《Interverse》 1 - Into the Unknown New World - Chapter 1.0 I looked around the small room that I had appeared in, it was about ten feet by ten feet square with a ceiling a little over twelve feet high. In the middle of one wall as a body length mirror, with no windows or doors to be seen. I walked over to stand in front of the mirror and nodded at what I saw there. From the mirror peered a tall man six feet tall with short cropped black hair, black eyes and a body toned from sports, martial arts, and combat. He was wearing a Terran Armed Services dress uniform, with both naval and marine medals and ranks of captain. I nodded at the reflection of myself. "Well, Jack ole boy, what have you gotten yourself into now that you''re dead?" I asked him, as I got one last throb of remembered pain from the fatal wounds to the heart, lungs, and right leg I had taken in that last battle. I jumped as a voice seemed to come from all directions, including inside of my head, ¡°Greetings Captain Jack Salker.¡± ¡°Who¡¯s there?¡± I asked. After about a minute the voice replied, ¡°I am a part of the system, we are sorry that one of the gods involved couldn¡¯t be here, however they are dealing with several problems only they can deal with.¡± I looked around the room, still only myself and the mirror around, and smiled. ¡°So where do we go from here gorgeous system voice?¡± ¡°Are you blushing?¡±, as I smiled lightly, taking in the slight pink color the walls, and even the light turned. ¡°I¡ I¡¯m sure I don¡¯t know what you are talking about,¡± came the reply while the room became even darker pink, and a sense of the speaker''s eyes shifting frantically back and forth came into my mind. I looked around the room some more thinking it would be nice to have a 3d computer to work on models and things. When I was younger and even in the military when I had the time I like to role play and worked on a virtual reality role playing game I had thought up. The game never did get far, due to the start of the wars. I was brought out of this musing as a 3d desk and a chair popped up. I sat down at the desk and started designing the ideas that had come to me in battle lulls. Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on the original website. ¡°What are you doing Captain Jack Salker?¡± the system voice asked, which caused me to jump a little banging my knee on the desk. I felt no pain, just a slight jar, then looked up from the desk. ¡°Oh, working on the VRRPG, I never really got to finish while I was alive, and please call me Jack.¡± ¡°That reminds me of why you are here, the main god of another world has asked for a ¡®hero¡¯ soul, of which you have the qualifications requested. If you decline this you will be placed back into the reincarnation queue and will forget your past life. Accepting this request will allow you to receive ten abilities which may already exist or not. Please, if you wish to summon a galactic or cosmic level being or entity, make sure they do not already have other responsibilities.¡± ¡°Ummmm, that happen often?¡± I asked chuckling slightly. ¡°Only once that we are aware of, the goddess in question upset the soul being redirectedand got bound as a summons. It took the system, years to clean up the mess afterward.¡± I thought things over for a few second, ¡°So, I get ten wishes?¡± ¡°Sort of,¡± with a small amount of humor in the reply, ¡°however, we will follow as closely to intent, and try not to screw you over like with most beings that grant wishes. It is due to that we call them abilities instead of wishes.¡± ¡°That sounds good, can I get the race and classes I designed here, oh and I¡¯ll need a space to store things,¡± I thought a bit more, then continued ¡°Also it might be nice to see somewhat of the system I¡¯ll be working with if that¡¯s possible and doesn¡¯t use up one of the ability wishes.¡± ¡°Yes. Yes. Dimensional Storage, Unlimited/Limited? And yes you can see the system without it taking an ability, just think ¡®Basic Status¡¯.¡± Chapter 1.1 I leaned back in the chair and thought about the basic status screen, which soon popped up. Spoiler: Basic Status Screen

"What are all the question marks, for the attributes?" I asked. "Your attributes have not been finalized yet. They will be filled in once you have gotten into the new world." "I see," as I closed out my previous work and started to work on my ''Dimensional Inventory''. I plotted out a garden and a small animal area, then made a house with stasis storage. The storage could be reached by teleporting what was in it straight to my hand. "Ok, think I''ve got the idea for the storage. I will need constructs and an AI to handle them. They will help with the gardening and feed. Oh, and for my tamed creatures and other things, I will need to put in arrangements for them."This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work. "Jack, you could make it similar to a dungeon or city interface. You get so many resource points per day and can expand the sub-dimensional area, after paying all upkeep costs." I looked up and smiled, "That sounds interesting and easier, so let''s start with this and the Manor Lord''s