《Trading Card Shopkeeper》 Prologue - No Way / As the certain shop door swings open, the doorbell rang, notifying the shop owner of a customer''s arrival. ???: Welcome! A shop owner in his early twenties stood up behind his counter. Customer: Uncle James! A ten-year-old boy who is wearing brown clothes shouted out excitedly. James: How many times I told you not to call me uncle..... James''s thoughts: Do I look that old? James could only scratch the side of his forehead in annoyance. Boy: But my mother said that we should always greet people properly. James could only cross his arms and sigh to the boy''s answer. James: Just call me James will do. Boy: Okay James: So what you are here for, Corn?If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. Corn: Oh yes, my parents told me to return you this. Corn rummaged through his pant pockets. Corn: There it is! Corn took out a card that has a unique card back. Corn: Here''s the card. As Corn took out the card, the card started to float away from his hands and flew into James''s hands. James: The Wooden Bull. I thought I told your parents to have it James replied as he gazed at the front of the card. The card shows a picture of a wooden bull in the middle of a wheat field. White words with black outline started surfacing, almost covering the entire picture. Corn: My parents said it is not safe to have such a magical item with them so it is best to return it back to you. While Corn was saying, James was in the middle of recalling his memories. James Mo was just a normal everyday high school New Zealand student and his parents are always working overtime. Barely having time to care for their only child, James was raised from young by his Asian mother''s parents. James was going home late as he and his friends are done with their gaming party. Although his grandparents have a strict curfew for him, James still allowed to come home late before midnight. Realising that he would be late if he takes the usual way home, James decided to take a shortcut which he never dares to try before. After walking for a long way, James felt that he has lost his way. James took out his phone and activated his internet service, attempting to use the GPS to find his way home. There was no signal shown on the phone and the internet service is not working. Not knowing what to do, he decided to lay back on a tree and wait till morning As the sun raised up in the sky, rays of morning sunshine woke James up from his bed of fallen leaves. Suddenly, a male electronic voice started speaking.James heard something like "Trading Card Maker System at your service." and a huge blue outlined screen appeared before him. System: How may I assist you, Sir? The electronic voice spoke again but James is stunned by the current events. James: No way.......... Chapter 1 - Barren the Hunter James''s recollection of memories was interrupted by a shout. Corn: Uncle James! James shifted his view from the card he was holding to the boy who is calling him. James: Sorry, I was in the middle of something. James said while showing an apologetic expression. Corn: Sorry to disturb you. Should I leave your shop? James: No, it''s alright. So how''re your parents doing? Corn: My father......... Corn''s reply was cut off by the ringing doorbell while the shop door was swung outwards. James: Welcome....Oh! Mister Barren, how is today hunt? A man in his thirties wearing brown clothes with leather armor, came in smiling while carryingabrown sack that looks heavy. He was also strapped with his two sheathed daggers, a quiver full of arrows and a unique wooden bow. Barren: Thanks to your magical item. Hunting has become smooth for me. Corn: What magical item? Can I see it? Corn spoke excitedly after hearing the keyword "magical item"Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. Barren: Give me a minute. Barren put down the tied heavy sack down while saying. Barren: Let''s see where I put it. Ah-ha! There you are! Barren rummaged through his leather armor and took a card that has the same unique cover. Barren: Summon! Wooden Hound! The card disappears and a wooden dog appears Barren. Wooden Hound: Woof! Corn: Cool! Can I play with it? Barren: Go ahead. Don''t harm the boy. Barren looks at the wooden dog while saying. Wooden Hound: Woof! The wooden dog barks with acknowledgment. Barren: James, I managed to find what you want. Is the magical item I wanted still available? Barren drags his heavy sack to James'' counter while saying. James: Of course, as long the value of the items you have brought is equivalent to the value of the card. James paused for a while before replyingagain. James: but you know the usual. I still give you a discount even if you don''t come to my shop regularly. Barren: Ha, if you mean the time when I escorted you from the forest to town, that was nothing. Who