《Ro Ginger's Abyss Amusement Park》 Chapter 1 ''She''s got the ticket to the amusement park.'' ''but I don''t have the power to do anything. Someone please protect her and send her back home.'' It was a clown with the typical exaggerated makeup and a big red smile, but his eyes are sad as if he was weeping. ''Yes.'' Ro Ginger accepted. This is the Abyss amusement park. It sounds like a perfect place for Halloween, but it is actually true to its name, an amusement park for the dead. On the darkest day every year, it sends out tickets to people and picks them up and takes them to the amusement park, as amusement for the dead. The clown was killed in a supernatural incident and his soul was attracted to the Abyss amusement park. Because he was too stubborn and did not kill other souls or people, he became so weak that other souls were going to be able to absorb him. This amusement park world is living on the larger world in which there are many other supernatural incidents happening: the bus of midnight, the empty but forever locked restroom, the wandering girl with the red dress outside classrooms, and...Love what you''re reading? Discover and support the author on the platform they originally published on. These are all real ghosts. Ro doesn''t have to care about these; he just needs to bring the target girl out of the Abyss amusement park safely. Her name is Feather White. Feather had been a friend of the clown since a young age. They both got into a supernatural incident together. The clown died and disappeared from everyone''s memory. Feather grew up just like any other girl, but she constantly seeks supernatural incidents and found a supernatural club at school with her boyfriend. They investigated supernatural phenomenon. One day, Feather saw a discount sale online and bought 2 tickets to a nighttime amusement park. She planned to go there with her boyfriend. However, just before leaving, her boyfriend admitted that he had cheated on her and asked her to go and enjoy the amusement park alone. So, the girl left for the amusement park. At Abyss amusement park, the opening time is not fixed. Participants can take the bus to it if they leave their homes at midnight and just walk along the street. The clown saw Feather''s name on a poster in the amusement park and decided to summon Ro because he was too weak to do anything now. Now Ro is going to drive the special bus to pick Feather up, in case she couldn''t survive on the bus before entering the Abyss amusement park. chapter 2 People told Feather to avoid these odd things and not to risk herself, but Feather doesn''t listen. Instead, she insists on investigating supernatural phenomenon and those who disappeared. Feather seems to be carefree and always gets to the primary scene of these old and new supernatural places, taking notes, photos, and doing her research. People who constantly visit these places will be cursed with Yin Chi ÒõÆø (the air/gas of Yin; Yin is the opposite of Yang; Yin can mean darkness). Yin Chi enabled Feather to see the ticket. At midnight, she pushed to open her door carefully and closed the door after she sneaked out. After the supernatural incident happened to her at a young age, her family moved here. Although she is studying at university, she still stays at home often. If her parents woke up, she wouldn¡¯t be able to leave. In fact, even if her boyfriend broke up with her, Feather wouldn¡¯t feel upset. She doesn¡¯t love him at all. They began to date each other because he also likes to investigate supernatural phenomena. Feather walks quietly, but if she had looked back, she would have realized that there is a ray of blurry red lights behind her. Her parents do not seem to show any sign of waking up. All the people on this street who were heading home did not see her. Feather is surprised to find that all the pavements/sidewalks from this street are gone, even though she has known this street for years. There is only one way left. The streetlights become dimmer, to the color of twilight. There is a white bus in the distance, slowly coming towards Feather. The driver is a clown who has exaggerated makeup. He coldly glances at Feather, ¡®Show your ticket.¡¯ Feather hurries and pulls out a ticket to the Abyss amusement park. The front page of the ticket looks like a joss paper without a number or a face but only five words: Abyss amusement park (ÓÄÚ¤ÓÎÀÖ³¡). The back page of the ticket has Feather¡¯s full name and photo and a red line of words: ¡®Enjoy your trip¡¯. The style is simple and the ticket smells stale. Ro checks the ticket and gives it back to Feather, ¡®Don¡¯t lose it.¡¯ Feather notices that the door of the bus is located at the rear. It is like a hearse without a coffin. Inside the bus, there are two red benches lined up at each side behind the driver¡¯s seat. There are also handles hanging from the ceiling of the bus. Right now, Feather is the only passenger. Ro needs to pick up other passengers as well. In order to get to be the driver, Ro fought against other competitors at the Abyss amusement park. Drivers can eat passengers who cannot behave well or who do not follow the rules on the bus. Even though Ro doesn¡¯t want to eat passengers, he doesn¡¯t want Feather to be eaten either. There is no limitation on drivers. If Feather tried to break the rules on the bus, she would have become a meal right away. Ro wouldn¡¯t even be able to get her corpse out. ¡®Remember what I am going to say, because if you broke any of these, you will die.¡¯ The clown turns around in his seat, and Feather is suddenly taken aback. Half of his face is illuminated by the streetlights, and the other half is in shadow. His eyes do not reflect any light, and the bloody paint on his face makes him look inhuman. By looking at his nose, Feather feels like she is sweating from her bones. ¡®Do not trust anyone here except me.¡¯ ¡®Do not talk with others on this bus. Do not open the windows. Do not try to escape.¡¯ ¡®Once you get on the bus, you will die if you don¡¯t enjoy the Abyss amusement park.¡¯ ¡®Once you enter the amusement park, wait there. Do not follow the others.¡¯ ¡®Do not trust people who you have known from real life.¡¯ ¡®Do not look back if you hear someone calling you.¡¯ ¡®I will protect you. If you think you are in danger, call my name.¡¯The author''s tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. Feather keeps this in her mind. The clown has a beautiful voice, except he looks ugly. Feather didn¡¯t sense any viciousness from him. ¡®Sir, may I have your name?¡¯ ¡®My last name is Ginger.¡¯ ¡®Mr. Ginger, have we met before? Did we know each other?¡¯ ¡®No and no.¡¯ Ro is not very skilled at driving. The bus is on a warped route while he is driving. Feather would have tried to take over the driver¡¯s job if the atmosphere was not as odd and gloomy. She wonders how the clown can be so bad at driving on such a straight empty street. She wants to vomit. There is a person standing on the street. Ro stops and opens the door. An old lady slowly gets on. Her face is bluish white like a corpse and her movement is rigid. Feather restrains her curiosity and doesn¡¯t talk. Ro is also glad to see Feather being quiet. Sometimes, the drivers from Abyss amusement park will also pick up new-born ghosts from the larger world. What will happen if a living person talks to these confused ghosts? Ro doesn¡¯t want Feather to try this out. The bus goes on. Feather is looking at the trees passing by. She realizes that all these trees are made by joss paper. It is windy and she can hear the shivering sound of the trees. However, it is obvious to recognize the difference between the sound of papers and of real tree leaves. Maybe it is too light. This game must cost a lot to create such scenes. Feather doesn¡¯t dare to talk, and she keeps these thoughts in her mind. She rubs her gooseflesh. The temperature in the bus lowered after the old lady took a seat. Feather gradually senses that, there is only one person breathing on the bus. The bus stops again. This time, a couple walks on. The girl rests on the man¡¯s chest. ¡®This looks scary.¡¯ ¡®Baby, I will protect you well,¡¯ the man hugs her tightly. Ro frowns. ****, this disgusting smell of love. Couples are the favorite target for ghosts. True love is rare after all the tests. Even if there was any, they wouldn¡¯t survive either. The bus stops. Three teenagers sit next to Feather and theysmile as theychat.. ¡®I will be the King of this amusement park today,¡¯ said a tall, thin boy arrogantly. ¡®Go bro! You will be,¡¯ a small boy responds immediately. ¡®Bro, would you really give me 100 game cash after this?¡¯ a short fat boy asks. ¡®Of course, I will trade you tomorrow,¡¯ the tall, thin boy pats the short fat boy¡¯s shoulders. This time, three muscular guys walk on. There is not an empty seat left. They looked at the three teenagers and then at the inseparable couple. The leading guy snaps, ¡®Get up and give me that seat!¡¯ The man looks at the muscular guy¡¯s arms which are even bigger than his thighs, and cowardly stands up. ¡®Hey, could you guys sit closer so my girlfriend can have a seat also?¡¯ Feather moves. So do the three teenagers. ¡®Come sit, sister,¡¯ the fat boy pokes the bench. The girl thanks them and sits down. Soon, a man with a document bag walkson with a big boobed chick. ¡®Honey¡¡Oh, no seat to siton?¡¯ The man takes 200 yuan out and asks politely in front of the teenagers, ¡®Hey children, would you trade your seats to us?¡¯ The leading tall, thin boy shakes his head. The man thinks and adds another 100 yuan. The three teenagers get one sheet per person and leave the seats to the new couple. More people walk on, the bus is getting crowded. The newcomers couldn¡¯t get a seat and they all hold the handles and stand in the bus. Feather huddles in a corner. These people are probably from all over the country because they have their distinct accents. They all bought the discounted cheap tickets to the nighttime amusement park. There are people who didn¡¯t get on because the bus is too full. After the bus drives away, shrill cries come from where the bus stopped. It must be real and extremely painful. Feather doesn¡¯t dare to talk or move. This small hearse has around fifty passengers. Someone wants a seat and suggests having everyone take turns to sit. He doesn¡¯t dare to talk to the three muscular guys, so he pushes the old lady. The old lady is pushed and her head falls onto the ground, rolling to Feather¡¯s feet. The head tries to smile kindly at Feather, but her facial muscle is rigid which makes the smile horrifying. Feather shivers. The old lady¡¯s body still sits at the bench. It bends down to look for her head for a while and failed to find the head, so it presses on the man who pushed her and plucks his head down, putting his head on her neck. The old lady has great strength and the man¡¯s scream is short; the scream ended even before it was going to start. The blood from his neck splashes the ceiling and the other passengers. Warm, salty, and raw. The body¡¯s first try failed to place the head in the right position, so it takes down the head and puts it back again. The air in the bus smells bloody, andthe passengers panicked and screamed. Feather tries to huddle as small as possible. The old lady smiles at her again with the man¡¯s head. The smile is perfect and charming, probably because the head is fresh. Some people want to escape and open the windows. Swarms of black big hands come in and grab those near the windows and drag them out. Then, people in the bus heard a mixed sound of chewing and voices of crying. Crispy and Chewy. There is also the sound of slurping. The windows are soon closed by the frightened passengers. The bus is filled with screams, cries, and wrangles. Feather notices that no one makes trouble for the driver. The clown has a weak presence. Right after her thought, someone asks. ¡®Who the **** is the driver? Take us back!¡¯ All of a sudden, everyone looks at Ro. The bus is never driven smoothly or steadily. Almost everyone wants to vomit. This is entirely the driver¡¯s fault. Ro turns his head round and sneers. His voice is so cold that passengers feel their bones are chilled. ¡®Oh? Go back?¡¯ The bus becomes quiet and everyone whispers. ¡®**** you!¡¯ A random passenger pulls out a pistol and shoots at Ro. Feather is shocked and almost wants to call the police, but her phone has been dead since she left home. Ro did not even move. The bullet went through Ro¡¯s body and the windscreen. That random person fires a second shot. All went through Ro and the hearse like going through the air. Monsters outside are attracted by the sound of the pistol shooting and begin to pat the door and the windows. They try to get some food. The door did not open, so they are upset. Roaring and the odor of putrefaction from their throats suffuse the gaps and enter the bus. Ro stretches out his hand and the hand extends like rubber. That random person¡¯s neck is grasped. With little force, the neck makes a cracking sound. ¡®Too much noise.¡¯ Ro throws him out and walks back to the driver¡¯s seat. A sound of tearing comes from the darkness. Then, people heard more slurping sounds. No one thinks this is just a game now. Neither does one dare to ask to go back. The bus is quiet again, with some sobbing. Feather feels cold. The street ahead is straight. The street behind is nothing but darkness. This might be the real way to abyss. chapter 3 An enormously large mouth with sharp teeth reflecting the bus lights appears in front of the bus without anyone noticing when it approached. Cutlets of flesh and broken toes can be seen between the teeth. Passengers cannot imagine how big its whole body is. Its large mouth is enough to swallow the whole bus easily. People on the bus are frightened again and scream and everyone¡¯s hair on their arms stands on end. Ro makes a perfect drifting, evading the mouth. Passengers are pushed together by the drifting. During the panicking, the head of the old lady falls down again and she begins to fumble for her head on the ground. Other passengers huddle and wish they could fly to avoid the head. Coincidentally, the head rolls to Feather again. It bounces and tries to get back to its body. Feather hesitates as to whether she should pick it up, but Ro makes a sharp turn, another unexplainable drifting. The head rolls into Feather¡¯s arms during the drifting while the gigantic monster is howling. This must be the hearse drifting (Á鳵ƯÒÆ)! ****! Feather doesn¡¯t know what to do with the head and she hesitates. ¡®Mr. Ginger¡..¡¯ She holds the head to her chest, but she doesn¡¯t dare to throw it away. Ro sees her silly facial expression and feels a deep headache. He uses one hand to control the bus and stretches the other hand longer to pick up the head, throwing it onto the body with force. ¡®Take care of your head. If I see it on the ground again, you will be kicked out.¡¯ Ro spoke chillingly and the head was pressed down onto the neck with the face looking at its back. The old lady holds her head with both hands and doesn¡¯t dare to fix its position, so her head is facing the wall while the body is facing the others. With this posture, she cannot look or smile at Feather anymore. Feather is uncomfortable as her hands are contaminated by sticky blood. She feels secure when she looks at the back of the clown. It would be better if his driving skill was not like that. There is no safety belt on the busso that many people get their foreheadsbumped, including Feather. Feather¡¯s back of the head is in pain as well. The bus is in a deep dark tunnel. The bus lights are flickering: fleeting scenes of piles of skeletons can be seen through the windows; a dot or two of green glows and dies out; the wind has gone and passengers hear liquid dripping from nowhere. It sounds like something heavier and thicker than water. Finally, the bus comes out from the tunnel. An astonishing luxurious amusement park appears. At the very front gate, a spectacular sign ¡®Abyss Amusement Park¡¯ hangs at the top. It has a rainbow of colors from blue to red which makes itlook old-fashioned. It would be more outdated if it had that sort of old background music.(background is one word ) No one gets the humor. That spectacular sign has told them where they have arrived¡ªAbyss Amusement Park. ¡®Arrived. Get off.¡¯ Ro opens the door and tells the passengers to check in with their tickets. There is only one street outside the gate of the amusement park, straight and empty. There is no other building nearby, while black shadows are flashing in and out in the air. Passengers have no other choice but to enter the Abyss Amusement Park. The difference might be just how long they can survive: instant death outside or slower death inside. Ro does a head count of the remaining living people. There are forty-four left. The old lady didn¡¯t enter the park. She chose to walk onto the street and gradually became another wandering black illusion. Feather takes out her ticket and shows it to the ticket inspector who has a red cap, a pale face, and a black outfit. The ticket inspector checks her ticket and gives it back to Feather, waiting for the next visitor to show him their ticket. ¡®How many more buses are coming?¡¯ He sees Ro coming closer and tries to give a friendly smile with his stiff face. As a result of his rigid body, his unnatural smile looks twisted. ¡®I do not know. Let me be the ticket inspector and you can be the driver.¡¯ Ro takes off the ticket inspector¡¯s red cap and puts it on. ¡®Thankyou bro¡¡This time I can have a new suitable body. My current body is going bad.¡¯ Feather watches the ticket inspector walking onto the bus, and to the driver¡¯s seat. He drove away and disappeared. ¡®There are rules on the tickets. Read them.¡¯ After checking all passengers in, Ro takes off the red cap and leaves it on the ground. After that, he lifts Feather up away from the crowd. Feather is not scared but everyone else is, looking at her with sympathy.Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. Is neglect of duty ok here? Is he not going to check tickets for the next bus load of visitors? ¡®Tonight, you will have to pass ten games to survive. I will help you.¡¯ ¡®Mr. Ginger, why do you want to help me?¡¯ ¡®Well, I need you to bring something back to the living world.¡¯ Ro puts a red thread on Feather¡¯s wrist and another red thread is on his own wrist already. Then he puts a purple crystal crucifix necklace on her neck. ¡®If you got lost, I can find you through the red thread. After you finished ten games and left the Abyss Amusement Park, burn this red thread into ash.¡¯ ¡®Follow my words.¡¯ ¡®Yes, I will.¡¯ Feather nods like a good child. The two are walking on a path. Ro walks ahead and Feather follows hard after him. All the lights are installed near the ground. The dark green grasses dye the lights green and the green lights shine faces green as well. The wind is gentle but chilling. It feels like something living as it licks on her skin. Feather rubs her arms. Her gooseflesh never goes away. Without consciousness, she is walking closer to Ro and picks up his sleeves. Ro decides to notice and goes on walking. Yes, it is true that the wind in the amusement park is not normal wind. There are unformed ghosts that can only inhale something from living people by getting closer to them. It might not be a threat to living people but, it will cause exhaustion. As long as Feather is within Ro¡¯s range, those winds do not dare to come near. If they did, they would be crushed by Ro. ¡®Mr. Ginger, do you always work here?¡¯ ¡®Yes.¡¯ ¡®How many years have you been working here?¡¯ ¡®Eleven years.¡¯ Feather does the calculation in her mind and sighs. ¡®What a long time¡¡I was only six years old at that time.