Interface, yeah that sounds like a good name." "Manor and Manor Lord''s Interface will be ready when you go in, as your race is of the type Eternal shall that be your respawn point?" I thought about it for a few seconds, "Yes, and also I would like to make the door able to appear anywhere I''ve been after entering the new realm." "Done Jack. Now to recap, Abilities 1 - Racial choice: (Eternal) Sentient Construct (Unique, Human/Combat forms, Gender changeable), 2 - Class Choice: Tri classed - Tinker subclass: Enhancer, Master subclass: Binder, Warlord subclass: Assaulter, 3 - Sub-Dimensions Storage Manor, with Lord of the Manor title, 7 abilities still unused. Have I got all that correct so far?" "Yes, that is right," I nod along with my words, "Now, to think of some other things. I should first look at more of my stats." I looked at Status Bodyand found five free slots for sub-attributes. I opened one of the slots and was hit by a ton of choice, many of which seemed to be repeats with a different name or just slightly different than the others. I checked the other attributes and noticed the same thing in all but special. I almost fell out of the chair when I saw the sheer amount of choices under that attribute. "Wow, that is a lot of mess," I said. "Yes, it seems to have become that way over the years. I would suggest you make a combined main stat for each sub-stat, and use those." "Hey, do you have a name?" "I am System Personality 56486234698522-55." I looked around the room, then said, "How about if I just call you Annabelle?" The room turned a shade halfway between pink and red before the answer came back, "I...I don''t kn..... What it''s ok? Ok, it seems my name is now Annabelle by consensus of the personalities that are interested in what is going on here." "That''s good, trying to say the other is quite a mouthful for us ex-human souls," I grinned as the room''s blush deepened, even the air appearing to take on a part of it. I had to think a little more on the attributes so instead asked another quesionon my mind. "So, Annabelle no any two sentients that would like to become AI''s for me. One for the manor and one for the ship parked there?" A new more assertive, yet still distinctly feminine voice spoke, "I wouldn''t mind being a ship, getting to shoot the big guns and destroy things, yay!" "System Personality 85-0, I don''t think that we could.... Is it really ok consensus? OK, yes, of course, I want to do the manor," Annabelle was conversing with the system again. "Just call me Alexia, I''ve always liked that name," came from the new voice, just before two arms wrapped around my neck. I jumped a little in the chair and turned my head and saw a tall female android standing there, "Alexia?" "Yes, dear Master, your ship is here." "Hey save some for me," came Annabelle''s voice as another set of arms wrapped around my left arm. I whipped my head around to see another android there, this one seemed more suited to working in fields, or as a maid in a manor, while the first one had the body of a warrior. It was at this point I realized they were both naked. I had learned earlier that I could manifest objects here with my mind, so I formed combat fatigues around Alexia. My eyes wandered over her form, as I clad Annabelle in the stereotypical french maid''s outfit, mainly black, with crimson apron and gold and silver trim. "Wow, who knew putting clothes on beautiful androids could make them even more so?" I askedwhile wiping drool fo my chin. Annabelle giggled, then replied, "Well you''ve got your two AI''s, although we will looseaccess to the system after we transfer into the new realm." I smiled at them and shrugged hugging them a little longer before I had them move back so I could work. "So that was number 4, that leaves 6 more." Chapter 1.2 I sat at the desk, as I tried to sort through all the sub-stats, then decided with a sigh that I would have to make some new ones. I looked up to tell the girls my decision, and could not help the smile that formed on my lips, as I saw the girls get used to their new bodies. Annabel stood about five feet three inches (160 cm) tall, with short cropped blond hair, and small breasts of which I could probably cover one with both hands. Her eyes were a brilliant lavendercolor, with no pupils noticeable. Alexia, on the other hand, was about five feet ten inches (177.8 cm) tall, with dark cobalt pupilless eyes, and long light blue hair, each breast could easily be covered by one of my hands. I assumed this was to keep them out of the way while fighting. Then Annabell attempted to do a pirouette, of which she lost control and with a small squeak fell into Alexia, who had tried for a spinning back kick. I laughed after they hit the floor with a muted thud and got up to see if they were ok. "What are you laughing at?" asked Alexia gruffly. "You two." "It''s n..n..not funny," stammered Annabelle, it was quite cute. "You should see it from my point of view. You may know how to walk but have no experience in doing so." I walked over and hugged both of them, "Why don''t you just try getting the hang of walking for now, and we can work on the other