《The Reclusive god and the Demon Bride》 Ch. 1: Office grind A flurry of activity was going on inside the corporate office of Haemin group, dressed in corporate wear, both men and women rushed to enter the elevator that would take them to their respective floors. The guards by the front desk, watched the scurry of movement towards the elevator, with a smile that was barely suppressed. "Wait! Don''t close the door." The people inside watched with growing discomfort as the one who gave the command was none other than the section manager of the marketing department, a woman in her thirties. She was dressed in a yellow and red colored mid-length dress with a red overcoat draped across her shoulder. On getting in, the elevator slowly slid shut with the people inside being sandwiched together. Little by little they all began to slide pass the enclosure to their respective floors. "Kim Chae-ri nim is here!" One of the office workers shouted to his fellow workers to alert them that their section leader was around. Walking into the office was a woman with honey brown ponytail, dressed in red-yellow colored gown with a red overcoat across her shoulder and a grey bag strapped across her chest. "Where is the contract worker?" Everyone in the office knew what usually followed the next statement. "Team leader Kim, she hasn''t arrived yet." said one of the office workers. "Jung Eun-mi, what are you standing there for? Get me my coffee. I want it hot, with three scoops of milk and x-scoops of sugar. If it is too sweet, I will send you back to get me another cup." The marketing team leader known for being nicknamed "Kim psycho" due to how temperamental she could be, if things weren''t done her way.Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. "What are you all still doing, get back to work!" On hearing this the remaining five workers scurried to begin their routine office task, none wanted to unleash the anger of their section manager. Meanwhile, in the break room Jung Eun-mi, a newly hired permanent staff was going through the motion of preparing her section manager''s coffee. After filling the black coffee maker with water and placing the ground coffee into the white filter, she watched the coffee brew in the electric coffee maker. Pouring the steaming hot brown liquid into a glass mug, she went on to add 3 scoops of pre-made milk from the plastic wrapping and 4 scoops of sugar, slowly mixing it before placing it on a green tray by the counter top to serve her team leader. Inside an air conditioned room, seated behind a dark colored office desk and chair was the marketing manager who was flipping through with various documents on her desk, a dark desktop was in front of her, which from time to time she will go in to type or check for anything of importance. After awhile a soft knock could be heard, "Come in." Slowly the door opened and a woman in her twenties walked in, dressed in corporate black skirt suit with her dark hair held in a bun, her name tag held by an orange strap was resting on her chest. With some difficulty she began making her way to where her section manager sat while trying not to trip from the dark heels she had on with both hands holding the tray. After a brief curtsy, the young woman spoke to her superior. "Section manager Kim, your coffee is ready." With trembling hands, she balanced the tray on her left hand while using her right hand to set the red mug that had the coffee. Kim Chae-ri picked the coffee mug and placed it on her pink thin lips, after a few sips she slammed the hot mug of coffee on the desk. "It is not sweet enough, get me another cup." "But...section manager Kim. I only added 4 scoops of sugar." The young woman sounded distressed by the action of her superior. "I didn''t ask you that, did I? Go make me another cup before I change my mind about your monthly evaluation which is coming up very soon." Having said this, the woman hurriedly placed the mug with the leftover coffee on the tray she had on hand, while wiping the spill on the desk from her superior''s previous outburst. Finally she bowed to her section manager who at the moment had her eyes glued to the documents on her desk, without paying any attention to her subordinate. Sound of the door shutting, signified that her junior worker had gone about to do what was asked. Ch. 2: CEO arrives Outside a tall stately building made from clear cut glass, had the words "HAEMIN" in red displayed at mid-point from top front of the building. A set of black luxurious black cars pulled outside this majestic building. The driver of the car that first pulled up, got out to open the back door for the man seated at the back, this was the CEO of Haemin group a man in his late forties and is said to be one of the most eligible bachelors in all of Seoul. "Min-jae Tepunim, we are now at Haemin group." The driver a man in his late-fifties dressed in corporate black pants, white shirt with a black tie on his neck, he had on his feet black socks and shinning pointed black shoes, lines on his face showed signs of aging, dark hair that was once glossy now appeared to be more of grey. His right wrist had an high end dark-silver watch which at the moment indicated that it was 9:30 in the morning. "Woo-jin, bring me up to speed on my agenda for the day when I get to my office." The CEO said this after he was completely out of the car, he began walking towards the entrance of the building, as his driver hastily shut the door and secured the car with the electronic key pad. The men that stood in front of the building each dressed in corporate black with dark polished shoes all bowed in greet when they saw their company''s CEO, they remained that way until his silhouette could no longer be seen from the corner of their eyes. Inside the lobby of the Haemin group, office workers each dressed in various corporate attire hurriedly moved about, in an instance everyone came to a deadly stop when they saw the approaching figure of their company''s CEO. Not sparing anyone a glance, the tall trim figure dressed in inner black long sleeve turtle neck with a black shirt on top and a dark overcoat draped across his shoulder, he wore black stylish cut pants, with dark custom made shoes that reached both ankles of his feet. He had on his left wrist a custom made glistering silver cut bracelet and ash-grey colored stylish watch. His neatly cut and styled dark glossy hair gave him more of a youthful appearance, but it was the icy dark eyes that made his handsome face appear unapproachable. The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. Four men dressed in corporate black walked behind him, as he briskly walked towards the elevator while the rest of the people continued to bow, until they saw he and his entourage had made it into the elevator and its doors firmly shut. "Wow! Min-jae Tepunim is still as good looking as ever, it is a shame I was not born as a chaebol, oh well.....people like me can only dream." The person that spoke was one of the female office workers in the HR department, although she was an attractive woman in her mid-twenties, Park Ye-ji was of average height. She had dark eyes and subtle makeup on her face with wavy shoulder length glossy burgundy hair, on each earlobes was a gold plated pearl tassel earring. Lifting her right hand which showed a well manicured nail of nude tone adorned by three gold plated ball ring sets to flip her hair, before raising the cup on her left hand to her red colored lips. "Hmmm...you talk as though you don''t know the type of person he is. There is no one that doesn''t know he is a frequent caller at K3B or are you that thick skinned that you will willingly share him with those other blood suckers who pretend to be of high quality like us?!" Outwardly Park Ye-ji appeared not to be flustered by the righteous anger shown by the woman who was of similar age standing by her side, although she had known Oh Sun-a when she first came to the company almost two years ago, she subtly adjusted the expression on her face not to show her resentment for being spoken to in such a manner. Instead, she chose to laugh by saying, "Of course I know that Min-jae Tepunim is out of my reach, you weren''t thinking I was seriously considering him? Were you?" "I thought as much, let''s put all this nonsense talk aside. You know it''s around this time that our department will begin the recruitment process in preparation for the new hires." Oh Sun-a was a slightly chubby woman of average height with dark glossy chin length hair, each earlobe had a plain sterling silver threader earring, one would call her looks above average, she was dressed in corporate navy blue gown and accompanying overcoat, her name tag rested in front of her chest hanging from an orange strap, a tiny gold pendant rested on her chest. The only makeup she had on was her powdered face and pale pink lipstick on her lips. "Something to look forward to..." came the bored response from Ye-ji, to which her colleague laughed at. On seeing that most of the people on the floor had dispersed, Sun-a nudged her friend for them to return back to the office.