¡¯ She guesses. Although Mr. Ginger sounds young, he must be very old now. The first game appears¡ªa roller coaster. Feather will not even play sucha game in a normal amusement park¡ªlet alone in suchaghost amusement park. ¡®Mr. Ginger, can we not play this?¡¯ ¡®No.¡¯ The rail is rusted. Winds blow by and the rail is making a cracking sound. Feather feels all her power has been drained away. There must not have been any maintenance. Every time, this roller coaster can hold six people. There is no one in line. Ro drags Feather onto the roller coaster while she is shaking. What scares Feather even more is the absence of a safety belt. There is only one handle at each side of the chair. Feather shakes even more. She is a tiny girl with delicate features on her face. Her short hair and tartan one-piece dress to her knees make her look like a cute doll. Her stubbornnessdoesn¡¯t match her appearance, but this characteristic will not work here. ¡®Hold tight onto the handles.¡¯ Ro doesn¡¯t need to hold the handle. He was just recommending Feather to do so. As long as Ro is on this roller coaster, the rail will not break. The only problem is that Feather may be thrown away during the game. ¡®Don¡¯t you want to know the truth behind supernatural phenomena?¡¯ ¡®Survive through ten games and I will tell you.¡¯ Ro pats her head. Feather holds the handles with more force. The roller coaster car rushes out without any warning. Feather closes her eyes and screams. It wouldn¡¯t be a roller coaster if the speed was not fast. Ro doesn¡¯thave any feeling about it and looks at the girl sitting next to him. She screams in a cracking voice while her eyes are shut. The grating sound on the rails, the dropping of some parts of the roller coasters, and blowing of the wind together are almost causing tinnitus. The car has been upside down on the rail for a while. The sense of weightlessness has silenced Feather. Every time she thinks it must be her limit, but the next wave of more excitements always comes. She keeps her eyes shut and doesn¡¯t dare to look. Suddenly she feels strange¡¡ She has been holding the handles tightly and her palms are sweaty but she doesn¡¯t dare to wipe her sweat. ****, the chair was flung away from the car¡¡ She opens her eyes and screams. The high-pitch scream make Ro see stars. I am going to be a muddy flesh¡¡. Ro immediately grabs her back in his arms. Even though Ro¡¯s arms smell bloody and decayed, Feather feels relieved. Feather hears nothing but wind. The sense of weightlessness is blocked by the clown¡¯s cold body. She clings to Ro¡¯s neck so hard that Ro is rolling his eyes. ¡®Idiot.¡¯ Ro didn¡¯t do anything and he lets she strangle him. Fortunately, the game is not long. Feather is actually very brave. If it was another person, that person could have fainted and will not have such force to strangle Ro¡¯s neck. Feather opens her eyes. The car moves again from the stop. The game starts one more time. Feather¡¯s scream slices through the whole amusement park. ¡®What a real dumb girl¡¡¡¯ Feather buries herself in Ro¡¯s arms. Occasionally, she looks up at Ro¡¯s chin and then buries herself again. Even if Ro curses her, she will not let go his neck. At such height, she will die if she falls. The car returns to the stop again. Ro lifts her to his chest and takes her off the roller coaster. ¡®Let¡¯s go.¡¯ Feather couldn¡¯t control her shaking legs as if she did not have leg bones. She walks a step and falls onto the ground. Ro decides to carry her on the shoulder. Not long after they left, Ro and Feather see the roller coaster starts again. There are other visitors who are playing. The screams from roller coaster are much louder and thrilling this time. As the car reaches the highest point, a chair falls down. The person on that chair falls into a muddy flesh desperately. In the second run, they scream more. One more person falls down. Ro and Feather pass by a wooden sign of introduction of this roller coaster. ¡°Roller Coaster: What can be more exciting than falling down in the air? If you scream well, it may let you pass. Difficulty: 3 stars.¡± Feather shivers. ¡®Don¡¯t be scared.¡¯ Ro failed to comfort her. Feather is weeping. ¡®Don¡¯t investigate on these things anymore. Don¡¯t buy strange tickets. Don¡¯t go out alone.¡¯ Ro pats her back. The two arrive at the next game¡ªGiant Stride. Its difficulty is only 1 star. There are players sitting and waiting it to start already. Feather recognizes some from the bus. Ro didn¡¯t get on. Feather can make it because it is an easy game. This must be the easiest game in the amusement park. A chair is dangled by two ropes. There are many chairs of such in this giant stride. As long as players can hold the ropes and not let go, they will be safe. Below the chairs, there are countless sharp blades. If a person falls, he may become a kabob. The game starts, and Feather clings to the ropes with a pale face. Ro is standing outside. The Giant Stride rotates faster and faster, clockwise and then counter-clockwise. With such a speed, Feather¡¯s stomach is rolling. Her palms are in pain but she cannot let go the ropes. She feels dizzied. The game stops suddenly. Nothing falls onto the blades. It is a matter of life and death. Everyone is strong-willed. However, layers of blood plaque on the ground have shown that this game is not that easy for all. ¡®Take them back.¡¯ Ro jumps in and kicks a blade. He doesn¡¯t care the difficulty. If it doesn¡¯t follow the direction, he will simply beat it up. Feather is carried away by Ro while she is still in cramp. It is the first time that she thinks this posture is good because her dizziness is relieved since more blood is going to her brain. She tries to comfort herself by thinking that maybe her intelligence will be improved after this¡¡ These blades went back into the ground. They can sense that the soul of this clown is powerfully bloody as if he has ended thousands of lives or more. They will be contaminated and rusted if they don¡¯t go back to the ground fast enough. Other players leave their chairs as well and thank Ro. Some want to follow Ro as well, but soon they have lost their targets. The third game they arrive at is a carousel. Ro suggests Feather to not play this. The details of this carousel are constructed well. These colorful and delicate rose carving patterns can satisfy almost every girls¡¯ dream. The difficulty is 3 stars. Feather looks at it and pauses. ¡®Do you ride horse?¡¯ Ro asks. ¡®I do not.¡¯ Maybe these horses are cute and colorful in Feather¡¯s eyes. They are however, all stooped souls for Ro. As soon as there is a living person rides on them, they will drag him down and let that person be the horse. ¡®Then, we shall leave for the next game.¡¯ Feather doesn¡¯t dare to disobey Ro¡¯s order. She follows his words. The 3 muscular guys from the bus got on the horses. Feather looks back every once a while. She hears whinny, the sound of hooves, and thrilling shouts¡¡ Later, the game ends. The 3 muscular guys come out on all fours. They come out crawlingly and run like a horse. Soon, their body grows out horse hair and a horse tail. Their palms and feet become horse hoofs, but their face is still human face. Feather trembles. One of them sees Feather and makes a whinny sound. Ro picks up a rock and throws at it. The 3 horses run away without looking back. chapter 4 The fourth game is a haunted house and its difficulty is 4 stars. Feather still cannot stand by herself but she is forced into it by Ro. It is cold outside while the temperature of the haunted house is even lower. Feather sneezes right after she enters. Ro kicks down a few wandering black shadows and he grabs a robe from the shadows, putting it on Feather. Although the robe is thin, Feather feels better. Her impulse to shake is gone. Ro picks up a sleeve on her robe and leads the way. All the ghosts howling, animals roaring, females sobbing, infants crying are left alone and ignored by Ro. ¡®If you are scared, just sing. ¡®What doesn¡¯t kill you makes you stronger~¡¯ Feather sings while she is also sneezing hard and out of tune. She calms herself by looking at Ro and doesn¡¯t change her focus. Zombies crawling out from coffins are stomped back by Ro. Infants with sharp teeth are brain-crashed by Ro. Damp female ghosts with long hair are smashed to the wall when Ro drags them by their long hair. Rotten flesh splashes around. Screams fluctuate in the air. This concert coped with Feather¡¯s horrible singing it is weird and exotic. Feather half covers her eyes and peaks at the clown¡¯s serious side face. The light is dim. His makeup is not so clear, Feather can only see a basic outline of his face. If there was no such red nose on him, he would be a very handsome guy. Ro beats up ghosts wherever he goes. By the latter half of the path, all the ghosts have run away. Why would they want to lose their lives for just a bite of food¡...? Ro himself doesn¡¯t even remember how many heads of ghosts and monsters he has blown. Feather follows him with excitement and worries. ¡®You have passed three games. The upcoming games will be harder.¡¯ ¡®I am not afraid,¡¯ Feather clings to Ro¡¯s sleeve with confidence and trust. Ro tried to think of words but he failed. This girl is going to make me karoshi? The two finally are near the exit. If without Ro, this road would be filled with green hair skeletons with black pointed fingers coming out from the walls and the ground trying to catch people. Now they hide and don¡¯t dare to come out. Feather comes out the same way as she entered the haunted house. She takes off the robe and waves at the ghosts in the haunted house. Ro leaves his temporal weapon, a bone club on the ground. He cannot bear his status after coming out from the haunted house: his body is covered in blood and another mysterious liquid that got on him during the fights. As a result, he decides to go to a nearby fountain to clean his body. The old fountain tap is on the ground on top of a cement sink inside which there are some untaken arms and legs. Normally, residents in the amusement park will come here for drinking water as they open the tap and fill the sink full and slurp all the water at once. These leftover arms and legs are probably from their mouths Feather hides behind Ro. She was going to wash her hands but this fountain is not appealing. Ro tweaks the tap and a patter of blood flows down with clots of hair. Ro is vexed and kicks the tap. The tap coughs like a human and begins to flow clear water. ¡®Is this your mouth water?¡¯ Ro detests. ¡®N...nu¡¡¯ The tap explodes with a stutter as it sees Ro¡¯s shoe is coming at it again. Feather couldn¡¯t help but laugh out loud. Ro squatted down and barely has his hands washed, when he pulls out the tap and uses it as a water tube, rinsing himself from head to toe. He asks Feather, ¡®You want to wash your hands as well?¡¯ Feather washes her hands and her face after which she feels more awake. If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. ¡®Thanks.¡¯ Ro pats the tap and pushes it back. The two set off again. There is a shooting range but not free. Anyone who wants to play needs to pay a fee. The fee is depending on the heads. Ro and Feather need to pay two heads to enter. There are two agents by the door. They wear a black outfit with two red circles on both cheeks of their pale face. They look ridiculous. Feather asks, ¡®Mr. Ginger, do all workers here put on this kind of makeup?¡¯ ¡®It is up to their Individual preference.¡¯ While Ro is speaking, he pulls off their heads. Their heads are light-weighted and cold as if the heads are made of paper. The whole process is easy and simple without any blood spilling. Ro places the heads on the counter, ¡®Are these enough?¡¯ ¡®Yes, these will work.¡¯ Funnily, the two heads on the counter replied . It is a novel place for Feather and she is looking around. ¡®Sir, you shall shoot 10 arrows at the fruit without missing. This game is easy.¡¯ The paper heads explained on the counter. However, where the target is located Featheris being tied to a chair: an apple on her head, a pear on each shoulder. Feather opens her eyes wide as into her mouth is tucked a green jujube, a cherry on her chest, and a banana in both hands. There is a watermelon on her thighs while two kiwis are on each knee. ¡®Fruit Ninja?¡¯ Ro jokes sarcastically at the paper heads. ¡®It was this lady who requested to be the target. She said she was not good at archery so she chose to gamble.¡¯ Ro wants to praise Feather as a clever dog. He is in fact good at archery. However, if he has to close his eyes, Feather might want to make the sign of the cross. Hope there is nothing unexpected otherwise Feather will be a cold body in no time. The amusement park has its own set of rules that although Ro can play around within the boundary of the rules, he cannot disobey these rules. Ro lifts his eyebrow and hints Feather to pray for herself. He pulls down the eye patch, and draws the bow with three arrows. The arrows are released without any signals. Feather would have been crying if there wasn¡¯t a green jujube tucked in her mouth. Please be serious! Mr. Clown! The three arrows reached the apple on her head, and the two pears on her shoulders. Feather¡¯s tears flow down. Mom, I didn¡¯t die! ¡®Awesome!¡¯ Two paper heads cheer on the counter loudly. Electronic sound of clapping and whistling is coming from the sound box in the room. Ro draws out three arrows again and reaches the green jujube and the two bananas. The arrow feather is close enough to Feather¡¯s nose that she smells blood and a rusty flavor. Although the arrows look old, they are still sharp. The arrowheads are barbed. It would be a great pain if the archer missed the target because it would bring out more flesh and blood when pulling the arrows out. Feather¡¯s heart beats faster. This time, Ro only draws out one arrow. ¡®Let¡¯s guess¡¡¡¯ ¡®Where will this gentleman target?¡¯ ¡®Will it be between the legs of such a young and beautiful lady, or on her delicate and smooth knees?¡¯ ¡®Or, on her chest?¡¯ Two heads are commenting with the same voice passionately. ¡®Shut up!¡¯ Ro is tired and stares at the two heads. Feather also blushes a little. The scene is confusing. ¡®Oh! This gentleman must want to kick your ass with his sharp boots for sure!¡¯ ¡®**** you! He must want to kick you first! I want to pick up your head to shake it and check if there is only water inside¡¡¡¯ The next arrow at Feather¡¯s chest stops their loud conversation. ¡®Sorry,¡¯ Ro whispers. The cherry juice splashes over her dress with red. That arrow has no more force left in it and falls down to the ground softly as it did not even reach Feather¡¯s dress. Feather was holding her breath. ¡®Sir! You are such a great archer!¡¯ ¡®Sir! You are legendary! The world¡¯s first archers would commit suicide if they knew you!¡¯ The heads eulogize sincerely. We almost thought that Sir you did not have eye patch on. Ro draws out another two arrows and reached the two kiwis without splashing any juice out. The last one, watermelon, is taken down without accident. This shot is also excellent in that it only touched the skin of the watermelon while it didn¡¯tfall down and didn¡¯t reach the red part. Ro releases her and takes down the arrows. He slaps at the watermelon like the people do in Taekwondo and divides the watermelon into half. He leaves a half on the counter, ¡®Thanks.¡¯ Then he places the other half in Feather¡¯s hands. ¡®Are you hungry?¡¯ ¡®But I don¡¯t have a spoon¡¡¡¯ Feather holds the watermelon. The two heads bite and pick up a plastic packaged spoon and fly to Feather. After she gets it, they fly away. They watch Ro and Feather walking away. ¡®We only gave one spoon!¡¯ They look at each other and grin. Ro doesn¡¯t want the watermelon. This amusement park has living beings, but Ro is not in such a category, he doesn¡¯t need to eat. He looks at how Feather finishes the watermelon alone and marvels quietly at her stomach. ¡®Thank you, sir,¡¯ Feather smiles at Ro. ¡®Six more games,¡¯ Ro reminds her sincerely. Her smile freezes on her face. She takes out her ticket. The words on the reverse, read, ¡®Play 10 favorite games and hug the morning Sun next day.¡¯ It says 4/10 below. The next second, Ro drags her onto a drop tower together. The safety equipment is in poor condition and Feather almost wants to throw herself onto the chair. When it is rising, her eyes is closed. As the seats reach around 100 meters in the air, she feels dizzy on this ¡®free chair¡¯ without a safety belt. Feather is out of strength and she shuts her eyes. Her loud scream bursts out as the chairs suddenly slide down. Up and down, round and round, She holds the back of the chair tightly. Finally she is thrown away from the chair and in desperation she clings to Ro¡¯s legs. ¡®Sir! Help me!¡¯ Feather is hanging in the air and swinging as the chairs go up and down. Her scream rings out with the cracking sound of the tower. Ro: Girl. Take care of yourself, please. Oh, this height is good for scenery viewing. I see some children¡¯s games over there. I shall take Feather to play those. ¡®AH¡ª¡¯ ¡®AH~AH~AH~¡¯ ¡®AWWWWWWW¡ª¡¯ ¡®AH¡ª¡¯ After Feather broke her voice, her scream sounds more like roaring. By the end, she decides to sing. Who knew that a game in this drop towerwouldl last 30 minutes? She clings hard to Ro¡¯s legs and her songs are far out of tune with roaring and sobbing. ¡®I wanna fly higher~¡¯ ¡®Ahhhhhhhhhh¡ª¡¯ ¡®Give me 500 more years to live~¡¯ ¡®Ahhhhhhhhhh¡ª¡¯ ¡®If I could go back~¡¯ ¡®Ah¡¡¡¯ The game finally stops. Ro puts down his hands that were previously covering his ears. Feather collapses on the ground exhausted.. ¡®AWWWWAWWAWWAW¡¡¡¯ She cries on the ground and buries her face in the mud. Ro picks her up and carries her on his shoulder, going to the next game. ¡®I wanna go home¡¡¡¯ She moans with a feeble voice. ¡®Five games left.¡¯ Ro reminds her in a relaxed manner. ¡®Can we stop playing games?¡¯ ¡®If you wanna stay here forever.¡¯ Ro lifts up the corners of his mouth and his exaggerated makeup enhances the horror of his smile. Apathy and bloodiness. Wind silences Feather. If I had known, I wouldn¡¯t have bought the ticket. This ******* Abyss Amusement Park! chapter 5 Five more games left. There is a total of twenty-six games in the Abyss Amusement Park. After Ro picks out those 100% death rate games such as the aquatic games, dangerous illusion games, RPG games, and other weird games from their game list, they do not have many choices left. The sixth stop is a Ferris wheel, the game which couples will always play in an amusement park. It looks like an ordinary Ferris wheel but in fact it is made of tentacles of a large monster. It will pick a random wheel and then put it in its mouth. Chew and swallow the wheel and the people inside. A new wheel will grow on the previous position on the tentacles. The difficulty is 3 stars. It is an RNG game. Players will survive if they are lucky enough, which makes this game not that hard. The introduction sign says, ¡°Lucky Ferris Wheel: Why not play this with your friends and enjoy our warm and sweet Ferris wheel? The luckiest players will have an extra surprise!¡± ¡°Difficulty: 3 stars¡± Feather doesn¡¯t know what will happen and thinks that this game is another drop-in-the-air game. Although it is scary to be dangled in the air, she survives after all. Feather has been through multiple games in the air, but she is still controlled by strong fear as she sees such a game. As long as Mr. Clown is here, she doesn¡¯t hesitate to put her life on the line in this game. Of course, she will still be frightened during the game. This Ferris wheel will start when at least five wheels have players. There are already three wheels occupied. They wave at Ro and Feather, ¡®Yes we can start now!