stuff later?" Both of the girls nodded, then sorted themselves out and started to walk around the room a little unsteadily at first. "I''ve decided on number five," I said, which caused both girls to stop, "This sub-attribute stuff for this realm is a mess, I would like for it to be cleaned up some. What I would like is for one of them to combine the top five of each sub-attribute, after getting rid of all the duplicates. Also, we should probably limit the new "Uber" sub-stats to say, god''s avatars, champions, heroes, and certain higher-upsof the gods." "But, Master that would exclude you," replied Annabelle. I smiled at her and shook my head gently, "I have an idea for that, for now, we just need to get the system cleaned up." The girls went still as they started to process my request, and I sat back at the desk. I now had my race, class, a manor/storage/ship bay with aship, and the sub-attribute fix was on the way. Five more to go, and I wondered if I would be able to use them all with getting overly strong, which would make life not challenging enough. After a while, still I had not thought of anything else, at least not that I would take seriously, the girls interrupted me. "Master, the sub-attributes are complete, and the Interverse Realm''s god and their system have sent an envoy to talk with you," Annabelle told me with some excitement. With eyebrows raised, I turned to look at her, "Oh, an envoy, I feel special now." "I am glad you agree," said a new voice, as a somewhat oppressiveand bloodthirsty aura entered our small space. I turned towards the voice and saw a large man, about eight feet (243.8 cm) tall, long black hair. His eyes were odd, blood red around a large black pupil, that shrunk and narrowed as I watcheduntil it looked like a cat''s pupil. I then noticed his very red lips, with just a hint of fang sticking over the bottom one. "Greetings, Jack, I am Malbix, Lord of the Dead, a minor god of Interverse."The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement. "I Interverse?" I asked as I did not remember having heard the name before. "Ahhh, yes the realm you will be joining after you are finished here is called Interverse. Due to you helping The System to revamp some of it''s more bothersome details, the main god sent me here to suggest you choose a god or goddess, preferably one of the major ones, as a consort, thus allowing for you to use your new sub-attributes." "Consort? As in a husband that has no power over a ruler''s kingdom?" "Similar to that yes," he grinned showing more of his fangs, "but to a deity, a major one at that. This will give you some special abilities and/or spells that you can only get from them." I nodded my head at him, to show that I had heard and understood what he was saying, then had a thought. "Ummmm, it would be helpful to have a list of the major deities then." "Of course give me a few seconds to clear it with the system." His eyes glazed over and soon another screen popped up.

"Wow, only twelve of them?" I asked surprised. "Yes, all of us minor deities are under one or more of them, it actually works out really well. I, for an example, fall under mostly the goddess of death, and a little under the goddess of nature." "Interesting," I said, "only one or can I choose more than one?" Malbix''s eyes lost focus for a second, "No, He says you may choose up to six, the first one free, but if you want more you have to spend abilities on up to five." I nodded at him and my own eyes lost focus as I thought about it, "Ok, I''ve made up my mind I choose..." Chapter 1.3 "Jack Salker, you have received a data burst from the Interverse Realms System. You are encouraged to read this before continuing with your selections." Interrupted a sexless, monotone voice. A look of surprise formed on both of the girls. "Th..that was the default system, personality zero." stammered Annabelle. I nodded at her and then formed a headset for the computer desk, and plugged in. My eyes glazed over as I downloaded the data, then smiled and went to work on my race, class, the estate, and even the space ship. "What are you doing?" Malbix asked, with some impatience. "I''m altering some of my stuff to better fit into the world, and I got a few more ideas while we were doing all this stuff," I replied. Shortly after I started humming to myself as I worked. "Wait, you can do that? Without using up another power?" asked Malbix in disbelief. Alexia answered before I could, "Yes, it''s due to his race and class being what is on the computer he has there. Once he gets rid of the computeror gets sent into the realm, then they will be finalized and no further changes may be made." Malbix nodded his head, as he came to understand the situation. I finished after a few more minutes, then turned around and smiled at everyone, "Guess I should tell you who I chose. I''m assuming that order is important too?" Malbix nodded his head and leaned forward, a smirk on his lips. I looked over some notes, then stood and paced back and forth. "First I as the ''freebie'' and thus the main one, I choose Taqanke, Goddess of Magic. After all, you got to love smart women right?"

