《G.R.U.U.U.L》 ENTRY 002 ENTRY 002 The first day as the overseer of the newly built G.R.U.U headquarters begins. Every subject from the old base is being moved, each with a high detail security and prisons so as to not let them escape. Or, atleast, to keep them from being bored and leaving their prisons. The first subject, L-0082, primarily known as Eye, was a lone eyeball, floating casually within its green, glass prison. Listed as a mid level threat according to it¡¯s alphabetic code name, Eye was only the size of a golf ball as he floated within his prison. It is capable of enlarging to a size of approximately 35 feet tall and 10 feet wide within the blink of an eye, pun unintended. Able to communicate with humans made it more dangerous, whereas without intelligence would¡¯ve been placed lower and granted less extensie safety measures. Attempt to enlarge while in the glass would shatter the glass, leaving fragments of glass coated in poison that would kill subject L-0082 within a matter of seconds. Subject is aware of threat of death and is somewhat compliant when conducting :expirements. It¡¯s pupil was focused on me. The subject opened itself in half, revealing razor sharp teeth as it¡¯s attempts at taunting me proved futile. He was promptly placed within the 22nd floor, where the miniature cage he was in was placed in a 5x5 box of steel and watched constantly by surveillance cameras, armed personnel checking periodically through a slot on the 3 inch thick steel door. Debriefings for the smarter creatures in G.R.U.U.U.L more often than not leads them to being more compliant, sometimes reluctantly, sometimes gladly depending on the conditions we let them live in and what requests we allow. More subjects are coming, detailed entries similar to L-0082¡¯s will not be as common unless creatures of note act up or try to escape confinement. Subject A-4126, a rotund, orange slime roughly 8 feet wide and 3 feet tall. Capable of intelligence similar to that of a dog or a domestic creature. Attached personnel have taught it to obey human commands in the previous headquarters, and was deemed harmless after numerous weeks in captivity. Placed on the first floor, contained in a room sized glass box for observation. Body is composed of gel like substance and is sticky and very flammable . Advised to keep away from fire based entities Subject V-0168, a sentient, virulent and bloodborne pathogen that has predated the Medieval Ages. Controlling hosts similar to that of a hivemind [no correlation between Subject Z-0001 found] Captured by the previous Overseer, [DATA CORRUPTED], thousands of infected were slain to reduce the pathogen to the body of a raccoon in the year 17XX and is very capable of escaping if given the chance. Although one of the largest potential in terms of controlling/destroying the world, the time it takes to fully infect one person [around 3-6 months, depending on size and immune system] has nerfed it¡¯s ability to be a real threat if contained properly. Stored in the [classified] floor, it is isolated, stuck within a vial containing itself surrounded by cameras and numerous bombs and remotely controlled flame throwers within an airtight room with no entrance or exit. planted if the pathogen were to escape. Any living being is advised to stay away at all costs, preferably a distance of 30m away from the room the pathogen is within at all times. Any being infected is to be detained, terminated, and handled by personnel wearing hazmat suits according to Overseer H¡¯s protocol. While sentient, it is not capable of speech, and therefore unneeded to approach or communicate with. The last subject, B-0597, however, is not sentient at all. Subject B-0597 is a vending machine that is reported to have the ability to transport people ordering anything from itself to a random place. Reports originated from Greenland, where a pair of teens went missing for a period of 97 days after disappearing from surveillance cameras in the building, before being found in the slums of India. Other reports from personnel have occurred, such as Soldier Avery¡¯s corpse within L-0082¡¯s previous prison, despite Soldier Avery being stationed in a testing site for B-0597 that was hundreds of kilometres away. Only 3 other occurrences have happened where another person was transported to the old sites and headquarters of G.R.U.U.U.L. All 3 ended up dead, as they were all transported to numerous beings¡¯ cells that killed them in a matter of minutes. All are cautioned to stay away and to not use Subject B-0597 unless conducting an expirement. Important to note that not all locations transported to are lethal, but the amount of locations you can be transported to that is lethal is overwhelmingly common compared to the locations that are somewhat safe. [END ENTRY] ENTRY 003 ENTRY 003 Approximately two thirds of the subjects from the previous headquarters have been transported to the new one successfully and are accounted