¡¯ Then, they are disappointed after they know that Ro and Feather will be sitting in one wheel. Now people are waiting for the last players to join. The three teenagers come. They look pale and are walking in a trance. They are going into the same wheel. All players have entered. The Lucky Ferris wheel begins to turn. The lights are warm and the music is soft. The speed of rotation is slow.. Players can see all the scenery of the Abyss Amusement Park. The sky is as dark as black ink and gorgeous colorful games scatter in the amusement park. The plants are beautiful and exotic which cannot be seen in the living world. It is quiet here, the best scenic lookout. ¡®Sir.¡¯ Feather slips her arm through his. ¡®I feel blessed at such a moment¡¡¡¯ ¡®I wish time could stop right now forever.¡¯ Ro doesn¡¯t want to break her sweet daydream and decides not to say anything. Time can stop at this moment if they are both eaten in the next second. The mechanical arms on the wheel have become soft and slimy, covered with a thick layer of smelly green mucus. It waves all the wheels up and down while it is watching the fun of the players inside. Its underground body finally stands out on the surface. It is hard to visualize its body size because it is too large. If it wished, it could easily swallow a house. Ro and Feather hide in their wheel and try to fix themselves onto the ground so that the monster won¡¯t notice them. Feather opens her eyes wide and sees the waving thick tentacles and the abyssal mouth under them. The tentacles are bringing the wheels upon the mouth and shake. Unbelievable odor penetrates into the wheel and makes people sick. It is throwing the wheels up and down, andcatches the wheels near the mouth. Players inside are shocked and also bumped by the movements. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. It sometimes opens its mouth wide as it throws all the wheels up, as if it will take all the wheels in. So this is the surprise for lucky players? Feather¡¯s eyes are filled with tears again. *sob*, I will never play Ferris wheel again if I can go back. The monster has been playing players for nearly an hour. Feather is feeling sleepy and yawns. ¡®You can take a nap.¡¯ Ro takes her in his arms in case she is going to be thrown out into the large mouth. Feather thankfully rubs his chest with her face like a kitty cat, but Ro¡¯s next words make her no longer want to sleep. ¡®If we were eaten, you won¡¯t feel much pain during the sleep.¡¯ Ro¡¯s unaffected words awaken her entirely. She gets up from his arms and clings to Ro¡¯s legs again. Mr. Clown¡¯s legs are the most secured place to be. The next second, a wheel is dropped into the mouth. A sound of chewing crispy food is coming from the deep. The monster dives back underground. The slimy arms have turned back to mechanical arms. That unfortunate wheel is not Ro and Feather¡¯s wheel. Other players look pale and trembling. The three teenagers didn¡¯t come out. Feather loses her words and feels upset. ¡®Did they really die?¡¯ ¡®Yea.¡¯ ¡®If it picked us, would we die?¡¯ ¡®I won¡¯t let you die here.¡¯ The back of the ticket has become 6/10. ¡®Where are we going?¡¯ ¡®Kyas¡¯ Magic Castle.¡¯ This name sounds like a fantasy but Feather won¡¯t have any fantasy expectation after her experience of the Ferris wheel. All the happiness belongs to the residents of the Abyss Amusement Park. Feather has nothing to rely on but Mr. Clown. A European white castle with light blue pinnacles appears. It has a big rose garden in between the gate and the castle. There is also a clear lake. The rosy flavor can be smelled everywhere and Feather feels her nose tip has immersed in the sweet smell. She sees many fairies flying over the roses. They play and make love on the petals. ¡®Can we not play this game?¡¯ Feather knows that her question is dumb but she is too shy to see these fairies. Although they are small, they aren¡¯t different from humans except that they have wings. They are all naked. What the hell is this place? This is too bewildering. In this amusement park, what looks nice is more dangerous and cruel than those that look scary. The introduction says, ¡°Kyas¡¯ Magic Castle: Become a fairy and play with cute Kyas! If Kyas caught you, you will stay here forever!¡± ¡°Difficulty: 4 stars.¡± There is a rainbow door after the gate. Ro walks in with Feather. Their bodies have been transformed¡¡ Since she is forced here she only shows her back to Ro after the door. Ro can only see her colorful wings and her cute body shape¡¡ Just like the other fairies, she is also naked. Ro examines himself he is naked as well. They appear in the air and fall onto a rose bush, a result of poor flying skill. Needles are partners of roses. Ro sees that Feather is going to be punctured by the needles and he dives and picks her up. ¡®Shut your eyes!¡¯ Ro doesn¡¯t mind using a male¡¯s body but he doesn¡¯t want to be seen naked. Feather hurries and closes her eyes as she freezes. Actually, shedidn¡¯t see his full body. She only noticed that his red nose is gone. Instead, he is wearing a mask of black, white, and red lines. It looks like random graffiti. A sense of solemnity comes from him. It might belong to Ro himself. She is naked but Mr. Clown at least has a mask. Feather feels it is unfair. ¡®Your body shape is so flat that I will not even take a look even if you beg me.¡¯ Ro looks at Feather as she blushes and she closes her eyes indifferently. Feather blushes more. Ro regrets what he just said. Should I just tell her that I am a girl as well in my original form? Ro really didn¡¯t look at her body. He throws her to a half-open rose and enters a nearby rose. Then, he pulls some petals and some fibers from the stem to make a robe. Right now, they are just as tall as a thumb. Rose petals are big enough to make a robe. He ignores that he is wearing nothing under the robe. Feather huddles in the rose and dips a few drops of honey to her mouth. ¡®Is it sweet?¡¯ Ro asked her blandly. ¡®Sweet! Very sweet!¡¯ Feather laughs as she makes a ¡°heehee¡± sound. ¡®These honeys are an aphrodisiac.¡¯ Feather¡¯s laugh pauses. She turns around and digs in her throat to make herself vomit. Ro waits until she finishes vomiting and gives her a petal. Feather grabs it and wipes her mouth with it. Ro was going to tell her to make a robe with it. He picks her up and she covers her mouth. Will Mr. Clown drop her onto the needles because she ate the honey? Of course not, and Ro takes her to a further place and lands on a full-bloom rose. He hands her another two petals and hints to her wear them. Feather pokes two holes and stretches her arms out. Then she ties a fiber on her waist. What kind of clothes are these ¡ª a gift from Mother Nature! It has a rosy smell and rosy red color. The design and materials are both natural! The perfect colors aren¡¯t artificial¡¡ Anyway, no matter how nice these clothes are, she doesn¡¯t have a bra. Feather has a flat chest so she can still move swiftly without bra. It is still embarrassing. Both keep quiet. ¡®Mr. Clown, you are wearing a dress,¡¯ Feather looks at Ro who is wearing a woman¡¯s dress, and reminds him uprightly. ¡®Ye.¡¯ Ro doesn¡¯t care about these details. It is Feather¡¯s first time to see a guy wearing a women¡¯s gown. She thinks it fits Ro perfectly. Mr. Clown¡¯s hair is long down to his waist. His serious and indifferent qualities, his mask, his flat chest, and his red gown obscure his gender. If there were any other observers nearby, they would probably be thinking this person is extraordinary and the face under the mask must be gorgeous. Even if they were told that Mr. Clown was a female, they wouldn¡¯t doubt that. Feather barely manages to move her eyes elsewhere. ¡®We look similar.¡¯ Ro speaks suddenly. Feather looks down and notices her flat chest. Then, she touches her short hair. She realizes¡¡ I, might look more like a guy than Mr. Clown. They sit in the rose bud and the sound of lovemaking can be heard from all directions. ¡®How long are we going to sit here?¡¯ Feather rests her chin on her hand sleepily. Didn¡¯t I have to finish 10 games in one night? It would be bad if we stayed here too long. ¡®Time is different here in the Kyas¡¯ Magic Castle. You can sleep.¡¯ ¡®Please wake me up if there is anything, sir.¡¯ She lies onto the bud and falls asleep. Because of her wings, she can only sleep on her side. Feather really feels sleepy and tired. She huddles into a small ball and she still has some tears in her eyes. Ro planned to train her how to fly but then he lets it go. Daylight is fading. The moonlight is soft and clear like cream falling onto these roses as if a special topping for these desserts. Fairies are flying around the roses singing gently. A little girl walks out from the castle and runs into the garden happily. She is wearing a complex Gothic princess dress and she looks only 5 years old. Her eyes are lake blue and clear, prettier than the lake nearby. Her soft curly blonde hair reflects the moonlight. Her lips are softer than the rose petals. Her smile is innocent as if she was a little angel run away from the heaven. She only lacks a pair of white wings. chapter 6 ¡®We have new friends today? Kyas hopes you like it here!¡¯ The little girl is dancing around in circles in the rose garden. Rose needles curve their sharp tips to avoid hurting her. All the roses bloom when she looks at them. Fairies affectionately fly around her as they are laughing and cheering. ¡®My dear friends, where are you?¡¯ Her innocent voice sounds milky and cute. Kyas opens the rose buds. These roses have shown their most fragile parts to the light. However, there is no new friend whom she expects to find. The little girl is patient and opens the roses one by one. Her dark red dress¡¯ hemline unwittingly picks up some rose petals. All look nice, just like in a fairy tale. Kyas finally walks near to the rose where Ro and Feather are resting.. She looks gorgeous and is a cute little girl. But the size difference is like between a giant and an ant, Ro and Feather are only as tall as a human thumb. Kyas peaks at them through the petals. Her eye pasted on the rose. Two tiny fairies. One is sitting and the other is sleeping in silence. They are wearing flower dresses. Yes, they must be her new toys. Feather sees the enormous large eye right after she wakes up. It is blue and dark, and that is a jolt for Feather. Then, an earthquake happens. The rose is picked up by Kyas. Crimson liquid flows out from the stem and dyes Kyas¡¯ little hands red. She holds the rose with both hands and runs around in the garden. The rose petals are falling apart as Kyas is moving. Two fairies now are standing in Kyas¡¯ palms. Her hands are warm and real. Ro and Feather can easily see the lines on her hands. Countless fairies are flying around her. Their laughs are evilly penetrating, and Feather feels another headache after her long sleep. As if, there were infinite screaming in her mind. ¡®Dancing~ Laughing~ and happy forever~¡¯ Kyas is humming and her smile is as bright as sunlight. Ro holds Feather and spreads his luxurious wings out. His wings are more eye-catching than any other wings in the garden. Feather¡¯s wings are small and grey. Her ugly wings make her stand out among other pretty fairies. Kyas wonders and stares at the new fairies on her palms. ¡®Do you not dance?¡¯ Feather awkwardly tries to flap her wings, but she cannot take off from the palms at all. Kyas gets mad instantly and clenches her fists in anger. As soon as I close my fists, they will become sweet strawberry jam. Kyas squints and smiles innocently. Ro grabs Feather¡¯s waist and flies to evade Kyas¡¯ fists. He flies among other fairies and sings with them. This is dumb and mental. Ro is just pretending to sing, and Feather is too scared to move her lips. Kyas¡¯ takes out a bug net and uses that at the prettier fairies. Those slower fairies are caught by the bug net and then their wings are pulled off by Kyas and their body is thrown into a glass jar. The fairies still look happy and feel honored when they are in the jar. Ro is flying in the group with Feather. He doesn¡¯t believe it is a good thing to be caught. Do they not have a sense for pain? Their backs are bleeding. If all these fairies were human who entered here in the past, what have they been through? Kyas puts the bug net away as she has filled the jar full with bleeding fairies, going back into the castle. Ro is too tired to move. There are much less fairies nearby. This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. They rest on the ground by the edge of the garden, panting. Although Ro carried Feather all the way, Feather is stressed as well. She alertly reminded Ro to fly left, right, up and down, faster, and faster. Other fairies who have survived are making love again. Some have had a bulged womb and their belly looks like a small fruit. The roses are their wedding room. The honey is golden and sweet. Fairies are sucking the honey and they look forever na?ve. Ro and Feather pick a rose to rest as well. They hope to have a peaceful night. In a trance, a whisper comes from a distance outside the garden along with panting and singing. Feather feels hot and holds it to herself. At the end, she cannot bear it anymore and wakes up from her sleep, clinging to Ro¡¯s legs again. ¡®Help me, sir!¡¯ Mr. Clown is magical! The torturous heat is retreating after she clings to his legs. Itch comes after the heat. Feather looks at him with shinning eyes of trust. What is she looking for from him? ¡®Sir¡¡¡¯ She has lost her voice from too much screaming. Her calling is soft and low, full of sugar. Yet, she didn¡¯t realize that and keeps rubbing Ro¡¯s legs. What can Ro do? Ro is dumbfounded. He picks up her wrist and finds that she is poisoned with lust. Probably the honey she ate caused this symptom. ¡®Sir! Help me!¡¯ Feather climbs up to his chest and looking at him helplessly with tears. Her tears are as pure as the morning dew. ¡®Don¡¯t look.¡¯ Ro decides to use a final solution. Feather blushes and listens to him, but she trembles due to fear. ¡°whop¡ªwhop¡ª¡¯ Ro slaps her twice, one left and one right. Feather doesn¡¯t have time to react. More slaps come. Three after two. Left and right. Non-stop. These slaps are loud¡¡ Mr. Clown is also speaking at the same time with his charming voice. ¡®Sorry baka. I don¡¯t have any other way.¡¯ Ro can only think of one way to solve this. Beat her up and wake her up with pain. Although it is inhumane to beat a girl, but the situation will not wait for Ro to come up with a better solution. To help Feather, he decides to be a bad man who slaps a girl. ¡®It is okay! I understand! Just stop slapping me¡ª¡¯ Feather finds herself back quickly and screams. Ro sees that and stops slapping. The inner desire in Feather¡¯s mind has been put down by embarrassment, anger, gratification, and other feelings. Ro is quite and feels bad for her. Feather covers her face and turns away. I don¡¯t want to talk to him anymore. This motherfucker baka is too mean. The moon is right at the top of the sky. The sweet smell of rose has become so thick that they have formed a fog in the garden. A faint smell of blood spreads. It is getting heavier. Feather covers her nose and looks up¡ª Their rose is melting, and sharp teeth are growing at the edge of the petals. The blood of the rose is dripping onto her head. Ro picks her up quickly and they fly away from the rose. Although their rose closes quickly, it didn¡¯t catch any meal. That rose is disappointed and shakes its head. It no longer pays attention to Ro and Feather and begins to compete against other roses for fairies. Those lively fairies of the day are all swallowed and eaten by the roses. Sometimes there is more than one rose feeding upon one fairy and tear it apart. Some swallow a fairy entirely and digest it slowly. Some didn¡¯t get any fairies at all and try to stretch their stems to eat away other roses. These fairies are unconscious after they ate the honey. None of them escape. After all the fairies are eaten. The garden returns to silence again. Ro and Feather sit together by the lake, waiting for the sun. ¡®When can we exit this game?¡¯ The golden sun is warmer than anything else for Feather. The lake looks like an ocean. Wind brings waves and moisture to them. A little wet in the sunlight. Feather rests her chin on her hands. ¡®Two days later.¡¯ ¡®Can we get out safely?¡¯ ¡®Yes, we can.¡¯ Feather can feel pain, but her face doesn¡¯t swell, and it doesn¡¯t have the slapping marks either, probably because her current body is not her real body. The roses are swinging as the morning sunlight shines on them with the gentle wind. Youthfulness. Feather finally notices why she likes these roses¡¡ They are always fresh and full of life. No rose decays. Maybe, those decayed and lost roses were eaten last night. The first rose blooms. A naked fairy is sitting on the bud. It rubs its eyes and tries to flap its wings. It looks innocent and happy. More roses bloom. The blooming sound of one rose is tiny, but the blooming sound of thousands of roses can be heard. It is the sound of life. It is the sound of wind and sunlight falling. It is the sound of moving petals¡¡ They enter the ears to Feather¡¯s heart. Feather feels a bit itchy. She looks back at those just-born fairies that are trying to fly, and tears suddenly fall from her face. ¡®I hate this and like this¡¡¡¯ The sound of leather shoes walking on a wooden board is coming. ¡®Good morning little fairies!¡¯ Kyas is wearing a white-laced apron and headdress like a maid. She walks out gladly and waves at the fairies. The fairies are also happy to see her. Kyas spreads a red tartan sheet on a white stone desk flat and neat. Then she grabs a plate of nuts and bread from the castle. She places the utensils, jam, and milk in order. After that, she sits down solemnly and gets some pink jam from the glass jar for the bread. If Ro and Feather can ignore the fact that this glass jar is exactly the same as the glass jar that was used by Kyas to keep the fairies, the scene is beautiful. ¡®let¡¯s have breakfast together!¡¯ Kyas raises her cute arm and filled her cream color shell-shape plate with milk. Then she puts another plate of bread on the desk to invite fairies to eat with her. ¡®New friends, don¡¯t you wanna come?¡¯ Kyas is looking at Ro and Feather. ¡®Thank you for your generosity, your cute highness Kyas.¡¯ Ro salutes her politely. ¡®You really don¡¯t come to eat? It won¡¯t cause any trouble to eat food here.¡¯ Kyas¡¯ smile is sweet, but she looks upset when she sees Ro not coming. Feather¡¯s belly makes a noise. Kyas understands and smiles at her in a friendly manner. Feather is still a living person and she will feel hungry when she is hungry. Ro doesn¡¯t need to eat but Feather has been starving for a long time. The last time she ate was when Ro gave her half of a watermelon which was mostly water. She doesn¡¯t even want to think of the honey. ¡®Sorry, sir.¡¯ Feather blushes and apologizes. ¡®No need to apologize. It was my fault that I didn¡¯t notice you are hungry.¡¯ ¡®Excuse me, your highness.¡¯ Ro brings Feather to the desk. Kyas takes out another plate, slicing bread, and pouring another milk for Feather. Although Kyas is a little girl, her movement is elegant and natural like a princess. Yet, it is too hard for Kyas to prepare a meal for a tiny fairy and Feather doesn¡¯t know what to do with a pool of milk in front of her. Ro picks a fresh and green leaf, rolling it into a spoon for Feather to drink the milk. Feather finishes half of a piece of bread and feels better. Ro is sitting close to her quietly. The size of the bread she just ate is more than ten times larger than her body, but her belly is still flat. She is nervous at first as she uses the leaf spoon to drink milk. Then she throws the leaf away and begins to drink and to devour milk from the edge of the container. ¡®Sweet?