Our tale shall start in the Empire of Weltip, in the region of Falrtin, which is directly south, to the very edge of the Empire near the sea, at a well-off fishing town named Dracgbruk, there stands a mansion not too far off the town, atop the highest bluff, stands the mansion of Maarlon, in which lives a respected, high-noble family know as the Riltaar''s. the first known member was called Fredrik Riltaar, then his wife who was known as Annesa Riltaar, formerly as Annesa Kismertis. 400 years have passed since the passing of both Fredrik Riltaar, and Annesa Riltaar, after their passing their noble family rose among the other to be one of the more well respected noble families even if they are also one of the more, forgettable ones, almost like an ordinary family, maybe because they went a bit silent for the past 60 years, who knows, but me... and eventually, you and only you and me..... In the middle of the forest, on a cobblestone road, were a caravan of both adventurers and craftsmen making their merry way to the fishing town of Dracgburk to set up an adventurer guild so if anything nasty springs up, the venturing bands of hoodlums can dispatch whatever it may be that threatens the fishing town, which is also slowly becoming one of the empire''s major trade hubs. as the caravan slowly makes its way, something else is happening in Dracgburk right at that very moment. "Did you hear! they are going to make an adventuring guild right here! oh, I can''t wait to sign up! I heard if you become steel rank, you get free housing and food!" "Who knows what you will get if you become gold! o-or Zetim!" "I''d like to see you try! you won''t get there before me I sa-" "SHUT UP WILL YA! Some people are trying to have a drink! they don''t need you three screamin'' over some pansy ass guild that steals our money! and for what?! I don''t need these fucking ''erbs and they are tellin'' me to pay up? or what kill me!? like they killed mansy''s cow''s because they thought they were imaginary monster''s?! grow up kid or get out" As the burly fisher''s man scolded the too pure for their town group of kids, the other patrons of the tavern were egging the once quiet and peaceful patron on, while the barkeep just kept his eyes closed for if there were any "accidents" he would just tell the meagre guard that he didn''t see anything. these kids were called Meary, Popps, and Forim, they all moved into town not that long ago and still have a bit of trouble adjusting to this happy little town! not that I have anything to say about it! Anyway, they were shortly kicked out of the tavern and onto the cold street, the moment the last one''s butt hit the cobble it started raining, "well that is a sign as any we probably should say quits with trying to fit into the locals" Popps says "ah, how could we know they had such a major distaste for adventures as the last town" "lets try to be a bit more discreet next time, maybe listen to a few people before we start spouting our mouths off" meary adds, and so the three friends who may or may not also have a major case of hate for adventures, went on back to their homes. The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. Many people went to bed shortly after the kids went home, it was already slowly getting dark and it even started to snow, first a few snowflakes until everyone was in their homes or what they counted as home, after which it slowly picked up becoming a blizzard, and for the incoming caravan of adventuring bandits and craftsmen, well they got the worst of it. As the caravan slowly moved on the snow littered cobblestone path, one of the adventures slipped and screamed, the front half the caravan stopped in an instant like a well oiled paranoid Madman while the other half stopped not too long after, mumbling whispers were heard all over the caravan, all wanting to know what happened, "Who was that?! are they alright?!" one of the more veteran adventures yelled on the front half, "Yea I think it was Bartin! you know he can''t keep his feet straight! think we should camp out until it gets better!?" yelled one of the foremen/retired adventurer, "No we keep going until we can''t! It isn''t too far now!" said one of the more leading figures, there was a few angry mumbles and grumbles across the caravan, but in the end, no one dared to say anything back. as the Blizzard became a full-on snow storm! special lanterns were lit that could keep burning through this weather, a few screams were the first sign of lightning crashers coming down from the sky to harass the adventures, yet more was coming... "Damn it, those greedy slobs should be here already! what happened?" a guard asked his comrade. "think the storm swallowed them up? Most folks from the mainland don''t know about the weather here, so that might have slowed them down a bit, good riddance I say" "Wait, I think i see them coming now, OPEN THE GATES!" A ragged group comes out of the treeline, their numbers reduced to a smidgen of what once was a grand caravan, still enough to start the construction on the guild and enough adventures to man the positions that need to be filled, sadly the guild master that would take charge of the Dracgburk guild perished on that hallowed night, so one of the survivors would become a stand-in until someone from the mainland came to fill the position. yet the populace wasn''t too happy with them venty''s being here, except for the major. Diary entry 94: It is truly fascinating, this old bent key has been within the castle for uncounted years, not in the basement or anything, but hung above the main hearth, yet no one notices it''s presence, it even had the date chiseled under it''s form, not even a wandering eye, after everyone has gone to bed to rest, I sneaked through the darkened hallways to the main hall where the key hangs, I almost jumped after a rat ran past me, when a bat flew past a window, I swear it''s shadow almost looked like a demon, I laugh at my stupidity, but in the end I was able to snag the key and go back to my room without being noticed, lets see if anyone notices it''s disappearance. - Alber Kooning. As the year''s pass and boys become men, as new stones are laid and trees felled, as homes are built and walls go higher, the city of Dracgburk become a centerpiece for the empire, rivaling the capital itself, the trade that went in and out made it became quite the target for pirate''s, only one raid was ever tried on the town now city, which failed absolutely, and with a small army stationed in the city It became less of a target and more of a hub within the confines of the slums/sewers, we finally settle on the mansion of maarlon, a strange place it''s been from 60 years to 113 years of silence, not even answering the calls to attand to the party the new rulers threw, some think they all died, yet some say there is something diffrent going on, for you see the family may not be as social as a few certain poeple would like but they still have servants that take care of the mansion and it''s inhabitants, yet no matter how you press on these servants they tell nothing except that the Riltaar family is still quite alive, it''s quite strange, if they are still around why the silence? but no one tried to try and get into contact with the elusive Riltaar''s. oh well, I''m sure it''s nothing... or, no that is impossible...Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. There stands a lone figure in front of a window holding a glass of wine, it''s almost time to begin the preparation''s they think darkly, they sip the last of the remaining wine and walk across the dimly lit hallway, throwing the empty glass onto the ornate floor... Popps walks into the old tavern and goes to the bar at the back, he sits on the old stool "A black ale please" the old barkeep nods, and gives popps his drink "so how''s the adventuring been goin'' popps, anything worthwhile to tell?" Popps throws some copper coins onto the bar in a dismissive gesture "You know I didn''t want to go adventuring, but forim charismatic lad he is, roped me into it, wonder how he''s doing..." they sat silently for a few minutes''s the barkeep handing out drinks and taking order''s "I heard what happened, shouldn''t you be with her instead of drinkin'' here?"