would be that crazy to live in a forest full offerocious beasts? James: Even it is nothing, I am still grateful to you for helping me out. James smiled while recalling the events. It was two weeks since the time James was stunned by the events that he was in another world and attached along with a system. James has been wandering back and fro from the tree which he hadlaid on and tried walking back the same direction which he believed it is the right way. The problem is the right way which he believed in leads him to a dead end cliff. It was on the way back where he meetsthe hunter''s Barren. Luckily, for James, communication was not a problem as Barren was able to speak the same English language. Thanks to Barren''s escort, James was able to find a town with human activity. He was glad he did not have to survive on rations which are made of a tube of potato chips and a 1.5 liters bottle of soft drink. Stopping his recollection of memories, James eagerly looked at Barren and spoke. James: So may I see what you have in there for me? Chapter 2 - Experiment Barren open up his heavy sack and took out a small sack from it. As heput the small sack on the counter table, it gives off a loud thud sound. James: Hmm... James''s thoughts: System, Full-area scan. As Barren lay down the items on the counter, an invisible blue ray started scanning from the bottom to the top of the entire shop. System: Scanning entire environment. Scanning complete. Three unknown energy signatures detected. A female electronic voice rang out inside James'' mind. Originally the system has a male electronic voice but James requested for the female voice as he does not want to be similar to a certain rich superhero[1] who has a system that gives off an electronic male voice. James alsoaltered the female voice to be similar to a certain China''s femalesinging vocal synthesizer[2]. James''s thoughts: System, location. System: First Location Detected. Counter table. Second Location: Customer''s sack. James looked at the items that Barren laid over the counter. Some of the items look like minerals but in different colors and some of them seems to be just colored pebbles. White outlined circles started showing on some of the items as if they were notifying James that those are the items that are giving off unknown energy signatures. This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. Barren: I am not sure which one you are looking so I just gather a sack of them. James: I will take them all. James replied without any hesitation. Barren: Really? James: Not a problem. So which card do you want? Barren: I would like to have another Wooden Hound. James: One Wooden Hound coming up. By the way, did you hunt anything special? Barren: Not much but I got my hands on a new type of species. James: New type of species? Barren: You know normal rabbits that we hunters caught has nothing on their forehead but the one I caught seems to have a shiny red stone on its forehead. Baron replied while pulling out a rabbit by its long ears from his heavy sack. Barren: I think I would get profit after selling this. James: How about selling that to me? Barren: You? What do you want it for? James: Can''t tell you much but I will offer you a new hunting companion in exchange. Barren: Really? What''s so new about it. James took a card from behind the counter. James: Wooden Falcon. If you have problems hunting your prey that could easily fly away, this companion would come in handy. The Wooden Falcon shows a picture of a falcon made of wood and has wings that seem to be made out of green leaves. Barren: Deal! I can finally stop feasting on just deer and rabbit meat. Barren handed over the rabbit and took the two cards from the counter. Barren: C''mon, Woody. Time to go home. Wooden Hound: Woof! Barren spoke while throwing the heavy sack over his shoulders. He then unsummoned the Wooden Hound and left the shop. James: See you, come again. Corn, you also have to go. Your parents would be worried. Corn: Okay Corn replied sadly as he can no longer play around with the wooden dog. Corn: See you again. Uncle James. Corn shouted as he left the shop. James: I am still in my twenties..... Oh well..... James sighed as he has given up on Corn who still calling him Uncle in spite of telling him so many times. James: System, time to do some experiments. System: Commencing operation. Research portal activated. Chapter 3 - Ophelia A blue transparent screen with a spinning vortex appears before James. "Research" was one of the first few system options which James tested when he was stuck in the forest. All James has to do is to throw things into the spinning vortex so that the system would analyze, research, evaluateand then create the same product in a card format. Depending on the number of customers, the system could generate more than