¡¯ ¡®Sweet! Very sweet!¡¯ Feather¡¯s devoted and happy face freezes. She doesn¡¯t know why but she thinks this conversation has happened before. chapter 7 ¡®Is this food really safe to eat?¡¯ Feather whispers. ¡®I don¡¯t know.¡¯ Ro is not a living person, he cannot tell. Feather hiccups, and her head is getting heavier and dizzied. She failed to cry¡¡ There is something wrong with the food. As she wakes up again, she sees herself inside a delicate metal bird cage. There are also other fairies that had eaten Kyas¡¯ food in the cage with Feather and Ro. Ro is awake all the time, but he follows Kyas and decides to enter the cage with Feather. The danger in Kyas¡¯ Magic Castle doesn¡¯t come from Kyas, but from the castle itself. The castle has the passive power to confuse and demonize creatures. Ro thinks it is easier to deal with the castle owner Kyas than facing unknown effects from the castle. As long as they are within Kyas¡¯ power range, the castle cannot infect them. ¡®Kyas likes singing! Please sing here!¡¯ Tiny fairies begin to sing. Feather sings along with them ¡®Not loud enough¡¡Singing at this level doesn¡¯t make Kyas happy!¡¯ The tiny fairies begin to sing louder, but Kyas is still not satisfied. The Fairies¡¯voices are too quiet. Kyas picks two random fairies out and pulls their wings off, dropping them to a new glass jar and pounding them with a pounder. The sound of the colliding pounder and the glass jar mixes with the sticky flesh and bursting bodies and the whine of the dying fairies to create an astonishing pathos. Kyas¡¯ face finally speaks of a satisfied smile. The remaining fairies are shouting out the song. Their eyes are still clear and affectionate as they look at Kyas. Even though they just saw their friends die, their love for Kyas does not go away. They love her so much. It is the royal love that they are willing to sacrifice all for her. Fairies are too tiny. They have used all their energy but their singing still cannot compete with human volume. They are using their life to sing this sweet and lively song. It is sorrowful. Feather is singing along with them with her long and beautiful tune. She has tried her best. It is hard however to move Ro with such a scene. Although these fairies are choking blood and collapsing, Ro doesn¡¯t have much feeling or sympathy for them. Only young and na?ve people like Feather will feel sad in this situation. Ro is used to them. ¡®Okay!¡¯Kyas claps her hands and ends the singing. Although they are like a smaller version of humans, their voices are no louder than a new-born kitten. Kyas goes back to her soft princess bed for a nap after filling water in a small tea cup in the cage. The fairies didn¡¯t move and hint for Feather to drink first. She doesn¡¯t seem to be happy. Yet, she doesn¡¯t reject their kindness. It is true that she doesn¡¯twant to sharethe water with other fairies. ¡®Sir, can we set them free?¡¯ This cage is not locked. It seems like that they just need to push and can be freed. ¡®They are a part of here.¡¯ ¡®Does that mean a no?¡¯ ¡®Yes.¡¯ Kyas was a princess from a middle age Kingdom. This castle was built by her parents to celebrate her birth. However, this cute little girl was cursed even before her birth by an evil witch. As a result, Kyas was extraordinally crueler than other kids of her age when she was little. Her parents didn¡¯t think this cute girl was their expected child. They claimed that she was a devil and burned her to death along with the castle. The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. Kyas and her castle revived in the Abyss Amusement Park, becoming a game here. Players who entered the game and failed to escape have become a part of the game. At first, the difficulty of Kyas¡¯ Magic Castle was only 1 star. Today after many years, the difficulty has become 4 stars. The castle¡¯s will is to please Kyas. Kyas¡¯ will is to¡¡ No one even knows what this innocent looking cruel girl wants. Ro cannot break any game here. They are a part of this smaller world. Ro will need great courage to challenge the world order. For Ro, he cannot do anything beyond bullying some weaker ghosts here to protect Feather. ¡®Okay.¡¯ Feather has not got away from being upset. These fairies¡¯ eyes are pure. To Ro, they are pure because they know nothing. They are like new-born babies who just came to the world and didn¡¯t know anything. Feather¡¯s eyes are pure also, but her purity is her insisting self and kindness after going through many things. Ro is willing to protect her and send her back to the living world even without the request. However, he doesn¡¯t have time for the rest. Most people lose to the honey from the sweet rose in the first day and fail to welcome the morning Sun again. The wind from outside enters Kyas¡¯ room through her wooden windows, gently picks up her curtains and the bowknots on the windows. A pair of small red leather shoes sits by her bed. It is neatly sewed and full of love from parents to their child. A string of small bells decorated with fairy¡¯s wings are swinging and making a sound. Kyas wakes up and rubs her eyes. She turns around on the bed and huddles. Her soft blonde hair covers her cheeks. The bells ring again. Kyas stretches herself and sits up. Her blue eyes are gentle and moist but confused and lonely. She sits still on her bed. After a long time, she bends down and puts on her shoes slowly. ¡®Should I catch fairies?¡¯ ¡®Or hide and seek?¡¯ ¡®Strawberry jam¡¡¡¯ ¡®I am bored of these.¡¯ She slides down from her bed and sits on the wooden floor. It is not a correct thing to do. A young lady should not sit on the ground. She is on the floor, but no one will criticize her. She failed to recall her previous life¡¡ It has been thousands of years. She is the cute little Kyas here forever. The castle freezes her time. Kyas shows desires and longing of a teenager on her little face. ¡®What does the outside look like?¡¯ She buries herself in her knees and combs her long blonde hair with her hand. She is asking Feather. Ro belongs to the Abyss Amusement Park that Kyas just ignored him. ¡®What aspects of outside?¡¯ Feather is afraid of this violent lolita who pulls off fairies¡¯ wings based on her personal will. Even if Kyas didn¡¯t hurt the fairies, Feather would be still afraid of her from her own instinct. Just a while ago, there were two fairies becoming strawberry jam. Yet, she seems to be normal now and Feather gained some courage. ¡®Tell me about your life.¡¯ Kyas tilts her head and looks at Feather with curiosity. Fairies also look at Feather in a curious manner. ¡®I am just an ordinary person. Every morning, I wake up in a hurry and grab my breakfast somewhere as I run to my class.¡¯ ¡®What place is your class?¡¯ ¡®A class is in a school. A school is a place where people go to study. There are schools for both kids and adults. Most students are around the same age in a school and we have all kinds of courses from geology to maths to art.¡¯ ¡®Then?¡¯ ¡®I take classes in a classroom and eat in a cafeteria during lunch time. There will be a lot of people during that time and we need to line up to get food.¡¯ ¡®What do you eat there? Strawberry jam and bread?¡¯Kyas¡¯ eyes glitter. She is looking for more. It must be busy! ¡®We have a lot more choices in the cafeteria. For breakfast, we have noodles, century egg pork congee, red bean congee, tremella and red date congee, dumplings of pickled Chinese cabbage, Chinese cabbage with pork, pork with rice noodles, three delicacies, steamed dumplings, three delicacies tofu skin, soy milk and fried bread stick, Jianbing, egg bing, pickled Chinese cabbage bing, thousand layers bing¡¡¡¯ Ro is falling asleep during Feather¡¯s listing of food. Feather is not good at expressing but she knows where the most catching point is. Kyas is very concerned now. She is looking at Feather muddled, and Feather explains. ¡®Noodles/mianÃæ is a category which includes ramen, xiaomian, vegetablemian, alkaline mian, cup noodles, egg mian, and ordinary rice mian.¡¯ ¡®Your highness, you know we have wheat right? We can grind the wheat and make it into bread.¡¯ Kyas nods to show that she understands. ¡®Wheat can also be made into noodles, but I am not sure about the exact process. Different processes will create different noodles.¡¯ ¡®If we add some vegetable juices in the process, the noodles will taste fresh and it has pretty colors.¡¯ ¡®If we add more eggs in the process, the noodles will come out soft and smooth with egg flavor.¡¯ ¡®Ordinary rice noodle is very soft. If we add a small morsel of Chinese bacon/À°Èâlarou when cooking the noodles, the noodle¡¯s aroma will make you hungry right away.¡¯ ¡®To make a larou, we pickle pork during winter and dry them under the sunlight when there is a sunny day. The longer the pickle process is, the longer the larou can last. Some Chinese will roast larou with pine twigs and the larou will have a fresh pine flavor.¡¯ ¡¡ Kyas keeps nodding her head. After Feather finishes, she is thirsty. Kyas hurries to offer her water. It is time to explain congee. ¡®Century egg is a kind of pickled chicken egg or duck egg. Their shells are usually a little green. A century egg is already cooked and we just need to break it and eat it with vinegar, a homemade chilli sauce of at least 3 months in a pot, and sesame oil. Slice them and put them on a plate with toothpicks on each morsel. It is great to eat it during the summer with rice congee.¡¯ ¡®An experienced cook will use a clean thread to cut the century egg instead of using a knife.¡¯ ¡®Why?¡¯Kyas is sitting close to Feather. Her blue eyes can only notice Feather now. ¡®Because century egg is very sticky since its egg yolk is still half liquid and half solid. If the cook uses a knife, the knife will have some egg yolk on it and it is risky to clean a knife. It would be a pain if the cook accidentally hurt himself/herself.¡¯ ¡®For a century egg pork congee, the process is simple. Just peel the egg from the shell and throw it into the pot. Poke it with a pair of chopsticks and it will break into pieces.¡¯ ¡®We need to stir fry the pork first in order to make a good century egg pork congee. First of all, we will also add some ginger to the stir-frying process to get rid of the porky bloody flavor¡¡¡¯ The whole afternoon passes like this. Even Ro was listening to her talking about food. Kyas was stupefied and didn¡¯t eat lunch. The moon is rising, Kyas doesn¡¯t go watch fairies dancing either. She even frees the fairies inside the cage. ¡®Feather, will I also be able to eat the food you just told me?¡¯ Kyas has forgotten her post-favorite sweet rosy strawberry jam. ¡®Of course.¡¯ In order to save Kyas¡¯ dinner, the ¡°strawberries¡±, Feather in the heat of the moment promises to make her food of the outside world. She neglects her body size and Kyas¡¯ food ingredients storage. ¡®Sir helps me!¡¯ Feather clings to Ro¡¯s legs again. We never know starting from when Feather has thrown away her ¡°face¡±. Probably after she got used to the lovemaking sound of the fairies. ¡®¡¡¡¯ Ro pats her head and contemplates how to make food for Kyas. Kyas¡¯food is cooked by the castle every day. The kitchen is a room without any spices. There is only egg, bread, and water. Ro suddenly recalls that he¡¯s got some food in his own storage space from his previous quests. Finally, he finds his storage space useful! chapter 8 Ro sorts out the food and there are hardtacks, cumin powder, honey, oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar, tea leaves, rice, and a spicy salted duck¡¡ He didn¡¯t realize the advantage of food in his space storage until now. The stove fire is small and slow and they put a big pot on a rack on it. The warm, moist aroma of congee is filling the kitchen. It is just a regular rice congee. The corners of Kyas¡¯ mouth reflect the light and she soon swallows her saliva as she realizes it. Ro¡¯s body is too small to cook all the food. Kyas is also doing the cook¡¯s job as Ro is giving her instruction. This little princess is watching and taking care of an egg in a pan. The egg white is turning opaque white and jelly like. Then it gets a little yellow and golden. The aroma is becoming more overwhelming. Ro sprinkles some salt on the egg and tells Kyas to flip the egg. The egg yellow is poked a little bit and a few specks of yellow leak out. Kyas is nervous and distressed as she sees that and takes a deep inhale. ¡®You did well.¡¯ Kyas blushes. The first fried egg comes out. Then the second one and the third are done also. They lie on a plate like three tiny Suns shining under the kitchen lights. Next, Ro orders Kyas to stir new eggs in a bowl and then dip bread pieces in it. They are going to fry the bread pieces soaked with egg. There are no other ingredients so they can only make this. The good thing is that the bread is not too sweet and that adding the egg flavor to it does not make it weird. Ro still feels uncomfortable about these bread pieces that he only asks Kyas to make two and stop. The rest of the eggs are going to be made into egg roll. Ro sprinkles some pepper and salt on the pan. Then he asks Kyas to pour a thin sheet of egg from the bowl to the pan. When the upper layer is cooked, he asks Kyas to roll it to the side of the pan and just repeat the process over and over. They cut the final egg roll into small morsels on a plate with some ketchup besides it. Perfect. Kyas picks one up and eats it. She squints and smiles. Feather also helps a little and she is eating as well. She takes an egg roll which is much larger than her tiny body. In order to eat the egg roll better and faster, Feather finally masters how to fly so that she can fly around the egg roll and bite it. Previously, she couldn¡¯t fly and Ro always carries her. Kyas and Feather finish a plate of egg rolls and the fried eggs. They drink milk and hiccup together. ¡®God bless me. This is the best afternoon tea I have ever had.¡¯ Kyas is sitting, limp on a white wicker chair like a resting kitten. Feather and Ro are on another wicker chair and they are enjoying sunbathing. In order to make them feel comfortable, Kyas puts a soft handkerchief on them. At dinner, Kyas finishes three bowls of rice congee along with the spicy salted duck. After knowing that this spicy salted duck was given by Ro to her for free, Kyas gives Ro her favorite pearl necklace. Every pearl on it is round and white and as big as half of Ro. Kyas notices that this necklace is too big for them and promises that they will return to their human size after they get out. At night, Feather is telling fairy tales to Kyas, but this little princess doesn¡¯t want to sleep at all. She cares about Feather¡¯s health and closes her eyes when the day light comes out. Before she falls asleep, she begs Feather to tell her more stories after she wakes up. The sleeping Kyasdoesn¡¯t look different from other normal girls. In fact, Kyas looks normal most of the time. Ro watches them falling asleep and waits for the sun to rise. The sun has been out there for hours. Kyas is still sleeping. Feather wakes up, and Kyas is still sleeping. Thick smoke is rising outside the castle. The crying of fairies is coming from the garden. It is fire. Ro and Feather fly to the window and see that the whole of Kyas¡¯ Magic Castle is on fire. The lake is also boiling and this doesn¡¯t help.Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. Kyas is still sleeping in the castle. The fire has reached her bedroom door. ¡®Kyas is having a nightmare again.¡¯ ¡®She dreams of the day when she was burned to death.¡¯ ¡®She will not wake up.¡¯ ¡®Usually at this time, the castle is closed in the amusement park to avoid any entry.¡¯ ¡®You guys are really unlucky.¡¯ ¡®This fire will not stop.¡¯ The tea pots, carpets, walls are coming alive in the castle and complain. ¡®Oh, my shoes¡¡¡¯ ¡®Damn, when can I wake up next time in the castle?¡¯ ¡®Sir¡¡¡¯ Feather grasps Ro¡¯s sleeve. The bedroom is all black smoke. Kyas¡¯ bed is burning as well. ¡®What do we do?¡¯ Maybe Kyas will not die, but she is shrinking herself and she looks miserable. Are we going to just watch her being burned to death? ¡®She is dead already.¡¯ Ro says that, but he still returns back to his human size and grabs Kyas and Feather, rushing out of the castle. The roses are forced to show their true face as a result of burning. Their fragile petals have become a bloody mouth. Their faces on the stems are ferocious. Some fairies died in the fire. Some are wandering near the lake. Ro puts Kyas and Feather on the sandy land in the center of the lake uncovered due to the lakes evaporation. ¡®Sir, where are you going?¡¯ ¡®Kyas¡¯ dream.¡¯ Feather¡¯s wing has a hole burned out by the tongue of flames. It hurts. She lies on her front on Ro¡¯s palm, lovely. ¡®Sorry sir. I brought troubles.¡¯ Feather apologizes. ¡®Wait for me here.¡¯ ¡®I will be here waiting.¡¯ Ro carefully places Feather next to Kyas and walks into the fire alone. Feather worries and sighs deeply. Mr. Clown will be back. It is a very backward age. The royal family is sensitive about their reputation and does everything with a proper reason. The royal castle is already large enough. In order to make it larger, they realize that Kyas will need another castle to live in so they build another castle. It is a time and labor consuming project. In order to finish this new castle before Kyas was born, many have died. A haunted witch curses the queen that their child will be not be a prince. The queen is mad and thinks the curse works and turns her prince to a princess. The witch is burned to death. Her shrilling curse reverberates in the castle for a long time after her death. ¡®The daughter of the King and the Queen will have rosy lips. Her skin will be whiter than snow. Her hair will be as shiny as the Sun. Her eyes will be as blue as the lake. Her laugh will be as pleasant as a lark¡¯s chirp. Her mind will be more evil than the demons in hell. She will bring an end to this kingdom.¡¯ Although the King and the Queen were looking forward to have Kyas, the witch¡¯s curse leaves a shadow on their expectation. When this angelic-looking girl brings a pair of broken butterfly wings to the Queen, her scream spreads across the whole castle. Kyasdoesn¡¯t understand why her mother doesn¡¯t appreciate her gift. What she gets is more ladies¡¯ curses. When the Queen sees a pair of red rabbit eyeballs on her plate, she faints. That is a gift from Kyas. The Queen needs the rabbit fur to decorate her dress and Kyas likes the red rabbit eyeballs. Their interests are not conflicting. The Queen doesn¡¯t understand. The difference between a human and a beast is that a human has sympathy for weaker beings. They will feel bad for unfortunate people and they will feel glad when there is a lucky thing happening. Kyas is different from other people because she doesn¡¯t have such empathy. She is always happy and innocent. She doesn¡¯t feel bad for the dead and doesn¡¯t feel scared by the blood on her hands. Kyas¡¯ cat is sick and dies. The maids are going to bury it. Kyas doesn¡¯t want it to rot underground. It would be great if the cat could have been flying like a bird in the air. It was not happy when it lived in the castle. The cat doesn¡¯t have wings to fly. Kyas hangs it on a tree and hopes its soul can fly. The Queen sees that and faints again. No one agrees with Kyas¡¯ actions. The kingdom is in a war and is going to lose. The King and the Queen are fleeing. They leave Kyas in the castle as a sacrifice to pacify the citizens¡¯ rage. Kyas is tied to the bell tower at the top of the castle. Bushes of thorns are around her. A torch is thrown at her. Flames rise high. Kyas is looking at the King and the Queen confusedly. Their eyes are full of hatred and wrath. ¡®This demon, who tookthe princess¡¯ body, shall go back to hell!