《I Raised Cinderella Preciously》
Chapter 1
Chapter 1
Chapter 1- I entered the body of the stepmother
There is a famous fairytale . A kind girl whose father and new mother got married and with her new elder sisters became a family of five . But one day, the father passed away and poor Cindere was abused under her ill-tempered stepmother and sisters .
¡°Cindere lost her parents while she was young and was scolded and beaten by her stepmother and sisters¡±
I was on the couch, humming the nursery rhyme that everybody knew from where I lived . The old deste grand mansion was empty and still . In the distance, only the constant sound of someone using a broom was heard .
If there is a God, I want to say something .
¡°Fork- Fork- Ai[1], Fork, aren¡¯t you being too mean?¡±
I have seen many stories, in novels, dramas and even historical characters but most of them are the main character, the main character¡¯s rival, the viin, the main character¡¯s sister, the brother-
Let¡¯s take a break . Hekhek
I stopped enumerating about absurd things and took a rough breath . If there is a God in this world then he must have no conscience .
I¡¯m not even younger .
There are also the side characters of the protagonist so why?! Why only me?!
¡°Oh wait, Let¡¯s not get carried away¡±
Hu, I¡¯m so agitated that I¡¯m about to have a fever . I¡¯m afraid I will die because of my clothes here .
Fortunately, there were no corsets, but that doesn¡¯t mean the clothes aren¡¯t ufortable . I jumped up, pulled the clothes on my body and grumbled again .
¡°Even if it¡¯s real, it¡¯s too much . ¡±
Over the past few days, I¡¯ve been screaming and jumping and did not have the strength to feel angry anymore .
There are a lot of cases like this but how can you even do this? Even if it¡¯s true, it¡¯s just not possible . I raised my middlefinger to God whom I didn¡¯t know even existed once more . [2]
The enemy of all protagonists in a fairytale . An unrelenting existence . The stepmother . That¡¯s me .
¡°Fork¡ . ¡±
I¡¯m going crazy . I¡¯m sighing . I yelled at the sky once again .
¡°Ai, Fork!¡±
See? I can¡¯t swear because it¡¯s a fairy tale . Oh, Fork .
Cindere¡¯s house is very big . No, it¡¯s my house now . I¡¯m Cindere¡¯s stepmother, and my husband-Cindere¡¯s father- is dead .
Fred Barnes . He was a considerably rich man . He went aboard a ship two years ago saying he would trade . And, as it was, the ship went missing .
It was two days after I woke up in this body that I received a letter saying Fred¡¯s body was found .
The owner of this body, Mildred- married twice at the age of thirty-seven, widowed with her second husband- certainly did not love Fred . She married him because he was rich and handsome .
And it¡¯s hard for a woman to manage her property along with raising her two daughters alone .
But this man died and left her two years ago saying he would do business with half of Mildred¡¯s wealth . Oh, Fork .
And that was a week ago .
For a week, I kept denying, saying that this was a dream and was angry at what happened to me . I jumped up and down spitting and screaming out curses at nobody .
And of course, the curses were all fork, shirt or whatever it was . It was ridiculous . Oh Fork .
Anyways, I was forced to ept it in the end .
I¡¯m a 37-year-old stepmother whose husbands already died twice . I¡¯m Mildred Barnes .
This was real harsh, wasn¡¯t it? (alt: Wasn¡¯t this too much?)
Originally, I was a 27-year-old office worker . I cannot say that it was a good environment but the world I lived in was a world with air conditioning, washing machines and microwave ovens .
No air conditioning, no washing machines! Can¡¯t you have put me in a 17-year-old-body?!
Thirty-seven is too much! My ten years! What are you gonna do with my ten years!
Oh, I was agitated again . I clenched my fists and held it back . Inner peace, inner peace .
There¡¯s nothing I can do about it . I easy to calm down¡ª-not! I¡¯m still angry .
Now that I¡¯m in this body, the God of this world must exist . Or the bastard that made me do this .
When I meet him, I¡¯ll make sure to show him a three-punch corn![3]
I threw a punch at the dough as hard as I could . My fist went into the soft dough made of flour, water and yeast .
I feel a little relieved .
I didn¡¯t know my hobby in the original world would be useful here .
Mildred was originally a daughter of nobility . Mildred Murphy . That was her name before she married . The Murphy house was an old aristocratic family but not a wealthy one .
Fortunately, Mildred was quite a beauty . Although, I am now using this body, it is still beautiful enough to be stunned every time I look in the mirror .
ck hair and exotic green eyes . I only saw these kinds of beauties from the ssic Hollywood photos on the inte .
