《Emulation of chronology》
Prologue
¡°Day: 61. Two months have already passed since the incident where it seemed as if I lost sight of reality¡ I can¡¯t even tell if what I am experiencing right now in life is real? In the blink of an eye I was ¡°transported¡± from a destination to another and now I¡¯m living in a hidden village together with my family, excluding a father who abandoned us when I was just an infant and a grandfather who died in the war between our hometown and another city in this country¡ One day my people came in conflict with the high mighty Pursuedale, and that dispute caused us to forfeit our homes and even some of our lives, among those my grandfather¡¯s. What I cannot understand is that he never suspected anything at all while being a town resident in that large, undercity district, even known as The persecuted village¡ I doubt that this story is about us though¡ occasion to why I should keep my identity as inscrutable as possible.
On the other hand¡ I do have a task to complete, more particularly¡ a certain blood bounded obligation which I cannot ignore.
I don¡¯t know what happened to a friend of mine during that incident two months ago¡
Even so she was certainly a skilled fighter, she used her fire magic gracefully¡ time manipulation wasn¡¯t a disadvantage and¡
she seemed to be swift on her feet. With flexible joins she could easily move her lithe body, predicting the enemies¡¯ next movements wasn¡¯t very hard for her and she was strong.
I on the other hand didn¡¯t have much to offer her along the way on our adventure¡ I was a coward who felt discouraged even by the thought of taking another human being¡¯s life, and at first I didn¡¯t know that I possessed my ability of thievery.
The army in the city which attacked my town had been tasked by their colonel to invade other cities, and I just so happened to encounter this girl during my flew seven months ago and she was on a leg bail herself from her hometown¡ the reason is unknown and she wouldn¡¯t tell me much about herself or of her past, although, no matter how crazy the idea sounded, we decided to jeopardize together and try to stop the army ourselves. But damn we were fools back then, and in the very end I nearly lost my life.
Rayn was caught off guard and¡ never mind. It¡¯s all in the past anyway.
Rayn is an only child who grew up in the city in the rocky highlands of Concrete Force.
Concrete is a society with a vigorous, shrewd population. Those people are incredibly loyal, active and has scored the best pedagogical results in the entire Acrana, most of them are also very rich.
Her family is characterized of the aristocracy and the mayor of Concrete attempts to fool of this family lots of funds, after the failure once one of the father¡¯s company went bankrupt."
The boy suddenly stopped writing once he heard a noise downstairs¡ His mother had been leaving for the market street around twenty minutes ago so he doubted that she possibly could be back already and his brother was supposed to meet up with some friends, perhaps they were going to haunt together or something. Suspiciously he placed down the pen on his desk in the room, blenched back slowly and arose from the chair. Throwing his quilt over himself he would sneak down under the somewhat exalted bed with long legs and make sure that no one found him in case there was a burglar in the household. He waited patiently for what felt like¡ at least more than ten minute, before he slowly crawled out of his hiding spot, assuming that silence was the best sign of security,
but¡ unfortunately he was wrong.
- Playtime¡¯s over.
There was a girl standing there in front of him on the floor. She had this gothic outfit which screamed of disobedience, her face was covered with a black hood and on her left shoulder there was a shaped birthmark which resembled a half cut, black heart.
The boy was staring at her, unable to speak as she pulled out something from her left pocket on the low cut tunic¡ it was a scissor. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it
- This is the one, isn¡¯t it?
The girl questioned meanwhile she was tranquility picking up a book from the desk, the book which he had been writing in, and gently browsed through the pages till she could find the page noted with the title ¡°The sixty-first day¡±.
- So¡ this must be¡ it. There was a war between Persecuted and Pursuedale, your grandfather was killed¡ a¡ girl?
Hmm¡ a ¡°blood bounded obligation¡°, huh? Seems like someone has a little crush. Unfortunately I will have to burn this newly found love interest into ashes.
- M-Marlene-¡!