The three others in the room looked at each other confused, perhaps they thought I would choose someone else? I just stood there and smiled, with the hope that one would figure it out. Annabelle looked up then smiled. "Ahhhh, that makes sense now. Who is the second?" The other two, looked at her, however just before they could ask what she knew I cleared my throat to give out the next name, excited to know what blessing I would receive next. As I finished reading the last popup, the room started to spin. A few minutes later it disappeared, and darkness enveloped me. It felt like warm arms were wrapped around me. It seemed like days, yet was only a few minutes a light appeared far away. The light drew closer at a rapid pace, and I noticed that it was a star. I soon saw planets and their moons drawing close. Just before I started to fall into the atmosphere a sultry voice spoke to me. "See you soon, Loverboy." Chapter 2.0 I looked down at the large planet below me, it appeared roughly the size of earth, with lots of green and a few brown or red patches. The oceans were quite a bit smaller with many large rivers that made up the difference in water content. Soon a red glow started to appear around me. "Activating re-entry protocols," a mechanical voice said in my head, as a shieldformed around me. The reduction of heat was nice, as I did not want to burn up, but how was I to not get crushed when I hit the ground? I looked around and saw two others who descended near me. After a minute I realized that they were Annabell and Alexia, which made me smile. It wasn''t long before we were only a couple of hundred feet (60.96 M) above the ground, at that point the mechanical voice came back, "Activating landing protocols." With a small jerk, we slowed down and gently touched the ground. I looked around and saw mostly trees, we had landed in a small forest clearing. I then looked at the girl''s skills and frowned. Seriously, Annabelle was asupportclass, which I could understand as she was our estate. What got me was she had everything to be good at her job except that she was missing cooking. Alexia was a damage dealerbut was missing important weapons and unarmed skills. With a sigh, I got ready to fix some problems. "Activate Title: Seeker of Knowledge." The girls looked at me oddly, and with a smile, I waved Annabelle over to me, "This will be the easier one."
System Notice: You have activated a title, you may only have one title active for every ten levels. Current Title slots: 1 Active: 1 Available: 0 Please note that Passive abilities from all your titles will/are still working.
I placed my hands on either side of Annabelle''s head and thought, ''Activate: Impart Skill - Cooking''. I felt the knowledge gather up in my head and swirl around. It went down my arms and out into Annabelle''s head. I saw her face scrunch up then got another system message.
System Notice: You have used an ability to teach another the skill Cooking. Your skill: Journeyman 5. Target has learned it at skill: Acolyte 7.