one similar card every day. Currently, the system could only generate one similar card per day. "Album" was also one of the few system options where it is a storage that keeps the created cards in a categorized order which the James wants. James could also store back cards that had already been generated or taken out from the system. The categories which are created so far are Monster, Equipment, Ability and Item cards. These categories are later divided into either consumable and non-consumable. Non-consumable Monster Cards are cards that can be summoned and unsummoned. James set the rule that If the summoned Monster is destroyed, it will turn back into a card until the user came back to the shop to payrestoration fees. This also applies to both non-consumable Equipment and Item cards. For non-consumable ability card, the card can be applied to anyone who does not have the ability and cannot apply again to anyone who has the same ability. It also cannot be used again to raise the level of the same ability. Consumable Monster Cards are cards that can be summoned for a short period of time and both the card and monster will disappear. This also applies to both consumable Equipment and Item cards. For consumable ability card, the card will disappear once the ability is applied to the user. Due to experimental reasons, James did not set the levels and rarity of the cards. He treated Barren and Corn''s parents as beta testers. When the monster cards are given to Barren and Corn''s parents, the level of the monster cards is altered to match the user''s level. Those cards will be rendered useless once James is done with the adjustment of levels and rarity. Lastly, "Create" option allows James create cards based on his imagination and editing. Should the created card exceed the information which the system had researched, the creation would become a failure.Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. James began his experiments by throwing the small sack and the rabbit into the spinning vortex. The system generates a white outlined table that lists the number of elements and materials it has analyzed and details it has evaluated. James: By the way, System. System: Yes, Sir? James: I have been wondering. Where do you get the power source to assist me in all these experiments? System: Emotions. Sir James: Emotions? System: Yes, my power source feeds on the both the positive and the negative emotions of the merchant and his or her customers. James: Wait, so when I was in the forest, I should be feeling despair and lost but I still feel confident that I can find my way back. That was all your doing? System: Sir, as a merchant, you should always keep your cool. James: And who actually wrote that rule? System: I don''t know, Sir. It''s already written inside me when I woke up. James: I see....since you are able to feed on our emotions without us knowing, is there any possibility you might overeat? System: Not possible, Sir. There are written rules in my programming that prevents me from overeating. For example, the range ofmode is from 1 to 5. 1 stands for high despair and 5 stands for high hopes. Should a customer''s mood is either ranged at 1 or 5, I would feed till it is either ranged at 2 or 4. As for you, my owner, my written rule requires you remain at 3. James: I feel like punching the person who wrote your programming. So what new elements have we discover? System: From the previous meeting with the customer''s Barren, the green and yellow magical stones, we have discussed that each element should have its own fixed color but it appears to us it may not seems so. By further researching, the green stones seems tocontain other elements. This also applies to the yellow magical stones. System: Elements found in the green stones are earth, wood, poison, jade, core. System:Elements found in the yellow stones are thunder, wind, gold, paint and light, System:Cards created so far are Wooden Bull, Wooden Hound, Wooden Falcon. James: Maybe we should try using other mixtures. By the way, I thought I did remind myself but I keep forgetting. System: What is it, Sir? James: Your name. System: Sir. My serial code is made up of a long line of codes and alphabets if you want to know. James: That''s not a name. Nevermind, I will give you now. what do you think ofOphelia? System:Ophelia, also known as help in Greek. Created by the poet Jacopo Sannazaro and used by Shakespeare for his play "Hamlet". James: How do you know all of this!? System: It seems anything you need to know will be automatically added to the database. Is there anything else? James: You do amaze me sometimes. Anyway, from now on, your name will be Ophelia. Ophelia: Change of name complete. is there anything to add on? Chapter 4 - Races & Elements James: If you say I need to know anything will be automatically