He hesitated for a second¡ the first intention was to just sprint over there and snatch the book within the first stroke,
but¡ he knew that would have been pointless. This girl was a skilled fighter who used to work for class Z, a fair set corporation in Pursuedale, before she abandoned the organization and became a wanted bandit. He, as rookie who was still learning the basics in the art of war in the tai chi genre wouldn¡¯t stand a chance against her.
- What¡¯s wrong boy? Getting a little insecure, are we¡? Well¡ what if I just used a mind manipulating spell to make you write down exactly everything that you remember from the events in the past and then I¡¯ll use this scissor here to clip out some important details from it which might be necessary for my task? In return I will of course give you a valuable profit¡ so, what do you say? Or, are we gonna ignore the repayment and just skip to the funny part?
- Marlene, I swear to you, if anything happens to her then I¡¯ll¡
He was interrupted once she seized her arm round his shoulders and toppled him down on the floor.
Raising her arm a strangle grip was her next intention and in the meantime she pulled out a knife from her right pocket.
Gasping for air once Marlene lifted him up from the floor by a hold round his throat she playfully licked the knife and pondered where on his body she should aim her first gash?
- I gotta say, you really don¡¯t put up a fight boy¡ at all!
- Y-you¡¯re¡ you¡¯re gonna¡ regret¡ this!
He started to lose consciousness and his cheeks grew red¡ his vision was getting blurry and as if the unimaginable answer to his prayers had been fulfilled¡ in the very end she¡ she chose to¡ spare his life. One thing was for sure, that acid deficiency shock had really pumped out his spirit and he needed to take a breather before he could recover properly¡
- Why did you-¡
The next thing he knew she was recklessly cutting out pieces of the pages in the book, and that scenario triggered his instincts.
He expressed his anger and purposed to challenge her to a duel, no matter how crazy or unrealistic the idea was¡
Although he barely managed to arise to his feet before she hushed him and whispered something surreptitiously in his ear.
- Remember, I¡¯m supposed to be the ¡°antagonist¡± in this novel¡ you don¡¯t want to ruin my spotlight, do you?
She picked up the pen from the desktop and wrote something on an empty page¡
¡°They have no idea what they are getting themselves into once they are signing the contracts, and even if they read it through multiple times those office workers are pros, and the small prints will probably be ignored!¡ Not because it¡¯s my problem though.¡±
Collecting the spread out pieces on the floor with a magnetic spell she gathered them in a box, planning to retain it as a keepsake,
but by a split second when her alertness wasn¡¯t fully focused she was wrestled to the floor.
- Give me the box!
The boy commanded, but even if he put his best effort in trying to grab hold of the box he was unfortunately too slow as the hooded character conjured forth a portal which she would use to transport herself to another surrounding area¡
The male would do anything in his power to receive the box and as if something even more unexplainable happened the clasp was unlocked and that¡¯s when Marlene seized the opportunity to transmit it through the portal, but to make the ¡°game¡± more entertaining she decided to send out each one of the different pieces towards altered locations in the country, now it was Moore¡¯s job to find them all before it was too late. Even if he couldn¡¯t grasp it at first she would cast a death spell over the book and if he didn¡¯t find the remaining twenty pieces before the pass of thirty days, the girl¡¯s life would be set at stake.

Chapter 1, Introduction (Part 1, From her perspective)
- Good morning, sweetheart.
It was a gentle voice which would sound those simple yet affectionate words.
Eventually they awoke a sleeping beauty with angelic facial features, a fair skinned, feeble body, dressed up in a darker shaded chiffon white nightgown and having short, raggedly cut strands of jade black hair which barely reached down her shoulders.
This damsel was lying in her bed with a sizzling hot temperature and in a ¡°moribund¡± condition she would hoarsely mumble to herself and predicted that this must have been ¡°it¡±. Shortly her parents would have to entomb their one and only daughter and she could just imagine the disappointment behind grieving faces as they probably would find it very disapproving that a simple fever could eradicate her completely, but¡ was there any use in trying to even stay alive?
Hiding under the quilt she had the very best intentions not to let the older woman detect her in such a weak state and ensured that everything was alright, but it was in vain. Her mother was a connoisseur of human nature and wouldn¡¯t leave the room until the girl gave in and confessed that yes indeed she did feel feverish.
