 Chapter 1-

    As the cruise ship crept closer and closer in the dead of night, to the island town of Shel a figure walked out onto the deck, it was a young boy, he was of medium height, he had medium length dark blue hair, his silver eyes shone brightly against the light of the moon, he seemed to also be wearing a bluish black school uniform blazer and black pants. He looked over the horizon, and he sighed "So, that''s where I''ll be living from now on" he stared at the light up buildings'' of the island town, a frown appeared on his face "Will things get better if I live here?" he started to ponder. At that moment another figure came out onto the deck, "Master" came a feminine voice, the boy looked back and the figure was revealed to be a girl, she was a head taller then him, she had long silverish white hair that like the boys eyes, shone brightly against the moon, as did her golden eyes. She had on a dark blue sleeveless coat that stopped at her midriff, around her neck was a black chocker with a sapphire blue stoned broach attached to it with dark blue ribbons flowing from it, she also had a dark blue a white trimmed pareo skirt tied around her waist that flowed in the wind.


    Underneath that, she had a pair of black shorts, on her feet she wore white short boots that was paired with black stockings that stopped at her thighs, "Lunellea" the girl was the boys Spirit Partner, a being that was common in the boys world, they bonded with a human and would stay by there side and enter a Master/Servant pact. This allowed the bonded person to give their Spirit Partners orders which, they had to fallow, the boys sighed as the girl he called Lunellea walked up and stopped in front of him, "Come on Lunellea, I told you not to call me that" the girl nodded, upon closer expectation the girls eyes showed no expression whatsoever, "I''m sorry Master, I mean Minato-san" the boy smiled. His full name was Minato Yukaze, the reason he was on a boat in the middle of the night heading for Shel was something he didn''t want to think about. "Minato-san, why are you out here, you should be sleeping" the boy sighed and turned to look out the horizon again, "I couldn''t sleep" he took a shuddering breath, Lunellea stood beside him looking out at the horizon with him, she made no eye contact with him, "Did you have that dream again?" a groan came from Minato.


    "I take that as a yes?" Minato nodded, "That''s the fifth time during this whole trip" Minato sighed "I know, that''s more then usual" Lunellea took in a breath, "Are you sure your okay with this?" Minato lowered his head, and gripped the railing of the ship, even though he didn''t want to he started remembering why he was on the cruise ship, heading to the island town of Shel, an incident had occurred at his school, something he wanted to forget entirely, it had caused him great emotional pain, so much so, he couldn''t stand to leave his own home. After weeks of this behavior his parents, not wanting to see their son in such a state any longer, decided it was best that he''d go live with his older cousin who lived in Shel, until he felt like he wanted to go back home, which he felt like there would be no way he could ever go back, not after what had happened. "It''s nothing for me to be okay with" he sighed sadly, "This is something I have to accept" he looked up at the distant island that was Shel, "I''ll be living the rest of my life here" he leaned onto the railing, "After what happened..." he shook his head.

    He didn''t want to continue remembering what had happened, he felt Lunellea place her hand on his shoulder, he looked over and saw she was looking him in the face, "This will work out, you''ll see" he sighed and smirked, "I hope your right" Lunellea took her hand off Minato''s shoulder, she then looked back out on the horizon, Minato eyed her, unlike most Spirit Partners, Lunellea was completely different. Most Spirit Partners were small animals or that varied in size and shape, Lunellea though, she was a different case, she looked every bit like a normal human girl who just had a thing for cosplay, this had unnerved his parents at first but, they had accepted her none the less, but Minato felt others would have different opinions, so he made Lunellea promise not to show herself when lots of people were around, and to only show herself when the two were alone, or at home. He did this because if someone found out about her appearance, and it got out to the world, people would be trying to take her away from him which, would be bad for Lunellea as once a Spirit is bonded with a person, if they are separated for a long period of time they will cease to exist.