for. Subjects placed in different facilities were not moved, as special protocol is needed to interact with the subjects with their own facilities, let alone moving them to a new location. Few subjects attempted escape, but were handled immediately by the stronger agents available in our roster. One of the notable subjects that tried to escape is subject C-0892. A child¡¯s teddy bear, found after reports of squeaking noises in an abandoned house near [DATA REMOVED]. It has been shown to be made out of regular synthetic fur and cotton, yet still has the ability to move without the use of joints. Although not lethal or threatening in a physical manner, the effects it has on the human mind is remarkable. The constant squeaking has shown to be detrimental to any personnel¡¯s mental health, shown to induce depression, paranoia and unease after copious amounts of time guarding. Due to a misunderstanding between protocols for guarding subject C-0892, the guards were left incapacitated as the subject squeaked constantly for 3 hours straight. The breach was contained easily after the guards noticed something amiss when the guards did not respond to regular patrol. Now placed within a small sound-proof room, the guards are rotated at an hourly basis, wearing ear plugs. A more intentional and dangerous attempt at escape was performed by subject S-0021, attempting to escape before the entrance to the headquarters. Subject S-0021 is sentient water, to be simply put. Found after the tribe of Sakhalar in Africa was found dead, holes pierced from within, their bodies entirely robbed of any moisture. Agent [CLASSIFIED] handled subject by ingesting it and regurgitating subject S-0021 into a tank built to contain it. Glowing a bluish hue, it simply looks like illuminating water as it lay still in a sturdy, glass tank. While sentient, it does not seem to have the intelligence of a human. Threat letter S classification is applied due to its ability to merge itself with other bodies of water, making it very capable of spreading to the whole world, very fast and capable of damaging the world beyond repair. As it neared headquarters, subject increased it¡¯s temperatures to high levels [an ability it hasn¡¯t shown since its capture back in [DATA CORRUPTED]], cracking the glass it was transported into. Sentient water splashed on nearby personnel, boiling them alive as it took the moisture residing within their bodies. Overseer S handled the unruly subject. 8 personnel, 0 agents were lost during it¡¯s attempt at escape. Subject S-0021 is now placed in a multi-layer glass tank that is resistant to heat, cold, puncturing while also being shatter-proof. Research conducted with subject is to be approved of and be supervised constantly by Agents specially tasked to deal with liquid-based lifeforms. Incapable of human speech, a debriefing of its prison is not necessary. Any liquids are to be kept 50 metres away from Subject S-0021¡¯s cell at all times, and living creatures are not to be placed within subject. Failure to follow instruction will be faced with immediate termination. While these subjects were the only ones to attempt escape out of a few thousand, a more dangerous subject has killed more personnel and put even more out of commission during its transportation. Subject H-0121, known simply as ¡®Tentacles¡¯, is a writhing mass of tentacles with large, bulbous shapes at the ends and large veins pulsing continuously throughout and all varying sizes, similar to that of a mammal¡¯s [DATA EXPLICIT] which produces a sweet smelling scent that drives people to lust driven madness. No actual face or head has been found, and attempts to search and find the subject¡¯s visage have remained unsuccessful. It was transported in a large metal container with only a single hole to allow the creature daily sustenance. Through an insignificant gap to provide sustenance and air for subject H-0121, the subject entered the 10 guards surrounding the prison through multiple body orifices, and 3 of the subjects were pulled into the hole, which was half a foot in diameter. The 3 were crushed, and only blood splatter remained of the 3 personnel yanked into its cage. The remaining were collapsed in pleasure when they were discovered and are all in intensive therapy for recovery. This was one of the many incidents that occurred during the 3 day transport. 