Several divergent thoughts occupied her brain meanwhile she sat up in the bed and sensed how fragile fingertips applied soft pressure against her forehead once the mother¡¯s hand stroke it which caused her entire body to go limp. The psychological response turned into something hypersensitive and before the young lass could interfere with her actions a torrent of teardrops guttered down her cheeks.
- Hello there, my darling child, how are you feeling this wonderful morning?
Every time Rayn regarded this woman all she could notice was, well¡ first of all, her incomparable cogitations, opinions, personality and gorgeous appearance, especially according to those nearly breathtaking eyes,
that enchanted smile and those corkscrewcurls.
It distinguished her from the rest of the people in the district and¡ even made her seem like a goddess, and¡ Rayn was supposed to be ¡°her child¡±. How come? She could never meet up with this degree of perfection, and she knew that.
Besides¡ her father always wanted a boy, someone he could coach and train, a¡ individual who did not dread dirty hands, to experience a lot of hard work and above all¡ someone who could match up to the neighbor lads¡¯ physical strength fairly, an impossible task for a ¡°girl¡± like herself.
- Mom, I hate this! I¡¯m feeling terrible right now and I¡¯ve worked so hard not to act egotistically, and I also know from experience that when you¡¯re feeling reduced in your condition it¡¯s easier for you to be self-indulgent!
That¡¯s why I didn¡¯t want you to see me like this, and that¡¯s why I told you that I felt okay even though... I¡¯m not¡
- Oh, Rayn¡
The mother, even known as Rose, hesitated for a moment before a motherly smile featured her lips asshe was raising Rayn¡¯s chin, her gaze softened and she welcomed her into a warm, affectionate embrace which lasted for what seemed like a very long time, when the actual duration only was for a couple of seconds¡
The raven didn¡¯t resist at all, assuming that she had no right to interfere with her parent¡äs actions.
- Have we really been this strict towards you throughout the years? It scares me to realize that this is how you truly are reasoning with yourself¡ Precious, it¡¯s alright to be favoring your own well-being preferably before others¡¯ at times, and¡ it¡¯s nothing you need to be ashamed of or disregard as important.
The most significant part is to always remember that, and listen carefully now¡
The blonde pulled away for a second, tilting her head as she stared deeply into the irises of her daughter¡¯s.
- If you don¡¯t love yourself, no one else will ever be able to love or understand you. After all you have to live in her body till the day you¡¯re hankering demise, so¡ why not make the most of it while you¡¯re still at it?
Punctuating ¡°her body¡± in her speech Rose placed her index finger just above Rayn¡¯s belly button and started tickling her until a laughter slipped through the raven¡¯s lips. She coughed in embarrassment and her face brightened up in a rosy tint. The mother¡¯s smirk widened in a maintained way and before neither of them could comprehend the consequences of their actions they began to guffaw so hard that their lungs eventually hurt.Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more.
- Hey, is my angel child feeling a little bit better now?
The mom was wondering as she sat up on the bedside.
- I guess¡
Rayn admitted with a short nod.
- Rayn¡ I love you.
- I love you too, mom¡
A cold breeze flitted in through the open window and Rayn knew exactly what was going to happen next¡
Every night she had the same dream about her, no exceptions, and this had been going on for two weeks.
Her mother¡ the one and only she lost when she was very young. The breeze would not only consume the presence of warmth and kindness, but at the same time the whole scenario was dissolving...
Waking up in reality dark, deep bags under her twitching eyes were something that most people first espied. Yawning wearily she dragged herself out of bed and got dressed. Regarding her own reflection in the mirror the similarity of a zombie¡¯s wasn¡¯t very farfetched and in order to stir herself she washed her mug with ice cold water and then slapped her cheeks lightly.
Wandering out of the bathroom next-door to her bedroom she scheduled her day thoroughly and the initial objective to prioritize was a quick outdoor jogging and then a steady breakfast.