Annabelle''s eyes widened in surprisebefore she smiled and started looking around for things to make meals with. I waved for Alexia to come towards me, "Now for the not so easy part, teaching you to fight properly." Alexia looked at me oddly, "Why not just use your ability to teach me?" "A couple of reasons. First I can only use the ability once a week. Second, since I have a master or above in most of the combat skills I can teach them to you the harder way. I also think it''s better for certain skills to be learned this way so you have some experience in using them as you train." A few hours later with both of us out of breath, we stopped. We had managed to get her to 75% of beginner 9 in hand to hand combat, it would have been higherif I hadn''t had to change some of the moves to fit her smaller frame and lower attribute values. We had just sat down to rest when Annabelle placed some bowls of mixed fruit, nuts, and some salad in front of us. "Eat up, it will help restore your energy," she said with a smile. I nodded then started to eat. Soon we were both eating as fast as we could. "It''s so good," I said, Alexia nodded her agreement. "T..thank you," Annabelle stammered, as her face turned a slight pink color. "I figured this would be better than spending estate points on saturation, for now."If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. I looked at her, the confusion plain on my face as I asked, "Saturation?" She straightened up and replied, "Yes, we can go without food and water for ten estate points per day per person. However, we only have one hundred estate points per day right now, and it costs one hundred points minimum to raise it twenty-five per day. The points regenerate each day, but you can not store up any excess for future use. I was waiting to ask what you wanted to do with them." I nodded at her and started to set up a fire ring, the sun would be down in about another hour. "I think it might be best to start increasing the points first, but I''m not sure. What are some of the things we can buy, and the associated costs?" "Ummm, let''s see, oh I can show it to you," she said with a smile, then showed me a screen.

"I see," I said afterward, "So, yea increase the housing points, say to one thousand, then we can start upgrading things." She nodded that she heard, then Alexia and I got back to the lesson. Chapter 2.1 I lit the fire, then walked around as the daylight slowly fled the field of battle. I gathered up some leaves and grass, placing them on the ground a little way from the fire, making us a bed. We had sparred for three hours and our bodies were fairly new, so there were a few aches and we were tired. I laid down on the bed and waved the girls over. They each grabbed a side and cuddle up against me. "Night, ladies, sleep well you''ve earned it," I said, and soon I heard snores, then closing my eyes the world faded away. My eyes opened to a blackness with tiny pinpoints of colored light spread randomly throughout. I blinked then wandered towards the nearest light, a purple hazy light which seemed to pulse dimly. I got closer and it started to appear as a giant purple gem, when I finally got close enough I tried to peer in while I braced my hands against the outer shell. Inside there was an oddlooking being made of a lavender colored slime. The slime person appeared to be reading a book, I could not read it, from this distance. I turned away from the giant gemand started to head towards the next one. A bright blue light, which pulsated at a quick rate. I got about halfway when I felt something pull me off course, toward a blank area amongst the gems. I shrugged and walked in the direction of whichever force wanted me to head in this direction. What felt like several hours later I noticed a bright green gem with orange pulses. I got close enough to see what looked like a dungeon layoutbefore the mysterious force nudged me in a slightly different direction. I still couldn''t see anything there, yet after only a few minutes I felt a slight resistance. I looked around and saw the wall of a black gem behind me. It was what was in front of me that caused my jaw to drop in astonishment. There was a small pile of books and toys, to one side was a white door, and what appeared to be a white screen. The being watching the screen is what caught most of my attention, she must have been ten, or possibly twelve at the oldest. I stared for a few more seconds when a screen popped up.

I blinked as the screen faded from view. When did I get Dream Walk as a skill, or did someone else use theirskill on me? I shrugged to myself, then noticed that the girl, erm Sophie had picked up two wooden practice swords and was swinging them around. I frowned then went and stood in her line of sight, but she took no notice of me. I sighed and her shoulders tightened slightly. "Can you hear or see me?" I asked, but receivedno reply. I formed a pair of my own swords, almost surprised when it worked. I started slowly with the forms, eventually adding in hip checks and trips. After an hour and no signs of her having noticed me, I sighed again and sat down. I was hit with a brilliant idea, then frowned as I realized I had nothing to write on. "Wait, this is a dream, right? So..." I concentrated on what I wantedand got a book and pen. I started to write and sketch, then had another thought and after each kata or exercise pictured doing it as I did. Soon I had a book, with enough to get someone halfway through beginning twin blade mastery, not just short swords, I had included long swords, hand and a half swords, daggers, and pretty much any other one handed blade I could think of. I was happy with this item and signed my name to it, making the pen disappear I sat the book on the floor and went to walk back through the wall of the gem. Before I got to the wall I heard something scuffle on the floor and looked back to see the book trying to follow me. "Stay," I said with a slight chuckle, as I pointed at the book. A sudden excruciating pain hit me just as another popup appeared.
ERROR!!!! Paradox has hit!