¡¯ ¡®She brought us war and disaster!¡¯ Kyasdoesn¡¯t understand. The flames reach her dress. A clap of thunder brings clouds and heavy rain, putting out the flames on Kyas. This must be the sign of demons coming out. The alarmed and scared citizens and the royal family begin to pour oil on Kyas and on the whole castle. Flames rise high again. ¡®I don¡¯t get it¡¡¡¯ Kyas murmurs as her body is burned black, badly mutilated, and too horrible to look at. ¡®Why?¡¯ ¡®Why did they teach me to be kind, quiet, and polite¡¡¡¯ ¡®I don¡¯t get it¡¡¡¯ She looks down at the horrified crowd. ¡®Kindness is respecting all lives. Not talking is quiet. Behave well is polite¡¡¡¯ ¡®I am already learning¡¡Why don¡¯t they like me?¡¯ She looks at her parents. They avoid her eye contact. Her burned and twisted body makes her look like a real devil. The flesh and skin on her face burst out. Her whole body breaks into pieces and falls onto the ground like overheated porcelain. ¡®I don¡¯t get it¡ª¡¯ ¡®No one likes me.¡¯ ¡®No one!¡ª¡¯ Ear-piercing screams rise up from all directions. The cry of despair and hate is a combination of pain and exhaustion. ¡®Your highness, my name is No One.¡¯ Ro is in a black robe. His face is also covered by the hood. A mysterious man. He picks up Kyas¡¯ body parts from the ground and pieces them together in a box. ¡®Let us go back home.¡¯ ¡®We shall never come here again.¡¯ ¡®Home?¡¯ The angry soul of Kyas gawks at Ro. ¡®Yes, let¡¯s go.¡¯ Ro picks up her hand and walks on the path when he walked into the dream. The weakness of an angry soul like Kyas is obvious. Once you hit her at the right point, she will no longer be harmful. The only trouble is going in and out of her dream. It took Ro a long time to find Kyas and it almost drained all Ro¡¯s power. ¡®Why didn¡¯t you get better after thousands of years here?¡¯ Ro holds her hand and scolds. ¡®What have you done? Dumb and silly.¡¯ ¡®The rest of your life is still long. Why are you still mad at those who have already died for many years?¡¯ ¡®I sense that you have great potential and the meeting of us is fatal. Let me give you these sacred magic books. Once you have mastered these, you will have the magic ability to let everyone love you.¡¯ Ro places some thick books in Kyas¡¯ hands. If Kyas knew Chinese characters, she would be able to tell that these are ¨C ¡¶18 Ways to Make Soups¡·¡¶How to Make Homemade Food¡·¡¶Hot Pot¡·¡¶10k Desserts¡·¡¶30 Minutes a Dish ¡·¡¶365 Ways of Food Medicines¡·¡¡ Unfortunately, Kyas doesn¡¯t know Chinese. She puts away the books carefully and with respect. ¡®Thank you, sir.¡¯ ¡®You need to stay calm during your cultivation and kill less.¡¯ Then, Ro recalls that a cook will always have to deal with ingredients from vegetables to animals¡¡ ¡®You may not be able to avoid killing during the cultivation process. You will need to control your killing. Amitabha, and also Hallelujah.¡¯ Ro pushes her out of the dream and places the box in her hands as well, although Kyas is still confused. That was the last concern of Kyas in the dream. From now on, she will not have this nightmare again. Ro takes off his robe quickly. This robe was from a packed custom present in his space storage. He picked this out in order to create himself as a mysterious man. He puts his mask back on and exits the tunnel, as if nothing had happened after he left Kyas and Feather. These sacred magic books came from the author. They are temporary stowaways from the real world to Ro¡¯s space storage. chapter 9 Kyas has a solid body in Kyas¡¯ Magic Castle. Her soul just came back from the dream and she needs to adapt. Her manner has become a ruin. She wakes up but doesn¡¯t care about her manner. She has got the mysterious sacred magic books! She lets Ro and Feather go considering that they only made her two meals and throws them out of her game. They pass Kyas¡¯ Magic Castle. Kyas is still lost in the colorful pictures in the books. The reverse side of the ticket becomes 7/10. The Abyss Amusement Park is still dark with a breeze, blood moon and no stars. Half of the night has passed. They need to speed up. Ro and Feather pass Room Escape, the Aquatic Games, Zombie Hospital, etc¡.. They now stand in front of a mirror maze. The wooden sign says, ¡°Mirror Maze: There is a YOU in every mirror and one of them isa ghost. Break the haunted mirror and you can pass.¡± ¡°A friendly tip: You will die if you break yourself.¡± ¡°Difficulty: 5 star.¡± ¡®Are we going to play this game?¡¯ Feather points at the sign. ¡®Do you want to?¡¯ Ro has changed back to his clown costume and doubts her. ¡®No!¡¯ Feather shakes her head. Supernatural incidents get scarier when there are mirrors involved. ¡®Then we shall go play other games first.¡¯ Mr. Clown finally takes her thought in! Yet, Feather didn¡¯t catch the meaning behind his words. ¡°Doll Catcher Machine: Don¡¯t get caught!¡± ¡°Difficulty: 4 star.¡± They arrive at a doll catcher machine. The clean glass windows reflect Ro¡¯s and Feather¡¯s shape. Unlike other doll catcher machines in the living world, this machine has peashooters, sunflowers, potato mines, etc¡¡ It is a funny doll catcher machine. Feather is looking for coins in her pockets. Then, she sees that Ro just punches the switch on the machine. They are sucked into the machine. This is a cuboid space. Its wall looks like a sort of silver color metal, firm and smooth. A hole is at the top of the space and the ground is paved and covered with black soil, soft and moist. A spider mob crawls out from the hole. It has eight legs and thick leg hair. No one would want to be poked by the leg hair. A human face grows on its belly. The mouth opens wide and spins cobwebs. It is sliding down. Feather¡¯s hair stands on end. Sometimes, insects can cause more fear than unknown ghosts, especially like those extraordinary large spiders. If it was a pretty spider with a smooth surface, it might look nice, but it is covered by a colored pattern which tells of its poisons. It has a much more complex pattern than ordinary spiders, it has a visual effect of causing dizziness. Its long leg hair is like a bayonet ready to charge any prey in front of it. What is more disgusting is the human facing spinning the cobweb while it is vomiting. Its saliva is greenish yellow and stinking. Feather wouldn¡¯t even look at it if it wasn¡¯t there. ¡®Sir, what do we do?¡¯ She trembles as the spider approaches. In fact, she has always been trembling when she is in the amusement park except for some occasions. At this moment, neither breaking the cobweb nor standing still is a good choice. ¡°Shoot ten peas a minute at the spider and it will be slowed.¡± A familiar boom rises. Feather finds herself no longerin her human form. She has been changed into an ordinary green Peashooter. The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement. However, her companion Ro has become a Gatling Pea with a green helmet. Feather for the first time in her life has realized the class difference and feels mixed emotions. Ro rattles and shoots at the spider without missing one pea. Feather admires. The spider¡¯s body has taken in an uncountable amount of peas and finally explodes in the air. Greenish yellow mucus is everywhere and something drops on the ground. Feather wants to vomit and drop the peas in her body, but she swallows it when it is at her throat. I cannot waste my peas. Another spider crawls out and Ro kills it with peas again. Feather adores him. ¡®They drop seeds. Go collect them and plant the seeds.¡¯ Ro points at the spider corpses. ¡®Yes sir!¡¯ Feather picks up a shovel nearby and digs holes, planting the seeds and covering it with the soil. Although the spiders are disgusting, the seeds are clean and fresh like a giant broad bean. Every time another spider crawls out, Ro rattles and kills it with a few peas. Feather keeps digging and planting one after another. Her hands are sore but she knows that she is bad at targeting and cannot reach the swinging spider. She is only capable of doing plain manual labor such as digging holes. The seeds grow quickly after absorbing the corpses. They soon become Fume-shrooms of meters tall, slowly spiting at the spiders. Fume-shrooms have spread across the soil and Ro doesn¡¯t have to deal with the spiders now. The spiders are killed even before they crawl out. ¡®Sir, are we safe now?¡¯ Feather leans on a Fume-shroom and enjoys her precious free time. ¡®The game just begins.¡¯ Feather hears this and is too excited to stay conscious. Ro checks her and concludes that she is too tired to stay awake. Ro takes her job and begins to plant Fume-shrooms. The bgm has been changed. The next wave is coming. Feather is sleeping like a snoring pig in a place full of spider corpses. Ro drags her body to a more hidden place so that she won¡¯t get her brain sucked empty by a spider when he is not paying attention. The spiders might be disappointed if they opened her brain. The second wave has iron bodywear so that Ro needs to double the time of shooting to kill one spider. Although shooting peas is like spiting saliva, doing this for a long time is tiresome. Another two players fall from the air. ¡®Dude, how do we play this game?¡¯ A fat Tall-Nut asks. A Snow Pea tries to shoot at the spider and successfully freezes them. ¡®Partner together.¡¯ Ro and the Snow Pea look at each other and come to an agreement. They both ignore the useless Tall-Nut for now. Tall-Nut has his own pride as well. He hides under a Fume-Shroom and observes how the Peas fight. This wave is harder than the previous wave. It took them nearly two hours to finish all the spiders. ¡®Isn¡¯t this a doll catcher machine?¡¯ A calm female voice comes from the Snow Pea. ¡®I know right? ¡¡¡¯ Feather wakes up with her shovel in her arms. She is stunned at how many seeds there are on the ground. ¡®We shall react according to the situation.¡¯ Ro takes away the shovel and puts it in Tall-Nut¡¯s hands. ¡®You dig. She places seeds.¡¯ ¡®Sure man.¡¯ Tall-Nut accepts without a second thought and begins to dig right away. Speaking of his voice, he might be a gentle middle-aged man. ¡®I am sorry, sir. I slept too long.¡¯ ¡®You are fine. Get to work now.¡¯ Ro asks Feather to help. Feather follows his order and picks up seeds as she jumps to the holes dug by the Tall-Nut. Neither of them has legs. They jump if they want to move. If the Tall-Nut wishes to move faster, he could choose to roll. ¡®I am Nakata. I have passed five games. In real life, I am just an ordinary salary man.¡¯ ¡®I am Ice Gu, a policewoman. I have passed six games.¡¯ ¡®If I could go back alive, I would tell my daughter¡¡¡¯ The Tall-Nut¡¯s speaking is stopped by Ro. ¡®Meaningless.¡¯ Ro looks indifferent. Another three players are upset after Ro¡¯s words. ¡®Usually a talk before a war like this will be a flag and leads to an ace of the enemies.¡¯ Ro explains. ¡®Sir, are we going to make it?¡¯ Feather looks at Ro with hope. ¡®Yes, we will.¡¯ New bgm comes. The seeds have grown into Chompers. Their mouths filled with pointed teeth, ready for the armed spiders. After being life-threatened by the roses in Kyas¡¯ Magic Castle, Feather feels secure when she sees these plants here. Yet, her job now is to place seeds in the holes dug by the Tall-Nut. She cannot spare her attention. New spawned spiders have armed legs as well. They will protect their belly with the legs if there is a pea coming at them. There are only two shooters and the players don¡¯t have enough attack against the spiders. The Chompers move. They swallow the spiders. Some swallow more and advance to their next stage, each has two heads. They finally pass this wave. A few Fume-Shrooms are eaten by the spiders. Holes are left in the ground, suitable for new seeds. ¡®I am so burned up¡¡¡¯ Ms. Snow Pea lies on the ground. ¡®Sir, can I help shooting as well?¡¯ Feather thinks herself as useless as a Pea shooter. ¡®Yes.¡¯ The progress bar is only at 33%. This time, the new seeds become Sunflowers. They spit sunlight out and do damage to the spiders and dazzle the eyes. ¡®Sir, I am going to upgrade soon.¡¯ Feather absorbs some sunlight and becomes a Repeater. ¡°Sunlight can upgrade us!¡± Everyone is energized by the Sunflowers. The next is Ro. He becomes a Regatling Pea. The Snow Pea gives up to not upgrade because if she did, she would lose the slowing ability. The Tall-Nut becomes a very fat Tall-Nut. ¡°You guys are the greatest players I have ever had! Congratulation I will send you a limited edition spider! Fighting!¡± A numb electric comment comes from the doll catcher machine along with a new bgm. Pink spiders whose size is two times bigger than the spiders in the previous wave crawl out. There is even a large pink bowknot on their back, but the savage roaring from them makes it hard for players to associate it with pink. They spin pink laced-cobwebs and slide down slowly. They have a mouth on the back and a mouth on the front and they can spin cobwebs from both directions. After their lower cobweb have reached the ground, they speed up the sliding. Ro breaks their lower cobwebs by shooting but the Snow Pea misses and breaks an upper cobweb. It falls on the ground. Falling doesn¡¯t hurt the spider because the spider is armed. Instead, it rushes straight toward Feather. ¡®I am sorry!¡¯ The Snow Pea seems to be guilty. Ro didn¡¯t respond and just shoots at the spider, but more spiders have had their lower cobwebs on the ground which forces Ro to let go of that spider on the ground. Feather still has the purple crystal necklace that Ro gave to her at the beginning. She should survive. ¡®Sir! Leave me alone!¡¯ Feather has been trying her best to jump faster, but she has no legsand the spider is catching up. If Ro didn¡¯t go back to shooting the cobwebs and slow down the swinging spiders, more spiders would have landed and all would be worse. She cannot drag the whole team down. Feather uses all her strength to shoot at that pink spider. The pink spider is slowing down but the distance between it and Feather is shortening. All other plants in its way have been grinded. The sunlight from Sunflowers erodes holes in the spider. They help a lot. As soon as the spider sees a sunflower, it will grind it to pieces. Sunflowers slow down the spiders greatly. chapter 10 The distance between Feather and the spider is close enough that even Feather can shoot the spider, but her pea is too weak for the spider. She tries to absorb as much sunlight as she can and to taunt the spider. All these plants were planted by her, and now they are torn up by the spider. Feather rattles at the spider. She succeeds and the spider goes after her now. It moves its eight legs chasing toward her, and its mouth opens and closes, making a cracking sound. Its saliva is dripping and corroding the soil. White smoke is rising from the corroded soil. Ro is busy with other spiders and cannot help. The Snow Pea cannot spare her attention either. A thread of cobweb shoots from its mouth and the Tall-Nut shields Feather, being pulled and grabbed by the spider. The crispy chewing sound of the spider eating the Tall-Nut makes her hate herself for being useless. ¡®This is my duty as a Tall-Nut.¡¯ The cowardly Mr. Tall-Nut tries to comfort her with a smile. Feather cries and shoots peas at the spider. From her voice, she is still a kid. Her future path will be longer than his. If he had worked out at the gym in the past and not become a fat middle-aged man, he would have been a useful shooter in the game. ¡°Puff¡ªPuff¡ª¡± Every time when a main character has reached an extreme emotional stage, that character will somehow advance. This theory also applies to Feather and she puffs out a fire pea. The fire peas carry the heat of sunlight and a long string of fire peas hit hard on the spider. Half of the Tall-Nut has gone. What bleeds out is not nut chunks but human blood. ¡®Sorry, sorry, I transformed too late¡¡¡¯ Feather keeps apologizing and tries to melt her sunlight into the Tall-Nut¡¯s body. ¡®You must go back to the living world safely¡¡¡¯ The Tall-Nut speaks gently and he turns into a pile of mud even before he could finish his words. The spider that is chasing Feather collapses on the soil. Its body is on fire and its limbs are shaking. Feather puffs more fire peas out and uses her shovel to hit the spider until it stops moving and is absorbed by nearby plants. Then she sobs and begins to puff at the spiders in the air. All cobwebs attached to the ground are burned and broken by Feather¡¯s fire peas. Feather is helping Ro a lot. ¡®Shoot at it!¡¯ Ro suddenly pushes the Snow Pea away and Feather puffs her fire peas at the Snow Pea. ¡°Dumb humans, you have annoyed m¡ª¡± The Snow Pea¡¯s body bursts and a giant black armored spider crawls out. It swiftly evades Feather¡¯s fire peas and destroys the sunflowers. ¡°The Pretender has gone wild. Good luck!¡± The progress bar suddenly moves forward and now it is at 66%. Ro has absorbed enough sunlight and advances to a Threegatlingpeater. When he targets with Feather, they can kill one spider instantly. ¡°Sunder armor talisman paper¡ª¡± Facing against the devouring black armored spider Pretender, Ro finally uses his own method. ¡°This is against the rule¡ª¡± The invincible Pretender is furious and roars his last words of complaining. ¡®Ha.¡¯ Ro scoffs. How to be stronger without paying? I buy to win. Feather fights alongside Ro at the limited edition of cute spiders. They combine their targets and clear the wave quickly. Although the plants are half dead now, they replenish their health by absorbing the spider corpses. Most Fume-Shrooms are fragile and are one-shot by the spiders. A lot of the Chompers are snapped as well. More than half of the sunflowers are gone. The rest of the Chompers have advanced along the game and grow their mouth sharper. Sunflowers grow to have two disks, supplying the sunlight to Ro and Feather. If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. The Fume-Shrooms don¡¯t have any more advancement to go. They seem to be powerful but they will stop puffing when the spiders get close to them. Feather¡¯s throat is in pain as if a fire just burned her throat. She couldn¡¯t talk much. ¡®Sorry.¡¯ Ro regrets that he didn¡¯t save the Tall-Nut on time. Feather shakes her head. ¡°The ultimate spider king is coming¡ª¡± ¡°Are you ready?¡± ¡°3¡ª¡± ¡°2-¡± ¡°1¡± The bgm is fancy at this time and greatly boosts the power of Ro and Feather. A thick spider leg comes out of the hole in the ceiling. Its body is too big to go through the hole. In fact, it tries and is stuck in the hole. It doesn¡¯t look like a spider. Its whole body is made of metal full of reflective thorns. It stretches its thorns and the hole collapses. Lots of metal chunks fall from the ceiling and smash the ground causing bumps and hollows. It slides down lazily along its bucket-thick cobweb. It is just too big. Ro and Feather together aren¡¯t even bigger than a thorn on its legs. Shooting peas might break a thorn or two. Compared to the first wave, the advancing difficulty is like when your teacher taught you how to make arrows and the next day he asked you to shoot down a satellite. Feather is stunned at how big the king spider is. A drop of its saliva drips in front of her and corrodes a hole on the soil which is large enough to put three Feathers in it. Ro begins to search for useful tools in his space storage. Black dog blood, pass. Costume pack, pass. Chinese medicines, pass. ¡¡ These might be useful here. Lava bursting talisman paper, Sunder armor talisman paper, Thunders of night skies talisman paper (not recommended)¡¡ ¡®Go dig a hole and bury yourself.