    And Minato felt that he needed Lunellea more then ever, but, there was one more thing about her that was completely different from all Spirit Partners something, he had kept secret from his parents, something only he had knowledge of, Lunellea had free will, she did things of her own accord instead of being told by her Master, Minato, all Spirit Partners had to adhere to their Masters command, but not Lunellea, Minato didn''t have to tell her to do anything. That made her even more special alongside her humanoid form, if someone found that out, there''d be nowhere he could hide from people who wanted to study her which is why he accepted his parents proposal of going to live with his cousin on Shel. "Don''t you worry, I''ll be sure to protect you from any harm" Minato looked over at Lunellea, there it was again, Lunellea''s overprotective nature, for some odd reason she was more protective of him then a normal Spirit Partner would be, which he had no clue as to why. He cracked a smile, "Thanks, I''m glad I have you by my side, Lunellea" Lunellea''s body stiffened, Minato thought he saw her blushing but, she turned her face before he could get a good look, "Don''t mention it" Minato chuckled.


    Once more, he looked out at Shel, his soon to be new home, "So this is where my new life will begin" he took in a breath, a flash of what had happened back home came to his mind, he frowned "I hope, something like that, doesn''t happen again" he sighed, "I think I''ll try to get some sleep" he released his grip of the railing, he stretched his arms and yawned, he started walking off, "You coming Lunellea?" Lunellea took one last hard look at Shel, "Yes, I''m coming Minato-san" she then fallowed behind Minato all the while one thing swirled in her head, "I will not allow Master to ever go through something like that again" in a split second, her expressionless eyes turned into almost demonic looking eyes, and on the sapphire blue stoned broach around her neck, a symbol of a black moon appeared.[Ch.1 END]

 Chapter 2

    As the sun rose high into the sky, the ship slowly came into port of Shel a signal bell sounded telling all passangers they were arriving at their destination. Inside one of the cabins of the ship, Minato was laying in bed,he was covered passed his neck and was snoring softly he snorted as the bell roused him but, not so much that he stayed awake as he went right back to sleep. A knock came at his door, "Minato-san" came Lunellea''s voice "Minato-san? Are you awake?" outside, Lunellea stood in front of Minato''s door, her hand ready to knock again, "Minato-san, the ship is about to dock" she heard no response, she sighed "Minato-san!" no answer. She heard a snort come from inside the room, "Minato-san?" she thought he had finally woken up but, silence returned, Lunellea sighed, "Guess I''ve got no choice" she grabbed the doorknob and pulled the door open she walked inside Minato''s cabin she saw him still snoring away in the bed, she grumbled, she walked over to the side of the bed.


    She leaned down and stared at him, he was sound asleep, Lunellea could only think of one thing that would wake him up."Master, it''s time to wake up" no response, she giggled in Minato''s ear, "Master, if you don''t wake up right now, I''ll have to kiss you awake" she leaned down closer to his face letting her hair touch his nose, which started to twitch, still he didn''t move, "Well then,you leave me no choice" she closed her eyes and pursed her lips. Slowly, she etched closer and closer to Minato''s lips, then suddenly his eyes shot open, his vision was filled with the sight of Lunellea closing in to kiss him, he went red in the face, he quickly pulled himself away "I''m up! I''m up!" Lunellea opened her eyes and smirked.


    "Good to see your awake Minato-san" Minato sighed, "Do you have to do that?" Lunellea chuckled "It got you up didn''t it?" Minato couldn''t argue, the stunt she had pulled really had woken him up, he nodded "I was already awake to begin with though" he argued, Lunellea hummed skeptically, "Are you sure you didn''t want me to really kiss you?" Minato''s already red face went darker. "N-Not Really..." he looked away a bit flustered, Lunellea chuckled "Your so cute when your flustered" Minat grumbled annoyed,"Would you stop teasing me, anyway, I''d like to get dressed if you don''t mind" Lunellea stood up straight, she smiled "Yes Minato-san" she gave a bow and she walked out his cabin and waited outside the closed door.

    Minato sighed, "She always does that when I don''t wake up right away" his face was still flushed with red, he slapped both his cheeks with his hands to clear his mind, "Alright, guess it''s time to check out my new home" he threw off the bed covers and hopped out, he quickly slipped on the clothes he had taken off before he had went back to bed, as he got dressed, he remebred the conversation he had with Lunellea, "I hope this place will be better" he gave a sad smile. Outside, Lunellea waited paitenly for Minato to get ready, a few minutes had passed and the door finally opened,and Minato stepped out fully dressed, "Ready?" she looked at him as he closed the cabin door behind him, "As ready as I''ll ever be" he smirked at that moment a intercom came on, "Attention all passangers, the ship has arrived at Shel" Minato and Lunellea exchanged a nod, "Shall we get going?" she smiled "Yeah, lets go our new home awaits" Minato started walking and Lunellea fallowed behind him, once they stepped off the ship, they''d be starting their new life on Shel.[Ch.2 END]