added to the database, is there any information on how should I get back to my world? Ophelia:Searching foravailable information. No relevant information found. James: What about my family? Ophelia:Mo Zexian, Clark, 45, Father of James Mo, CEO of Mo & Larnach Asia Pte Ltd. New Zealand Citizen. Mo Aotian, 80, Father of Mo Zexian, retired black-ops elite of the People''s Liberation Army Special Operations Forces. New Zealand Permanent Resident. Tang Meixuan, 76, Mother of Mo Zexian, head nurse of the St. Longinus Hosptial. New Zealand Permanent Resident. Angela Larnach, 40, Mother of James Mo, CEO of New Zealand Mo & Larnach HQ. New Zealand Citizen. Billy Larnach, 78, Father of AngelaLarnach, retired chairman of New Zealand Mo & Larnach HQ.New Zealand Citizen. Melinda Larnach, 75, Mother ofAngelaLarnach, Housewife. James did not expect his family background to be that rich. James: So I was supposed to be a rich kid. James could imagine the money that his parents and grandparents would spend searching for him. Ophelia: Sir, there is a problem with the date of the information. James: What problem? Ophelia: This information has been in my database since I have awakened. There are no new changes applied to it. James: Huh? Why would your creator put my family personal information in yourdatabase? Ophelia:Only my creator can answer your question. James: Nevermind. Let''s go through the today items.Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation. Ophelia:Items Researched: Blue stones, Red stones, Rabbit Corpse (New Species) Elements found in the blue stones are water, ice, alkaline, sapphire, core Elements found in the red stones are fire, light, paint, core, ruby. The only element found in the rabbit corpse is blood. James: Blood? Ophelia, do you think there will be a bounty on our heads if we created a blood monster? Ophelia: Firstly, the bounty will be only on your head. Secondly, blood monstersare rarely seen in low-level dungeon areas, so creating blood monsters like blood slimes is not a problem. James: Can''t you take a joke? Oh well... two new cores. two more type of monsters. Ophelia: Do you like to set the categories for the races and elements now? James: For now let''s just set the elements according to colors. As for races...how many races do we have in this world? Ophelia: Over 50 races. Races that hold the majority of this would be humans, wingfolk, darkfolk, lightfolk, dragons, elves, dwarfs, insectfolk, giants, and beastfolk. Would you like me to list all the races out? James: Hold that for a sec... Giants!? We have giants in this world!? But if they have a huge population here, why am I seeing them walking around? Ophelia: It seems this world is too small for them that they have to live in another different dimension that is similar to this world. James: I, therefore, bow down on fours to you, my dear Ophelia for being able to scan across different dimensions. Ophelia: We are currently low in energy reserves. so I am unable to accomplish this feat. James: Old information? Ophelia: Correct. There is another thing I would like to inform you, Sir. James: What is it? Ophelia: The language translator has been active since I was awakened. James: Huh!? But I remember the data in the cards are all written in English and the people even spoke to me in English. Barren should have problems reading the cards. Ophelia: There is a possibility that Mister Barren may have mistaken the cards'' description as magic words and simply use the summon function. James: So do I have to study the language of this world? Ophelia: As long I am still with you, there won''t be a need to study but there is a possibility that the language translator may have to shut down to conserve energy. James: How bad is the current situation? Ophelia: Currently I am relying on you, Sir and mister Barren for energy intake. Once mister Barren decided to stop using your cards, the "Album" option may have to be disabled to conserve energy, It is highly suggested that if you, Sir need more energy, it''s best to find more customers. James: Argh....Ophelia Ophelia: Yes? James: Can you just do all the work for me? I don''t feel like doing anything all of a sudden. Ophelia: It is possible that I can do all of it if we have high upkeep in the energy reserves so you, Sir may have to work hard to achieve that. James felt like crying for the first time. James: Let''s get on with the races. Instead of categorizing them according to different races, I decided to categorize them according to the field they have the advantages in. Set race types to Ground, Sky, Ocean, Mountain, Forest, Nether and Sacred for now. James: Alright. I am done with this. I gonna upstairs and sleep like there''s no tomorrow. Ophelia: Good night, Sir. Chapter 5 - Thornbeard Smithery A loud alarm rang out inside James''s mind. James''s