18 personnel were KIA/MIA, whereas 52 are currently in therapy similar to that of sexual assault victims. Complete recovery highly likely for all, amnestics may be applied to help recovery. Now placed in a room with NO holes whatsoever, subject H-0121¡¯s food is transported through a small slot in the door. Any unauthorised movement will activate the flame-throwers, incinerating any tentacle that peeks outside of its cage. Guards are placed outside of the hallway leading to the cage, armored with fire resistant suits that also cover any body orifices along with firearms if the flame-throwers fail to activate in an attempt to escape. [END ENTRY] ENTRY 004 ENTRY 004 Weeks have passed since the last entry was written. Only a small portion of subjects,7, are left to be transported to their proper cells, as they are the most dangerous and volatile. To efficiently and precisely handle as much subjects as possible, 2 agents were assigned to each subject, more depending on the immediate danger the subject possesses. Each agent were hand picked by the Overseer, me, to handle the subjects¡¯ movement and containment. Overseer personally escorted multiple of the most dangerous subjects out of the already dangerous group, because escape is tantamount to the end of humanity or the planet. Subjects such as subject subject W-0027, and subject V-0412 were all escorted by Overseer S himself, with or without agents supporting him in each of those journeys to the new headquarters. Subject V-0412 is a humanoid figure with no distinguishing features nor genitalia. Glowing an ominous white hue, the subject is capable of bending time and space to it¡¯s will. It has breached G.R.U.U.U.L multiple times by shifting to a different space in time where it was not held in the prison. Documents, digital or physical, detailing first encounters with the mysterious being were rewritten constantly as it changed the course of history, and only special papers that detail it¡¯s abilities accessible by [DATA CLASSIFIED] were not tampered with during its travels through time. Potential for world ending catastrophe is very large, as escape could mean travelling before G.R.U.U.U.L was founded, back in [DATA CORRUPTED] and possibly prevent the organization¡¯s conception. Subject is seemingly immortal, unable to be killed, tested, or talked to. Creatures or objects making contact with subject V-0412 are blinded by a bright light, only to disappear. Direct skin contact is needed to trigger the effect, but 23 personnel have been lost and never found, presumably KIA. Transportation was handled by Overseer S, along with Agents [DATA CLASSIFIED] and [DATA CLASSIFIED]. Both are capable of disrupting its ability to teleport through the containment it is held within. Overseer S was to help support the agents if subject turns violent, or attempts escape. No disaster occurred, and was transported without any problems whatsoever. The second subject that was escorted personally by Overseer S is Subject W-0027. A monkey with humanoid features, golden fur and bright yellow eyes and sapient intelligence, it has been able to communicate with personnel and goes by the alias Sun Wu-Kong. Long periods of time near Sun Wu-Kong forces people to rely on primal instincts, as they begin to sympathise with the subject and turn to humanoid monkeys themselves, becoming faithful minions to subject W-0027. Subject itself is extraordinarily strong and fast, capable of feats such as but not limited to breaking through reinforced iron walls and catching bullets with bare hands. Poison and sedatives affect subject but with considerable resistance, and is contained in a cell chained with reinforced steel, with a gag on its mouth and given regular injections of powerful sedatives to keep in check. Guards are outfitted with poisoned darts and earplugs if subject attempts breach. Agent [CLASSIFIED] was responsible for evacuating personnel during it¡¯s debriefing when it reached the prison. Regular sedative injection was halted to allow communication. LOG: Overseer S: ¡°Greetings, subject W-0027. You are being confined at G.R.U.U.U.L headquarters, Originating from ancient myths in the East, you were found at [DATA CLASSIFIED] building an army and apprehended by Agent [CLASSIFIED]. Any sign of escape will launch poisoned darts repeatedly that will grant immediate termination. Understood?¡± [Subject W-0027 snarls, and attempts to yank chains from sockets.] Subject W-0027: ¡°All will fall, eventually. This cage shall fall with time, and I will remain. I was to bring humanity salvation, and now, you have doomed humanity by imprisoning me.¡± Overseer S: ¡°I care not for your misguided attempts at saving humanity. I want your compliance. Is. That. Understood?¡± Subject W-0027: [Narrows eyes, and the light in his eyes grow brighter] I see. You will last far longer than this cage. This cage is merely a decoy for the real prison, isn¡¯t it? After all, the one who contains being such as myself has to be just as powerful.. Overseer S: I am not obligated to give you any information. Subject W-0027: You may be able to defeat me in combat, but you too, will fall eventually. Just like the Jade Emperor, just like Buddha, and the Army of Heaven, I will be the only one left. [END ENTRY] Classified: SUBJECT A-6216 Subject: A-6216 Confinement Notes: Subject does not need constant supervision and is to be placed in a regular cardboard box, stored in room [DATA CLASSIFIED]. Authorized and expendable personnel are the only ones allowed to use Subject A-621. Researchers, agents and valuable