souls.
That dazzling light in the midst of complete blackness was an entirely incorporeal being born from the premature death of a sentient creature just recently. The brighter the soul, the younger its passing was, Alyn reminded himself before floating gently in front of the soul¡¯s faint silhouette. He simply stared with incredulity, now understanding that another being was inside his prison who was not his master for once.
¡®Strange¡ how did-¡¯
He couldn¡¯t finish articulating his thought before a blue notification spawned in front of his face roughly a meter away. Curiously, he glanced at the soul before returning his full attention towards the panel. However, he remained invisible, a product of habit and the combat ravings of his master over several Chainings. Alyn would never forget the lessons initiated by the King despite his chasmic resentment towards the being who took everything from him. He was reminded that oftentimes, it was the enemy who provided the opportunity and tools necessary for that prime moment of execution.

Alyn paused momentarily before ultimately deciding. He lacked data and all information about his current situation, subsequently ensuring that any opportunity in the acquisition of such intelligence was of the highest priority. Investigating the location and condition of his master as well as comprehending how he landed in another galaxy were of the lowest of priorities.
His whereabouts unknown, situation unpredictable, and mind emotionally unstable; but, he will survive. He must. For his family. For his planet.