mind: Ring-ring! Ring-ring! James: What the hell, Ophelia!? Just let me sleep a bitlonger! Ophelia: Good morning, Sir. You know I cannot do that. James: Can I not go through this every morning? James replied while trying to cover himself totally with his blanket. Ophelia: I am afraid. As a merchant, you should... James: Wake up early for preparation and open the shop to welcome the customers. James cut off Ophelia by repeating what Ophelia said every morning. James: but there is nothing in that list of rules saying I am not allowed to take leaves from the job. Ophelia: You are only allowed to take 14 days of leave per year. James: Argh..fine! I am taking one right now. Ophelia: You have 13 days of leave left. James:.............. James decided to get out bed since he''s unable to fall back to sleep. James: I am going for a walk in town, Ophelia. James said while adjusting his medieval attire and walking down the stairs. Ophelia: Acknowledged. 15 gold coins will be added to your inventory. "Inventory" option allows James to store and withdraw any other items that are not in card form. Inside the inventory, there are James''s school bag, wallet, cellphone, modern clothes, a decoratedplastic water bottle and several duplicated copies of1.5 liters bottle of soft drink and potato clips tube.Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author. James: No change? Ophelia: Not unless you have obtained both silver and bronze element. James: Maybe I could get some after buying some stuff. James opens the shop and theshopping district of Logger Town came into view. Ophelia: I highly recommended if you visit the blacksmith or the alchemist. There might be elements you can buy at a cheaper cost. You might want to consider making a weapon for your own protection. James: Hmm.... -------------------------------------------------------------- Sounds of hammering andhissing can be heard at the back of the smithery. ????: Welcome to Thornbeard Smithery! James: Hmm? James looked around the smithery, trying to locate the voice. ????: Over here! A dwarven girl spoke while walking from the various set of armors towards James. ????: Hi, I am Maple Thornbeard. What can I get for you, Customer? James: Oh, sorry I didn''t see you there. James said with an apologetic expression while looking downwards at Maple. Maple: it''s alright. I got used to it. Maple said with a friendly tone. Maple, So what can I get for you? James: I am looking ores and metals. Do you sell them? Maple: A weird request, I see. James: Oh yes, I forgot to introduce myself. I am the shopkeeper of the Trading Card Shop. Maple: Trading Card Shop? What kind of cards do you sell? James: The monster summoning type. If you need one, I wouldn''t mind selling you at a discount price. Maple: Do you sell golem cards? James: Golem? James''s thoughts: Ophelia, can we make golem cards with the current elements we have? Ophelia: Elements for creating a golem are all in place. Ready to generate anytime. James: What type of golem you are looking for? Maple: I would want a...... ????: MAPLE! A white-bearded dwarf in blacksmith attire came towards Maple from behind. Maple: Father! Dwarf: I wonder what took you so long and there you are chatting with someone else. Maple: Father, are you mistaken about something? He''s just a customer. Dwarf: What customer will take so much of your time? Let me handle this. The white-bearded dwarf took out his gloves and replied. Dwarf: My apologies, lad. Biggs Thornbeard at your service. What can I do for you? James: Er... Just some ores and metals. Biggs: Ores and metals. We don''t have ores but we do have metals in stock as long you don''t mind refined ones. James: No, I don''t mind, I would like to have 5 of each. Biggs: There you go. 5 iron bars, 5 bronze bars, 5 copper bars and 5 silver bars. That would be 2 gold coins. James: Here you go. James handed over the gold coins and left the smithery. Biggs: See how fast was that? Now take that lazy bum of yours and clean up the forge! Maple: Hmph! Maple walked off sulking. Chapter 6 - Grimchester Workshop (Part A) James: Looks like It will be crowded. James said while looking at the several people walking left and right in front of him. James''s thoughts: Will it be alright if I activated the research portal and throw this sack into it? James mentally spoke while look at the small heavy sack he is holding. Ophelia: There will be no problems. The research portal is completely invisible to people has no permission to see. James: Well then, here you go. James''s thoughts: Activate research portal. James replies while releasing his hold from the small heavy sack of rare metal bars. The sack disappears before it reached the ground. Ophelia: Elements detected. The new elements are iron, bronze, copper and silver. James''s thoughts: Ophelia, I have a