Today was a fine day¡ the sun was standing high on the bright blue sky and now and then frigid winds would fly by and cause strands of her short, briery, elaborated coiffure tied in an exalted tassel to whip her in the neck meanwhile she was running downhill a steep slope.
- Good morning, Miss Rayn.
- Good morning, Ronell Rayn.
A married woman was shooting daggers at her husband, although he didn¡¯t seem to notice the expression in his wife¡äs upset face at first¡
- Ronell Rayn? But Derek, are you insane? You cannot call a noble by her first name, it is madness!
I thought you knew better than that!
- But, Margret....!
Rayn overheard their discussion¡ It was rare for her to be greeted by others with her birth name, that¡¯s for sure. Not even her father would utter those six letters in the combination of a given name during birth anymore,
and the reason behind it was unknown. She snorted¡ ironical, that¡¯s what it was.
- Good morning to you two as well.
Avowal confirmed, she admired the chemistry between those two love birds¡ it appeared to be so genuine, even if vexation never is to treat with favor¡
- Oh my¡
The wife was responding to the damsel¡¯s insouciant smile with an abashed facial expression¡
- ¡Such a well behaved noble!
- Isn¡¯t she?!
The husband concurred, probably relieved that he didn¡¯t have to deal with her ¡°bad side¡± furthermore.
Rayn kept her pace rhythmically and took a turn round the corner of the last house in a row of bungalows in order to get to a small marketplace where she stepped by just to buy some freshly baked bread and lingonberry juice from her favorite bakery store.
In the dining room in her huge villa back at home there would be a full breakfast table awaiting her,
served by their pantryman, but¡he already knew her routines, even if the father favored a free ride for his precious daughter throughout her entire life where work wasn¡¯t something to prioritize, not even to cook her own food. The waiter would dish everything up, then once his boss left for work he stored the refrigerated products and what do you think he does with the heated up dishes? Guessed right. Even a ¡°flawless¡± place like Concrete Force secreted its shadows¡ the chaotic minds of the homeless¡ä were set on ease for a while when their starving stomachs got fed. Rayn loved Mr. Colton, he possessed such a humble soul.
Passing by a playground she couldn¡¯t help but let the presence of a lone lad who was squatting down in the sand catch her attention¡ She leisurely strolled by, occupied a swing and started rocking it from side to side with her toes drilled down in the gravel containing ground. This was such a sumptuous viewpoint in the outskirts of town to the southeast¡ the green landscape below next to the flooding waterfall, it was really beautiful.
- Hey there.
She called out, waiting for a reaction from the younger boy.
He didn¡¯t reply directly, just letting out a deep sigh¡ but eventually he muttered something she quite couldn¡¯t perceive.
- What did you say? Mind repeating yourself?
She waited, but no response was given.
- Hey, what¡¯s wrong?
The raven eyed his back with her sapphire blue eyes¡ something was clearly wrong with this guy, and she was going to find out what it was.
- Talk to me.
She crouched down next to him and grabbed his arm¡
- H-hey-¡
For a moment there he startled her. He was frowning, glaring back at her over his shoulder with crossed arms over his chest, and suddenly¡ his irises altered their tints.
- Huh?
With a stare their gazes met¡ several seconds passed and then¡ he was gone. It was just like¡ he never had been there to begin with.
¡°So strange¡¡±
She thought to herself as she left the playground.
"Who was that person? It seems to me like¡ we have met before."

Chapter 1, Introduction (Part 2, a memory?)
One week later:
- So¡ my daughter¡ what was it that you certified as important to speak to me about currently?
Did he really become this formal in his speech? Ever since he went on that business appointment with his clients overseas last week Rayn¡¯s father had started to avoid her more than usual¡ at times he didn¡¯t even seem to dare to look her in the eyes while they were having a conversation between each other.
In regular cases he called her by her last name, asked her about her day once they shared some quality time round the dining table, which, to mention was the only period of spare time he had for her, except from a rapid ¡°goodnight¡± during the evening, and left a note during the morning hours in case there was something she needed to be aware of, but now not even those things were the minimum of what she could expect from him¡
If it wasn¡¯t for her own intention to demand communication with him by treading into his office a jet black Saturday night, after an act of cautiously, still determinedly, knocking on his door with a tied fist, this conversation would probably never have occurred in the first place.
