 Prologue: The Transfer

    It was the sound of water dripping followed by a cold sensation through his skin..

    The heaviness that weight upon his body, and the exhaustion that brought his consciousness back.

    He slowly open his eyes and examine his surroundings, and found himself in a cave with many shattered rocks and debris of metals. The surrounding is so chaotic its just like a bull stampede recently happend.

    And the first question that he ask himself is,

    (Who am I?)

    After pondering for awhile, a name slowly resurface in his mind

    (Raynor Radon)

    And after that, a sudden flashback of memories and information of what happen in the past and how he end up at this place flow into his head all at once..

    It was during the year of 2225 AD that he lives in, where after the WW3has over some hundred years ago, and humans have avoided their extinction, and unexpectedly, many still survived.

    After that, because of how low the earth''s resource and how bad the environment have become, humans have fixed their focus upon the vast expense of the universe and focus on developing technologies not for warfare but to expand their territory to other celestial bodies and to obtain their land and resources.

    Many years later, human technology have led themtopopulate the moon and colonized Mars and to make them suitable for human habitat. Not long after gaining suffecient resource, humans continue their tug of war and have also bring their warfare to the next level, with the help of galactic travel.

    But everything changes during the year 2205 when the first human have awoken to his psychic powers, and after that like aspreading disease, many more have also awaken to their psychic power and eventually, over 99% of human population have psychic power. The remaining that did not have any power have been shunned by societyandinworst case, enslaved or killed by others... After few years, Kaiser, a once famousscientificresearcher have reported to have cultivated his powers and reach the realm of immortality and his powers has exceeds any other humans. Because ofthat, he is being worshipped by all, and has been known as the¡°supreme ruler¡±.  But little did anyone know, those who have psychic powers have lost their interest in developing new technonogies and research. They only spend their time cultivating their psychic powers to reach the realm of immortality, and thus leads to a stop in human technology development.

    Raynor was living in hislaboratory deep under a mountain. After the non-psychic persecution, he has cecluded himself in his lab researching the secrets of space and wormhole for the development of warp drive. Like usual, when Raynor wasgoing through his notes of research, and he sense a pressence of someone behind him. Someone that he knew long ago..

    While still staring at his research notes, silence filled the roomfor few minutes. Finally Raynor ask

    [so, what brings the supreme ruler to this place?]

    [You are still focusing on your research as usual I see, and please call me by my name, we are once close friend am I right?]

    The other person replied with a smile that is obviously a fake smile once you look at it.

    [That does not answer my question Kaiser! you can enjoy your luxuries outside why waste your percious time talking to me?]

    Raynor ask again in a more firm voice and finally Kaiser reply,

    [The famous reseracher is researching wormholes, and will have a chance of developing a black hole instead. I as the fuler of mankind will have to confirm the safety of our race, thus here i am.]

    [If it is the creation of a black hole you fear, then I have safety measures installed. I¡¯ve found a way to vaporize it as long as it does not grow too big. Even if it swollows up everything in this room, the devices installed around this facility is still enough to vaporize it. But that is unlikely to happen, for i will contain it immediately, so you have nothing to worry about]

    While informing him, Raynor unconsciously touch a strange looking device on the table, and Kaiser look at it like he found something interesting, then immediately his expression turned to a gentler one and replied,

    [Look at yourself, how many years we have not seen each other, and now you have grown much older, and I am still as young as we first meet.. You too can enjoy the luxuries all you want, as long as you partake of the medicine and obtain the power, and by a few modifications you too can become immortal.. That is the result of our hard work of years of biological experimenting and you do not want to be a part of this?]

    Raynor remained silent as he is looking at Kaiser with the eyes of determination that nothing will change his mind.

    [Hahaaha.. I like your determination! Just to let you know, I¡¯ve always been jealous of you. I was the top in the Biological Engineering class, but then you came in and take my place. Not only that, but also you ace in every form of engineering and also including Quantum Physics, I¡¯ve always wonder, what¡¯s in your brain? How can it remember so much information?]

    After saying all that, Kaiser took a galnce at Raynor expression, and with a smile that scares young children away, immediately, the strange looking device that was on Raynor¡¯s table appeared in Kaiser¡¯s hand.

    [What, are you tryin..]

    Without Raynor finishing his sentence, a loud ¡®boom¡¯ sound exploded in the room where the largest device is located, and a shockwave travels through the room and many stuff overturned and broke, followed by a force that pull many small debris into a single spot, but does not stop and it grows stronger everytime it pulls in something, and eventually the pulling force pulled in many larger stuff.

    Raynor stood at his spot glaring at Kaiser who seems unaffected by what happened while he¡¯s trying his best to stand his ground without being pulled in, like a skinny person trying his hardest standing in the middle of a thunderstorm while vehicles are being overturned.

    [I hope that your ¡®safety measures¡¯ around this facility dosen¡¯t disappoint me, I shall put my trust in this famous scientist Raynor, which I shall pay my last respect.]

    After saying that, Kaiser disappear without leaving any trace, but leaving Raynor alone in the room with the force that pulled him even closer.

    Thats all Raynor remembers before blacking out and arriving at this cave.

    After getting all his informations and emotions sorted out, he have no clue how he survived the black hole and reach this place.

    But there is only one explanation that he can think of...

 Chapter 1: Survival

    Nothing could survive the gravitational pull of a black hole, even if it is the size of an atom. But why is he still in good condition, Raynor thought:

    (That is no black hole..)

    Realizing the fact that he is now in an unfamiliar place, that might be a wormhole, which means Raynor has been randomly transfered to an unknown place.

    Calming down his own excitement due to his success of creating his first wormhole even though it is because of the help(sabotaged) of another person, he now wants to find out his location. Unfortunately, all of his electronics devices has been broken badly, its like someone dropped all of his stuff from the third floor and ran them over with a tank. He might think that is the case because his body feels similar, but only without any injuries.

    While inside the cave, sunlight can be seen from a distance, which means there might be an exit nearby, Raynor walk towards the exit while thinking which country has he warpped to, but quickly denied the taught when he saw the sceneries outside.

    Rainforest as far as the eyes can see, with clear blue skies, clean air, sounds of animals and inscets, the type of environment that you can never find on earth but only exist in virtual reality.

    [Holy... ]

    Raynor thought of a possibility, although it is only a hypothesis the one could travel through time through the distortion of space time. He might have reach a period in the past where there is abundant forest on earth or maybe even a time before civilizations.. the more he think the more stress he become.

    He notice a stream of clear water flowing nearby and he suddenly have the urge to take a bath in it, because he is completely covered with sand and dirt.. quickly he ran towards the stream.This novel is published on a different platform.     While playing in the stream, he noticed an unfamiliar yet familiar face in the water¡¯s reflection, it is his face during his early twenties...

    Shocked by his own appearance, he immediately he spat the water out from his mouth, couldn¡¯t believe his eyes, he look a second time at his reflection.

    His past appearance is already an elderly man with long grey hair, and long beard and also a long eyebrow tied together with his hair because he is too busyfor a haircut.. but now he look 50 years younger..

    Couldn¡¯t figure out why he grew younger, he recall a time travel myth that says when you travel back in time too far, you will grow younger and eventually disintegrate into nothing.

    Not only he grew younger, he also feels younger and have much energy than before, not understanding everything that happens until now, he leaves it to figure it out at a later date.. after coming out of the water and wiping his body clean, he wants to explore the jungle to find any interesting stuff.. but a thought stop him from doing so..

    (What monsters might be lurking inside this forest?)

    Never saw a real forest before, Raynor imagination run wild..

    (There might be human size cockroach, spiders, mosquitoes, man-eating flowers with tentacles, fruits that explodes when you step on, plants that shots exploding fruits like a minigun, or maybe plants that generate their own nuclear energy...

    Impossible... but either way, i¡¯ll need protection to survive..)

    While thinking of what to do, he went back inside the cave. An important question came to his mind.. how to survive in a jungle..

    (First, the most important thing is, one must havea working computer, much better with AI installed,

    Second, finding a shelter.. for the computer

    Lastly is finding water and food

    even though I did not take any lesson for survival skill, one can still think of it through common sense...

    well, the first step is easy, i can just use the scraps from the electronics debris to build another computer, hopefully manage to recover some documents and programs..

    for shelter, this cave will do, water from the river, lastly, the hardest is to find food in the jungle..)

    Without wasting time, he quickly went to the metal debris to salvage any usable parts and started working on the computer...

    Little did he know that not far away from where he is, at an open field just outside the forest there¡¯s a large city with population of more than 50 000 people.

    But the city is currently being besiege by another force.

 Chapter 2: Fall of a Kingdom

    Armies of 20 thousands soldiers trying to break through the walls around the city of Miore. The armies in the city is roughly around 5 thousands clearly much lesser than the attacking armies. Siege weapon can be seen lining up at the back of the attacking armies while launching boulders of stone that has been set on fire into the city. Formations of mages at the middle of the attacking armies firing fireballs towards the walls which resulted in an explosion that reduce the durability while taking the life of the defending soldiers. Many siege ladders have been placed near the walls for the soldiers to climb onto the wall, while battering rams trying forced open the gate. Groups of flying beasts with their riders circling around the sky attacking soldiers on the wall.

