《Lord Eelo a Superhero Novel》


 Chapter 1

    The tiger was chasing after me and I only had my rifle. I saw a vine strong enough to hold me and I climbed up. The tiger couldn¡¯t see me for some reason so I was able to get a shot off. My shot missed and the tiger knew where I was now. Good thing I was close to my home, I got on the trees and sprinted away and lost the tiger.


    When I got home I decided to hole up in case any other life heard the shot. While I was waiting I wondered why I was able to hide from the tiger like I did. I thought it was one of the superpowers that my parents talked about but I didn¡¯t think that I wouldn¡¯t have noticed before this. My parents always told me if I saw another person and they had super powers to be wary of them. I don¡¯t know why they said that but I trust them.


    I then ate dinner when I saw there was no life outside and went to bed.

    I woke up the next morning and heard some rustling and I went quiet hoping it was harmless. The rustling stopped and I heard the wood creaking, I looked up to see a person sneaking in to my room. I let out a yelp of surprise and the person turned to me and rushed over to hold me down. I screamed "what are you doing!" and no response came only the clink of handcuffs and pain from wrists. I yelled again ¡®what are you doing!¡¯ but this time I heard a response and in a deep voice he responded "It¡¯s for your own good¡­ Esco". I didn¡¯t know this guy but he knew me somehow.


    I knew I had to get out somehow so I pushed with all my strength against the metal bonds holding me. Somehow it worked and I whipped my hand around to punch him in the face. I underestimated my newfound strength and his head snapped back. I timedly said ¡®sorry?¡¯. He shot back up but I was able to hold him down pretty easily.


    I asked "What Are You Doing Here!" in the most intimidating way possible. He responded nervously by saying ¡®"our parents were supers and we were able to find out that they had you and you super power would put the whole city of Gradseris to instability. So we searched for you but your parents hid you here."


    I then remembered my parents told me 3 months ago that they were going to be gone for a long time and if anyone found me to run in the direction our door faces as fast as possible to the city of Gradser.


    I then realized this is what they were warning me about. I did my best to knock him unconscious and I ran as fast as could to Gradser.

 Chapter 2

    I arrived at the outskirts to the city and the first thing I noticed were building touching the sky. The buildings were made of metal and huge. My parents had told me these were called skyscrapers and now I could see why.


    The city only had a few and they were all near the center with other gleaming buildings.


    Near the outskirts where I was the building were rundown and made of wood. Everybody¡¯s clothes had faded colors.


    As I walked through the gates a few guards were there but they let me through.


    I had explored a few blocks and suddenly I heard some footsteps coming toward me and I turned around to see a guy coming out of an alley. He was looking around suspiciously and I realized that he might be trying to mug me.


    I said ¡°Hey, you okay?¡± He then swore under his breath and sprinted straight towards me.


    He said ¡°I¡¯m sorry, but I gotta do this.¡± in a very sorrow tone. Then he tried to tackle me. I dove out of the way.


    I punched him right in the jaw and it made a loud popping noise and blood sprayed out of his mouth.


    I said ¡°sorry¡± very timedly but he was unconscious.


    I began to drag him into the alley he came out of and started to wait for him to wake up. He stirred about twenty stints later and started yelling unintelligibly I covered his mouth but that just made him louder.Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road.     I said ¡°Shut Up¡± in the same tone I used on the guy in the forest and he just stopped.


    I then asked ¡°what are you doing here¡± and he just muttered and pointed at his jaw. I realized I dislocated his jaw I did my best to set in place and asked the same question.


    He responded with ¡°dude, that hurt¡± and stayed silent until I stared at him in the most intimidating way possible and he responded albeit nervously ¡°I¡¯m really here because I need to join a gang.¡±


    I asked ¡°why did you try and mug me?¡± and he explained everything and gave me his sob story which was basically that he needed money for his little sisters meds and since he had almost know education the only way to make money was to join a gang.


    He said to join the gang he wanted you needed to bring back 40 studs or steal something with that much.


    He said that because of my nice clothes he thought I would have quite a lot of money so he decided that he would try and rob me, but what he didn¡¯t know was that I was a super.


    I asked him to take me back to his house. He did so but always looking over his back.

    When we got to his home which ended up being rundown apartment in a small building, I saw his sister and realized he really did need the money for her.


    She looked like she was starving and her eyes had large bags under them. Though she did have a look of happiness in her eyes that I just couldn¡¯t put my finger on.


    She said ¡°Hey Praely, where I have you been?¡± and he told her the truth everything that had happened and it shocked me. I now knew he could be trusted because even with her condition he knew he had to tell her the truth.


    She looked disappointed after hearing the story, but also understanding. I worked up the nerve to ask them why she was this way.