- Father-...
She sounded the word with a face showing an insensitive disregard for him, she wanted to crack a smile but simply couldn¡¯t¡ her emotions wouldn¡¯t allow it. Averting her eyesight she bit her lower lip and gloated on the carpet covered floor.
- ¡You cannot deny the truth forever. What is it that you¡¯re hiding from me?
Your actions have been showing proof of an odd behavior lately, and I want to know why you¡¯re avoiding me.
Somehow she managed to surprise herself this time around¡ this was the first time she had ever spoken her mind to her older and wiser parent¡ someone who presumably deprecated of her because she wasn¡¯t born of the male sex.
The dad¡¯s facial expression was characterized by a furrowing of his brows as he folded his fingertips against his palms. The man would in the intervening period of time emit a long, deep breath signifying a similar impression to tiredness, or perhaps aggravation? Maybe it had been a bad idea for Rayn to confront him after all?
...However, it was too late for her to redo her mistakes now.
-Rayn-...
An unspecified thing had altered in his voice and the pewter gray haired male with those, closely described as uncanny, spruce blue eyes, and ghostly pale skin, considered carefully if the decision to tell her about the complete story was a prudent idea or not¡ This man had always been good at reading body languages and secrete his own sensations and emotions, but it had always been different regarding the relation he had with his daughter¡ Of course the easiest match for him would be to comprehend that she hadn¡¯t noticed those ¡°inconsiderable¡± hints he gave her throughout the years of a truthful conduct, which turned out to become a relief since he had a hard time trusting people with the flashbacks related to his past and ever since his beloved wife passed hence he obtained several main traits of an introvert¡äs and distanced himself from others.
- ¡I would be lying if I uttered a false statement circling round the fact that I haven¡ät been avoiding a specific topic while speaking to you, my daughter... this is something I even believe that you do deserve to be in on-...
The raven¡¯s eye globes widened in stupefaction¡ was this some kind of dream scenario?
No¡ she pinched herself in the arm. This was reality, and for once¡ her dad trusted her enough to share valid, significant information with her, and she had a hard time grasping why all of a sudden he settled to do so?
- Father, please¡ do not interrupt yourself in your remark, just tell me what there is for me to gain perception of?
- Rayn, this is not easy. In order for me to explain I need you to promise me one thing.
A promise?
The girl wondered what this oath could be all about¡
- What kind of promise is in consideration here?
- It is not something your life depends on, but¡ you still need to keep your awareness with you.
I unintentionally made a couple of bad investments abroad¡ and now one of my companies has fallen victim of temporary bankruptcy. If I can¡¯t lay my hands on a sufficient amount of money then we are destined to face some problematic issues ahead of us¡
- So? Where are you going with this? Why are you querying your ability of solving the issue?
Without giving much thought to it Rayn began to realize how something incessantly changed in her speech¡
the formality slowly vanished and for once she could speak, well¡ with a facile, relaxed tone to the man.
- Dad, I don¡¯t buy it. You-¡
She gulped, Mr. Ross Rayn arose from his armchair and made his way over to her. The movements of each stride he took were hurried, long and decisive. Positioning his hands upon her shoulders he clutched them and frowned. Awoken inertly there was a feeling of botheration and once the male glared into her irises she would instantly blench back somewhat¡
- Rayn, actually your life is in danger. Since I do not wish for you to be taken away from me and brought into the imperishable celestial sphere which will separate your soul from your human body and never offer you the chance to return from the heavens, I want you to be cautious¡ I know that this will sound unfair, but I don¡¯t want to tell you everything just yet¡ it feels like this is not the right moment to fulfill that wish.
But I swear to you, my one and only precious daughter, that I will work things out and eventually¡
you will not have to worry anymore, about anything!
Rayn couldn¡¯t believe what she just heard¡ how could her life possibly be at risk?
An even better question¡ how could this be anything but the perfect opportunity for her dad to tell her about the entire story?