¡°Oh, Inte¡±
I groaned, clutching the dough tightly . I want to use the inte . I can hear the sound of a text message saying ¡°Katok!¡± on my phone somewhere .
I¡¯m feeling better now, but a week ago it was really bad . It wasn¡¯t just once or twice that I reached out my hand to find my phone because I felt the vibration of it .
Cellphone . Uh, I really want to touch it . t and hard, an enchanting figure in one¡¯s hands . s, cell phone . Do you know how much I love you?
When you press your finger on the home button, it sparkles and the LCD lights up . I feel a little happy when I think that each icon has the notification sign on it .
This dirty world, of course, has no cellphones, let alone the inte . Te! Le! Phone! In my world, that thing has be an old-fashioned relic!
From where I used to live, the babies born these days didn¡¯t even know what a telephone receiver was . To some extent, babies were even told to hold a mirror to make a phone call, not the telephone receiver that we know of .
But here?
If you ask me if I knew how to talk in real time with someone far away, I will ask you if I am a witch . Damn it .
¡°Mother¡±
Someone entered the kitchen door and called for her mother . I was staring at the dough thinking how good it would be if it were a cellphone .
¡°Mother¡±
I don¡¯t know who she is, but if she has a mother, she will answer . I was pounding the dough with my fists while thinking that .
¡°Mother¡±
The girl who came into the kitchen called, clinging close to me . I was startled and shouted, clutching the dough tightly with both hands .
¡°What? What did you say?¡±
¡°Mother, I¡¯m done cleaning¡±
A girl with brown curly hair stood beside me . The mother she was calling was me .
Oh, I always forget . I looked at Iris and sighed . Oh, Iris Barnes . Originally it was Iris Rivera but I married Barnes seven years ago so it became Iris Barnes .
¡°A, yeah, good job . What about Lily?¡±
Lily is Mildred¡¯s second daughter . Iris is neen while Lily is eighteen .
Isn¡¯t that great? Mildred is only thirty-seven and her daughters are already neen and eighteen . Women in this world can marry when they turn seventeen .
By the way, for men it¡¯s neen .
Thanks to it, Mildred had reached thirty-seven . She was a beautiful woman and at the age of seventeen, when she had her social debut, had received countless of marriage proposals . Among them, the man chosen by her father was the wealthy Baron Rivera .
Mildred seems to have been thankful to her father . I feel that way when I looked through her memories . Earl Murphy was an old house but it wasn¡¯t very wealthy, so it was good to marry the wealthy Baron Rivera .
But the biggest drawback of the rich and good man was that he was ugly .
¡°I¡¯m putting away the cleaning tools¡±
Iris said and began to add water to therge kettle . It looked like she was trying to boil water . I looked at Iris with brown hair and brown eyes and threw my fists at the dough again .
Mildred¡¯s only mistake was that she met the wrong guy . Her first husband, Baron Rivera, was nice and rich but ugly . What¡¯s wrong with that? It¡¯s because her daughter looks like her father .
It was difficult to describe Iris and Lily as beautiful even in ttery[4] . Of course, in Mildred¡¯s eyes, they were pretty .
But I¡¯m not Mildred . Of course, they were not pretty in my eyes .
The situation would have been better if Barnes had been as great as Mildred knew him to be before she had her second marriage .
No, it would¡¯ve been better if he didn¡¯t die doing business with half of Mildred¡¯s fortune . Then Mildred wouldn¡¯t have been a bad stepmother .
Now Mildred must raise three daughters, who are old enough to marry, in this big, old mansion . God must hate me right?
¡°Mother!¡±
Lily came in after Iris had boiled the water and left . Lily looked exactly like Iris but her eyes resembled Mildred¡¯s . She looked at me and asked, rolling up her sleeves
¡°What can I do to help?¡±
¡°I¡¯m fine¡±
My hands were full, and I needed to get something . I pointed to the cupboard with my chin and said
¡°Can you get me a bowl over there? Also, the cotton cloth . ¡±
The dough must be fermented . The aroma from the oven began to spread . Lilly took out the bowl and soaked the cotton cloth in water .
¡°It smells delicious¡±
¡°It¡¯s almost baked¡±
I put the dough in the bowl, covered it with the wet cotton cloth and put in the warmest ce in the kitchen . I slipped on my oven mittens and opened the oven .
Lily came to my side . The bread was deliciously cooked in the oven . There was no swelling nor were there any burnt ces . Watching me turn the bread around with a skewer, Lily eximed
¡°I didn¡¯t know Mother knew how to make bread¡±
I¡¯m sure you didn¡¯t know . The real Mildred has never tried frying an egg before, let alone baking bread . I pulled at the oven door so the bread wouldn¡¯t burn inside .