    The city wall looks like it can fall any time soon, but the expression on the defending soldiers is one of determination for willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of their country. Some trying to shield incoming arrows, some carrying the injured away, some trying to intercept incoming fireball, some fighting with enemies that has climbed onto the wall, while some jumping down the wall while collapsing the enemies siege ladder.

    Somewhere inside the city not far from the wall, inside a healing facility where the wonded soldiers are being treated, a woman that looks like in her early twenties is treating a heavily wonded soldier with healing magic with 2 guards following behind her.

    [Your Highness.... must evacuate immediately.... walls won¡¯t hold much longer!]

    The soldier despite having a deep wound on his chest trying his best to convince the person that is healing him to escape.

    [This country needs me, I will stay with it if it is to fall!]

    [Your Highness! It may be your responsibility to protect this country, but it is your obligation to protect humanity from the next demon king! Only with the blood and children of the hero who defeated the demon king will we be able to defeat the next demon king and lead humanity to a better future! That¡¯s why your highness have to evacuate and preserve your bloodline!]

    One of the guards also try to persuade the woman to escape.

    [Isn¡¯t it the ruler of the attaking forces also one of the heroes that slain the demon king? There are 13 other heroes out there, it wont even make any different even if it less one.     The female continue to heal the wonded soldiers without even trying to leave. Her determination of not leaving touch the hearts of those around but also make them even more desperate. Suddenly, a soldier barge into the facility, kneel down and said,

    [Report! The eastern wall has been breached, our forces are barely holding the invading army!]

    The face of the guards and soldiers immediately turn pale and looks towards the woman, but she dosen¡¯t seem bothered by the news and continuing her healing. The 2 guards look at her and then look at each other nodding and then their expression turn into a serious one and walk towards her.

    [My apologies, your highness..]

    [For the survival of your bloodline, we have no choice..]

    Not even a clue of what her guards are saying, suddenly she was being lifted up by one the guards by carring her on the shoulder and walk towards the exit.

    [w.. wh.. what are you trying to do, put me down immediately!]

    The woman trying to get off by struggling and swinging her arms and legs hitting the guard on the back but getting hurt instead because of the hard armor he is wearing. Outside the facility, there are already 2 horses prepared for the guards and they each get on a horse while carrying her. The remaining soldiers around them salute them with a smile on their face, the 2 guards return the salute and ride towards the southern gate which connect to the forest and is their planned escape road. The women carried on the horse look at the expression of the soldiers at the back and realized that it has all been set up earlier, that they plan to kidnap her for her to escape from the enemy.

    Watching them leave the area, all the soldiers in the healing facility sigh a relieve and laugh altogether. After all of them calm down one soldier said,

    [Let¡¯s leave a surprise present for our enemies before we move on to the afterlife.]

    Not long after the party of 3 people, 2 guards and the queen of Miore Kingdom pass through the empty row of houses in the residential area, and leave the southern gate with the help of the soldiers stationed there. The 2 guards stop for awhile.

    [I do not detect any enemy presence in the forest. Either they are good at concealing their presence or there are no enemy at all..]

    The soldiers stationed around the southern gate move into 2 groups, one is to delay any pursuing enemy, the other smaller group will follow them into the jungle and leave the area and escape to another country. They move slowly towards the forest while paying attention to their surroundings. The sun has started to set down and the surroundings is abit dark with a red hue. Suddenly a flash comming from their back and followed by a large explosion not long after. The woman look back and was horrified by the sight. The once city castle is covered in flame and is crumbling down slowly.

    [Don¡¯t worry your highness, by now the enemy soldiers that have filled the castle in search of you have been killed alongside with the important resources, so that the enemy will not gain any benefits. That is the last struggle that our remaining brave soldiers decided.]

    The group of people travel into the jungle while the woman can only watch as the country that she has govern for so many years crumbled right in front of her without having the means to do anything about it.

 Chapter 3: Dangerous substance

    (The Heck, why does it trying to restore my browsing history!)

    Raynor previously gathered any usable material he can find in the pile of debris and finally completed his roughly made computer. He collected every broken memory storage chip, trying to restore any information he can find, but unfortunately more than 95% of information have gone. The rest has been corrupted but he managed to restore it and is now moving them to a more stable storage.

    His roughly made computer is too bulky, like the size of a vehicle, not for carrying around. The processing speed is much slower compare to the smartphone that he had before. But he had no choice but to go with it for now. Although he is not satisfied with it, and there are still many improvemnet that can be done, but he decided to delay the improvements later.

    He has worked on creating the computer for almost a whole day, and never eaten anything. Besides from making the computer, he also created a simple Ray Gun for protection and a simple scanner for detecting stuff that are save to consume.     The Ray Gun is as huge as a bazooka and it can shatter large boulders, has targeting system, solar powered with unlimited ammo but with cooldown time of half an hour when overheat. But he can make a similiar weapon at the size of his palm when he has better equipment.

    Before heading out to the jungle, he pick up a sealed box that he had beside him and open it. He found the box while going through the debris which he had put away long time ago. The box contain a small bottle of chemical. It reminds him of the days when he has his research together with his partner ¡®Kaiser¡¯. The result should be a one that could cure all illness and if possible even aging so that there will be no more death.

    But the outcome ended up not only mutating the biological aspect of the test subject, causing them to be able to manipulate the surrounding matters, causing unnatural phenomenon. But the side effect of it is that it changes the heart of a person, causing the darker side of a person to take over.

    At first, he wanted to try out for himself, who dosen¡¯t want to obtain power beyond their natural ability, but eventually he decided to shut down the project and sealed the substance when he saw what it could do to affecte a person. But his research partner thinks the opposite, he poisoned the entire population with it, and he created an even more powerful substance for himself.

    The substance that he hold in his hand now is an improve version but a lesser volume that Raynor himself created for curiosity purpose but never use, and is sealed away for many years. While only holding the bottle, it brings back many memories. It is no doubt a very dangerous substance that shouldn¡¯t exist.

    Without hesitation, he gulp down the entire bottle..

    [Alright, lets go out walk a few round, then return and record any changes to the body. This should be a fine data to record.]

    After drinking the entire bottle, he seems fired up and immediately went to explore the jungle.

    There are few reasons why Raynor decided to take the substance, one of it is to obtain any data from the experiment that he himself conducted and see what effect could a different mixture do to his body. Another reason is he decided to survive in the jungle, he needs to have an advantage to any dangers or wild beast in terms of biological aspect. The last reason is for a whole day he didn¡¯t eat anything, he needs something to fill his empty stomach, so he decided to take the substance..

    While walking through the jungle, he use his scanner and scan every corner and everything he can find, but to his surprise, there are many edible stuff, even more that he expected. There are many strange looking fruits, leaf, mushrooms, strange grass and even stone that his scanner says safe for consumption. Not minding it at all, he carry everything back and store them as much as he can.

    Going to and fro many times, the cave has been packed with many stuffs.

    His collector instinct has activated.

 Chapter 4: The story of heroes and demons

    Early in the morning, the group of people that escape from the city started packing their stuff after resting for a night in the jungle when they have traveled a distance from the city. But none of them could rest properly. They take turns for nightwatch, they didn¡¯t even start any fire to prevent enemy dectection. Every soldier that they bring along is highly trained in covert mission so that they may hide from the enemy and not leave any trace to follow.

    The only female in the group, which is their queen also didn¡¯t have a proper rest. She had hope that everything that happened till now is only just a dream, and that she could wake up anytime soon. But she know that she can¡¯t wish for the impossible, she hope that they will reach the next kingdom beyond this forest soon and the leader of that kingdom will take them in.

    The leader of that kingdom is also once a friend of hers, and is also a hero who slain the demon king many years ago.

    225 years ago, a demon king appear in the demon territory. Soon after that the demons started to invade the land of humans in orderto sieze the land and plunder their resources and to enslaved people. Then the war started between the 2 races. But the demons were stronger than the humans and the humans were force to retreat.

    After 15 years of war when humans were on the brink of extinction, 15 heroes were chosen and they started to lead the humans into victory after victory. Their powers grow stronger after every battle and the humans have finally taken back all of their lands.

    After 70 years since the heroes first appear, the heroes have finally slain the demon king and force the demons back to their land where they came from, which is the furthest north where the cold wind can even break a normal human¡¯s bone. After that, the humans never see any demons again.

    Nobody knows where the few heroes came from, even the heroes themself can¡¯t even remember clearly where they came from. When the heroes first appear they were just a 15 year old brat, and 70 years have past since then.     After the war ended, humans need to start developing again. Many nations were formed, as many as a hundred nations scattred across the world. 10 of the nations were ruled by the heroes, the remaining 5 heroes no one has ever seen them again.

    The 10 heroes who each ruled 10 different nations has different governing system. There were 6 male and 4 female hero rulers. The heroes who never tasted luxury before tested it 1<sup>st</sup> time in their life, and makes them wanting even more. Of course there are some who shared the luxury with their citizens. Those heroes who wanted to obtain the luxuries for themself started developing on military and exhausted the citizens.

    140 years later after the fall of the demons, one of the hero started a war with his neighbouring country, ¡®the Kingdom of Miore¡¯, which is also ruled by a hero. And currently, the kingdom of Miore has been removed from the map and no longer exist.

    The previous ruler of Miore, which is called Queen Yuria, is now on her way to another kingdom, through the jungle while hiding from the enemy.