¡¯ Feather¡¯s mind has lost the ability to think and she just does what Ro tells her to do. ¡®Sir, I dug one hole for you as well. We can lie together.¡¯ Ro will not die easily. ¡®You go first. Dig it deeper.¡¯ Feather jumps in the hole and digs it more. Digging for Feather is an easy job. She has dug so many holes on the ground in the previous waves. Now, Fea¡¤prairie dog¡¤ther is digging an underground tunnel. The king spider has slowly landed. It is so big that it moves in a delay from Ro¡¯s perspective. Ro pastes a total of more than 10 of Lava bursting talisman paper and Sunder armor talisman paper on it. I should have bought more of these attack talisman papers. My speed talisman paper and stealth talisman paper are useless here. Thunders of nine skies talisman paper has a thunder of the void sealed in it. It has a burst and AOE damage. Most users cannot get out from its range fast enough. Even if Feather digs an underground tunnel, she cannot evade the aftershock. Ro as a ghost will receive more damage from thunder than Feather. Such a talisman paper is a total party kill for all. Ro decides to use it because Feather has the purple crystal necklace still. She probably will not die instantly. Ro can bring her back to life as long as she doesn¡¯t die at once. He pinches a stack of guardian talisman papers in his pocket and hopes these will save his life from the thunder. ¡®Go!¡¯ Ro casts the talisman paper paste on the king spider. It is causing sparkling fire on the king spider. It roars angrily and the space is shaking. Feather underground is buried by the falling mud. Luckily that a pea will not get suffocated underground, but the shadow of death is still hanging over her. She cannot calm herself at all. Mr. Clown hasn¡¯t got into the tunnel yet. She doesn¡¯t want to die alone. Of course, if he came down, she didn¡¯t want to die either. The king spider is smoking but the previous talisman paper didn¡¯t hurt it. Its eight large eyes are staring at Ro. ¡®Do you want to know the truth of life?¡¯ Ro pretends to be calm. The king spider approaches him and opens its mouth. It is very willing to let this Threegatlingpeater demonstrate what the truth of life is in its stomach. A Thunder of nine skies talisman paper is tucked into its mouth. It swallows it without a second thought. ¡®¡¡¡¯ It coughs out white smokes and all its eyes begin to roll. Its body is glinting purple thunder lights. The king spider begins to convulse. Ro catches this chance and jumps into the tunnel, trying to run deep as fast as he can. ¡°Bang¡ª¡± The sound of an explosion comes from above as if something is breaking the earth and the sky. Ro quickly uses all his Guardian talisman papers and they become a thick golden shield around him. The outer layer is broken by the purple thunder. The middle layer is fighting against the thunder. The inner layer remains safe. Amitabha, the boundless Buddha, wish me great luck. Ro thanks the Guardian talisman paper sincerely. Feather closes her eyes. The purple crystal cross necklace on her neck shines prettily and protects her. When the second wave of aftershock comes, the purple crystal has a fissure inside. Feather is still safe. She opens her eyes and looks at the purple aura around her as she clenches the cross on her neck. Please hear my words. I am willing to sacrifice all I have for your pity on Mr. Clown¡¡ All the Guardian talisman papers have broken. Ro feels the electricity going through his whole body. This body is going to go bad soon anyway; the thunder is just accelerating the process. Everything is finally set. Feather is not hurt. She hears nothing from outside and begins to dig up. She is afraid that Ro died in the battle against the king spider. ¡®Sir?¡¯ Ro is covered by mud and he convulses as if he had Parkinsons. ¡®Sir, are you okay?¡¯ She tries to pull Ro but the electricity flows to her and she trembles and withdraws her hands immediately. ¡®It is just the leftover electricity in my body.¡¯ Ro tries to look cool as he crawls out trembling. Feather thinks she should stay serious but she really wants to laugh at Ro right now. An afro style head and black face ThreegatlingPeater is trying to dig himself out from the ground. Ro as a clown finally amuses the audience. They stand on the ground and look at the desolation. Cracks are everywhere. King spider no wonder is a king spider. Its body didn¡¯t get turned into ash by the thunder. There is some leftover on the ground. The eight large eyeballs are there. Ro puts them in his space storage. Feather also picks some broken bones and a seed on the ground. It should be a drop from the king spider. The seed sparkles thunder light and Ro is shocked by the electricity of it but still he manages to tuck it in his small and almost full, space storage. They wait for a while and nothing happens. Ro decides to climb up along the wall with Feather. They are both peas and not suitable for climbing that they sometimes slide down out of their will. They see a large empty room on the top with piles of skeletons and human-shape cocoons. The stomach area of the cocoons bulges. The remaining spiders in the room are all shocked to black corpses. Some cocoons are broken, and there are some little spider corpses lying on the stomach area. Feather moves her eyes away from the scene. They continue to climb and finally manage to climb out of the doll catcher machine. They transform back to human figures and fall in front of the machine. The reverse side of the ticket has become 8/10. The glass windows of the doll catcher machine have turned dark. There is no doll left in the machine. A label taped on the windows says: ¡°Under maintenance. Not operating.¡± chapter 11 ¡®This one is a 4 star game. Can we go play easier games of 3 stars or less?¡¯ Feather¡¯s lost her normal voice. She sounds low, soft, and powerless, but she looks braver and firmer than she did at the beginning. ¡®The difficulty of games is irreversible. It would be always from easy to difficult no matter how many stars it has. Your next game is always harder than the previous game.¡¯ ¡®If we pick a low star game right now, it will not be easier than a high star game.¡¯ ¡®For example, if we picked the doll catcher machine, the king spider would have come out. Do you get it?¡¯ Ro doesn¡¯t feel well about his throat either. He sounds low as well, and gentle. ¡®Sir, where shall we go then?¡¯ ¡®We have many 5 star games to be picked such as Adventure in the Corpse City, Mirror Maze, Desert Tomb, and Survival Island. Which one do you want?¡¯ ¡®What do you recommend for me to play?¡¯ ¡®In Adventure in the Corpse City, you need to find all the parts of the same person. If you don¡¯t have much knowledge about the human body, I don¡¯t suggest you to play this.¡¯ ¡®In Mirror Maze, you find the ghost mirror.¡¯ ¡®In Desert Tomb, you need to survive for 3 days.¡¯ ¡®In Survival Island, you need to kill six types of exotic animals or plants.¡¯ ¡®We don¡¯t have much time left.¡¯ The sky is turning grey. The Abyss Amusement Park has daytime as well. When daytime comes, everything will stop running and the living people here will be locked here forever. Some people didn¡¯t manage to get out fast enough and couldn¡¯t leave. They had good survival abilities and could bribe the ghosts to get some food and water for them. They lived well here but they had a shorter lifespan. Feather has parents and her own life. She cannot stay here. ¡®We will go to Mirror Maze.¡¯ Feather speaks and finds Ro is amazed. ¡®I trust Mr. Clown.¡¯ Ro gives her a smile in return. They walk backward and stand in front of the Mirror Maze again. They see a wall of black stones and there are some broken mirror pieces together forming the letters of Mirror Maze. It must be old, some mirrors are missing. By looking outside into the door, there is nothing but darkness. No wind. It is like a giant eye quietly peering at them. ¡®Sir, can you hold my hand?¡¯ ¡®No.¡¯ Feather is a little scared to get lost in such a dark place. Ro ties together the red threads on his hand and her hand. Within a certain range, the thread is able to stretch and connect them. Feather holds the red thread and follows after Ro. Sound is forbidden here. Even if she talks, there will be no voice coming from her. Footsteps cannot be heard either. She doesn¡¯t dare to let go of the red thread even though the thread will not fall from her wrist. She is willing to hold Mr. Clown¡¯s limbs even if his body is cold. She misses his legs. Yet, in a silent atmosphere like this, she hesitates to touch his hand and doesn¡¯t do anything except walking and holding the red thread. Ro is not trying to avoid her, but he knows that everything in the Mirror Maze might be fake. Senses can be fooled as well.If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. If Feather thinks she is holding his hand, she could have loosened her hand unconsciously and goes on holding hands of other ghosts here, being caught into a deeper illusion. This place does have some lights. There is a candle every once a while on the wall. Every candle is burning on its end. The guttering of the candles twists into human face features. Ro has nothing in his mind, not even himself. Maybe he has too much going on that the mirrors are unable to show them. In Feather¡¯s eyes, every mirror here shows her and Mr. Clown. The reflections move as they move as if they are all normal mirrors. The lights are dim. The mirrors reflect and amplify these dim lights so that she can see herself clearly in the mirrors. She sees herself looking pale, and the cherry juice on her dress has dried. It looks like solidified blood stains. The mirrors don¡¯t have her lower body. The candles aren¡¯t enough to light her all. Her lower body is in darkness and the path is not clear either. The red thread is still there. Feather is not too flustered. A cold wind comes from nowhere and she rubs her arms. While she is not paying attention, she stumbles on an unknown thing on the ground. She screams and falls heavily on the ground. As a result of the feature here, there is no sound being heard as if there was a giant monster that eats away all the sound. It hurts. It probably broke her knee skin. What scares her most is not the dimmer lights but the missing Mr. Clown. Both paths ahead and behind have disappeared. ¡®Sir!¡¯ Her voice is not heard by anyone including herself. The red thread is still here, stretching to a dark void. She traces the red thread and touches a mirror in the darkness. The red thread goes into the mirror. She sees herself in the mirror, touching the end of the red thread. Is he in the mirror? In Ro¡¯s eyes, Feather stumbles on her own foot and falls. Then she touches the air as if she was doing a dumb show. She is lost in the Mirror Maze but she didn¡¯t know. She knows a way to test if the mirror has a solid core by putting a finger on it. If the finger tip perfectly matches the reflected one, then this mirror is empty inside and if there is someone behind the mirror, he can see Feather. If the finger tips don¡¯t match perfectly, then this mirror has a solid core and the person behind the mirror cannot see Feather. Feather points toward the mirror at the red thread. The Feather in the mirror also points her finger toward Feather. The mirror is extremely cold. Feather looks up and sees the reflected self giving her a charming but strange smile. Feather is scared and retreats until she reaches a mirror on her back. The mirror on her back is not that cold. Now, every mirror has a scared Feather on it as if the smile was just an illusion. They look all the same. She didn¡¯t get to test the mirror and has to try it again. She doesn¡¯t know which one has the ghost that she decides to use the dumb way to see if there is a difference between these mirrors. She has tried all mirrors. Every mirror has a solid core. Every reflection has a distance between it and Feather. Which one is the ghost mirror? The mirrors are moving toward Feather as if the reflections are besieging her. Finally the mirrors form together seamlessly into a decagon. No matter where she looks, her limbs will come into contact with a mirror. Sometimes she touches a mirror carelessly and it feels like touching a corpse. The ground is still in darkness and leaking some unknown liquid out. Feather looks down and squats to figure out what it is. The reflection in front of her doesn¡¯t look down. It looks at Feather with a bizarre smile. In Ro¡¯s eyes, Feather is surrounded by ten medium size mirrors. Her facial expressions switch between scared and calm like a caged bird being alarmed by a sudden change in the surroundings. It is not the right time yet. Ro sits down and watches Feather circling in the mirrors. The ghost can change its mirror. If Ro breaks one mirror, Feather will die. They need to wait until the ghost is relaxed so that they can find it and break it. In this game, Ro cannot help her as much. She needs to figure it out by herself. It is normal for an ordinary teenage girl to be fooled by the mirror ghost. She just needs to wait until the ghost is overconfident. He cannot tell this to Feather because the mirror ghost will know it easily from her. Wind blows her ears from behind. She turns around and sees the reflection smiling at her vividly and blowing air at her. She looks like a normal girl. Is this mirror the right one to break? Feather doesn¡¯t dare to act. Other mirrors are weird as well. She cannot decide which one to break. ¡®Why don¡¯t you act?¡¯ She looks at her reflection and figures out the lip language. Suddenly, all the reflections paste to the mirror and their facial features are pressed and deformed. They all speak at Feather, ¡®Why don¡¯t you act!¡¯ Feather is mad at them and the voices go into her head directly. She has a headache and wants to smash her own head on the ground. Yet, she doesn¡¯t dare to break the mirrors. A reflection¡¯s face skin is peeled off slowly. Another reflection¡¯s eyeballs are dug out. Her face looks miserable and twisted while the lip language is saying, ¡®Help me.¡¯ Other mirrors are similar. There are sawed reflection, boiled reflection, chewed reflection, dismembered reflection¡¡ They are Feather¡¯s reflection dying in the mirrors. If they were like a real horror movie, Feather could force herself and just endure watching it. However, the feelings of being killed also come to Feather. A synchronization of pain. In a silent maze, Feather hears the sound of a chainsaw. From where the sound comes, she feels that part of her body is sawed, including her bones. Skin peeling, chewing, boiling¡¡ She treats this as a visual reality of 100% pain game and endures it. If this was real, Mr. Clown would have saved me. He didn¡¯t show up, so all these are unreal. Feather thinks to comfort herself. A cold hand raises her head. Someone blows at her ears. ¡®Girl, you are tough.¡¯ Someone¡¯s soft long hair falls on Feather¡¯s neck. It has a mournful fragrance. Feather is not horrified now. She looks back but sees nothing but her corpses in the mirrors. ¡®Who are you?¡¯ Feather hears her own voice resonating. Quiet. A puff of grey smoke comes from nowhere and covers the mirrors as if the corpses have grown white hairs. Feather hypnotizes herself that these are all movie props. Mr. Clown¡¯s words are always correct. She will find the real ghost mirror. chapter 12 ¡®Do you want to catch me?¡¯ Mirrors speak. Feather looks around and every mirror is repeating these words. ¡®Can you find yourself?¡¯ ¡®Is the world you are living in real?¡¯ Feather doesn¡¯t answer. All these questions are meaningless. A mirror¡¯s white smoke cover fades. Feather and other club members including her ex-boyfriend were searching and collecting items at a supernatural place. They are never the first ones to come. The government has a special group dealing with supernatural incidents. If there is a murder, it is usually a man-made crime. People who got involved into a supernatural incident will disappear and others¡¯ memories about the missing people will be gone. At Feather¡¯s level, she and other students don¡¯t have a way to know firsthand information. ¡®Feather, if I need to go through the information input this time, I don¡¯t have time for my term paper.¡¯ Feather¡¯s ex-boyfriend looks worried. ¡®I can do the information input for you. You are welcome.¡¯ Feather was very considerate. ¡®¡¡Thank you.¡¯ He gave an embarrassed but polite smile. When they were busy doing their job at the place, no one noticed that female head stuck out from the ceiling. She stared at him and licked her finger as she was very hungry. A member of the club saw her and she disappeared after a blink. No other member realized it. Feather looks at the mirror. It is her very recent club activity. There was a haunted abandoned classroom building in a nearby university. They sneaked in during a holiday to investigate. It was a little cold at that time but they didn¡¯t find anything. They didn¡¯t find the list of missing students or any witness. They just took photos here and tried to find something from the photos. There was nothing else they could do. She didn¡¯t see the woman on the ceiling when she appeared. She just felt her back a little cold and thought the night had cold winds. Now from this mirror, Feather somehow believes that there was really a female ghost. That member who saw her was sick after the activity. Then he resigned from the club without giving any excuse. The time matches well. The mirror also shows her something else she didn¡¯t know. For example, her ex-boyfriend was on a bed with a charming sexy lady having sex. Feather even called him during that time and asked him why he sounded strange. He told her that he was sick. Feather didn¡¯t doubt him but she felt weird. Now she understands it clearly. She wouldn¡¯t have been so calm if the sexy lady didn¡¯t look exactly the same as the female ghost. Maybe she has got used to seeing sex in any situation in Kyas¡¯ Magic Castle. Even when he was hanging out with Feather, the female ghost was attaching to his back as her arms stretched straight on his shoulders. No wonder his face was blue and he couldn¡¯t walk properly. His energy was drained out by the female ghost. He even prevaricated with her that he studied too hard. ¡®He betrayed you.¡¯ ¡®What Age is today¡¯s? We can date if we like each other. We can break up if we don¡¯t like each other anymore. There is no betrayal or such.