- Dad, are you-¡?
He was shedding tears¡ this was the first time she had ever regarded a crying daddy¡ he must really have been upset with other words, and she who always had accused him for not ¡°wanting¡± her...
- H-hey¡ don¡¯t cry. Everything¡ will be okay. Trust me¡-
- ¡Rayn, how can you act-¡ so calm?
She let out a sigh, this was of no use and he knew that as well as she did. To feel sympathy for someone and let them narrate what their emotions reveal about their mood, that wouldn¡¯t solve anything at all.

- I don¡¯t know but somehow I¡¯m lacking affection right now. Once I heard these news¡ well, I¡¯m just feeling so inexpressive right now.
- Maybe we both merit a good night of sleep right now?
- That doesn¡¯t sound too bad, to being honest with you.
The embrace she had gingerly caught him in was evanescing as she greeted her father a ¡°goodnight¡± and headed upstairs towards her room. Lying in bed with her occiput resting against the embroidered pillow and her body tucked into a thick, warm velvety quilt her brain didn¡¯t linger until it allowed her to fall asleep¡
- Good morning, sleepy head.
- Mm¡
- I said, good morning, sleepy head!
- H-huh?
The pretty sunrise and the sound of a constant badgering eventually awoke a fatigued, young female.
She yawned and peered up with dark, deep bags under her twitching eyes. Glaring at the first thing she could spot with her vision a mischievous smirk caught her view.
The smile belonged to a young boy, around her age¡ she wasn¡¯t sure yet since he ¡°didn¡¯t want to tell her¡± more than the facts she cared to ¡°spare¡±¡ To being really fair, and if it wasn¡¯t for a fluent, carefree attitude which was as easy to read as an open book, and his name, she would have to call him a ¡°stranger¡±.
- So, you¡¯re finally awake, heh?
- I guess....
She shrugged, not giving much thought to it as she tossed down the fleece felt which covered her bare shoulders on the ground and would immediately head off to a nearby lake where she went for a dip.
Unlacing a sash round her waist, undressing her upper body and pulling down those shorts and knickers over her legs she threw off her shoes and ran at full speed over a short distance straight out in the water, pushed off and dived down underneath the surface.
A feeling of the fluid liquid substance which pressured her lungs, provoked her, challenged her to hold her breath for as long as she possible could meanwhile her yet vivid body and a determined mind would keep her from losing consciousness¡ The itching and fuzzy impression once you gaze up to view a deep water enriched region filled with wonderment, those air bubbles which provides entertainment as they leave your nostrils to flow up and connect with the surface and those admirable stains of sunrays which radiate down towards it from the atmosphere¡ All in all this was a paradise, and at times she bet with herself that she would much rather prefer to be one of those aquatic creatures than a living human being. Everything seemed¡ so much simpler and serenely here.
- Rayn!
¡°Huh?¡±
Right in the middle of her make-believes she was interrupted by a loud shout¡ sorely she regarded this with a sullenly inner mutter before she swum up towards the upper waves again and whipped quickly up and backwards with her head so that her short, spiky, black strands of hair would land smoothly against the back of her neck instead of the other effect that they would aggravate her chances of catching sight of things.
- What is it?
The ginger with emerald green eyes waved at her from the shore with a bag full of freshly baked bread in hand and two bottles of beverage buried halfway into the sand.
- Want breakfast?
- Sure, I guess¡
She nodded as she approached land, giving him a hint that he should give her some space while she put on her duds again. Decent as he were he left for a short period of time before he asked her if he could return as she plainly responded by sitting down on the ground with crossed legs, grab one of the cans, pour down the new-laid liquor in her throat and gulp it aloud. He smiled at her as he quaffed down his beverage as well and then wiped away a drop of saliva from the corner of his mouth.
- Tell me one thing, Rayn. Is there any better way than to start your day off with a quick dip in the sea and alcohol?
- You didn¡¯t even bathe¡ how do you know what the experience is like?
She gave him a suspicious look and nibbled on her bread.
- Well¡
Apparently he needed to second think this¡ easily guessed.