    An average human¡¯s lifespan is around 100 years, but why Yuria, who ruled over the kingdom for more than a century has the appearance of an early twenties young girl? The reason is, the power and body of the heroes grew stronger everytime they won a battle against the demons, and it even affected their lifespan.

    Throughout history, many people trained to prolonged their lifespan, but the maximum ever recorded is 999 years. No one ever exceeded that amount except other races, especially the elf race, which their average lifespan is more than a thousand years. But no one knows how much are the lifespan of the heroes.

    Yuria herself governs her kingdom and treats her citizens like her own family. She even open her own healing facility and healed many people. She is a healer class and has many advance healing magic. She is not good with combat, also not good in attacking magic, so her job in the demon war is by providing support.

    The kingdom that Yuria is travelling to is called ¡®Kouma Kingdom¡¯. The ruler is called Queen Erina. Yuria is now worried wether Erina would accept them into the kingdom or remove them. Erina governs her citizens like a spoiled princess, but did not focus much on military aspect.

    Yuria and Erina were once good friends, but they each went their own way because of their different ideals of governing a nation.

    Yuria¡¯s group consists of 50 well trained soldiers that formed a formation that surrounds her and 2 of her guards in the middle, which could protect them against dangers from any direction.

    While they were still moving foward, suddenly, a few soldiers at the back of their formation let out a loud shriek, and when the rest of the soldiers turn back to see what happen, all they saw was just a few headless soldiers.

 Chapter 5: Encounter

    Previously, while the group of soldiers escorting Yuria through the forest to reach the next kingdom, few soldiers at the back of the formation suddenly lost their heads. The rest that are still alive stunned at the situation, the blood of the dead soldiers sprayed around, and when the sound of their body fall to the ground, it make the rest came back to their senses.

    [Enemy attack! Prepare for battle!]

    The shout lead the rest to draw out their swords and quickly move into formation while shielding Yuria and her 2 guards in at the middle. The rest of the soldiers form a circle while facing outwards while detecting the enemy¡¯s location.

    All they detected are a total of 10 enemies surrounding them on different direction. Each and every one of them are many times stronger than their well-trained soldiers. 10 enemies consist of 8 assassin class and 2 warrior class. Their enemy clearly wants to exterminate them.

    [Shit, we are clearly outmatched.]

    One of Yuria¡¯s guard who is called Robert said with a troubled expression. The other one who is called Sebastian have a more calmer expression said,

    [We just have to get past them and continue towards our destination as fast as we can!]

    While he decided to outrun from the enemy, the enemy already rushed into the formation of soldiers and killed few people. But the formation defence is also not weak, it cause the enemies to have a hard time killing the soldiers, but its only a matter of time before the formation break.

    [All units, do everything to contain the enemy! All Hail Queen Yuria!]

    [Hail Queen Yuria!!!]

    All the soldiers shouts in unison after the guard Sebastion gave the command to the soldiers, and suddenly the aura surrounding the soldiers increase tremendously, and even their fighting spirit and power increase many times. They have used a secret technique that increases their attacking power beyond their capability for a short amount of time at the cost of their life. The soldiers have determined to sacrifice everything in order to contain or to kill their enemies for the sake of their queen.

    After that every soldiers break free from their formation and charge towards the enemies, while opening an escape road for their queen and her guards to escape.

    Using the opening chance, Robert and Sebastian grab Yuria, each rode a horse, and escape quickly.

    Leaving the soldiers that are occupying the enemies behind, the party of 3 people continue riding foward as fast as they can. Suddenly, they felt 2 presence pursuing them from behind and they are getting even closer.

    [Shit, they shouldn¡¯t have escape from our soldiers by now, it must be extra 2 enemies that are hiding while waiting for a chance to kill us!]

    Robert said while forcing the horse to run even faster.

    After a short while, even with the horse full speed, the 2 pursuers still maintaining their distance and drawing even closer.

    [Your Highness,... .. ...you must survive and lead a better life..]

    Suddenly Sebastian turn to Yuria and said something with a serious expression.

    [What.. are.. you.. ]

    Yuria turn a pale expression, not sure why did he suddenly say stuff like this.

    [We believe that your highness will be able to survive this hardship because of the oracle, but we must also do our part to contain the enemy.

    We hope that your highness will be able to live a better life without us, and to encounter your awaited person.]

    After that, Robert and Sebastian jump down from the horse and dash towards the location of the pursuers, while leaving Yuria on her horse that is still moving foward.

    Yuria looking at the the spot where her 2 guards vanished, without even having a chance to stop them or saying goodbye. Tears fall from her eyes for she has been left alone to flee by everyone. Everyone sacrifice their life for her and leave her alone to survive because of an oracle that she is not sure is it true or is it even about her.

    The oracle first appear few years after the demon war said,

    (When crisis emerge from the North and South, Under the earth, and other realm, the Goddess of Healing with her Fateful encounter and their followers will be the hope for mankind¡¯s survival.)

    Yuria dosen¡¯t even consider herself as a goddess, how will she be able to save humanity, when she can¡¯t even save herself and her citizens. Despite how she show her boldness in front of her citizens, she is actually timid and very scared inside.     While still moving forward with her horse, suddenly, a large object came flying from the back and smash into the ground, causing the horse to stumble. As a result, causing Yuria to fall from the horse and rolled off few meters away.

    The fall has cause her injuries and bone fracture all over. Despite the injuries, she still tried to get up and escape because of her fear of being killed.

    [Eh? A human?]

    Suddenly she heard a voice just directly in front of her.

    She immediately look up frightened as she feared the enemy has reach her.

    What she saw was a young man.

    A young man around the age of early twenties, with tattered clothes and strange armor. A helm that does not cover the head entirely, with a transparent material covering the eyes, a bulky gauntlet that is not suitable for hand movement, with one hand holding a large cylinder shaped metal object and the other hand holding a half eaten mushroom..

    While she has doubts that this young man is one of the pursuer or not, another 4 older man with weapon on their hands came from the path behind her and stopped while looking at the both of them curiously.

 Chapter 6: Idiot

    While looking at the situation, Raynor can roughly guess what is happening. He is witnessing an event called cannibalism where he has read that primitive humans do to each other. Looking at the injured women in front of him with compassionate eyes, he has no idea what to do next..

    [Oi, so this is the queen of Miore? One of the few heroes?]

    [She looks younger than expected, also has a pretty face and good body.. heheheh]

    Yuria have no idea why the young man ask her to close her eyes, but she did what she was told. She dosen¡¯t feel any malice coming from him, and surprisingly, his words gives her a sense of security and calms her heart down. She thinks that the man has something up his sleeve, if not, he can¡¯t be that confident against few people.

    [Can¡¯t we all put down our weapons and talk this through? Must we all kill each other to satisfy ourselves? If you all have any troubles, you can look to me for help, killing is not always the answer to solve problems..]

    Raynor turn to the people who wanted to kill him and use a polite tone to convince them to lay down their weapon... But they still look down on him and,

    [Just kill this idiot already.]

    After finishing his sentence, one of the man throws a knife towards him.

    Just when the knife left the hand of the person, suddenly, a light brighter than the afternoon sun flashes multiple times, and a thunderous sound exploded, just like a close up thunder strike during a thunderstorm. Sparks flew everywhere and few trees fell down and animals around the area flee as far as they can.

    Before the shots was fired, Raynor already locked on his targets onto his weaponry system, and adjust the energy output to maximum. He also enabled the auto fire mode and defence mechanism to test their functionality, and also to collect their data. This is a good chance to collect data, so without hesitation, Raynor take this opportunity to test his weapon¡¯s maximum power output.

    After the chaos was over, Raynor heard a notification,

    [Projectile intercepted, Maximum Power shots fired multiple times, weapon overheat.

    Enemy vital signs detected. Vital signs weak, will stop in approximately few seconds.]

    Raynor surprised by the information that he got while looking at the bodies lying on the ground that are still alive. Normally if a person received a Max Power shot, they will not survive while a limb or two being blown off. But the few people in front of him are still alive looking at him with hatred and fear even though they can¡¯t move due to high shock and might pass away few seconds later.

    [Maybe these people¡¯s resistance are stronger than normal humans?]

    Raynor looks at them curiously, deep in his thoughts while their vital signs slowly came to a stop.

    The thoughts making Raynor to have a sense of insecurity and wanting to modify and make a stronger weapon in order to survive.

    After few minutes, Raynor turn back and decided to head back to the cave.

    On the ground, he saw a young girl curled up in a ball, trembling.

 Chapter 7: Otherworld

    Somewhere inside the jungle, beside a certain river, Yuria is cleaning off the dirt from her body while applying healing magic to her wounds.

    Raynor is cooling down his weapon beside the river. Steam rises when he dipped the overheated part of the weapon into the water.

    Nothing lewd happen though...

    [Is that weapon an artifact?]

    Yuria asked him while looking curiously at the weapon that Raynor is carrying.

    [I don¡¯t think it can be classified as an artifact, what¡¯s an artifact?]

    [An artifact is an item enhanced by high amount of magic energy, and can be considered as a national treasure.]

    [eh..]

    Yuria noticed that the guy has been staring at her for quite a while, since she started to treat her injuries. Feeling a bit awkward, getting stared at by a guy she dosen¡¯t even know.. and she realized that she dosen¡¯t even know the name of the person that saved her life.

