《Snow (Completed)》 There was no One else with me. Was it that easy? To die that is? Hah... well... it doesn¡¯t really matter anyhow. ~/¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯/~ I am currently having a ride with my lovely car towards my parents house for christmas eve, it would have been a pleasant experience if weren¡¯t for the dang weather which is making it hard for me to drive. To be honest, I really hate it when it¡¯s cold or snowing. Always white, silent, and not to mention the damn sickness. Even the road is hard to move by, all because of this weather. Hearing that my favorite Chopin music started losing connection... My hands couldn¡¯t help but start bashing the radio. After a little trial, it finally went back to normal. When I looked through my car¡¯s window, I noticed that there was no more sign of street lights. It didn¡¯t freak me out one bit, as I knew that I¡¯m close. It has been seven years... since we seen each other. Time sure goes by fast. Sometimes I wonder what I¡¯m doing. Should I just go in the house and greet them with a happy smile? Or make them see how sad I am? I wonder how much my sister has grown. Dad, must still be trying his best with making that old T.V work. As for Mom, I... really miss her cooking. That tender loving taste and bountiful aroma filled with exquisite spice. Sigh* I wonder if I should just turn back now. I¡¯m doing something wrong aren¡¯t I? It was my fault for leaving... but I still want to greet, hug and laugh together. Though that fear... still lingers in me. The fear of them not knowing who I am. The fear of them feeling disgust from a glance atmy pitiful state. I didn¡¯t get admission to any famous college nor any to the matter of fact. What reason do I have to barge in their peaceful house and enjoy a happy christmas night? None, none at all. Before I knew it, my eyes where already feeling warm. Ah, I still cry even though I¡¯m already at my 20¡®s. Well it¡¯s only natural. As I wipe my eyes with my hand, it happened. The steering wheel felt loose and I couldn¡¯t move my car the way I wanted it to do. There was a cliff in front of me, and I knew at that point that... I was dead. I tried my hardest to steer while pushing on the break... but it didn¡¯t work. Before I crashed and died, the last thing I recalled thinking was a distant memory. ¡°Mom, Mom! Your cooking was the best!¡± I said energetically. ¡°Oh deary, you can have as much as you like!¡± My mom replied back. ¡°Honey, if you feed the boy too much he¡¯ll grow fat...¡± My dad said with a happy expression. ¡°Don¡¯t wowwy Dad, hish a boy, he¡¯ll grow stwong!¡± Said my sister as she tugs my dad¡¯s sleeve. It was a really good memory. Really... good... memory... ~/¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯/~ My eyes opened slightly to find my head hurting like hell. I checked my body to find blood on my chest. It pains. As for my eyes... they felt tired and sleepy. I¡¯m afraid if I close it this time, it¡¯ll be the end of me. I wonder... if hell could be that bad? It¡¯s hot, and warm... too warm I mean. Unless for some reason it is cold... then yeah, I¡¯m screwed. Ah, what am I thinking. Just die, I deserved it. I closed my eyes. ~/¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®/~ Hmm... What? I¡¯m not dead? Why am I seeing light?A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. Is it like those famous scenes with Morgan Freeman? My eyes opened once again, but unlike last time... instead of dying inside my broken car, I¡¯m now standing. I thought it was heaven but I notice that what I¡¯m staring at was nothing but the street lights. Without any hesitation, I observed my surroundings to find that I¡¯m in an amusement park. What? No no, that ain¡¯t right. Why am I here? I¡¯m pretty sure that I died. My seems normal and there''s no sign of te blood from what I recalled... how? I surveyed around further to find that there wasnothing. Like literally nothing except for the large amusement part and well paved road. Every where else was covered in white, except for the sky which stayed cloudy and moody. The weirdest part is that the clouds didn¡¯t show any sign of moving... Strange. As anyone would do, I looked around the place. I didn¡¯t find anyone for a long time even though there has been clear signs of someone staying here. Like for example, drench female clothes was being laid on a bench for them to become dry. Signs of drawings on walls were also seen, which were quite beautiful. After a long haul of searching, I finally found someone. Not just any ordinary person, but instead a beautiful lady. Maybe the prettiest, I have ever seen. Having a straight silver hair that stretches to her shoulders. Eyes of pure black, with no emotion behind any of them. A body that is elegant but not abundant. She¡¯s wearing a plain white colored dress, paired up with a pleasant light toned sweater. That lady was sitting upon the top staircase while staring at the sky above. It gave me a really pleasant view of her neckline...which I don¡¯t know why I mention about it. Since I have nothing better, or any that is, to do. I decided to muster my courage and throw away my shyness and speak with her. Plus the creepiness of this place, is giving me the willies. Noticing my presence, it made the lady reveala shocked expression. No one could notice it, if they didn¡¯t focus on her eyebrows slightly raising. She then coughs before asking with a soft voice. ¡°Wait, another person aside from me could be sent to this place too? How?