¡¯ The mirror ghost thinks she is right. Has the outside world changed so radically? The mirror ghost shows her these for a long time and Feather watches it like watching a movie without getting too emotional. The mirror ghost feels embarrassed. If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. Are they a normal couple? She even cheers when she sees her ex-boyfriend having sex with another lady. The mirror ghost doesn¡¯t know what to show her. This mirror ends and pauses at the scene when her ex-boyfriend refused to go to this amusement park with her. Feather¡¯s nerves are touched by this scene. It would be awesome if he brought the female ghost here. How exciting it would be. The second mirror shows her parents. When they first entered the scene, they crawled out from the corpse heaps in a war during the early 20th century. We are not sure about what they have eaten but they came back alive. They looked just like an ordinary living person but they stayed young and did not get sick. They didn¡¯t have other friends and they chose to get married after staying together for a long time. When her dad accidentally cut his finger when he was peeling an apple for her, there was no liquid blood flowing out but only solid blood like a guttering of a candle. Feather didn¡¯t notice it and he went back to the kitchen and used a lighter and melted the solid blood. Then he pastes everything back to a normal position. The corners of Feather¡¯s mouth cramp after seeing this. It is true that she didn¡¯t notice such strange things of her parents such as that they never aged for years. They never got sick, not even a cold. They never went to a hospital for a health examination. The Whites didn¡¯t have the ability to have children, but they wanted a child. At the same time, they didn¡¯t want the child to discover that they weren¡¯t living people. In order to hide their identity, they pretend to be normal and move constantly. For most of the time, they chose distant villages. Every time they moved, they had to pay a lot to the illegal identity traders. Luckily, they both looked common and around 30ish so that they didn¡¯t stand out among people. Feather was born in a small village. Her real parents were unknown and she was left in a mass grave because she was a girl. The Whites didn¡¯t have a child so they brought her back. They didn¡¯t think the village was good enough to raise her so they moved to a big city and lived low key. It was their first time raising a child. Her childhood was in a muddle. The good thing was that Feather didn¡¯t cry, even if they accidentally dropped her on the ground. The three beings lived well together. When she was just a few months old, the Whites kept a goat and fed her with goat¡¯s milk. She had bad diarrhea after having goat¡¯s milk and was in a state of prostration. Mr. White finally overcame his fear of hospitals and took her to see the doctors¡¡ One time, Mr. White was riding a bike while Mrs. White was sitting behind with Feather in her arms. They ran into an accident that they both fell and Feather was thrown into the air because Mrs. White lost hold. Feather was giggling in the air and fell onto a tree. ¡¡ Many events have been shown by the mirrors. Feather¡¯s vitality is astonishing. ¡®Aren¡¯t you afraid? These two monsters are staring at you days and nights.¡¯ Feather shows great affection towards them at the second mirror. The mirror ghost thinks Feather doesn¡¯t follow the right development. The scene pauses at the night before she left home for the Abyss Amusement Park. Her parents told her to bring a charge pal if she decided to go out at night. They would worry about her if they could not reach her. Did they know that I bought the tickets to the Abyss Amusement Park? Feather¡¯s cell phone has been lost somewhere here. It is probably broken into pieces and has become a poop of the monsters here. If it was still with her, it is true that it would have been dead without a charge pal. The third mirror shows. It was that village where Feather was found. The Whites didn¡¯t need to eat human food and they pretended to eat in front of Feather daily. They didn¡¯t care what others ate either. This mirror is showing a funny scene. All the people in that village were digging mud in a mass grave area. They were happy to find crimson mud and they put that mud in their baskets. At the end of the day, they brought the baskets back and mixed the mud with water, making crimson mud balls and eating them. ¡®Are you really human?¡¯ The mirror ghost sees such a scene for the first time in its life. Wtf is this? ¡®Probably¡¡yes.¡¯ At least Feather doesn¡¯t find these mud balls appetizing. The fourth mirror tells how Feather was born and left. A woman died in a difficult labor when Feather was still in her womb. The mud-eating village found her corpse and sensed a life in her womb so they managed to get Feather out and put her on the daily routine of the Whites. They knew that the Whites were still better at raising a child even though they didn¡¯t seem to be normal either. ¡®You are a monster.¡¯ ¡®Something from a dead person¡¯s womb.¡¯ Feather rubs her gooseflesh. What can she do? If the mirror is telling the truth, then her real mother is dead already. The mud-eating village saved her life but they dug her mother¡¯s grave. She doesn¡¯t want to trace her origin at all. The fifth mirror reflects Feather¡¯s close friend, her consultant in the club. She was a fiction fan and always wore a pair of glasses with her tall pony tail. Because Feather didn¡¯t know her own birth, her friend couldn¡¯t predict her future. Her friend had predicted the future for everyone in the class except Feather and they became friends. The mirror shows that her friend is actually a fortune teller in the government¡¯s special group. She would tell Feather which supernatural places there were after the special group had cleared it. Those places were all cleared and Feather didn¡¯t find anything. ¡®See, she played you and fooled you. Aren¡¯t you mad?¡¯ ¡®No, I am not mad.¡¯ Feather rests her chin on her hands. She feels sleepy. The mirror ghost wants to break itself. This girl is so annoying. Wtf is she? The sixth mirror shows Feather¡¯s university. There are locked classroom buildings, girls who died from rapes, floors of evil, the stolen chance for Feather to go to a better school¡¡ Feather finally falls asleep. People live for themselves. Why would she get mad? Feather doesn¡¯t have a favorite thing. She doesn¡¯t care about power or love. She chooses to let them go and just lives. These are all temporary sufferings. She unconsciously and cluelessly chases after what she wanted to know the most. The seventh mirror is a confused Feather. She was thinking about the true meaning of life and didn¡¯t get an answer so she jumped from a building. Feather doesn¡¯t overthink on such a topic because she finds it boring. ¡®You are dead already. All you have experienced are just your illusions.¡¯ ¡®Yeah I think so too.¡¯ Feather doesn¡¯t care and chimes with the mirror ghost. The red thread is still on her wrist. Ro sees that Feather¡¯s status is well and praises her in his mind. This game will be a piece of cake for her. chapter 13 The eighth mirror shows the real father of Feather. He was a rich middle-aged guy who livedby selling antiques. He was pushing and pulling on a young woman while his beer belly was shaking. Maybe selling antiques had brought him negative karma; all the children born from his women were not his children. Fortunately, he didn¡¯t know this yet. ¡®If you want, he will know you immediately and you will live a rich life. Everything in your life will be changed.¡¯ ¡®Great, next please.¡¯ Feather is not interested in her real father. He is just a stranger to her. He is not even as important as the woman who sells Chinese savior crepe near Feather¡¯s home. At least her Chinese savior crepe comforts her stomach every morning. The ninth mirror shows a popular idol. He has lots of female fans and is rich. He used to be Feather¡¯s classmate and promised to marry her in the future. ¡®Isn¡¯t he Aiguo Li?¡¯ ¡®He has changed his name to Yao Yin after he became an idol. He has been looking for you.¡¯ ¡®He must have had plastic surgery. He looks sissy.¡¯ Feather picks at him. The mirror ghost doesn¡¯t know what else it can say. The tenth mirror. Feather was still little and the Whites just moved to the big city. They lived in a poor neighborhood just like rural families who came to a big city unobtrusively. Mr. White sold fresh vegetables on the street while Mrs. White worked as a cashier in a nearby supermarket. Feather was either in kindergarten or playing with other kids in the neighborhood. The Whites didn¡¯t know much about raising a child. Feather was skinny and looked unhealthy when she was around 5 and 6. She didn¡¯t like to eat and looked sallow. Only her eyes were attractive, black and shiny. She was a bit slow and the other girls didn¡¯t like to play with her. A boy around grade 1 or 2 lived in the upper floor of her home. He seldom played with other kids. He was always the No.1 student in his class and had full score on tests. He was the typical model for other kids. Feather didn¡¯t want to be a follower of other girls either. Yet she didn¡¯t want to tell her troubles to her parents. She also wanted to save her face that she refused to tell anyone about being isolated. In order to solve this dilemma, she began to observe him secretly. Every afternoon, he went back to his home and never came out again until the next morning. He didn¡¯t play with the other kids either. Finally, one day, Feather stopped him and asked him what it was like to go to an elementary school, about teachers and homework load. He didn¡¯t like to talk and had no friends, but he was polite. He answered her questions patiently and invited Feather to eat fruits with him at home. They became friends. Feather didn¡¯t like to study and her handwriting was bullshit. She had terrible performance on tests and he worried about her. He decided to lure her with games. Every time Feather finished a page of problems, he would play with her for half an hour. The problems were easy math¡¯s problems within number 10. Feather couldn¡¯t calculate these in her mind, she had to use her fingers and count for a long time. If he gave numbers over 10, she couldn¡¯t count with her two hands and would cry. They played silly child games which were learned from other kids. Sometimes he taught Feather to play Five-in-a-row. Feather was too dumb. He won every time within ten chess pieces. He would let her win sometimes so that she was happy. He had more patience and was more used to her. Feather was polite and called him brother. He called her Feather but his parents called her little Feather and usually asked her to stay for dinner.Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation. When Feather went to elementary school, he would go back home with her after school. It¡¯s been so long that she hasn¡¯t gained weight. Her school backpack has a few textbooks, workbooks, homework, a bowl, a water bottle, a metal pencil case, colorful pens and other stuff. It is quite heavy for her. He weighed her pink Barbie backpack in his hands and carried it on his chest. He had two backpacks. One on the chest and one on the back, just like a turtle in a cartoon. Some called him turtle at school and he didn¡¯t mind it. He still helped Feather carry her backpack no matter what. Sometimes they would play on an empty playground nearby after dinner. There was an abandoned building with no doors or windows. It was their secret base. Rock, paper, scissors was their favorite game. The person who won could go up one stair step further. They would also draw pictures on the wall with chalks and write words like Feather and XX are friends forever. His parents joked that he didn¡¯t need to worry about his future marriage that he had found a child bride at this young age. He didn¡¯t get mad and still tutored Feather how to do homework. On the other hand, Feather kept asking him what a child bride was. Since she was called his child bride, he shall be her child bride too. Feather asked that and was struck by a paper roll. She felt wronged and tried to touch her own head. Then she just kept on working on the problems. It was a normal cloudy day. Feather was playing rock, paper, scissors with him in the abandoned building. This building has four floors. They seldom reached the top and usually stopped at the third floor and went back to their homes. It suddenly rained heavily. A fierce gale sprang up. They decided to wait until the rain abated and played here for a while longer. This building had been abandoned for decades. No one moved in and it just corroded over time. The doors and the windows were stolen by random recyclers. The reason why it was abandoned was because that someone had died here. Its original residents had either died here or moved out. Not many remembered this building and wouldn¡¯t talk about it. People thought that children had great Yang (Ñô, the opposite of Yin; Yang means light/white/fire/positive) in their bodies that they could oppress the Yin here. A lot of kids played here so it wouldn¡¯t be a thing. Some parents worried but they only told their kids not to come here. The Whites had no base in the city and didn¡¯t chat with other families here. They didn¡¯t know such rumors. When playing rock, paper, scissors, Feather would unconsciously make a scissors. He would make a rock because he knew it. In the next run, Feather would make a paper. He would keep his rock. It was their secret agreement. Feather thought he was dumb that he always made a rock. He knew what she was thinking all the time, so he let her win every time. Feather felt satisfied when she won a lot. She would make a scissors when she wanted him to win. He would keep his rock as always. Feather felt accomplished and would feel she was giving him mercy. Brother is dumb when playing rock, paper, scissors. He only uses rock. It is boring to always win and stand ahead. I shall let him win and catch upto me. Feather was a head shorter than him. She liked to stand two steps ahead so that she could look at his cowlicks. She heard that people with two cowlicks were smart and she tried to make herself cowlicks as well. But no matter how hard she messed with her hair, she could only get one cowlick. Feather was disappointed and gave up trying to be smarter. At the end of the stairs, there was a wall. An old door was on the wall with no lock as if it could be opened by just a push. The building had no rooftop. Why would there be a door at the end of the stairs? What was behind the door? It was the only door in this building. Dark and wet. The color was amazingly attractive. ¡®The winner can open the door first!¡¯ The stair difference wasn¡¯t big. Usually Feather would win first and he would win after. They were getting closer to the door. Every floor had only twelve steps, but the fourth floor had thirteen steps. Why was there an additional step? The sky had got dark. It was quiet. The sound of rain had disappeared. ¡®Let¡¯s go back home.¡¯ He went up one stair and stood with Feather. ¡®Okay.¡¯ Feather didn¡¯t contradict him. They held hands together and walked downstairs. They had walked more than 40 steps but they couldn¡¯t reach the first floor. Feather looked back and saw the door right behind her. ¡®Brother.¡¯ She clenched her hands. ¡®Don¡¯t be afraid.¡¯ They walked and walked faster and began to run. But every time they looked back, the door was right behind them. ¡®Close your eyes.¡¯ He held Feather with one hand and touched the wall with the other hand, walking down slowly. If sight was cheating them, then the touch shall not lie to them. Feather closed her eyes as well. She was not afraid as long as he was here. He reached a woman¡¯s face. It was probably a head only. It was still warm. It had curly hair, open eyes, stopped breath, a pretty lip shape, and a stream of some liquid flowing from her mouth. Sticky and hot. ¡®Brother, what smell is this?¡¯ ¡®Nothing. Don¡¯t open your eyes.¡¯ He paused, and then kept on walking. This time, he reached a human leg. It shall be a man¡¯s leg. It had thick body hair. The cut was made from the groin area. The muscle had turned hard and rigid. ¡®Brother, when can we get home?¡¯ ¡®Soon.¡¯ He had touched a lot of things. He felt the liquid on his hand had solidified but he didn¡¯t stop walking down. He finally touched on Feather; Feather whose eyes closed and was quiet His feeling would not cheat him. This corpse was Feather. Her eyes, nose, mouth, face shape were exactly the same as Feather¡¯s. Even the mosquito bites were the same. He opened his eyes. The red wooden door was in front of him. The bright-red color on it was brighter. A small puddle of blood gushed out. ¡®Brother?¡¯ Feather¡¯s perturbed voice came to his ears. At the same time, he heard another voice. ¡®Come, and open the door.¡¯ ¡®One dies or both die here.¡¯ ¡®There is not much time left.¡¯ ¡®Come.¡¯ ¡®Let her open the door, and you can leave here.¡¯ The blood by the door was sticky and slow. Yet, it overflowed from the door, coming down, going to reach Feather. ¡®Little Feather, let¡¯s play rock, paper, scissors once more.¡¯ Feather opened her eyes and looked at him. She squinted a smile like a kitten to him. She didn¡¯t realize that they were still by the door. He didn¡¯t understand what death was. It was just a word in the dictionary. He decided to make it fair for both that they shall have a 50/50 chance for it. ¡®The winner can leave.¡¯ Feather nodded. He knew her inside and out. If she wanted to lose, she would make a scissors. If she wanted to win, she would make a paper. Feather thought she knew him as well that he only used rock. That was the only thing Feather knew. The game started. He made a paper. Feather made a scissors. How did she win? She looked confused. ¡®Brother?¡¯ Boundless blood had drowned the sight. chapter 14 The door that links the worlds of Yin and Yang needs a living person to open it. The person who pushes the door will enter the Yin world with ghosts. It is the set rules. Within the rules, everything abnormal will be corrected. No one can realize the bugs. The abandoned building which Feather liked to play in collapsed. She was buried under the rocks and bricks. Miraculously, she only had a minor injury. When she woke up, the Whites and she moved to a new place. The couple who lived on the upper floor at their previous neighborhood had twins. They had a son before but he died from a sickness at a very young age. If he was still alive, he would be two years older than Feather. ¡®Is this reality or illusion?¡¯ Feather is lost in the illusion. She sees the red door being pushed open and that prudent and calm boy was washed into that dark sky along with countless ghosts. She wants to pounce at this mirror to stop it. A clear and melodious breaking sound of the mirror is heard. The tenth mirror is broken. The mirror ghost screeches. Feather suddenly wakes up. ¡®Sir.¡¯ She sees Ro walking to her through the broken mirror frame. She is confused and doesn¡¯t know what happened. Ro was waiting for a long time and saw Feather was laughing and crying at the same mirror while she was trying to paste herself onto that mirror as if she wanted to enter the mirror as well. That¡¯s why Ro decided to break that mirror. In fact, this game is not that hard. Feather only shows great emotional change at that mirror. This has largely boosted Ro¡¯s confidence of finding the mirror ghost. ¡®We can get out now.¡¯ The mirror ghost was hiding in the tenth mirror. As soon as it can lure Feather into the mirror, it can take up her body. On the other hand, Feather will be sealed into the mirror and become the new mirror ghost here. Now the mirror has been broken and the mirror ghost is severely injured. It is no longer a threat to them. ¡®Were the mirrors reflecting truth?¡¯ ¡®They are all fake illusions.¡¯ Feather doesn¡¯t continue this conversation. It is her first time thinking Mr. Clown is lying to her. When she has exited the Mirror Maze, she has forgotten everything she saw from the mirrors. She was going to ask him something but she doesn¡¯t remember it anymore. Mr. Clown and what? ...... This feeling of having a temporary emptied memory is familiar. Feather doesn¡¯t go deeply into this and she feels happy when the reverse of the ticket says 9/10. ¡®Sir, what do we play for the last game?¡¯ ¡®We will watch a show.¡¯ Ro claps his hands. They are immediately transferred to another space. Here it looks like somewhere in an ordinary amusement park. There are colorful lights and a medium size auditorium. ¡®I am the owner here.¡¯ Ro is standing on the stage. Feather is sitting in the auditorium alone. ¡°The Clown¡¯s Performance: This clown¡¯s performance is not funny or serious. The worst game in the Abyss Amusement Park.¡± ¡°Difficulty: 1 star.