¡°I¡¯ll tell you how to do it soon . Knowing something like this should be useful¡±
I didn¡¯t know that knowing how to make bread would be so helpful . Besides that, ironing, washing the dishes, doing theundry . Knowing all of that was helpful .
And surprisingly, Mildred didn¡¯t know how to do any of those .
Looking at Mildred¡¯s memory, it did make sense . She had been an Earl¡¯s daughter, even if they weren¡¯t wealthy, she had be wealthy when she married the Baron . The food was always served at a certain schedule and was appetizing, other things such as dishes, undry and ironing were also done by the maids .
What Mildred only needed to do was to manage the maids and the house . Wow, all of a sudden Mildred¡¯s life is kind of envious .
Someone else preparing the meals and doing all the cleaning . Was it not the dream of every woman in my old world?
But Fred, who was married for the second time, found out that his business was not only doing bad, it was also failing . Mildred didn¡¯t even know . She was only thirty-seven but she couldn¡¯t believe she had to raise three daughters, two of her own and one who was her second husband¡¯s child .
Maybe Mildred was telling God what I was saying now, something like: ¡®Isn¡¯t this too much? Why are you doing this to me?¡¯ .
¡°Mother¡±
While taking the cooked bread out of the oven, Mildred¡¯s third daughter came into the kitchen . No she wasn¡¯t Mildred¡¯s, but Fred¡¯s daughter from his ex-wife .
Cindere .
[1] Original says ¡®shaba¡¯, but she is trying to say ¡®shibal¡¯ which is a curse word in korean meaning fuck so going with that, I went and copied the good ce ¨C> fuck=fork
[2] Raw: ??? ??? ?? ??? ??? ? ? ??? ??? ????, ? ??? ?? ? ??? . ?? ? ? ? ??????? ??? ?? ? ? ??????? ???? . I¡¯m not sure of the trantion .

Chapter 2
Chapter 2- I¡¯m in the stepmother¡¯s body (2)
¡°Could you take the te out . ¡±
I talked to Cindere while washing my hands at the sink . The girl with sparkling blonde hair and blue eyes answered, ¡°Yes . ¡± And reached into the cupboard .
Mildred hated this girl . Anyone would understand if they were in her position . She was courted by who she thought was a rich and handsome man and was tempted to marry since she had to raise her two daughters by herself . But when they married, not only did she found he was not rich, he was also a bastard with a failing business .
Then he left and disappeared saying he would take half of Mildred¡¯s wealth to do business .
Mildred was a rich woman . She had never even washed underwear with her own hands . But living with Fred made her life difficult .
But Fred was dead, and there was Fred¡¯s daughter in front of her . Unlike her daughters, who are not very pretty because they look like their father, Fred¡¯s daughter looked like the handsome Fred and her mother, so she was very beautiful . Standing side-by-side, even Mildred¡¯s eyes can see the difference and looking at others, the difference is even bigger .
Even if she didn¡¯t have a pretty child, because of the father, she will still have to raise her up until she would be married off . It is understandable why the stepmother hated Cindere .
Now you know that I¡¯m in the story of Cindere .
¡°ck!¡±
Just then, along with the sudden loud noise, Cindere shrieked in her small voice . What was that? I turned my head in surprise and sighed when I looked at the floor and found a broken te .
Yes . This was one of the things Mildred hated . Ashley, aka Cindere, was a bit clumsy and an airhead .
¡°Ah, I¡¯m sorry, Mother!¡±
But it¡¯s all good .
Ashley was startled and turned to clean the broken te . She then knocked off the te that was just taken out, with her elbow .
ng!
The game has begun . A bunch of tes were broken again, I put my hand on my forehead and sighed .
I¡¯m not Mildred . I understood her hatred of Ashley but that didn¡¯t mean she was right . Ashley is only seventeen years-old, ten years apart from my original age .
Mildred is twenty years older .
You can hate the child who is ten years younger, but you do not have to deliberately treat her like a maid .
¡°Wait, Wait, Wait¡±
I stopped Ashley from trying to touch the broken te with her bare hands . It is likely that her fingers will get cut while cleaning, because of the clumsiness of this child .
It would be difficult if this changes into Sleeping Beauty rather than Cindere . Then she¡¯ll have to sleep for a hundred years . I don¡¯t hate Cindere, and once she marries the prince, I want to go somewhere else and live in peace .