¡± Her single question made me feel already sad. Depressed actually. It showed lots of signs of loneliness, happiness and the voice... well how I¡¯m going to explain this... Like someone that did not speak for years. Aside from that, I didn¡¯t have any way of responding to her question so instead I asked. ¡°Ugh.. Where am I?¡± My question caused her to tilt her head slightly to the right before she answers back by saying. ¡°I too wondered that. Until I remembered that this was the place where my parents would bring me when I was a child.¡± Her words struckme like a hammer for some reason. I didn¡¯t think about it too much... but now I noticed something off. Like what she said, this place is truly somewhere I have visited when I was young. I couldn¡¯t help but notice that my heart started aching with pain. But it¡¯s not the time for me to drift mindlessly with thoughts. As I find that it was not only me in pain but also the lady in front of me. Without any holding back, I asked even though it hurts. ¡°But... I thought that I just died?¡± For the first time since I met her, I found that she can make an expression. A surprised one that is. But it didn¡¯t last that long before it reverts back to her regular poker face. The lady then chuckles a bit, which was filled with sadness, before replying back. ¡°What are you talking about? Ha ha... we¡¯re not dead! Can¡¯t you see! Then look at us breathing and alive!¡± The tone was completely filled with denial. She looked really pitiful, just like a lost puppy waiting for its owner to come back. It felt really bad to watch someone at this state so I broke out the truth to her. ¡°Lady, if I¡¯m dead then I¡¯m afraid that you¡¯re too.¡± She slowly shakes her head before laughing madly before saying out loud. ¡°I already died?! What about...¡± Her voice then became low as she continues. ¡°all the things that I wanted... to do.¡± Tears were seen falling down from her eyes. After a short moment, she rubs away the tears before gnashing her teeth. It was not right for a man to watch a lady cry without doing anything, so I decided to approach before patting her head. Though she pushed away my hand but I still managed to say. ¡°Well, it¡¯s not that bad.¡± Hearing my words caused her to be ticked off completely as she replies back. ¡°Are you mental?! How is dying considered not bad?! I was going to experience being a college student and having friends for crying out loud!¡± She then points at me before continuing. ¡°Now tell me, why did you said that?¡± My mind already thought up for a reply and so I said. ¡°That¡¯s bad and all... but at least now you¡¯re not alone anymore right?¡± She surveyed me from toes to head before replying back. ¡°With you? Should I be considered lucky or unfortunate to be stuck with a moron?¡± Her words wereas sharp as a knife, truly. Ignoring the lady¡¯s presence, I sat down beside the goddess in human form, and I didn¡¯t mind seeing her scoot away in hurry. I just thought that she was shy, and so I hinted a smile towards her before saying. ¡°At least you had ambitions, unlike me who couldn¡¯t keep up with everyone¡¯s expectation before running far away.¡± I didn¡¯t know how I looked but judging from from her expression, it must really be pitiful just like her state was. For some reason I found it cute that she started moving closer to me as she asks. ¡°Then what happened?¡± Also sad at the same time as I don¡¯t know how much months she stayed in this place without having someone else to talk with. I then continued, as I can¡¯t let any lady wait, by saying. ¡°Well it went down hill from there, I moved to the main city and lived by myself with the money I stole from my dad. Don¡¯t think I didn¡¯t do anything while I was there as I tried out for an entrance exam to a Uni I dreamed of. Money wasn''t also enough and so I had to take labour like part time jobs. Though it unfortunately failed horribly and I knew the reason... I wasn¡¯t trying hard enough or maybe I¡¯m just stupid.¡± I averted my eyes from her appearance before surveying the sky above. The breezing wind was... good, it gave me motivation to continue so I said. ¡°After trying again and again, but still failed. I gave up. There was nothing to do, and time flew by fast. I was going to meet my parents for advice... but... now I¡¯m here before I could.