    And what I heard was shocking to say the least. Apparently she was a super with a power to stop time but it had a price and that was some of her life force. The amount she paid with depended on how long she used it for.


    She had used it for an extremely long time for reasons unknown to anyone but her and she wasn¡¯t willing to tell anybody. Shortly after it had happened Praely was lucky enough to have a guy approach him offering a decently high paying position within a gang and he immediately accepted the task he needed to join.


    The gang was apparently of high standing within the underworld. I asked him to take me to the gangs headquarters so I could apply to the gang. I had a slight feeling that I knew where I could get the things needed to join.

 Chapter 3

    We got to the gang not to long after leaving. It turns out the guy had found Praely because of his close vicinity to the headquarters.


    The headquarters looked like Praely and his sister apartment, but inside it was quite a bit nicer albeit still more rundown than my home.


    When we got to the lobby we asked how to join and they told us to bring 40 studs or steal something worth that much and then come back. I had a plan for that so I told Praely as soon as we left.


    When we got back to his house I told his sister I¡¯d be gone for a few hours and let Praely explain the rest while I sprinted out of the door.

    I was about a xime away from the house when I saw people moving around near my house. They looked like sentries and I think they¡¯re seeing if I¡¯ll come back.


    I slowly sneak through them and surprisingly none of them notice me.


    I get to the door and realize it would be better if I sneak in the window.


    When I get in the house without a sound I see a person near a safe my parents kept. I sneak up until I am right behind him. I hen jump and cover his mouth so he can¡¯t alarm anyone, I also knock him unconscious.


    I slowly pull the safe door off its hinges and it makes a loud squeaking sound and I freeze up.This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it


    I hear a bunch of people running in the house and I quickly grab the safe and sprint out of the house.


    A guy yells ¡°Get Him!¡± and everybody runs out of the house and starts chasing me. I quickly lose them even though they seem much faster than a normal human.

    I arrive at Praely¡¯s apartment shortly after leaving the forest and showed them he safe and what was inside.


    They were very surprised and told me about 200 quilks were in there and quilks were equal to 1,000 studs.


    Praely told me I would need to get the some of the quilks turned into studs to be able to pay the gang without getting robbed. I told him I had a better idea and that we should go back to the headquarters. He agreed although a bit skeptical.


    While we were heading there I told him that we should ask to be taken directly to the leader of the gang. He said that we would never be able to go to her.


    Apparently the leader had tier 3 strength and tier 2 vision on her list of superpowers. Which was quite high as the rankings went from tier 1 at the lowest which was actually common for people to have even if it was useless like being able to taste slightly better.


    Tier 2 was almost twice as effective and just about that much more rare. Tier 3 dwarfed 1 and it was almost 4 times better than tier 2. Tier 4 was 8 times better than tier 1 and twice as good as 3. The highest anyone has ever gotten was tier 8 and it was in divining the future.


    I told him not to worry when we got there and that it would be fine. He was not convinced so I told him to wait in the lobby and I would sort it out.


    When I told the receptionist that I had something very expensive that I had robbed and wanted to show it to the head of the gang.


    He said ¡°No, you will need to join the gang to see her.


    I then took out the safe and opened it ¡°Now can i see her¡± I said in a rather condescending tone. He said in a very surprised but excited voice ¡°Yes sir, right away¡±.


    He told me the directions to the leaders office and I walked calmly until I was out of sight and I sprinted right to the office.


    I knocked on the door and waited.


    She said ¡°Come in¡± after about a stint.


    I said ¡°Thank you, I have something I think you might want¡±


    She asked without emotion ¡°What is it¡±


    I showed her my fist and tried to knock her out. She didn¡¯t go down, but she did seem dazed i went in throwing more punches and she fell down after quite a lot of puckes and kicks.


    I tied her up and waited for her to wake up.

 Chapter 4

    It took the leader only 5 stints to wake up which makes me suspect she has a power she does not speak about especially because she was able to take a lot of my punches.


    As she woke up she easily broke my feeble ropes. I guess I should make better restraints next time.


    She started charging towards me and I sidestepped easily with my speed. She yelled in frustration and kept trying to hit me but i just used my speed and it was very easy.


    She eventually, after what felt like many riners, stopped fighting and started talking.


    She asked ¡°Why are you here and how are you so powerful?¡±


    ¡°I am here to take over your gang¡± I answered plainly.


    ¡°And to you second question I do not know the answer of why, I just am¡± I said calmly.


    She started screaming in rage and yelled ¡°Nobody will take my gang from me!¡± and I replied with ¡°Well I¡¯m about to.¡± and waited while she went on a rampage again this time against my soon to be office.