 Chapter 3

    The cruise ship slowly came to a stop in Shel''s port, the whistle blew loudly and the walk way was lowered, the passangers started to walk off the ship in large groups among one of the groups was Minato, he stepped off the ship and looked around at his new surroundings "This is where we''ll be living from now on" came a feminie voice out of nowhere, it was Lunellea, she had made herself invisible as Minato didn''t want to cause a stur if he would walk off the ship with her right behind him. Minato could see that most of the people around the port had Spirit Partners with them, he saw many different shapes and colors and sizes, some were animal like some were elemntal spirits, which was normal for regular Spirit Partners except, for Lunellea.


    "Shall we go?" he smiled "Yes" Lunellea replied Minato started walking "Do you know where we''re going?" Minato hummed and he remebered something at that moment, his parents had given him a note with directions on it, he rummaged in his pocket and pulled said paper out. He unfolded it and studied it, "Hmm, according to this, my cousin lives in the South District" Minato hummed in confusion "You have no idea how to get there do you?" Minato nodded he heard Lunellea sigh "Great, we''re lost already" Minato groaned.


    "I can''t help it! This is my first time here!" a passerby looked Minato''s way, he shuddered, with Lunellea unable to be seen he must have looked like a crazy person talking to himself, he laughed and smiled nervously and the passerby looked away Minato sighed "I gotta be careful in front of people" it was hard having Lunellea invisble, but, it''s what stopped her from being seen. Minato wished he could just let Lunellea stay visible instead of having her hide all the time, it would make talking with her seem less crazy, Minato went back to studying the directions, he grumbed and groaned as he tried to make sense of them. Suddenly a different feminine voice came from behind him, "Is something the matter?" Minato looked to his left and saw a older girl who was a bit taller then him, she had shoulder length arburn hair, and she had amber eyes,she was wearing a blue and green striped shirt paired with a knee length black skirt. Minato blushed, the girl was beautiful, "I said, is something wrong?" the girl repeated herself, Minato shook his head "Uhm, yeah kind of" the girl had a concerned look on her face "What''s the problem?" Minato sighed "Uhm, you wouldn''t know how to get to the South District would you?" the girls eyes lit up.


    She nodded "Sure I do! I live there" Minato smiled "Really, then, if it''s not too much trouble, can you tell me how to get there?" the girl smiled "I can do better, I can show you how to get there!" Minato rubbed the back of his head "Uhm, no, you don''t have to" the girl took Minato''s hand which made him blush, "No, please! Allow me to show you the way" the girls smile was more then Minato could take. He sighed defeatedly, "Okay, you can show me the way" the girl giggled "Alright! Come on, this way!" she started to pull Minato along with her Minato''s face was red as it could get, this was his first time holding hands with a girl, and an older one at that. He wasn''t going to lie, he was kind of enjoying having such a beautiful girl holding his hand and dragging him along with her he suddenly heard an angry grumble behind him, his body jolted, "Crap, she''s mad" this was another of Lunellea''s quirks, she''d get mad for some unkown reason when he got close to another girl. Whenever she got like this, Minato would always be in for an earful once the two of them were alone "You seem to be enjoying yourself" he heard Lunellea say through a angry grumble "Come on! Don''t be like that! She''s just showing me the way!" the girl looked at him "Did you say something?" Minato jumped "Uh, no! Nothing!" the girl shurgged and looked away.


    Minato sighed, "Uhm, what''s you name?" the girl looked back at him, "Oh! How forgetful of me, my names Yui, Yui Sakuro" the girl bowed her head, Minato smiled "Nice to meet you Yui-san, oh, my name Minato by the way, Minato Yukaze" the girl smiled "I see, nice to meet you Minato-kun" Minato blushed and nodded he heard another angry gurmble form Lunellea and he sighed, he was diging his own grave. "Kyuu!" came a small cry, Minato looked around confused "What was that?" Yui giggled "Oh, that''s just Kyubi" Minato gave a confused look "Kyubi?" suddenly, Minato saw a small white ball of fur poke out from Yui''s hair, he stared hard at it, then it cried "Kyuu!" Minato gasped as the white ball of fur revealed itself to be a small round creature with long pointed ears, it looked at him with big blue eyes, behind it a small poof resembling a tail wagged back and forth behind it. "Kyuu!!" it cried again in a almost greeting tone, "So, your Kyubi" the creature gave an acknowledging nod "Nice to meet you, I''m Minato" "Kyuu!" it cried happily then it had an almost puzzled look on it''s face, "Kyuu?" it cried, Minato noticed that Kyubi wasn''t looking at him but, behind him, he was a bit shocked, "Don''t tell me he can see Lunellea?" he whispered to himself.