¡± Thinking about it, this was the first time I shared my thoughts... I wonder why. Maybe because all my friends were... how can I say this, too good for me? ''You can lose your job, you can lose your dignity, you may be a beggar but never forget to stay true to the ones you care.'' There was nothing left but silence between us as I notice the complicated expression on her face. She tried to speak multiple times, but no word could be uttered. After lots of attempts, she finally said. ¡°I... for one feel remorse and familiarity, as mine was almost similar but not at all. Unlike you, my parents died when I was seven and I had no one to take care of me.¡± Her eyes started tearing up, before she continues. ¡°I had to strive by myself... all that time. I¡¯m thankful to my grandparents to give me some help but mostly... I was just alone. In order to repay their kindness, I did my best, indeed my very best but.. It ended up with nothing beneficial except an early death.¡± Her words were filled with sorrow to the point where I felt it too. I even almost cursed. Seeing how she wanted to live made me despise myself due to me giving up early on life. Even if she just explained little, but it was more than enough to make me feel regret for not trying further when I was alive... by a bit. After shaking away my previous thoughts, I decided to ask. ¡°We talked for almost a while now, but we still don¡¯t know each other names. May I know yours?¡± She wiped her tears, and brushed off her bangs before replying back. ¡°Nora Hourley¡± I smiled before saying. ¡°Sei Vlask, nice to meet you.¡± ~/¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯/~ Thank you for reading my really short project. Next chapter is the final. Two was always better than One She''s beautiful. Smart. But annoying? ~/``````````````````````/~ So both me and Nora decided to reach the top of the toy tower nearby. At first I declined to the idea as I had a fear high heights. But unfortunately, she persuaded me in coming along with her by handing me an icicle strawberry pop. It was too good to refuse so I came along with her. As I childishly lick away the treat. Some while later. We reached the top of the tower which reveals to us the beautiful view of the amusement park. Though its a magnificent sight to behold, I still prefered seeing her instead. Nora¡¯s silver hair was carried by the wind as it flutters like feathers. Her eyes if seen closely, werequite hazy with signs of previous crying. For some reason Ifelt something weird. She noticed that my attention was only towards her and so I¡¯m not surprised seeing that Nora started knitting her eyebrows. Words were then uttered by her. ¡°Is there perhaps something wrong with you?¡± Just like needles though she had a playful nature currently. Normally I would just deny my mistake, but right now it¡¯s different... as I reply back. ¡°There isn¡¯t at all. Can¡¯t you let a man savor your beauty? Nora made a ¡®hmph¡¯ sound as she crosses her arms together before replying back. ¡°And why should I let ¡®you¡¯ behold my beauty? First ask permission before locking your eyes upon me.¡± She then made a teasing smile. I knew that her act was all a ruse. Well that¡¯s her persona. Seeing her like that made me chuckle a bit before I started checking out my pockets. To my surprise it¡¯s still there. I pulled out my favorite cigarette brand ¡®Newports¡¯ with my lighter out from my pocket. Well honestly I felt like putting it back in due to there being a lady nearby. That is... after she told me. ¡°Hand me one will you?¡± Nora said before averting her eyes away from mine. I was bewildered to what she said before asking. ¡°Excuse me?¡± My eyeswatched as her face turns red before she asks with a tad harsher voice. ¡°Don¡¯t make me repeat myself... just hand me one.¡± As I open the box and let her take one, I ask at the same time. ¡°You also smoke?¡± She gestured me with her hands for the lighter which I did as asked. After having one go, she threw the cig away from the window. Nora then looked at me before saying. ¡°I... rarely smoke... and when I do, it¡¯s just to remember my dad.¡± I nod as I light mine too. After a moment of silence, I decided to ask. ¡°What now?¡± She looked at me for a while before replying back shyly. ¡°Want to try out the ferris wheel?¡± I got to admit, she looked really cute when she asked me. Nora noticed my expression changing and so she said to me. ¡°Don¡¯t get the wrong idea... we just got nothing else to do.¡± As a reply, I first shrugged my arms before saying. ¡°Yeah, yeah.¡± As a reveal a happy look. Seeing me like the way I am made her look away immediately as I notice her ears slowly start resembling a strawberry. ~/¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®/~ After a pleasant walk, we finally reached our destination. Though I said pleasant, I actually meant ¡®a trip filled with ridicule¡¯. Now that we reached here, I¡¯ve been wondering as to how we will be riding it? So I asked the humble lady beside me. ¡°Even if we get in, wouldn¡¯t it usually need a person to operate the ride in order to either stop or start it?