¡± Feather rests her chin on her hands and watches Mr. Clown dedicatedly. After the Mirror Maze, Feather has extra trust in Mr. Clown from her deep mind. Although she also trusted him unconditionally in the past, she trusts him more now. She feels a sense of closeness of their relationship, as if she had known him for a long time. Ro first changes his red nose to a green nose, then to a yellow nose.Did you know this story is from Royal Road? Read the official version for free and support the author. He has no facial expression and is just seriously changing the colors of his nose. Feather is paying all her attention to him and keeps clapping. Ro feels embarrassed. It is time for the real power! Ro touches the air and scoops a large top hat. He puts it on his head and now he looks more decent. He bows at Feather and his clown costume has changed into a suitable suit. He has transformed from a clown to a gentleman in a second. Now he looks like a noble man from the old times and he just needs a walking cane. He still has the clown¡¯s makeup but that matches him well with the suit and the top hat. He takes out his other hand hiding behind and places it on his chest. There is a greenish lily flower in his hand. It smells fresh and clear. Just one step astride, he stands in front of Feather and puts the lily flower in her hands. ¡®Sir, you are so nice to me!¡¯ Ro goes back to the stage. He takes off his top hat. His yellow afro hair has become long smooth black hair. His slender hand is looking for something in the top hat. Feather is curious and expects something fun. A fat and big rabbit is picked by him. Its ears are pinched. ¡®Take this!¡¯ Feather trots to catch the rabbit and keeps it in her arms. It is a heavy, tame, and warm rabbit. It is a real living rabbit. Ro keeps searching in his top hat. He hasn¡¯t pulled out another thing and is stilling searching¡¡ Feather is nervous as well. Is he going to pluck another rabbit out? His hands have clear joints and are pale to nearly transparent. He plucks some balloons out. It is not a rabbit, but long and colorful balloons. Ro gently swings them and they are inflated after one swing like colorful French bread sticks. He folds a pink balloon into a crown shape and releases it. It flies to Feather and lands on top of her head. It has shrunk to a suitable size and transformed to a real pink crystal princess crown. It fits her well. Next is an orange balloon. Ro folds it into a dog shape and blows air into it. The balloon transforms into a cute doggy and it runs to Feather for petting. It wags its tail and licks her hands. A red and a white balloon are left. What will he do next? Feather¡¯s eyes are shiny and staring at his hands. Ro swiftly folds them into a red and white lollipop. He touches it from the top to the bottom and transforms it into a real lollipop. It is nearly as big as a washbasin. It smells dreamy sweet. It doesn¡¯t seem to be a cheap lollipop which will dye the tongue. It is made of sweet and soft strawberry and thick milk jelly. It has a pair of transparent wings and it flies to Feather¡¯s mouth. Feather bites it without thinking that this was balloon a second ago. She takes a large bite. The strawberry and the milk explode in her mouth and gives her a sweet critical strike. ¡®Sir¡¡this tastes so good¡¡¡¯ Feather speaks on and off and squints with a smile. Her eyes are attractive and innocent as if a candy is enough to kidnap her. When Feather finishes it, she feels full. The rabbit jumps down and runs to Ro. It enters the top hat with a swift jump. Ro shakes the top hat apologetically andplucks a golden rabbit out. ¡®Miss, is this golden rabbit yours?¡¯ Feather is honest. She shakes her head. Ro puts it back and picks up a silver rabbit. ¡®Miss, is this silver rabbit yours?¡¯ Feather shakes her head again. In the fairy tales, the story tells her that she should stay honest and can get all the axes. She thinks this theory also applies to the rabbit. However, this time Ro picks up a braised rabbit with a steaming aroma. Every piece of rabbit meat is braised with brown sauce. It has the color of braised rabbit. It is a little dark red. The fine and smooth muscle pattern depicts the rabbit bones under it. Feather is surprised and feels hungry. ¡®Sir, where is my rabbit?¡¯ ¡®Here.¡¯ Ro raises the plate. Feather¡¯s eyes are moving along the plate and she is afraid to see any of it being dropped. ¡®Sir, can I eat it?¡¯ Feather feels ashamed and blushes. ¡®Sure.¡¯ A table is established magically in front of Feather. The plate safely lands on the table. Ro does a finger snap and a bowl of steamed rice appears on the table with a pair of chopsticks. ¡®This is so great¡¡Aw¡¡¡¯ ¡®Tastes good!¡¯ ¡®So good!¡¯ Feather gulps at the rice with the braised rabbit and finishes all in a short time. She keeps praising the taste of the meat. How tender they are. How chewy they are. The mouthfeel is perfect and it is a good combo with rice. ¡®Are you full now?¡¯ ¡®Yes, sir.¡¯ Feather pats her belly relaxed. ¡®I have shown you what I know. Do you want to watch anything else?¡¯ ¡®I want to look at you real face.¡¯ ¡®Is it not okay?¡¯ Feather looks disappointed. She begins to apologize. ¡®Sorry, I just offended you.¡¯ ¡®You will see my face, but not now.¡¯ Ro pats her head. ¡®I want to be an actress in a popular show. Can I do it here?¡¯ Feather suddenly recalls her dream. Maybe she saw other kids playing play house and watched a romance drama of a prince and a princess so that she also wants a Mr. Right in a show. ¡®Ok.¡¯ Ro accepts. ¡®You play Juliet, and I will play Romeo.¡¯ Feather speaks while she is getting up onto the stage. ¡®Yes.¡¯ Ro responds in a low voice. The scene on the stage changed immediately. It is dark and old-fashioned. Gorgeous initiation starts and the European style background is uncovered. Feather is in a European male noble suit. She has refined features and looks like a handsome teenager. Ro is in a whale bone hoop skirt with his previous mask on. ¡®By whose direction found¡¯st thou this place?¡¯ Ro asks. This line comes from Act 2, Scene 2, Page 4 of Romeo and Juliet. Juliet is asking why Romeo risks his life and finds her place at midnight. This section is one of Feather¡¯s favorites. She has memorized the lines well and begins to recall the lines with a serious expression. ¡®By love, that first did prompt me to inquire. He lent me counsel and I lent him eyes.¡¯ Feather is shorter than Ro. She looks up into his mask and couldn¡¯thold back her tears. The emotion is strong and it comes from nowhere. His eyes look so familiar, as if he has been looking at her and guarding her for years. It is a kind of long-lasting companion of calm, rational, and restraint. He never wants to stay closer to her. Who is he? What was their relationship? Feather couldn¡¯t recall anything from her memory. The ticket was bought without extra trouble. The place was inquired ahead. ¡®I am no pilot. Yet, wert thou as far As that vast shore washed with the farthest sea, I would adventure for such merchandise.¡¯ Feather doesn¡¯t wipe her tears and keeps on speaking. Her voice is gentle and treasuring with deep feelings. Her rhinolalia almost melts these lines. She wanted to find him out so bad. Now, she cannot be sure that all her effort on investigating at supernatural areas is for this person standing here. ¡®Thou know¡¯st the mask of night is on my face, Else would a maiden blush bepaint my cheek For that which thou hast heard me speak tonight.¡¯ Ro speaks coolly. Feather chuckles. Mr. Clown is always looking cold. Sometimes he looks gentle, but for most of the time he is priming his clown face and his voice to enhance the horror level. How wonderful are these two lines¡ªthey don¡¯t sound cold at all. They sound like he is too shy to be open and pretend to not care. She can catch his unconscious shyness. Ro struggles between shy and ashamed. Acting in Romeo and Juliet is breaking his lower limit. Yet, for a girl of Feather¡¯s age, they usually will have a romantic dream like that. Ro has been through worlds and appreciates their encounter. He is willing to be a chunibyou to fulfill this cute little girl¡¯s dream. chapter 15 The End ¡®Dost thou love me? I know thou wilt say ¡°ay,¡± And I will take thy word. Yet if thou swear¡¯st Thou mayst prove false. At lovers'' perjuries, They say, Jove laughs.¡¯ Ro continues Juliet¡¯s lines. ¡®Sir, I love you. It might be very abrupt to say it.¡¯ This handsome young knight has given up her lines. She looks up at the masked Juliet with nothing but courage in her chest. ¡®Sir, I love you. I don¡¯t know from when but I cannot move my eyes away from you for even a second.¡¯ ¡®When you are not by my side, I wish I can use all that I have, including my life, to ensure your safety. I am willing to exchange it with my most precious thing.¡¯ ¡®I know it might sound dumb.¡¯ ¡®Did we know each other in the past?¡¯ Feather asks him and also asks herself. She is assured of the answer. Sorrow and grief fill her heart and eyes. She feels wronged and extreme sadness with the hottest love. These feelings ferment into a more complex feeling. ¡®Although Idon¡¯t have the memory any more, love will not trick me.¡¯ ¡®It is not falling in love at first sight. It is a meeting again after a long separation. A withered tree comes to life again.¡¯ ¡®My love to Sir is not a temporary love from a dumb girl to a superhero who saved her.¡¯ ¡®It is the only answer that as an adult I have been contemplating over and over. You are my only love for this life. My soul is strongly attracted to yours.¡¯ ¡®If my world has mountains, rivers, birds, animals, stars, and planets, they all go to you when you appear in my sight.¡¯ ¡®I won¡¯t fall in love with anyone else in my life with such a passion.¡¯ Feather¡¯s sparkling eyes reflect thousands of stars. Her love is a fervor and sincere. Ro sees a milky way and her oceanic emotions gathering in her eyes. A great momentum. Yet, Ro is not the original soul of the clown. He doesn¡¯t have a feeling for Feather to respond. The person who loves Feather with the same passion is gone. Their love is separated by Yin and Yang. ¡®I never expected to hear any response from Sir.¡¯ ¡®Please treat what I just said as casual greetings like how are you today.¡¯ ¡®Don¡¯t take it seriously.¡¯ ¡®I am dumb and impulsive. I don¡¯t think before I act. If Sir you feel unease, please accept my apology.¡¯ Feather gets down on one knee and hugs Ro¡¯s legs just like she did in the past like a little animal. ¡®Sorry.¡¯ Ro bends down and squats. He pats her head and comforts her. Feather buries herself in his arms and cries quietly. She has said what she wanted to say. She has showed what she feels. Why does she feel sad? Is he too cold? Is he too gentle that his rejection is so polite? His attitude is so clear that she knows she has no hope. ¡®Rock, paper, scissors. The winner can leave.¡¯ He wipes her tears and tells her the rule. ¡®Okay.¡¯ Feather feels this conversation is familiar and she feels sad as if someone is peeling her flesh from her heart. They show their hand shape at the same time. Ro makes a rock. Feather makes a paper. ¡®Why did you make a paper this time?¡¯ Ro knows that Feather liked to make scissors when she was little. He was thinking that this part might be the hardest to get her out. Feather is too stubborn. ¡®Because Sir you want me to go back.¡¯ She squats down and covers her face. Her tears are coming out again. She has lost control of herself and her nose is running as well. She doesn¡¯t look like what she just claimed as an adult. This novel is published on a different platform. Support the original author by finding the official source. Her voice goes from constrained weeping to a rage of tears. ¡®We are not going back anymore.¡¯ The progress bar has become 10/10. They exit the clown¡¯s stage. The sky is lit with red clouds. The sun hasn¡¯t fully risen. The Abyss Amusement Park rings out congratulatory music, loud and old-fashioned. Ro puts Kyas¡¯ pearl necklace around her neck. These opal pearls suit her delicate collarbone. The necklace had been on Kyas for a long time that it has a small effect of increasing lifespan and keeps the appearance of the user. Ro doesn¡¯t need this and he gives it to Feather as a gift. ¡®Congrats to this visitor!¡¯ A pleasing female voice is broadcasting the news among the amusement park. All the monsters and the ghosts fall into a carnival to celebrate for Feather. Feather holds Ro¡¯s sleeve and hesitates to enter the tunnel to the living world. ¡®Sir, will we meet again?¡¯ Ro doesn¡¯t talk. He takes off his mask. He has the elegant and handsome face of an eighteen or nineteen year old young man. He looks like the soft and gentle wind on the shore of an evening. He looks like a green plant growing on a window. He looks like the person in Feather¡¯s mind for years. ¡®Live like an ordinary person. Live well and long.¡¯ His voice is indifferent as usual. Maybe he has been through too much to show any softness at this time. ¡®Be happy.¡¯ Ro has finished what he has in his mind. He waves at Feather and meekly smiles at her. She takes away Ro¡¯s mask and looks back constantly when she is in the tunnel. Mr. Clown is still standing there every time she looks back. The female broadcasting voice appears. ¡°You are our first visitor who has passed 10 games. We can realize one wish of yours.¡± ¡®Can Mr. Clown go back with me?¡¯ ¡°No.¡± ¡®Let the Tall-Nut go back then.¡¯ ¡®Are you sure?¡¯ ¡®Yes.¡¯ Her sight becomes blurry. Her memory of the Abyss Amusement Park begins to fade. Feather wakes up in a hospital. People say that she has had a fever and delirium for three days. Her relatives and friends all worry about her. She feels her head is heavy as if someone had hammered it empty. The doctor says that she might lose some memory due to the fever. Feather agrees as well. If not, where did the purple crystal necklace, a pearl necklace, a weird mask, and a red thread come from? Oh, a ticket to an amusement park as well. Feather asks for a lighter from her dad who never smokes and burns the ticket and the red thread. Someone told her to do so. She just needs to follow the order. There is a fat middle-aged man who has similar symptoms as Feather¡¯s. He is lucky as well to survive and wants to invite Feather to dinner. Although the Whites didn¡¯t sense any malice from him, they reject him. ¡®Little Feather, your boyfriend is terrific.¡¯ Mrs. White whispers to Feather¡¯s ear. ¡®What¡¯s up? We have broken up for a long time.¡¯ ¡®Okay, your ex-boyfriend. Good to hear that you broke up. He messes around and has renal failure now.¡¯ Mrs. White speaks at a low voice. Feather chuckles with delight. ¡®Are you too mad?¡¯ Mrs. White touches Feather¡¯s head. ¡®I am not mad at all. I am just gloating.¡¯ Feather thinks she knew it already. She doesn¡¯t know why she has such feelings. ¡®You gotta pay more attention to who you are dating. Don¡¯t date a philandering man.¡¯ ¡®I know I know.¡¯ Feather hugs Mrs. White¡¯s arm lovingly. Mrs. White keeps her appearance well. She is already over forty but she looks like a twenty year old girl. Her skin is smooth and young. ¡®If you found someone, tell us first. Let us ask about him.¡¯ ¡®Okay okay! Mom is the best!¡¯ ¡®How about me?¡¯ Mr. White just finishes peeling an apple and stares at them. ¡®Okay okay! Dad is the best too!¡¯ After leaving the hospital, Feather disbands the club. Her best friend is shocked at how quick Feather can change from being the most active member to disbanding the club. She doesn¡¯t pay any more attention to supernatural things. ¡®Supernatural things don¡¯t fit in our Chinese communism.¡¯ Her best friend thinks there is no more supernatural thing than exams which have transformed Feather to a diligent student working hard in politics courses for a graduate school. Exams can turn a frivolous prodigal to a hard-working student and a lazy slacker into a learner who doesn¡¯t let go of the practice problems, a Feather to a certificate grinder. Feather¡¯s life is smooth. Her looks are getting charming as time passes. She doesn¡¯t look old when she gets older. One day, when she is working. She is informed that she has inherited a large amount of property. It seems to be from her real father. The Whites are afraid that Feather would leave them, but actually nothing else had happened. She donates half of the property and buys an island, planting banana, coconut, raising dolphins with her parents. They live a happy life. She doesn¡¯t want to let others discover that her parents don¡¯t age or she ages slowly and is lucky to survive in every car accident, electric shock, or murder. She doesn¡¯t have a boyfriend or marry. Her parents feel guilty that their existence disallows her to have a normal life but she is fine with it. When Feather dies, she has lived for a hundred years. Her day is ordinary and happy. It is a sunny afternoon. Feather lies on a beach chair on the shore. Mr. White is peeling fruits and Mrs. White picks up the fruit pieces with toothpick to feed her. Feather is old. Her parents are taking care of her. ¡®Take care, both of you. If I can have another life, I want to be your daughter again.¡¯ Feather clenches the purple crystal necklace and places the mask on her chest. She has tried many times to put the mask on but she can only recall a blurry side figure. ¡®I made it, Sir.¡¯ She closes her eyes and murmurs. A sweet smile is on her face. ¡®Ms. White! Welcome to our Abyss Amusement Park!¡¯ Feather opens her eyes and finds herself back to her young self again. A guide with a red cap is standing by the gate waving at her excitedly. ¡®You are our regular customer now. Today we have a special trip in the amusement park. You are so lucky!¡¯ The guide explains. Feather faintly recalls that maybe she has been here when she was young. She follows the guide without thinking much. She doesn¡¯t have time to react until she has sat on the roller coaster. Her instinct still tells her to shiver her legs. ¡®Relax, Ms. White. All our games have been reformed. They absolutely correspond to the Chinese central value. There is a parachute on your back. If anything happens, just press this button to enjoy the parachuting experience. Feather is dangled by the parachute and lands on the ground slowly. What kind of roller coaster is that? How exciting. It throws people into the air. Good thing that I have a parachute on my back. The next game is a Giant Stride. It looks normal except there are fists with boxing gloves on the ground. When the machine starts, the fists occasionally punch visitors¡¯ butts. Feather is looking at the croaking visitors and wishes those fists don¡¯t punch her. Yet, she is not touched. ¡®Why not punch her?¡¯ A fist asks another fist quietly. ¡®Didn¡¯t you see that mask in her hands? Her mask looks exactly the same as the mask with the Sir who enforced all these reformations!¡¯ ¡®Wow¡¡¡¯ Feather plays a few more games. She goes through Kyas¡¯ Magic Kitchen and is fed with horrible food. Kyas is excited to see her old friend Feather and makes her more food. Feather wants to vomit whenever she recalls the flavor. The castle which looked gorgeous in the past is charred by Kyas¡¯ kitchen smoke. Feather cannot tolerate it. The Doll Catcher Machine has become a normal machine. It is still evil and the catcher is loose enough to drop basically everything it just picked up. The Mirror Maze closes its entrance when Feather wants to enter. At the end, she enters the Clown¡¯s stage. What she sees is an empty stage and an empty auditorium. It¡¯s been too long that no one has entered here. A thick layer of dust can be seen on the floor. Quiet. Feather stands for a long time. Finally she takes off her mask and leaves it on the seat where she sat when she was young. ¡®Sir, I wish you well.¡¯