    [erm.. I¡¯m sorry, i haven''t gotten your name yet]

    [Raynor Radon, you can call me Raynor.]

    [Nice to meet you, I¡¯m Yuria, Queen of Miore... .. not anymore...]

    Raynor saw that Yuria went depress when she mention her status, and he remembered that the few guy back then mention something about her being the queen of something and wanted to capture her. He can roughly guess what had happened to her and her country.

    Raynor quickly change the topic and ask a question that is on his mind for quite some time.

    [Just now your instant recovery is that have something to do with the magic energy you mention earlier?]

    Yuria suddenly stare at him with a serious expression after he finished his question.

    [You don¡¯t know what magic is?]

    Realizing that he may have asked a stupid question, Raynor gave no reply and can only laugh awkwardly.

    [Seriously? What have you been doing the whole time? Where do you come from?]

    [errm... as far as I know, I have been living in this forest the entire time, so I haven''t met with anyone and don¡¯t know anything.. ahaha..]

    This world is called Ruthena, which consists of one major continent, with many island surrounding its main land and is surrounded by vast ocean. No one knows what lies beyond the vast ocean. There are 115 countries scattered across every part of the land.

    Humans coexist with other race called elf, dwarf, beastkin, and dragonkin. Each of the races have their own country, but they are also present at some human countries for various reasons.

    Yuria also explains about the past 200 years and the war with the demons and the heroes.

    After listening to every information that Yuria offers, Raynor begins to get confused. What he get is nothing sound like earth at all. Even the magic power is different from the psychic power that he knows of. Magic power in this world is like a nature¡¯s law that an effect in everything around it.

    For example, psychic power is like a person lifting an object by using his own hands, but its not a physical hand. Magic power is a person telling the nature to lift an object by generating wind or something else. Both has its own energy consumption. Raynor has arrived at this conclusion after hearing the details from Yuria.

    One is a human¡¯s own ability, the other one is using the law of nature. A law different from any other law that Raynor knows of. It even breaks the common law of physics, and it can be classified as dark energy which no scientist has any idea of what it is.

    Aside from the magic energy, Raynor also came to a conclusion that this place is not the earth he knows. He may have been transported to another planet, or maybe even another universe. Raynor begin to worry that if this is another universe, will the law of this different universe changes everything that he knows of. Will he be able to apply his knowledge here?

    While he is still deep in thoughts, a sound interrupted his thoughts.

    [Installing programs and systems completed. Your computer is ready. Changing Main control system to AI...]

    Yuria is observing Raynor carefully while he is deep in thoughts. She even waved her hand in font of his face but get no respond. Suddenly, she was startled by a sudden voice of a female that is coming from Raynor. She look around but found no other person. She look curiously at Raynor and ask,

    [Is there any other person around?]

    [ah.. nope, there¡¯s no one other than us. Can you get ready, I¡¯ll bring you to my place.]

    [eh? You are bringing me to your place?]

    [yup, what¡¯s wrong?]

    [n..nothing!]

    After that, they begin to pack their stuff and Yuria followed behind Raynor and head towards the cave Raynor used as a base.

    Upon arriving at the cave, Raynor went in first. Yuria thought that it would be a wooden shack or a brick house, but she was disappointed when she saw an ordinary cave with strange metallic frame surrounding the cave entrance. But she still followed behind Raynor and head inside the cave.

    The moment when they step inside the cave, a familiar voice resounded inside the cave,

    Yuria once again heard the female voice and look at Raynor confusingly. She noticed that he is nodding with a satisfied expression, which makes her even more confused.

    When they went deeper into the cave, Yuria saw a mountain of raw food scattered on the ground. She frowned looking at the food that consists of fruits, herbs, fungus and unknown stuffs. Those raw materials will spoil soon if not process properly, and Raynor just dumped them on the ground like a rubbish dump.

    When they reach the end of the cave, Yuria noticed a strange looking lump of metal. Beside it, is a large glass frame that shines with light and weird patterns.

    Yuria suddenly have a feeling of deja vu. She feels that she has somehow seen a similar object before, but can¡¯t remember where exactly has she seen it.

    She feels like her mind was drawn to the object as she move closer, having the feeling that she can remember something if she managed to touch the object.

    Standing in front of the object, Yuria reach out her hands, not touching it, but grabbing the air like there should be something there to press and click. Looking at her hand performing weird movement, it feels like her hand moved by itself through past experience.

    Suddenly, a word along with some long forgotten memories resurfaced inside her mind.

 Chapter 8: Memories

    Yuria''s POV

    .

    My name is Yuria. The Queen of Miore. Or, not anymore.

    I was among one of the many heroes chosen by the kingdom 200 years ago to face against the demon armies to save mankind from annihilation.

    Many years have passed since then, all I remember is that we heroes came from a far away place that is more advanced than the kingdom. But we have searched the entire continent and can¡¯t find any place like that.

    So we came to a conclusion that our home place is hidden deep in the mountain or forest that no one has ever discovered, or across the vast ocean, or has been destroyed by the demon armies.

    Many years later, after we gave up on finding our origin, most of us have founded our own kingdom. But one of the heroes started to wage war against my kingdom. Because of his thirst for power and wealth. He leads his armies and marched into my kingdom to declare war. Although war among humans is not uncommon, but the sight of heroes declaring war against other heroes makes me question the meaning of a hero.

    Many deaths occurred because of this war and many civilians has become homeless and refugees. After the last city of my kingdom has fallen, I escaped and survived because of the sacrifice of my subjects.

    I even almost got myself captured by my enemies until when I meet with him. The young boy that holds a powerful artifact that can eliminate four B ranked warrior in an instant. He even emits a vibe that feels familiar and out of the world.

    I unknowingly begin to trust him and followed him to his place. There, I found a mysterious object inside the cave that he was living in.The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

    The object seems familiar, and just by looking at it, makes my mind hurt. But I endured the pain because I have a feeling that it will bring back something that I lost long ago. As expected, something awoken inside me, like a memory of a forgotten dream suddenly resurfaced inside my mind.

    I was just a regular school girl back on earth that spends most of my time in front of the computer.

    But one day my whole class was suddenly transported to another world.

    Their daily routine is almost the same, since there is a lot of food lying around inside the cave, Yuria spends her time processing them so that it can be more edible and can keep longer. At first, she was shocked when she saw Raynor eating raw food like it was a normal thing to do. Then she decided to prepare a proper meal for him, because she still has to rely on him to bring her to the next kingdom.

    Every day, she spends around 2 hours teaching him about the general knowledge of magic energy, and a bit of healing magic. Although she is not sure whether he can use magic or not, but she still explains everything in details.

    The magic energy in this world is divided into 2 categories. One is elemental magic, the other one is non- elemental magic. As you can guess, elemental magic is ¡®earth, fire, water, wind, thunder, light and darkness.¡¯ Non-elemental magic has more variety, healing, body-strengthening etc. There are also new types being discovered often.

    Aside from learning magic from Yuria, Raynor other than eating and doing his daily business, spends all of his time making electronics stuffs and scavenging through the metal debris.

    Sleeping is not on the list. Yuria was also bothered by it. Before she sleeps, she saw him working on his devices. After she wakes up, he is still working on his devices. Yuria asked him before regarding that, but he said,

    [I¡¯m also not sure. I¡¯ve not slept since I¡¯ve arrived here. I don¡¯t even feel a bit of tiredness.]

    After that, Yuria did not further question him, since he has no explanation himself.

    When Yuria¡¯s curiosity takes over, she went to where Raynor is working with his devices and observe him. What she saw was, he is making something like a bulletproof vest, with circuit patterns in the internal part of it.     During the night of the sixth day after they meet each other, Raynor is basically finished with his stuff. He stuffs all of his programs, systems and around 2 PB of memories (2000TB) into his storage in the shape of a backpack. He also make it comes with a set of military outfit costume. It has an upgraded weapon and defense system installed on it.

    Right now, they are prepared to leave the next day. It is already late at night, and Yuria is asleep. Raynor on the other hand has not even slept once. And he has no intention to sleep. He is now meditating. What he learns from the magic lessons taught by Yuria is, one needs to feel and experience the mana in the surroundings first in order to use magic.

    What he is doing now is he is trying to feel the mana by meditating. The weather outside is raining heavily, which makes the flow of mana in the atmosphere denser. One can easily feel the flow of mana during rain and during late night where there is less distraction. He uses this chance in order to feel and also to learn more about magic energy.

    The result from his meditation is that he does feel something different in the atmosphere compare to earth. When he started to focus more on that abnormality, he felt it became more obvious and lively. Like a gentle wind that surrounds his body, stimulating every fiber of his being. He has never experienced something like that before. It¡¯s like the surroundings have lives and wills of its own. And when he embraces that feeling, he feels that it has started to change something inside of him..

    [Master! 2 humanoid life forms detected 500m away. Heading in this direction.]

    While he is still meditating, the device that he placed beside him gave off an alert.

    [hmm...]

    No response from Raynor...

    [Master.. ?]

    [mm...]

    BZZAP!

    [OUCH!]

    The device released a small amount of voltage towards Raynor, and causes him to jump up.