Rayn noticed how he propped his chin in the palm of his left hand meanwhile he crouched down on the ground¡ then he started to write something with his index finger in the sand. She needed to take a closer look on this in order to find out what he was doing¡
- Why are you writing ¡°the sun will never shine as bright upon us as it does¡ today¡±? Are you on to something? What was the percent of this sludge anyway?
She met his glance by an instant and frowned while she was holding the can grasped between her palms.
- No¡ you¡¯re getting this all wrong. But¡ see it as a¡ message. Yes, a message! Signalizing that you should make the most of every day and live in the present, because you will never know when each scenario is coming to an end!
- But isn¡¯t your message a little unclear? If the sun won¡¯t shine as bright as it does today ever again, doesn¡¯t that mean that you predict a darker future?
- Might be¡ but who knows what the future has to bring?Who knows what will happen in an hour?
We might be defunct by then so it¡¯s better to receive every chance and opportunity you get with a smile featuring your lips and an open mind. Don¡¯t be afraid to take risks and do not doubt people, because in the very end,
if you¡¯re acting too cautious, you will much likely regret it¡
- Interesting¡ are you a versifier or something?
She couldn¡¯t deny the statement that his point of view was very unusual. Back in her city she would only encounter people, both in her home district, school and communal market street who showed a lack of proper concern, this was even called a cavalier, proud attitude. Of course, this was more of a "noble" attitude meanwhile the commoners were much more humble than that... although... he was different, that¡¯s for sure¡
Somehow a desire, having as a prominent aspect to find out more about his past, grew in her inclination, and she clearly didn¡¯t mind that he of all people chose to accompany her on her leg-bail.
- Not really¡ I¡¯m just a waste of space.
- Why would you say that?
- Hmm¡ that¡¯s not a bad question¡ not a very bad question at all!
He arose to his feet and offered her a hand, supporting her as she wouldn¡¯t object but to stand up as well as she accompanied him for a walk in the woods.
- Where are you going?
- You¡¯ll see! But, Rayn, let me answer your question with another question! Have you ever heard of a large, undercity district, lying in the deep canyons and valleys threading Pursuedale, even known as The persecuted village?
- Of course I do, lately our people in this country haven''t been talking about anything else according to the news!
Naturallyshe should have been aware, it wasn''t like she was animmigrant or something... still he needed to make sure that she didn''t suspect anything about him, according to the fact that he were one of the fellows who survived the attack from Pursuedale.
- Do you know what happened to the people after the invasion, the cevil population who was forced to flee for their lives and abandon their homes?
- No¡ why are you asking me this?
Should he continue or stop?He took notice after all and she seemed to get impatient, a remarkable sign since a too vexed Rayn usually resulted in a prospective silence as she sounded a barely audible, dissatisfied utterance and crossed her arms over her chest with a gloating regard towards the ground...
- Hey, I¡¯m just asking a couple of things and you¡¯re already getting annoyed? Are you really that short tempered?
The ginger, even known as Moore, peeked back at her over his shoulder with a sigh. Not till long afterwards he shortened his steps and thenceforth brought those to an abrupt halt.
- Why did you stop walking?
- Hey¡ let me ask you one other thing. How much do you want to find out about me?
I¡¯m asking these questions because they are substantiating a personal case of mine, and you already know that I won¡¯t tell you more about myself than you do about yourself-¡
- End of discussion, I¡¯m not interested anymore.
And with those words the sapphire blue eyed female with a white-livered skin turned around and deflected her steps in the opposite direction from which they were moving, back to the camping place.
- Where are you going?!
He shouted after her but the great demanded response never came¡
With a wide-awakened stare Rayn threw herself up in the bed.
- W-what-¡
What kind of dream was that?
Arising to her feet she entered the bathroom next door and looked upon her own reflection in the mirror.
She had already kindled the lamp inside of the room, but after the pass of a few seconds a flasher managed to short-circuit the electricity in the block area¡
How come?
(Who was that boy, what kind of message did this dream want to convey? Stay tuned ^^ )