    I said ¡°We can work out a deal, but you have to meet to conditions, I get the gang and you show me how to rank my powers. Deal?¡± I held out my hand and waited until she could calm down and said ¡°Well?¡±


    She just said in a surprisingly calm voice rid of anger ¡±I will accept your demands on the condition that I am allowed to remain in the gang. I thought for a second and realized that the only bad thing to come from it would be if she gathered all the members to attack me, but I think I could easily defeat everybody.

    The following days were filled with me learning more about the gang and getting used to my duties.


    My duties consisted of administering important task and setting up important tasks. I also for very important missions or making peace with other gangs would come along.


    After learning everything I needed to do I then asked the leader who I now know as Orthou how I find out what tier my powers are at. She told me to go to the super academy. I asked where it was and it turns out it is in the forest about 3 ximes away from the city walls because of how much space it takes up.


    I quickly sprint over there and realized I had never told anybody my name and now would be a good time to come up with one. I decided on Fesni but keeping my last name as Rexvilum to make life easier.


    As I arrived at the gates of the academy the sight overwhelmed me the gates were huge and the building were all about half the size of a skyscraper but they were much larger and in terms of width and length. They even had an arenas for duels and tournaments.


    As I stared in complete astonishment the guard chuckled and said ¡°Amazing, right¡±


    I replied with ¡°Yeah, it''s a wonder how they built that¡±


    He said ¡°Your good to go through¡±


    I passed through and the gate and I realized I forgot to ask the guard where the power testings were. More exploring for me I guess.


    After walking around a bit I heard a loud ringing sound and shortly after a bunch of students that looked a few years older than me.


    I asked the first person I saw where I could go to test my powers. He told me a building that had a bell on top and was near the center of the academy.


    I arrived shortly after and went inside. I asked where the power testings were and they told me to wait in the lobby.


    The lobby didn¡¯t have too many people, but it had a lot more than I expected. I waited for what felt like forever.


    When he receptionist called my name I walked up to the desk and she told me to go to room M7.


    After I got there a guy greeted me as I got inside and asked me what my full name was I replied with Fesni Rexvilum of course. He then told me he was going to look at my powers with one of his powers and that he would not be able to sense any tier over 8.


    After a few stints he came back exhausted and told me in a very excited tone that I had tier 6 speed, tier 4 strength, tier 3 invisibility, and tier 2 intimidation. He finally said there was one power he could not detect and i would have to find it on my own.


    I asked what intimidation was and he said it was a useful talent at higher tiers, but right now I wouldn¡¯t be able to do too much unless I really focused and the target was already slightly dazed.


    He then very excitedly mentioned even with my young age I may be able to join the academy now if I could prove my intelligence.


    I knew I had to get in here to learn more about my powers and control them better. If I could I might be able to become the most powerful person in Gradser.


    I replied with a simple ¡°Yes, I will prove my intelligence¡±

 Chapter 5

    I asked the guy what I would have to do to get in. It turns out I have to take a test, but it would be different than a normal entrance exam.


    I would have to prove I could use my powers well and take the normal test.


    He says to come back in 2 days for the entrance exams

    When I got back I to the gang headquarters I heard news that another gang was challenging my rule. I asked what they were doing and apparently I been challenged to a duel by their leader. He keeps his powers a secret so no research will help me.


    I go to their headquarters which is nicer than ours and ask the guy in the lobby where i go for dueling.Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.


    He seems to get the point and trembles slightly before pointing up stairs and giving me directions.


    I arrived at the office and said ¡°Lord Eelo here¡± and he replied with ¡°Who are you?¡±


    I said ¡°The person you wanted to duel¡± I replied calmly. Some rustling came from inside and i heard the scraping of wood on wood and he opened the door ¡° He had a suspicious smile and punched me right in the face.


    I try to dodge, but he is almost as fast as me, so he hits but the punch does almost no damage. I say ¡°Wow you¡¯re fast¡± and calmly grabs his wrist and pull. I hear a pop and realize I dislocated his arm.


    He almost screams for help, but remembers we¡¯re dueling. I rip his arm off and blood comes spraying out. He¡¯s screaming like a man possesed and I quickly try and find something to use as a bandage.


    I rip off part of my shirt and tie it around the wound. I then try and heal it because I have a pretty good Idea of what my ¡°hidden¡± power is.


    I concentrate and try to tell my subcomnsious that I will die if he is not healed.


    It does not work.


    The shirt doesn¡¯t work, but I can¡¯t stop the blood. In my rush to stop him from bleeding out I forgot to call for help.


    He eventually bleeds out and I collapse in a pile of grief.


    My heart can¡¯t handle the fact I have killed, KILLED!


    I just lie alone and cry.