    Shocked that someone is coming directly towards their location, Yuria quickly grabs something that looks like a pistol and standby near the entrance. That pistol weapon is something that she asked Raynor to make for her. It functions basically like a ranged stun gun for self defence.

    While they are waiting near the entrance, they can already hear the footsteps of 2 people outside the cave.

    While the sound of the footsteps became louder, Raynor and Yuria hold their equipment tightly while staring at the entrance of the cave.

    And when the 2 silhouette of a person can be seen outside of the cave,

    [Robert! Sebastian!]

    Yuria calls out the names of her loyal guards that have seperated from her few days ago.

    After that, Yuria dropped her weapon and ran towards the entrance for a reunion..

 Chapter 11: Undead

    Yuria ran towards the entrance of the cave, where Sebastian and Robert are. She has been relying a lot on those two for the past many years. They have accompanied her in many events, saving her through many dangerous situations, and finally, holding back the enemies to ensure her safety.

    She hasn¡¯t heard from them since their parting few days ago. She was planning to search for them after she arrives at her destination, where they are supposed to go to.

    But now, there is no need to do so, because they are standing right outside of the cave waving at her. Yuria cheerfully ran towards them to greet them.

    But suddenly, Yuria stopped when she almost reach them.

    It is past midnight, naturally the lighting is not clear enough. But when she went closer, almost 2m distance between them, she can see clearly. She looks them in the eyes, but there are no eyes at all. All she sees are 2 dark spots with a bit of glowing red inside.

    Yuria face went pale, and she tripped and falls backwards. She trembled and tears falls from her eyes. She now understands what has happened to them.

    Her 2 favorite loyal guards that accompanied her everywhere for many years, have long been dead. And the reason why they are standing in front of her now is because a necromancer is using a high-level dark magic to control them after they died. They have basically became an Undead Puppet.

    The 2 undeads move a step forward towards her, and they draws out their swords, and raise them above her while pointing downwards.

    Her enemies now wanted her dead. They wanted to strike fear within her before finishing her off by using her own trusted loyal soldiers to kill her.

    She has always trusted her life and safety towards them, and they have never once disappoint her. But now, they wanted to take her life away. The feeling of despair that her own faithful guardians are now pointing their swords towards her, and she has now no guard to rely on.     Someone is standing right in front of her face..

    Raynor stepped in between them, caught the blade of the sword and crushed it.

    Raynor then look at the broken sword and frowned. His action just now has slightly damaged his titanium made mechanical gauntlet. This means that the material used for the sword is harder than titanium.

    He then turns his gaze towards the 2 undeads in front of him. They are also looking at him, while the other one is pointing his sword towards him.

    [EMP Burst Activate!]??Raynor commanded his weaponary system throughsound function.

    Only a short sentence, and it causes the 2 undeads shake aggressively. The next moment, they fall to the ground and stop moving.

    The 2 dark robe man begin to discuss among themself, while the injured person begin to meditate again and his complexion slowly returning to normal.

Rank A can use attacks at the level of rank S if they managed to trap their opponent into their Space. But the Space that I controls has no offensive ability, it only allows me to heal more effectively and also me to revive a person that have died recently.

    Rank S other than the heroes are very rare and mostly non-existance. No one knows how many there are. Most of them live in isolation.

    Raynor¡¯s detector can only detect humanoid life forms and animals types. It wouldn¡¯t be able to detect unknown life form even though it is near them. It will be harder to detect if those unidentified life forms didn¡¯t emit any heat or electromagnetic waves. The only way to prevent ambush from enemies that he can¡¯t detect is to collect every sample of unidentified life forms, process and register its data into his computer, then only his detector can detect any kind of recorded life forms in its detection radius.

 Chapter 14: Magic Crystal

    Although Yuria is considered a Rank S, but she never had any combat experience before. During the demon war, she plays the role of Healer and Supporter. The shock wave has acted as a barrier and prevented the slime from advancing any further. Moreover, the body of the slime begin to disintegrate from the force of the shock wave. After few moments, what¡¯s left of the slime is only a green colored crystal that dropped on the ground.

    From what he gets from Yuria¡¯s explanation, he concluded that the crystal is something similar to a battery. It can help to power daily appliances, like lamp, stove and such stuffs, to creating weapons for war, and also to help people in magic training. It is basically an important source of natural energy for the civilization of this world. And it can be found from defeating monster and mining for it. The stronger the monster, the bigger the magic crystal that is in the body of the monster. The bigger the crystal is, the more magic energy is stored inside the crystal, and the pureness of the energy is much higher.

    Although if you mine deep into the earth, you can easily find large magic crystal, but the deeper you go, the more dangerous it becomes.

    There is something called a Dungeon in this world. It is similar to a cave system, but it is infested with many dangerous monsters. And the deeper you go, the stronger the monster gets.     They also met with few other monsters. A total of 3 Slime, 7 Mountain Wolves that comes in a pack, a Crimson Spider, 5 Goblins, and 3 Orcs. All of it does not hesitate to attack them and is killed by Raynor. They now have in possession of 4 Green Crystal, 1 Red Crystal, and 8 Clear Crystal.

    Magic Crystal also has its own attributes. 7 different colored crystals for each magic attributes, and also a clear crystal for non-elemental attributes.

    Raynor also used the crystals to train his magic perception when he has nothing to do during the entire journey. But it has not much affect compare to the first time. He also noticed that the changes towards his body has stopped. He has no idea whether the changes within his body, is good or bad. He can only do a full body scan to gather the information within his body. Unfortunately, currently he dosen¡¯t have the suitable equipment to conduct a body scan.

    He plans to find and gather all the necessary materials requires to build his equipment in the city that they are heading. He also need a place to work on his equipment, like the laboratory he has back on earth.

    After the long journey, they have already arrived at the edge of the forest.

 Chapter 15: Civilization

    Outside the forest, farms and pastures stretches as far as the eyes can see. Few wooden houses can be seen scattered across the vast empty land. Many types of animals can be seen across the vast field, grazing on the grass and galloping around, farmers plowing the fields and herding the animals.

    Raynor looks around, admiring the scenery that he has never seen before. A farmer walk pass them, and Raynor stare carefully at him.

    [Alien civilization..]

    Raynor spoke the word that came to his mind. Basically, he classified what he sees here as Alien Civilization. Yuria does not count as alien, because she is from Earth. The 4 guys that he meet back then, he first thought that they were earth¡¯s primitive people. But now, after realizing he is in another world, he realized that he is surrounded by alien civilization. He is more interested in the civilization and technology instead of their biology.

    Aliens is what the people back on earth always look out for, after they begin their space exploration. Humans have tried many ways to detect unknown intelligent life form, but to no avail. But right now, Raynor is in the midst of an alien civilization. Although they look similar to humans, but they are actually an intelligent life form not from earth.

    Raynor looks curiously at everything he came across. He even wandered off and headed towards a different direction because he was mesmerized by their agriculture activities, only to be pulled back by Yuria.

    Yuria is heading towards the direction of the city while pulling Raynor¡¯s arm. She is in a rush, because she needs to get to the city by sundown, before the city gate closes. There, they will stay a night at an inn and the next day, she plans to have an audience with the Queen of this Kingdom. So she has no time for Raynor¡¯s sightseeing.

    They reach the main road that leads to the city not long after they left the forest. The main road seems much busier with human activity. Sometimes, groups of adventurers pass them by, and sometimes, carriages pulled by horses and bulls can be seen.

    Yuria noticed that the people that pass by keep staring at Raynor. When she tried to examine him why does he get more attention from the surroundings than her, she realized that his attire is what makes him stands out. Raynor¡¯s attire is similar to a modern day bulletproof armor. Attire as thick as a metal armor, with strange materials and designs that you can¡¯t find anywhere in this world.

    When it is almost sunset, they can finally see the city walls in the distant. In front of the gate, there are many tents and multitudes of people outside the city walls. Those tents are clearly for those people to stay, and the amount of it, is like a colony of ants, jam-packed in a small area. Yuria felt heartbroken looking at the sight of that. She recognized that these people are refugees, denied entry into the city.     The place that had war recently around this area is only her kingdom. And these people flee to this place long before the war even started. Yuria and Raynor couldn¡¯t tell if anyone is following them, because neither of them have any experience of fighting against other humans. The stronger you are, the more battle experience you accumulate. And the easier you can detect anyone that is tailing you, and can even detect hostile gazes from hidden enemies. But neither Yuria nor Raynor react to the people that are tailing them. This let everyone know that they have no combat experience, and might be weak even though they possess weapons and weird armor.

    A criminal organization naturally will have strong people. And among the group that surrounds Raynor and Yuria, the strongest is Rank E, the rest is Rank F.     The bandits didn¡¯t expect to receive a reply like that. Normally their victims will give what they demanded and beg for their life. They rarely encounter any retaliation from their prey. But in this kind of circumstances, they have their own way of doing things. They are called bandits, naturally their jobs is to plunder and kill.

    One of the bandits surrounding them steps forward with a grin on his face. He is the first one chosen to step out and eliminate any resistance. They obviously don¡¯t need all 8 of them to settle 2 young and helpless civilian.

    Raynor looks at the man in front and those surrounding him, he is troubled on what to do. All of them has large body build for a normal human, and they have fierce looks with scars and piercings all over. Compare to those that he met back in the forest, they look stronger and they have twice their amount.