¡± She blew her bangs before replying back. ¡°That¡¯s what I thought too at first, until I found out that you can start the ride inside the sitting place.¡± I couldn¡¯t help but show a surprised look from what she said. From seeing my expression, she then said. ¡°I know, I know, it¡¯s something unbelievable.¡± Knowing what she told was the truth, I started observing the gigantic ferris wheel.Did you know this story is from Royal Road? Read the official version for free and support the author. It was... really pretty. Different colors for each passenger sit. Web like metal lines connecting inside the circle. And not to mention the ever changing color of the sphere on the middle of it. Without my knowing, I felt something soft on my hand. It seems to be... that Nora already grab hold of mine while I was focused on my trail of thoughts. Her face was dyed red, and I can pretty much tell that mine is similar to hers. It has been... how long since we met? A week or two? It must just be my imagination... or is it. Theirs no night in this world so I can¡¯t really keep track of time. Before I already knew it, we spoke at least about lots of topics. But... I¡¯m afraid, I still don¡¯t know her. Her hands were warm, something I needed back then. Without any more time to think, she pulled me inside the ferris wheel where we sat together at the same chair. She was more docile compared to before and a tad bit more intimate. As I observed the place I am in, I notice the buttons in front of me. A button having the number ¡®1¡® with two more buttons saying ¡®stop¡¯ and ¡®start¡¯. Nora clicked on the button ¡®1¡® before clicking the button start. As she did that, the door automatically closed before the sound of a pleasant Christmas song starts playing. The ride then starts moving which was not fast but instead slow... very soothingly slow. ... Nora looked at me before saying. ¡°Sei... why¡¯re you crying?¡± Before I knew it, tears were falling off my eyes. Without a second thought, I rubbed it away before replying back. ¡°It must be the longing of meeting my family at Christmas eve, and... looks like I¡¯m not the only one crying.¡± I said that as I rub away the tears on her eyes. Unlike before, she wouldn¡¯t push away my hands. Hah... We developed this far... eh. She then told me with a sad smile. ¡°Before the day of Christmas... was the day were my parents died. I was left alone to watch the snow go by.¡± She then made a downcast look before I watch tears fell of her face. The song lyrics of ¡®Jingle bells, Jingle bells~¡¯ is not helping us calm down really. Seeing as my only other friend is undergoing a sober field trip, I decided to pat her hair. Not making it a mess but instead keeping its shape by slowly sliding it. Again, if she was likebefore, she wouldn¡¯t allow me to do this to her. Her head slowly rises before she rubs away her remaining tears. Nora then leans her head to my shoulder before saying. ¡°I¡¯m not a person that easily allows people to be close to me.¡± I sighed before replying. ¡°I can pretty much guess that with our previous interactions.¡± She then looked at me very deeply as I notice her smile. A hearth warming smile. The ride was pleasant. I enjoyed talking about my hobbies with Nora. Like how I am in love with playing the violin. I also learned that she loves drawing and painting which I speculated from the previous art on walls that I seen before. We once again learned something with each... and I felt like we were getting closer day by day. But... why... was my hearth paining. ~/¡¯¡®¡¯¡®````````````````¡¯¡®/~ Did three months pass already? Well it was slow and lovely then. Maybe thatis because of Nora. She¡¯s truly someone that I found happiness talking with. We visited every ride in this amusement park except the carousel or merry-go-round. The water slide ride was... the most troublesome as I hated... and I mean hated getting drenched while its cold. There was a haunted house which didn''t falter neither me nor Nora. Hmm, there also was that bumper car place which I was utterly destroyed by her. Even the bowling alley couldn''t made me lose confidense as a amn due to having a girl beat me everytime without trying. Though that all changed when I found a violin on the floor which made me win her over easily. I surprisingle felt proud at that time... and had lots of fun. ... At the carousel place. We were currently sitting on one horse which can hold both of us. The ride was similar to some others as itwent slow and smoothly. Our laughs could be heard echoing through out the park, if someone other than us, was there. We had again anothernice conversation. ... Until she became silent which made me worried asI asked. ¡°What¡¯s wrong, Nora?