question. Ophelia: Yes, Sir? James: Why only 15 gold? You should be able to generate unlimited gold. Ophelia: Sir, due to lack of energy, that is the limit of gold I can generate so far. James: I felt so poor all of a sudden. James recalls mentally that he has a rich background in his world but now he is currently a nobody in this world. If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. Ophelia: More customers, more energy, more gold. Please put in more effort, Sir. James: ....... James was speechless at Ophelia''s "motivation". James: Let''s head to the alchemist''s workshop. James sighed while reply after surrendering to Ophelia mentally. Different weird fragrances could be smelt as James entered the workshop. James: Anyone in here? James called out as there is no one at the counter. James tries ringing the hand-sized silver bell at the counter. James: Hello, anyone? Looks like the owner is not around. James was about to walk out of the shop and he hears a faint female voice. ????: Somebody, help.... James: !? James looks around the counter before entering the back of the workshop. ????: Help James located the faint voice from a heap of books and hurried over there. James pulled something that seems to be the hood of a browncotton robe and drags the person out from the burial of books. ????: Thank you. Can you let go of my robe? James: Oh, sorry. Are you alright? The person who stood in front of James and was dusting herself looks like a blonde-haired elven child wearing cracked glasses. Elf: Not really, Looks like I have to get new glasses. The elven girl took out her glasses and checked the cracks. James: Should I help you call someone else from outside? Elf: No need for that. My assistant should be back from the market soon. Elf: Now may I know who are you, lad? The elven girl spoke after she put on back her cracked glasses. James''s thoughts: Lad!? I don''t mind if someone who looks older than me calling me lad.Her elven child looks seems to tell me that she is acting being older. If I remember correctly, elven in fantasy stories are known for their long lifespans. I suppose this elven girl might be really older than me. James: I am just a shopkeeper and I am here to buy some of your wares. Elf: Shopkeeper? What do you sell? James: Cards. Monster summoning type of cards. Elf: Monster summoning cards? Interesting, I mightvisit your shop sometime. James: You''re welcome. Elf: So what do you need? I can give you a discount for saving me back there. James: What would you recommend if I would have to go a trip to sell my cards? Elf:You should have no problem traveling if your cards are monster summoning types. James: Right, but what if I do not want to reveal them? Elf: Then I would suggest Bombs. The elven girl pointed to a shelf of hand-sized corked round flasks as she spoke. Elf: I have various types of bombs that can be used in various types of situation. Elf: So may I ask, my dear customer, what type of bomb do you need? Chapter 7 - Grimchester Workshop (Part B) James: Can I have all types of bombs you have? One bomb each. Elf: There are different costs for each bomb as some of the materials are either easy to find or hard to get. James: How many types can I get with 10 gold coins? Elf: I would say 5 or 6 types if you want the expensive ones, cheap ones would be 1 gold coin for every 2types. Ophelia: Sir, I highly suggested you should get the cheap ones. Ophelia suddenly spoke mentally inside James''s mind. James''s thoughts: Why? Ophelia: That''s no need to waste gold coins on the expensive ones as the cheap ones will be enough for element extraction. James''s thoughts: Hm.... Elf: So are you buying or not? The elven girl said while watching James absorbed in his thoughts. James: I will take the cheap ones. Elf: Are you sure? The expensive ones are more efficient and less faulty than the cheap ones James: I have no problems with the cheap ones. Elf: If you say so... The elven said while she walked to another shelf where her height could reach with a wooden tray. Elf: There you go. Hand-bomb,Smoke bomb, Poison bomb, Flash bomb, Sound bomb, Sleep bomb, Stink bomb, Oil bomb, Shock bomb, Acid bomb, Shard bomb, Frost bomb,Paint bomb (red),Paint bomb (blue),Paint bomb (green),Paint bomb (white),Paint bomb (black),Paint bomb (yellow),Paint bomb (purple) and lastly Paint bomb (pink). James: Looks like you have a lot of paint bombs. Elf: Well, they are often sold to the training camp for practice. Now it reminds me. Have you gotten an adventurer''s license? You know you can have a discount for these items if you are a registered adventurer. James: No, I have not. It seems I am required to pass the combat test so I went for the merchant''s license instead. Elf: Combat test? I don''t remember there was such a requirement for getting an adventurer license. I suppose times