    As Raynor poses a defensive stance, the bandit became excited, because he finally has someone to play with. Normally, their preys are too submissive, which makes life too boring for a bandit.

    Not long after, a man with a formal suit and glasses came out of the guardhouse. He looks curiously at Yuria and Raynor. Normally, a noble that comes from other Kingdom will arrive in a carriage with escorts. But Yuria came by foot and with tattered low class attire, with a young brat as companion. He begins to suspect whether they stole a noble¡¯s identification in order to enter the city.

    [Queen Yuria, Queen Erina has noticed of your arrival and have prepared a place for your accommodation in the castle. Your audience with the Queen will be held tomorrow.]

    After that, Izanami escorts Yuria and Raynor into the city and leads them to the castle. Izanami looks at Raynor and Raynor stares at her.     Inside the royal castle, Yuria has been assigned to a luxurious room, with maids taking care of her needs, and she was provided with proper meals, a bath and a fine change of clothing. Whereas Raynor got a normal room with only meal provided.

Naoko has been assigned as an intern at the Kingdom¡¯s military mage, and now has been assigned temporarily to assist Yuria, and also a magic teacher for Raynor and Yuria.

    Although Naoko is just a Rank C Mage, but Yuria still learns from her. Yuria got all her magic knowledge and experience from the wars and battles in her past, but Naoko got all her knowledge from learning. She learns from histories, and also from few different experts that pass down their life long knowledge. It can be said that Yuria has many experiences but little knowledge, and Naoko has much knowledge but little experience. Furthermore, all Yuria knows is only about healing magic.

    What Raynor found when he begins to analyze magic crystals is that they emit waves of harmless radiation. It can also create a large harmless radiation field that can act as x-rays. Speaking of x-rays, he remembered that he wanted to scan his own body for any anomalies caused by the mana particles in the atmosphere.

    There are many glass chamber devices all around the room, and inside of it are raw materials and crystals and also fruits, plants, daily tools and accessories in it. The purpose of it is to analyze them all, and also to find out their elemental compositions. But no matter what he analyze, there is a specific type of particle that exists in everything, which is Particle X. Mana Particle.

 Chapter 22: Adventurer Guild

    Five months have passed after Yuria begin reorganizing the refugees, it took her longer than expected, but all of them have been assimilated into the population of Kouma Kingdom without drastically damaging the economy.

    All refugees have been assigned to different cities and villages around the kingdom and have been given jobs according to their talents. Some even pioneered new lands and setting up new villages. The vast amount of extra population, didn¡¯t affect the economy, but rather improved it. New workforce in the mining, farming, and fishing industry, even new adventurers flooded the local adventurer guild. Adventurers are able to provide raw materials from monsters and beast that they hunted, and are also able to bring back rare materials from dungeons, and also able to prevent an outbreak of monsters that will threatened normal civilians. Law breakers among the refugees seems to underestimate the security force of this Kingdom.

    Although the security force is made up of mostly women,  but they are the exact opposite with the soft and gentle stereotype. The level of feminism in this Kingdom is at the highest compare to all the other Kingdoms, plus, the law breakers are mainly males. It can be said that criminals in this Kingdom has become an endangered species that is being purged.

    Yuria¡¯s job can be considered complete. And Naoko¡¯s intern at the Kingdom¡¯s military has ended. Which means that Naoko no longer assigned to the military, and is not obliged to guard Yuria anymore.

    They have a farewell meal in a high class restaurant. Raynor is also present. It is rare to see him outside his lab, but he is there to send Naoko off. Naoko is the second person that he is close with since he came into this world.

    After the meal, they parted ways, Naoko head to the castle, Yuria and Raynor walks around the city.

    Currently, Raynor still has one last project going on. The rest of his unused equipments has been transported to the top of a secluded mountain somewhere near the city, and has been assembled into a cone-like shape. That area is restricted by the royal authorities, so no one will wander into it and damage the stuff there.

    The only device left in the underground room is the cylinder with a silver ball inside. Now, the silver ball has expanded to the size as big as the cylinder can contain it. It looks like an egg that is hatching anytime soon. Raynor didn¡¯t tell Yuria what is it exactly, but tell her to expect something amazing from it.

    Because right now, Raynor has nothing to do, Yuria suggests that they registers as an adventurer. They can¡¯t travel to other kingdoms using their current identities, like an ex-Queen, and a boy who has no identification. They may be treated as a runaway slaves.     They went to an adventurer guild in town, with Raynor being dragged along. This is the first time they step foot into an adventurer guild. Yuria heard rumors about adventurers guild in her Kingdom before, that it is a messy place filled with rowdy people, and brawling happens often.

    They are now standing in front of the adventurer¡¯s guild building. It is a three story building that is bigger than the other buildings around the area. It has an exterior with a grand design, with a large door not less than 4 meters in height. Yuria nervously open the door and step into the guild.

    [Welcome, How may I help you?]

    They are greeted by a beautiful woman at the receptionist desk.  Not only there is a beautiful woman at the receptionist desk, there are many women around. This adventurer guild is filled with women adventurers. There are also few men adventurers around, but they seem docile. It varies from Yuria¡¯s expectation of an adventurer¡¯s guild.

    The interior of the guild is quite clean, it seems that it is being taking care off often. The most intriguing part of it, is the female adventurers that varies from different shapes and sizes*

    There are muscular ones to skinny ones, there are also full body armored ones to skimpy outfit ones. There are many female combinations that can only be found in this Kingdom. This is a place where females can freely express themselves without complaints from males.

    [Hi, we would like to register as an adventurer.] Yuria

    Yuria and Raynor walks up to the receptionist to register.

    [Alright, please fill in this form and state your profession.] Receptionist

    [Profession?] Yuria

    [It means which type of profession you are, either a mage, warrior, or a healer. And further describe the details of your fighting style..] Receptionist

    [ah.. those things.. ] Yuria

    The main three branches of an adventurer¡¯s profession are Mage, Warrior, and Healer. After that, it can seperate into many different branches. For example, in the warrior category, there are Swordsman, Tanker, Monk, Paladin, Assassin, Ninja, Theif, and many more.

    Yuria looks at Raynor and wonder what class best suits Raynor.

    Yuria put their levels at Rank D. Although she is Rank S and Raynor is unknown Rank, but she didn¡¯t want to put too high to prevent any unnecessary attention. The guild has no way to determine exactly every person Rank. They classify the Ranking of the adventurers based on type of quest taken and their performance and results.

    Yuria help Raynor to fill his form, because he can¡¯t read the words. She wrote Raynor as a ¡®Mage Warrior¡¯. Because he can use both range and melee combat.

    Even the receptionist girl confused at the weird and unusual job name..

    On that day, 2 new adventurer has been registered. A Rank D healer, and a Rank D MageWarrior.

    They are known by many as a young couple adventurer.

 Chapter 23: Teleport Device

    The only device left at the underground lab where Raynor spend most of his time in, is still ongoing. It is set to auto-construct mode, which means whatever it is constructing, the AI machine is doing the job, and Raynor can fully ignore it.

    What Raynor and Yuria has been doing the past few days is taking on quest from the adventurer¡¯s guild. New adventurer will have a 5 days probation test that determines an adventurer¡¯s qualifications rankings. The test is not too extreme, it is only picking herbs around the outskirt area, and subjugating any monsters on sight, which is optional.

    Yuria didn¡¯t want to aim for a high Ranking adventurer, so they only completed  few tasks, and slacks for the rest of it. While they are resting, Yuria has an interesting information for  Raynor.

    [Raynor! I have something to show you that you might be interested in.] Yuria

    [What is it?] Raynor

    [A teleport device!] Yuria

    [A.. what?] Raynor

    [A teleport device, located in the royal castle. I have obtained permission for us to use it!] Yuria

    [You mean The teleport device? The thing that teleports you to a different location?] Raynor

    [Yes, it does the same thing that you imagine. But it uses a large amount of magic energy, and it is quite a classified technology, so it is only exclusive for royals, and not every kingdom has one. Erina is going to use it for something soon, and gave us permission to accompanies her.] Yuria

    [Really? When?] Raynor

    [This afternoon, we have to get ready soon.] Yuria

    [Ok, got it.] Raynor

    Later that afternoon, Raynor and Yuria arrive at the room where the teleport device is located. What Raynor expected from his knowledge of this world¡¯s technology is a complex system of magic devices, and it should function more like a warp gate rather than a device that deconstruct and reconstruct a person at another spot.Did you know this story is from Royal Road?     But what he sees did not meet his expectation.

    Inside the room, there are complex shapes and patterns of magic circles drawn on the walls, ceiling and floor, and some magic tools and magic stones placed around the main magic circle at the center of the room.

    Raynor spends many years researching on how to connect two point in space, but can¡¯t seem to achieve that even though he is so close. When he heard that he can have a chance to observe a teleport device made from another civilization, his expectation of it is very high.  But now, all he sees are a bunch of magic circles inscribe on the walls, which makes him a bit disappointed.

    But he learned a handful of knowledge about magic circle from Naoko, and the functions and meaning of different patterns in the magic circles. So he is able to decipher the patterns and understands the meaning of those magic circles around, and to understands how is it able to become a teleport device.

    Since Yuria claims that it can function like a teleport device, means it might not be that bad, so he observes and tries to study the magic circle patterns in the room.