¡± After a short while, she replied back with a hazy voice. ¡°What... will happen to us... Sei..?¡± With her question... I couldn¡¯t help but also quiver from the thought. If it was before... I didn¡¯t mind dying. Now it¡¯s different though... as I have her who... I... love. Her body embraced me from behind as she leans her head on my back before asking... ¡°Sei... may I ask a stupid question?¡± ¡°...You may?¡± I replied back. I then notice her hands started curling my hair as she says. ¡°Do... you... lo... love me?¡± Her question caught me off guard before I replied back resolutely. ¡°I do.. I really do.¡± She then asks again. ¡°What... did you love about me.¡± I breathed in air before replying back. ¡°I like how you¡¯re naughty but caring.¡± ¡°Yes..¡± She said. I continued. ¡°I like how you deny liking something but really like it.¡± ¡°..Hmm.¡± ¡°Like... how you.. talk about stuff with a beautiful tone..¡± I continued again. ¡°...hm.¡± Slowly... her voice started becoming softer and softer. But I still continued. ¡°And not to mention that you are the prettiest person I have ever seen and.. I¡¯ll always love you.¡± I couldn¡¯t hear a reply anymore. The back of my shirt was wet. I then heard her say to me. ¡°Thank... you...¡± She then continued after a long while. ¡°If... only I met you earlier...¡± When she finished... I notice that snow started falling from the sky. Words were then uttered by her. ¡°Snow... was it... always... this beautiful?¡± I didn¡¯t mind the tears falling of my eyes. Without a care to it, I decided to say to her. ¡°I love you. I also wished that we have met earlier... maybe then we both would have changed..¡± ¡°...¡± There was no reply. I didn¡¯t feel her weight on me anymore. Deep down... I was afraid to turn and look.... but I still did. She wasn¡¯t there anymore. The noisy Nora. The lovely Nora. She wasn¡¯t there anymore. Slowly after... I felt my eyes were tired... and the pain on my chest was aching more than before. I get up and looked upon the sky. It was snowing. Haha. For the first time, I didn¡¯t mind it snowing. My legs felt tired so I fell. I also didn¡¯t mind closing my eyes. As long as I meet her again. ... ..... Extra ~/¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯/~ ... Am I dead. I¡¯m surely dead now? My eyes opened to find light. ...Ceiling light? The sound of Christmas carol could be heard nearby. I thought Christmas ended three months ago? Suddenly I felt a familiar sensation. It pains. I looked to my left to find that I¡¯m in a hospital. Did I survive..? Then... what about her? Was she just part of a dream? It must be. Though I still remembered it completely. Every joyful and fun moments. I then looked to my right... to find her. Eh, what¡¯s she doing here? Nora seems to be at a similar case to me but she¡¯s currently right now reading a book. She turns the page as she reads carefully. Does she remember me? The better question... will she remember me?The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement. Either way, I¡¯ll just ask her. ¡°Hey.¡± I said. She didn¡¯t reply back. I again said but this time a little louder. ¡°Hey!¡± She then turned around to look at me. Her eyes were cold like the winter''s snow as she says. ¡°What do you want?¡± She doesn¡¯t recognize me? ...Well... screw me.. My hearth pains... well it can¡¯t be helped... I then told her. ¡°Sorry... I thought you were someone else.¡± As I said that, I notice that she started smiling before saying. ¡°Sei, were you really going to give up on me that fast even if I didn¡¯t recall you? How rude.¡± I... I was speechless. This... lady.. I then picked up a nearby toy before throwing it at her as I say. ¡°Don¡¯t... ever do that again. I... I was going to have a hearth attack. Who knows where I¡¯m going to be sent next.¡± Nora caught the toy before she rolls her eyes before saying. ¡°Sheesh, can¡¯t take a joke?¡± I shook my head as I smile before I said to her. ¡°Nice to meet you again.¡± Tears fell of her eyes as she smiles before replying back. ¡°Me too, you crybaby.¡± ~/¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯/~ It must be fate that we met. Both of us had similar accidents and met at another world. We were on a short coma and our injuries weren¡¯t life threatening. Surprisingly by family visited me which made me very happy. I told the truth about my situation and we had a long sad/happy reunion. But I didn¡¯t leave Nora behind as I announced to them that she''s my lover. They were surprised at first before introducing and then conversing with her. I also met her grand parents who were really kind folks. In the end we celebrated Christmas together. Even though both me and Nora were still suffering from the pain. At that time it snowed, which... unlike before, I loved it. ~/¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯¡®¡¯/~ After words... both Nora and me were discharged from the hospital.