personnel are only permitted to observe effects of use of subject. Description: Subject A-6216 is a virtual reality headset that is manufactured by the company Oculus VR. Subject was discovered on [DATA CLASSIFIED] after a college student was reported to have died of [DATA CLASSIFIED] while wearing subject A-6216. Despite the Oculus Rift being released in 2016, the object was discovered in 19XX. To trigger the effects of subject A-6216, the person who wears it must fit all criteria. Otherwise, the subject does not activate and shows nothing. The requirements include; As all expendable personnel have a criminal history and personnel working at G.R.U.U.U.L don¡¯t match the criteria of an average life, voluntary research is needed and reached out to the public, maintaining an image that G.R.U.U.U.L is doing test runs for a new virtual reality game. 103 people, all labelled as subject A-6216-X, are used to monitor the effects of subject. When worn, all subjects A-6216-X have reported entering an extremely realistic RPG, where the plot of the story varies depending on the player. Subject A-6216-4 reported that his world was run by ¡®scantily clad elves that took over the world while using the male population as slaves¡¯, whereas subject A-6216-2 reported that his world was a medieval age timeline where dragons, elves, orcs, and a multitude of races used magic and swords to wage war, which 76 other subjects reported to have, albeit slight differences. Soon after reporting what they see, all subjects seem to freeze and fall into a comatose state. The time it takes for them to fall asleep varies, but all go comatose within 10-30 minutes. Time has been shown to pass much faster when subject A-6216 is worn, as removing the anomalous headset from subject A-6216-4 after 2 minutes rendered him screaming, shouting ¡®SHADOW FORCE! FIREBALL! [EXTRA LOGS DELETED] [END LOG] Wearing subject A-6216 seems to manipulate the memories of subjects who wear it for more than 25 minutes, placing memories, thinking they have died [common cases of death were death by vehicle, stabbings, and high velocity impacts.] and were transported to another world. Sense of time is also manipulated, allowing people to do things in a year in the virtual reality whereas it is approximately a minute in real life. Few have even reported to be reincarnated as non human creatures in the virtual worlds, as subject A-6216-34 claimed he was reincarnated as a chest with teeth that ate other people with no remorse [psychological testing has shown no real lasting effects upon subject A-6216-34]. Most attempted to go back to the headgear, as the mediocrity of their lives was far too dull to return to, and were promptly given powerful amnestics and returned to their regular lives. Some were glad that they were back after being given a brief explanation of what happened, and gladly accepted the amnestics and willingly returned to their regular life, along with compensation. No incidents of all 103 subjects have yet to be reported. Personnel and other researchers see great similarities to a sub genre of japanese fantasy called ¡®Isekai¡¯ when compared with subject A-6216¡¯s effects. A genre where a mediocre person is transported to another world. Regardless, Overseer has seen no need to conduct further testing on subject and is to be placed in storage [CLASSIFIED] and to be kept away from all personnel. Note: A virtual reality headset capable of messing up a human¡¯s sense of time and memories is not to be played around with. Recommend use of subject H-0121 to dispose of personnel that used subject in violation of protocol. -Researcher Avery ENTRY 005 Subject Z-0001 was the first being that was classified as a Z level threat; capable of either destroying or controlling the world if it was given even the smallest chance to escape confinement. Subject Z-0001 is a hivemind entity that was discovered in ancient ruins of Greek Civilization by Agent [DATA CLASSIFIED] and was unfortunately taken over when it made contact [all beings that have been controlled by Subject Z-0001 are now to be called Subject Z-0001-X]. Over [DATA REMOVED] personnel were absorbed by Subject Z-0001. Termination is the only way to release them from subject¡¯s control. Subject has shown itself capable of speech and thought, theorized to be more advanced than humans. It has also used animals and was able to communicate in garbled English, despite some animals lacking the vocal cords to do so. Testing has been halted after one mistake resulted in a breach of containment, after terminating the only subject possessed by subject Z-0001, the entity took control of researcher Giles, despite being contained with no entrances left open and secured in a thick steel laboratory. This led to the discovery of its ability to pass through walls if left without a host and other forms of containment. Although subject is virtually invincible with no body, it can only inhabit one body when incorporeal