    "Stop looking at me!" he heard Lunellea yell, Kyubi cried in surprise and looked away scared, he even started to shake, Yui noticed "Aw, whats wrong Kyubi?" Kyubi gave a whimpering cry, "Sorry, he''s usually not afraid of other people" Minato chuckled nervously "Don''t worry about it" he knew it wasn''t him Kyubi was scared of, he glanced back with a glare "What?" Minato grumbled "Why''d you do that!" Lunellea huffed "He would have exposed me" Minato gave an exsaperated sigh. As Yui pulled Minato along with her she started making small talk, "So, what brings you to Shel?" Minato smiled "Well, I''m moving here" Yui gave an itrigued hum "It''s not very often someone moves to Shel" Minato gave a confused look "Really?" Yui nodded "Yeah, usually people move from Shel" Minato was even more confused "Why is that?" Yui chuckled "You''ll see in a bit" Minato was doubly confused, what did Yui mean by that, "So, are your parents coming with you?" Minato shuddered "Uhm, no" Yui had a concerned look on her face. "Are you telling me your moving here by yourself?" Minato nodded "Mom and Dad had jobs back home, so they let me come by myself" Yui had a worried look on her face, "Are you going to be living alone then?" Minato shook his head, "Oh no, I''m not old enough to live on my own" Yui''s worried face seem to fade "So, you''ll be living with someone?" Minato nodded.


    "Yeah, I''m going to be living with my older cousin" Yui''s worried expression vanished and she smiled, "I see, what''s he like?" Minato shook his head, "No, my cousins a girl" Yui gasped "I see" Minato raised an eyebrow "Is something wrong with that?" Yui blushed and shook her head "No, theres nothing wrong with a teenage boy and older girl living together" Yui chuckled nervously, her face red, Minato wondered what Yui was thinking about, suddenly she gasped "Oh yeah! I too have a cousin coming here!" suddenly, a shocked look appeared on Yui''s face, "I was going to meet him at the port!" Yui stopped walking. Minato chuckled, "Then, I guess you Shouldn''t be showing me around Should you?" Yui sighed "Your right, I messed up" Minato laughed "Look, I''ll find my way just fine, you go back to the port to find your cousin" Yui seemed hesitant "But, I just can''t leave you when you need help" Minato smiled "Don''t worry, I''ll be just fine" Yui sighed "Okay" she let go of Minato''s hand. "Uhm, if you go about five miles that way, take a left turn at the cross section, then walk about another six miles and take a right turn at the crosswalk, then head straight for another three miles and then take a right at the cross section you''ll come to a sign showing you the way to the South District" Minato laughed half happily, "That''s alot of walking" Yui giggled "That''s why I said people move from Shel" Yui then realized what she was heading off to do "I''ve got to get back to the port!" she started running off.


    "Bye Minato-kun, I hope you get to your cousins house with no problem!" Minato smiled "Thanks, and I hope you find your cousin" Yui smiled back "Thanks! Seeya!" she waved as she ran off out of sight, Minato chuckled to himself "She was pretty nice" he then blushed "Not to mention real pretty" he heard a angry grumble from in back of him, he shuddered and suddenly he felt a wap on his head, "Ow!" he rubbed his head "Lunellea! What was that for!" he got no response all he heard was Lunellea walking away angrily. He groaned "Great, now she''s really pissed" he started walking after her, while he fallowed the peeved off Lunellea he thought of Yui, he had been really happy when she had asked to help him, it was something he never exerinced before, it made his heart feel warm. He smiled to himself, "You know, I think I might like this place after all" he heard Lunellea grumble and he felt another bump on his head "Ow!" he rubbed his head as Lunellea had hit him a second time.