are changing. The last time I remembered the requirements for getting a merchant''s license was to have the ability to count and remember the value of items. Were there any changes to the requirements? James: There was one additional requirement that I have to complete one of the trade quests given by the Merchant Guild. It was that very trade quest where James meet Corn''s parents. If James did not receive help from Corn''s parents, he would not be able to complete that simple trade. This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience. Elf: I guess we are fellow merchants and you know there is no discount between merchants, so doyou like to complete your purchase? The elven girl smiled as she said. James: No, I like to have replacements for thePoisonbomb, Flash bomb, Sound bomb,Shock bomb,Frostbomb,Paint bomb (red) and Paint bomb (yellow). I have no need for them. What shards does the Shard Bomb contain? Elf: Small broken pieces of metal blades. James: Then I will also want a replacement for that. Elf: Hmm... give me a moment The elven girl walked back to the same shelf with her wooden tray. Elf: Here are the new replacements, Paint bomb (orange), Paint bomb (brown) and Paint bomb (gray). This remaining bomb, the Void bomb, is one of my experimental bombs. As the elven girl pointed at a corked black crystal flask on her tray as she spoke James: Experimental? Elf: The bomb core is made from an energized nova crystal that would create a mini black hole vortex which in turn temporary pulls everything nearby to its core before disappearing after a few minutes. James: How did you get your hands on that? Elf: I managed to get it while doing an investigation quest on the death of crystal miners. This bomb is still experimental as the pulling force of the vortex is not that strong for an overweighted wagon-sized monster. Say, does this worth your replacement? James: It will do. Wouldn''t thatenergized nova crystal cost you a lot? Elf: Not much if it is not energized. Re-energizing a nova crystal is much cheaper and easier. With that said, I don''t have any other types of bombs to sell. Would you like to have potions in replacement? James: Cheap potions will do. The elven left her wooden tray on the counter and took out another wooden tray from theback of the counter table. Elf: Here you go.Red potion, blue potion, green potion and white potion. Red potion is for healing and can be either drank or applied to wounds. Blue potion is for re-filling of magic power and can only be drank to be effective. Green potion is for curing poisons and can also be either drank or applied to the affected wounds. Lastly, White potion is for cleansing any wounds that are hit by cursed objects or undead magic. Similarly, it can be either drank or applied to affected wounds. The red, blue and green potions have an additional stamina recovery effect if drank. The white and red potion have positive effects on the undead if thrown on them. James: I would want to complete my purchase. Elf: I don''t think you can carry these much on your own. Would you liketo have a dimensional handbag to carry them? James: Wouldn''t that cost extra? Elf: Treat it as a gift from a fellow merchant. The elven girl spoke while she packed James''s purchases into the brown handbag. James: Wait, I also have a gift for you too. James''s thoughts: Ophelia, can you generate a Wooden Doll card? Ophelia: Generated. the card "Wooden Doll" has been added tothe Inventory. James pretended to reach into his pockets for something and draws the card from the Inventory. James: Same here, a gift from a fellow merchant. James said while handing over a card to the elven girl. To summon or un-summon it, just say "Summon Wooden Doll" or "Return Wooden Doll". Elf: That''s an Interesting card you got there. Fine, I will take it. The elven girl spoke as she looked the at the card that shows a picture of a wooden faceless doll. James: So can I have my stuff? As James spoke, he placed the 10 gold coins on the counter. Elf: Oh sorry, I was engrossed in the makings of your summon card. here''s your bag. Please do come by again. The elven girl hands the bag to James and said. James: See you then. James left the shop and the elven girl continues to play around with the summon card. Elven girl: Summon Wooden Doll! A wooden doll appears before the elven girl. Elven girl: Come along, we got work to do. Before the elven girl could leave the counter with the wooden doll, someone barges into the workshop. ????: Teacher, I am sorry to be that late. I was so engrossed....Eh? The girl in her early twenties who barged in noticed a wooden doll standing next to the elven girl. ????: Teacher, what is that? Elf: Oh, Meet our new companion. She will be with us for a long time. Oh, yes. There will be a cut in your pay for being late today. ????: EHHH!?