and cannot relinquish control of any body it turns into instances of subject Z-0001-X. Before this could be exploited, it took control of roughly 74% of the headquarters and released numerous other subjects that proceeded to wreak havoc throughout the facility. Some creatures that were released showed immunity to subject Z-0001¡¯s hivemind capabilities, such as subject X-0054, who was released and remained within containment for reasons unknown. The previous overseer, Overseer Light, along with future/current Overseer S and numerous subjects with immunity to subject Z-0001 were willing enough to proceed with combat against two-thirds of the entire organization that was controlled by subject Z-0001. Overseer Light was terminated during the fight against subject Z-0001, after it took control of subject G-2108, a large manticore that managed to launch a venomous spine into Overseer Light¡¯s eye. Overseer S was responsible for subjugating the most dangerous threats that were released, such as subject W-0027 [has shown no sign of being controlled by subject Z-0001], who spawned a miniature army of golden monkeys in an attempt to combat Overseer S [Instances of subject Z-0001-X that turned into monkeys seemed to have overcome the hivemind effect.]. Subject W-0097, a sentient pile of gear that absorbed numerous parts of the advanced technology available in the old headquarters transformed into a rocket to flee the building and was subsequently terminated by the combined efforts of Overseer S and subject P-0254, a powerful, human esper that was resistant towards subject Z-0001¡¯s powers [Note: Subject P-0254 is to be rewarded with access to internet for her actions, but interaction with humans from the outside world is to be monitored and limited]. All agents and personnel were evacuated, as none had the ability to resist subject Z-0001¡¯s mind controlling effects. All subjects that subjugated instances of subject Z-0001-X or other unruly subjects are to be rewarded or granted requests that are previously denied to due to lack of trust, and subjects capable of human intelligence are to be offered an option to be instated as an Agent. Overseer S was promoted as the head of G.R.U.U.U.L, after the subsequent loss of Overseer Light. With the HQ¡¯s near destruction, the new base of operations was moved due to subject Z-0001¡¯s breach. Subject is the host of a 23 year old caucasian male, and is kept in secure containment and is restrained, blinded and is provided sustenance through tubes. No agents, researchers, subjects or expendable personnel are to enter subject Z-0001¡¯s containment without Overseer supervision. Tests are to be indefinitely suspended. Attempts to communicate with subject are to be met with termination, and anybody who enters confinement is to be contained by Overseer S. Overseer is responsible for transporting subject to new base, and is supplied with a vehicle to move subject from Russia, [DATA CLASSIFIED] to [DATA CLASSIFIED] where the new base is located. (soft laughter) END LOG After this, subject did not speak again until halfway through the ship¡¯s route, approximately 8 days later. Subject has shown photographic memory, and retains the knowledge of personnel and agents it controlled, elevating his threat level to higher levels. LOG Subject Z-0001: This organization.. G.R.U.U.U.L, was it? You all withhold secrets from the entire human population. Information that could save lives. Such as subject Y-0606, the liquid that can cure anything. Very valuable indeed. Overseer S: Where did you learn about subject Y-0606? Subject Z-0001: A little birdy told me. (giggling occurs) Overseer S: (Can be heard entering subject¡¯s confinement, screams echo throughout for 3 minutes) Your host¡¯s body is unharmed, but your mind is not. Subject Z-0001: ...Researcher Bradley¡¯s memories showed him reviewing multiple files, including that of subject Y-0606. Overseer S: ...Researcher Bradley is in charge of confirming accuracy of subject files. I can confirm that is the truth. Good. Subject Z-0001: ..I¡¯ll get you back for that, eventually. END LOG After a painful encounter with Overseer S, subject remained silent for the remainder of the transport. Subject Z-0001 was suppressed due to Overseer¡¯s presence and was successfully transported to headquarters. Subject is now confined with no contact with any living being. Food and water is given forcibly through tubes. Remote controlled drones patrol the area to ensure nothing goes within confinement. Any attempt on host¡¯s life is to be eradicated. Host body is to be protected and kept safe at all costs. At the sign of the host expiring, a new host is to be brought in and deliberately contaminated by subject and previous host is to be terminated through use of remote controlled drones. With the successful transportation of the last subject from the old HQ, G.R.U.U.U.L is now able to apprehend more anomalies with more space available to contain them.