    But he reach a dead end. He can¡¯t understand around 96% of it. Although he learned many knowledge about Magic Circle from Naoko, who is a graduated top student in this Kingdom¡¯s Magic Academy, and it appears that Naoko had taught him everything she knows, but still, he can¡¯t decipher anything from the magic circles in this room.

    Raynor had no choice but to scan every nook and cranny of the room. To avoid missing out any important piece of data, he captures the 3D layout of the room, CT scan every spots, any heat signal, radiation, emission of Energy X, inside the walls, the other rooms, he obtains every information he can get his hands on around this place just by standing on the same spot.

    He plans to recreate everything here in a simulation later, and study how does the teleport device here works.

    Moments later, Erina and several women who look like mage elders came into the room.

    Erina greets Yuria and stand beside her, while waiting for the rest of the mages surround the large magic circle at the center of the room, while doing some sort of ritual to activate it.

    The ritual was also recorded by Raynor without their consent.

    Erina who saw Raynor for the first time, looks at him curiously.

    [You look familiar, have we meet before?]

    Yuria was startled when Erina asked Raynor that question. She was so excited to show Raynor the Teleport Device that she forgot Erina is also from Earth. She forgot to disguise Raynor to look like a person not from Earth, because Raynor¡¯s fashion right now has a Futuristic-Modern day Earth design.

    Erina then turn her gaze towards Yuria, with a serious expression.

    [Yuria, tell me, is he a person from Earth?]

    It was at this moment, Yuria knew she screwed up.

 Chapter 24: Returns

    [Yuria, tell me, is he a person from Earth?] Erina

    [What are you going to do to him if he is really from Earth?] Yuria

    [Nothing. Just trying to say hi.] Erina

    [What..?] Yuria

    [Yes, just trying to say hi, and ask how¡¯s Earth doing.. it¡¯s not that he did anything wrong, did he?

    Yuria had no choice but to tell everything she knows regarding Raynor to Erina, except small details like his bad habits, daily life and similar stuffs.

    The new information that Erina get are about how Raynor ended up in this world, what are his current capabilities, what is his goal, and where did those raw materials that she provided went to

He is after all a person that is hot-blooded and easily to manipulate.] Erina

    [Is that so? It seems too complicated to be true..] Yuria

    [Anyways, there¡¯s someone who I would like you to include in your mission.] Erina

    [eh?] Yuria

    [I believe you are already familiar with her, Naoko. She is not related to this Kingdom, and has no relatives here. She was from the orphanage.

    Actually, I picked her up from a slave trader that comes from the east, and secretly taking care of her. Could you somehow bring her back to her homeland, and find out why did she ends up as a slave? She was just 5 years old when I picked her up.] Erina

    [Alright, I¡¯ll take good care of her.] Yuria

    [I can¡¯t help you much during your mission. Anything more, will draw attention towards you.] Erina

    [Ok, I understand.] Yuria

    [And one more thing, do your friend has any of those communication device thing? It will be good if we can communicate through long distance..] Erina

    After their meeting, they finally used the magic circle to teleport to another city within the Kingdom. Erina has some business to attend to, Raynor and Yuria was wandering around the city. They teleport back when it is sunset.

    Raynor and Yuria went back to the house. This time, Naoko was with them.

    [So, we are assigned together again..] Yuria

    [Well, it seems so, I didn¡¯t think that my final orders are to accompany you all.] Naoko

    [Well, isn¡¯t this trip benificial.. Raynor?] Yuria

    [Yea, it sure is benificial, now I got more materials for my research.] Raynor

    Naoko returns after few days of seperation..

    Little did they know that Erina¡¯s attachment during her time on Earth is modern fashion. She is too into fashion that she has an entire library collection of fashion books, including those of her own designs.

    The fashion of Raynor which is modern and a bit of futuristic style in it, triggered something within Erina when she first met him.

 Chapter 25: WHaT Is This?

    The day after Naoko rejoins the party, Yuria and Naoko went out to shop for any daily necessities required for their journey. They have decided to leave the Kingdom the next day.

    While wandering around the shopping district, looking for anything that caught their interest, they saw Raynor, who should be staying at home alone, wandering around the shopping district. He is alone and seems to be looking for something.

    Yuria and Naoko know that something was wrong, because Raynor is a shut-in. He never steps foot outside on his own, except for special circumstance. Out of curiosity, they begin to follow behind Raynor and stalk him.

    After  following behind Raynor for a while, they came across a woman clothing shop. Raynor stood in front of the shop and glance inside curiously.

    Yuria suddenly had a bad feeling, seeing  Raynor who is looking inside a female clothing store. Even Naoko is curious of what Raynor¡¯s next move is.

    They were shocked when Raynor actually went inside the store. A young man, went into a female clothing store alone...  But what he did next,  makes them couldn¡¯t believe their eyes. Raynor brought a dress. A dress the size of a child, even smaller than Naoko¡¯s size, plus, the design of it, is similar to a Gothic Lolita dress..

    Couldn¡¯t believe their eyes, Yuria stares at Raynor with a jaw dropped expression, while Naoko almost burst into laughter, thinking that they discovered the hidden side of Raynor.

    That dress is obviously not for them, because the size is very different. Other than both of them, Raynor don¡¯t have any other person that he knows in the city.     The sales girl wanted to avoid any possible kind of contact with Raynor. He walks into the store, talking to himself, while looking through girls clothing and discussing with his Imaginary Friend. She wanted to call for help and chase him out of the store if he stays any longer. When he decided to buy a piece of dress, she felt relieved. She quickly makes the payment and send him on his way.

    [That girl seems hostile towards you, should I terminate her?]   ???

    [No, no, no, this is now a completely different place. We musn¡¯t simply terminate others when they didn¡¯t do anything hostile. We must act defensive.]   Raynor

    [Alright, Master. Changing to defensive stance towards other humans.]   ???

    [Do you need anything else aside from this dress?]   Raynor

    [I do not require any other things. This dress supports a wide variety of body movements, and its already perfect by itself.]   ???

    [Then, I¡¯m heading back now, lead the way..]   Raynor

    Yuria is still following behind Raynor. She left Naoko alone to shop for their required stuffs.

    She followed Raynor all the way, and reached the house. After that, Raynor immediately went down to his underground lab. Yuria follows him and enter the lab few moments later.

    The underground room that should be almost empty and void of people, except for both of them..

 Chapter 26: Ai-ri

    What Yuria saw in the underground room, is a little girl, naked, standing in the middle of the room.

    [Did you do something ridiculous while I¡¯m not aware?]   Yuria

    Yuria actually thought that Raynor kidnap some random little girl and brought her here, but when she look closer, she noticed that the little girl look strange.

    Her height is just around 110cm, even shorter than Naoko. She has a very smooth skin that reflects light, like it is covered in wax. Her hair, eyebrow and eyelashes are the color of shiny silver.

    But the most noticeable part of her is that, there are lines that look like tattoo all over her body. The lines traces the shape of her body muscles from the part of the neck, all the way to her wrist, and to the sole of her feet. And those lines, seems like they separate her body into parts, like a mannequin. Furthermore, there are pale blue lights flickering and glowing repeatedly on the lines. The little girl is standing beside Raynor motionless with her eyes closed.

    Yuria immediately know what she is. Looking at the nearby shattered glass cylinder, and the once silver sphere thing that cracked open like an egg, it is another absurd invention of Raynor. But this time, she thinks that Raynor has gone too far with his creation.

    Creating a human-like robot that seems too realistic that she can¡¯t even differentiate at first glance. Furthermore, she can feel magic energy radiating from her. Magic energy with at least of a Rank D Mage.

    Yuria has seen too many AI revolt movies in the past, and it makes her feel insecure looking at a realistic robot.

    [What are you thinking? Creating a robot so similar to a human in many ways?]   Yuria

    [What do you mean? This is an Android, not a robot. It is the physical form of my AI. Her name is Airi.]   Raynor

    [Airi had a body back on Earth, but it is not around when the wormhole appeared, so the body has been lost. I was thinking, since I had enough materials and time, it would be unfair if I don¡¯t restore and make a new body for my AI, so I made this new body for her, while incorporated some new technologies based on the magic knowledge that I know. She can store more firepower than I can carry, so she is my walking armory for now.]   Raynor

    [Great, giving access of the world¡¯s most dangerous weapon to an AI child. I wonder what changes will you bring to this world..]   Yuria

    [Airi¡¯s AI is quite different from any other programming AI created. It can be said that she is a part of me, or you can also say she is my sister, or my daughter. Her AI is copied from my own brainwave. So, she is constructed through my brainwave pattern. Her thoughts and ways of thinking is similar to me. But for unknown reason, the part that is copied from me, somehow turned into a female version of myself.

    We have always been working together while on earth. She has protected me through many crysis, and has slain thousands that tried to take my life. I¡¯m still alive today was mostly because of her protection.]   Raynor

    Yuria was shocked when Raynor said that she has taken thousands of human lives. Although that is a different body, but it is of the same AI mind.