I almost lost my sanity, for there not ten feet (3.048 M) in front of me, was my old Terran Federation Marine powered armor. The worst part is I could see my dead body inside of it. Chapter 2.2 As I stared at my body, my mind traveled back to those last few minutes of my life. We had been at war, with what we had thought was a ruthless enemy for over eighty years. We called them the Mantis, as they looked a lot like praying mantises you could find back on earth, with an extra pair of arms, which ended in a pair of three-fingered hands, below the scythe-like blades. On this day one of their ships had breached the system I was in, we were far from the front lines, but there it came. It was not very long before a type of ship we had never seen before followed it through thetransit area. This new ship started to attack the mantis ship, as well as our ships. Soon more strange ships entered the area and a slaughter of our troops began. I was sent to check out where the Mantis ship crashed and found much to my surprise a ship of mostly civilians, even a few humans, with many mantis grubs and even a few human children. One of the soldiers, different from most I had seen, came towards me and bowed its upper body to me. "Greetings, Captian Jack Salker of the Terran Federation Marines, I am Tklch, Royal Guardian to our queen. We ask for asylum and aid at this time." I was stunned for a few seconds, the landing of one of the new ships snapped me out of it. I watched as creatures that looked like giant millipedes, with the heads of a rhinocerosstarted charging out of it. A few soldiers and mantis warrior fell, and I stared in horror as the new enemy started to eat the dead. Soon a flood of enemies was headed towards us. I ordered all units to open fire, but most of our munitions just bounced off their carapace. "Attention TF Marines, switch to package Delta," I ordered into comms, as I dropped my cannons, and from somewhere else on the planet new ones came down to thunk into their spots, which caused my armor to stumble a step forward. The weapons of Delta package were new and experimental energy weapons, a plasma cannon on the left, and a particle beam cannonon the right. The enemy came in waves for several hours, before there were five of the largest of the enemy left. Our reinforcements were starting to landwhen I heard a high pitched scream behind me. When I turned to look, I saw several children and grubs (the child stage of the Mantis) on the field a large milloroscharged at them. I overrode my suit''s safeties and charged in between them. The horn went through my chest, the pain almost caused me to black out while one of its claws cut into my left leg, the claws barely paused in the armor. The armor clamped my leg to keep the blood loss down, then due to the horn which pierced my heart, it set up a bypass in most of the major blood vessels. I grit my teeth and drew my swords, the metal was a deep cherry red from the heat, which had built up due to overriding the safeties, and stabbed it in the eyes. With a sound of a thousand fingernails on chalkboards, the enemy screeched and lifted it''s head with me still on the horn into the air.If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. "Armor, set fusion power core to overload in five seconds, then eject on my mark. Code Alpha two nine nine eight five Omega." "Affirmative Captain on you mark," came the monotone reply. I waited until the creature opened it''s mouth again, "Mark." With a thud I felt throughout my body, the fusion reactor core shot down the throat of my enemy, and I started to feel sluggish and cold. I was barely conscious as the power core exploded, which sent bits of monster all over the field. My eyes soon closed and I was now standing ghost-like seeing my armor on the battlefield. A hand grabbed ahold of the back of my neck and with a jerk, I was back in the light speckled dark place. "Now that was a heck of a place for you to be, watching your own death and all," said an oddly accented feminine voice. When I turned I saw what at a quick glance, was a young woman. She had long, straight black hair, deep black eyes the whites were red instead. When she smiled at me, I saw two long sharp fangs in place of the two upper canines, the rest of the teeth being smaller versions of them. Her feet were wrapped in what looked likebandages, while her hands were made of bone. When she saw my confusion over her appearance, she smiled again, "Yeah, looks like I couldn''t figure out which undead I wanted to be. It is not my fault tho, my mother is a queen of the undead and ..... Hmmm, I wonder if you can guess who daddy is?" "Thanatos, Hades, naw couldn''t be them, oh I know the way my luck has been, Grim Reaper?" I said in a joking manner. "Yup, papa Grim, my name is Tara Reaper, and we''ll have you back to your new home in a few seconds." The answer took me by surprise which must have shown, as she backed up a little and looked slightly hurt, but for the most part alone. I sighed at my stupidity, I mean I had nothing against her but she thought I did. I shrugged to myself then on an impulse reached out and pulled her in, my lips locked onto hers. A few second later I heard a voice say, "Jack, who is this?" "Annabelle, good morning this is Tara Reaper." Chapter 2.3 With what sounded like a small ''later'', Tara disappeared. I looked over at Annabelle, Alexia standing besideher both with large smiles. "Something wrong?" I asked, with slight discomfort. Annabelle shook her head, "Nope, we just saw everything you did." Alexia just chuckled, at which point I noticed some flashing icons in the corner or my eye. I mentally opened the notifications, which caused the flashing to stop and got a few surprises.