    [Nevermind that, could you put some cloths on her? Why did you make an android out of a female¡¯s body? Moreover, a child-like appearance? What were you thinking when you made her? How do you build something similar to a female¡¯s body anyway?]   Yuria

    [Well, my AI is a female¡¯s voice, so it is natural to create a female biological body for her right?]   Raynor

    [Hmm..  makes sense.. ]   Yuria

    [And, I did not personally construct her body. I just lay out the blueprints of the inner body parts, which are mostly mechanical stuffs, and my AI did the rest of the job. Even constructing the biological body is done by Airi.]   Raynor

    [You sure you did not make her for any weird purpose?]   Yuria

    [I do not understand what do you mean by that, but she is created for my research purposes, and not because I felt lonely and wanted a daughter or anything.]   Raynor

    [Well, she will have to stay like this for a while. Her body is still powering up, and can¡¯t move for now. She will have to put the cloths on later.]   Raynor

 Chapter 27: YuNor Space Program

    [The day has come to finally launch the first man-made object into space..  in this world.

    On this day, according to the Ruthena calendar, the year of 3615, the 5<sup>th</sup> day of the month of Fire..]   Yuria

    The Ruthena calendar seperates a year into 4 months, according to the 4 seasons. Each month has around 90 days, and the total amount of days in a year seems to be the same with Earth. The Ruthena Calendar system is widely used in this world. The total amount of years recorded is how long the calendar system has been used...

    Clap* Clap*.. only Naoko claps after Yuria¡¯s speech, although she has no idea what is happening..

    Yesterday, she heard that Raynor came from the place where the heroes originated from. That explains why he is so talented and very knowledgeable in the arts of magic tools invention. She also found out that Raynor is over 60 years old. Yuria decided to let Naoko know more about their personal information, since they will be traveling together.

    A person will slow down their aging process when they train their abilities to a certain degree, so people who look younger than their actual age is not surprising. But there are difficulties to actually train until that stage, so normally, people that managed to slow down their aging process has reached their late forties, and their appearance will not grow younger. People like Yuria and Raynor who managed to slow down their aging process at the age of early twenties is considered rare case, and can be classified as rare talent.

    Naoko is currently the youngest among them, excluding Airi. Even if she has twice the amount of her current lifetime, she is still far younger than any of them, although their outwards appearance look the same age as her. She felt a little inferior in the group whenever she thinks about it. But after socializing with both of them for a while, one is naive and innocent, the other one is ignorant and oblivious towards society. She felt that she has a need to properly guide them, although they are her senior.

    The most problematic one in her case is Raynor. He just completed in creating an Automata. An Automata is an upgraded version of a golem, that is similar to a human in many ways. A good Automata can only be build by  Legendary Inventors. One must posses extraordinary skills and knowledge to be a Legendary Inventor, and rarely 2 of them exist at the same time. It is also recorded in history, at some point, that there are no Legendary Inventor existed in a few centuries.

    Anyone can create a golem, if they have the knowledge, but even a regular Automata is so rare and valuable that many had their eyes on them, and will try anything to get their hands on one. According the records, Airi, that¡¯s what the Automata that Raynor made called herself, might be considered among the good ones, that are currently existing.If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent.     That puts them in a very dangerous situation. If anyone realizes that Airi is actually an Automata, they will have to deal will many troublesome situation. Naoko just join their party, and there are already many troublesome situations popping up. Naoko question herself why did she wanted to join their party in the first place. There are many other proper and promising adventurer party out there, who are looking for new members, why did she choose these two unreliable senior.

    It seems Yuria is excited from the satellite launching event, that she asked Raynor to record this moment, and store the data into the satellite, and also a Royal Magic Recorder from Erina to archive it into the Kingdom¡¯s history.

    [But, what a weird looking Rocket..]   Yuria

    The rocket that is in front of her compare to what she saw, while on Earth are two different things. There are no launch towers or any similar stuff. It was just a 10 meters tall cone shape shiny metal object, with what seems to be rocket thrusters at the bottom. The design is so simple that one can mistake it as a huge metallic geometry sculpture in an art exhibition.

    [Alright, Airi, prepare to launch!]   Raynor

    [Launching in 10 sec, please step behind the red line for safety purposes.. 4.. 3.. 2.. 1.]   Airi

    What Yuria expect from a large burst of flame and smoke everywhere and deafening sound from large amount of fuel ignition didn¡¯t happen...

    The whirring sound of engine starting up as the rocket begin to leave the ground. Blue gases shot out from the rocket thrusters like it was a dragon¡¯s breath, and it sends shockwave throughout the ground like a small earthquake is happening. Nothing was burned, and it was close to zero smoke emission, the gases released from the thrusters quickly blends with the surrounding air, and leaves no traces in a second. Yuria stares at the rocket with amazement. The rocket slowly rises above the ground like a hot air balloon, as the blueish brightness from the thruster became brighter, the speed it rises become faster.

    When it rises up to almost 1000M high, suddenly a bright flash of blue light, and a sound similar to a thunder strike can be heard, and it shoots upwards at a speed many times the speed of sound, and can no longer be seen. Yuria and Naoko stare dumbfounded at the sky. A large object that in the sky suddenly disappear in the blink of an eye.

    [Hey, where did it go?]   Naoko

    [Somewhere beyond the skies.]   Yuria

    [Your majesty, I suggest that we reconsider that decision and think it through. I suspect that there might be some unknown motive behind those rumors.]

    Ignis is a Rank A warrior that once serve in the kingdom of Miore.     Nortem has the appearance of an old man in a long robe. Usually, people will mistake him as a skeleton wearing a robe, and attack him. Because of that, he don¡¯t usually leave his chamber. All those who once tried to assassinate him, end up serving him instead, but only if they are all dead. He has his own army of undead, and a few other followers that he personally train.

    Silvia on the other hand, is a haughty noblewoman. She is famous for her extremely high resistance to magic attack. Any kind of magic attack will have less effect on her. It is said that even a Rank S magician will be at a loss against her. She also has her own army, and followers that she personally train. Her squad will always be at the front line, when fighting against any magic users.

    [Both of you, stop your nonsense. Both of your troops are the key to our victory against the Kingdom of Kouma. If anything went wrong, the blame will be on your head. Understood?]

 Chapter 29: The Expansion

    Meanwhile in a galaxy far, far away...

    After the black hole incident few months ago happened, it causes large attention and panic all across the world. Although the black hole did evaporate shortly after its detection.

    The black hole incident did cause a huge ruckus. The large amount of energy radiated from it can be felt all over the planet, and it attracts many people there. Because of the energy from the black hole is still lingering around, many people try to take advantage of that to train their body by exposing themselves to the energy around that area.

    That method did shows signs of improvements in their abilities, and it attracts even more people there. Somehow, that sport became a tourist attraction. People from all over the world, even from other planets and asteroids came to the spot in order to use the remnant energy from the black hole to train their psychic powers.

    All is well and peaceful among the daily lives of citizens ruled by the supreme leader Kaiser, until one day, a report came in..

    ¡°Rebels fleet detected orbiting around the system of Proxima Centauri, which is 4.2 light-years away from Earth.¡±

    Why and How did they managed to escaped from him, and remained undetected until now? That was the question Kaiser had in his mind. The only explanation is there may be a traitor among the military officials.

    He issued the purging of non-psychic  population many years ago, that consists of only less than 1% of the total human population. All this while, he thought that they have been exterminated by his subordinates. But his subordinates failed to exterminate all of them, and more than half of them managed to escape. But he did not received any report regarding their failure. And after 10 years, the group of rebels that he thought were dead has now been found in other solar system.The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

    He is so furious that he ordered the execution of all the military officials involved, and replace them with new trustworthy people.

    That day, many people were executed, including the family members of those related. The people once again experience the brutality of their supreme leader, and a new sense of fear has been reinstilled among the people¡¯s heart. Voices of opposition has been silenced, and Kaiser begin his next move.

    He begin gathering his fleet, and military soldiers from all across the system, and finally preparing to make his first move outside the solar system. According to the current technology, it would take roughly around 5-6 years to reach Proxima Centauri, and the rebels would have time to prepare themselves, but he proceed with the plan anyway. The reason is because the rebels are clearly outnumbered by the sheer number of his military might, and the greatest advantage is his soldiers all have psychic abilities, means they are far superior and stronger than ordinary human. They have evolved beyond mere Homo sapiens. He also thinks that it is time for him to venture out and to explore the other solar systems. The extermination of the rebels is just a stepping stone for his expansion.

    But few days after he issued the plan to invade Proxima Centauri, Kaiser suddenly canceled the plan and ordered his forces to return to their respective places. The news baffled everyone, when they finally got the chance to expand to other systems, it was suddenly canceled.

    The next day, many reported cases about missing person all over the world. There are no evidence left behind either by the missing person, or a kidnapper, and nobody knows how did they went missing. The only lead is that those missing person were once physicist and engineers.

    The other unusual incident that happened is that the place where the black hole once appeared, and has now become a tourist spot has been shut down and a large building facility has been build, over the site.

    Many rumors circulating around, saying that these events might be related, and that the higher up is conducting some secret experiment. Some even claim that they met with aliens who prevented them from expanding to other systems.  A personnel working close with Kaiser say that he retracted the order after a report came in regarding something about the black hole site, and then he muttered something like ¡°so,  you are still alive..¡±

    Many people came up with their own story on how all this unexpected events links together, but the most circulated ones are about a mysterious alien civilization that stops their expansion and abducting their population. It even became an entertainment show.