I quickly pulled out the book, and flipped through it, watching the occasional holo-illusiongo through the moves. With a smile, I handed the book to Alexia, "There, now you can learn the rest from the book." I checked the time and saw that not even one full standard day had passed. It seems the local time was odd, four hours of nighttime and twelve of daytime. That made the local day cycle sixteen hours, while the standard was thirty. I started looking around the little clearing we had appeared inwhen a glint of sun caught my eye. I moved over and saw a small rounded stone stuck up through the leaf litter. I cleared around it a littleand found that it was just the point of something largerwhen another notice popped up.

You have found a Landmark, it has been marked on your system map, and is the first anchor point for your Household Dimension. You have automatically been appointed owner of this Landmark (Calming Glade), other sentients must gain permission before being allowed to enter, or even knowing of the existence of this small sanctuary.
Now that was interesting, my own personal sanctuary Landmark. Well, mine and my bonded, I did notice that bugs and animals were not prohibited from coming and going as I watched a rabbit run around as it chewed on various leaves. The little crystal, it looked like a rounded end rod, was the marker for the Landmark. I had thought they would be bigger than that, but I guess they come in all sizes. With a shrug, I summoned a palm-sized red oval crystal, which I then had form into a gun. The barrel came from the narrower end facing away from me the grip and trigger forming underneath the larger end at the heel of my palm. Once the pistol formed, I aimed carefully and pulled the trigger. Gathering up the now dead rabbit, I carried it a little way away from the clearing and cleaned it, before I returned and handed it to Annabelle. "For breakfast," I said with a smile, while she took it with a small smile in return. I looked over at Alexia, who had the book open her body following the images, as she learned the fighting style. I smiled and just as I was about to sit, I heard a rustle of the bushes next to Annabelle, just before she yelled. I shot up from my half seated position, and dashed over, my hand darting into the bushes and I pulled out something that looked like an odd cat. It hung by the scruff of its neck for a few seconds, then the claws came out as it tried to sink them into my arm. It looked like a tiger cub, with a white base and black stripes, there were two cute little horns on the head, two large fangs, however, the main surprise was the two wings, one on each side of its back. I used the analyze skill on it.

I reached out and grabbed one of the paws, the claws resheathed themselves, and I gently pushed on the pad. I felt him start to tense up to attack and I growled at him, which caused him to blink and not attack, as I looked at the claws. Yup, they were poisoned, so I looked at the rabbit and one of the rear legs had claw marks on them. "Annabelle cut off that clawed leg for me please." After she handed it to me I sat down, and placed the cat on my lap, "I''ll call you Tiger, I know I not good at giving names, but it will do." Then I fed him the rabbit legand got yet another system notice.

A Sad State of Affairs. I have finally acknowledged the inevitable, I am going to have to stop this story. It is not due to lack of ideas, it is due that I jammed myself up trying to make the system to complicated. I am sorry to all my followers that enjoyed this book. Fear not for I will be rewriting Divine Diversions, (most likely under 3rd book). Hopefully, it will be similar enough to this book to allow you to enjoy it also. While I can understand some will be upset, and rightfully so, to those who decide to get angry or write nasty things about my stopping this book I have this to say:If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. Writing a book is a process like any type of art, sometimes you start, reach a certain point, then wait. You realize it isn''t quite what you want, or you cannot finish for some reason or another (often only in the artist''s mind). At that point, you put it away and start on the next thing. Thank you all my followers, and once again sorry for the disappointment.