¡°Iris! Lily!¡±
¡°Mother, What¡¯s the matter-¡¡±
Hearing the broken te and my call, Iris ran into the kitchen . She quickly understood the situation and ran back . I pulled Ashley away from the broken shards of the te as far as I could .
¡°You¡¯re Cindere, not Sleeping Beauty¡±
¡°Eh, What?¡±
¡°Nothing . ¡±
Iris returned quickly with the broom .
¡°I- I¡¯ll do¡¡±
¡°No, Don¡¯t . You go clean up and prepare the table . ¡±
Ashley said she wanted to do it, but I sent her back to the dining room . It¡¯s not that I¡¯m worried about Ashley . It¡¯s because I don¡¯t like her working .
Meanwhile, Iris swept the kitchen . Not long after, Lily, who had been at my side, brought a dustpan and helped her clean the shards . But there was something more urgent than that . I carried the food I had prepared to the dining room .
¡°Mother¡±
As I carried the freshly baked bread and ham to the dining room, Ashley came in and called me . Didn¡¯t I tell you to clean up the table?
When I saw the table, there were no utensils nor tesid out . What was this? As I looked at her in disbelief, Ashley ran to me in excitement that I wondered if she couldn¡¯t see my expression .
¡°We have a guest!¡±
¡°Guest?¡±
Someone must have knocked on the door . Of course, a knock on the door can¡¯t be heard in the kitchen of this unnecessarilyrge house .
¡°It¡¯s from the castle!¡±
Ashley¡¯s voice was high with excitement . Hearing this, Iris and Lily, who were cleaning the kitchen also ran out .
¡°Who¡¯s here?¡± Lily asked .
She must have heard that they came from the castle .
Why were people from the castle here? Mildred was ady from a noble family, but when she married Barnes, she became distant to the aristocratic society . It was because Barnes was not a nobleman .
There¡¯s no reason for someone from the castle toe to this house- Wait .
My gaze turned to Ashley . This is Cindere . And Cindere attends a ball at the castle and leaves her ss slipper behind .
¡°I¡¯ll get the door¡±
I took off my apron and left the dining room . I heard the children sneaking behind me, but I pretended not to notice .
The man from the castle stood outside the wide-open front door . It¡¯s really from the castle . Even if Ashley hadn¡¯t said it was from the castle, I definitely would have known it was from there .
The outfit he wore was of someone working from the castle . This was not from my memory, It was Mildred¡¯s .
¡°Are you from the castle?¡±
I stepped out the door and asked . The man, who was looking at the exterior of the house, was startled by my voice, looked at me . He straightened his posture and said
¡°I am from the castle . Is Mrs . Barnes avable?¡±
I¡¯m Mrs . Barnes . I smoothly stepped aside the door and answered the man
¡°I¡¯m Mrs . Barnes . Would you like toe in?¡±
¡°Mrs . Barnes?¡±
A surprised look shed on man¡¯s face . Hmm¡ Mildred looks younger than her age . She¡¯s a beautiful woman . However, it wasn¡¯t polite to openly look so surprised .
That was what Mildred remembered .
Fortunately, the man gave a caught himself and replied
¡°No . I was ordered to only deliver the letter . ¡±
He then took a letter from the bag he was carrying on his shoulder . When I took a peak at the gap, I found that there were a bunch of letters and it wasn¡¯t just me he was delivering to .
¡°Well, that¡¯s it¡±
Huh? Was that it? While I was staring at the wax seal on the letter, the man greeted me and withdrew . A short distance away from the house, I saw a man riding on a horse . Huh . I watched him leave on the horse and turned back .
¡°Why was he here?¡±
¡°What¡¯s going on?¡±
When I entered the house, Iris and Lily were together . Ashley also looked curious but was hesitating nearby to follow Iris and Lily .
Seeing something like this in front of me, makes me feel helpless .
¡°I¡¯ll see you in the dining room¡±
I went back to dining room with the children . The food I prepared was still there . Bread and some ham . Also a sd .
Knowing the children were curious, I sat down and began to slice and distribute the bread . This world also sells bread . I didn¡¯t really have to make it, but kneading the bread is good for stress .
Besides, modern people like me who are addicted to the inte need something to y[1] with their hands .
¡°Mother, open up the letter, ne?¡±
In the end, Lily, who couldn¡¯t stand it anymore, pleaded .
Even Iris was staring at me with longing eyes . Only after looking at Ashley, did I sigh and open the envelope .
In the past, a maid or a butler would have prepared a paper knife to open the letter but when Fred went missing and the hope of himing back faded, Mildred fired all the servants and began treating Ashley like a maid .
That happened at the end ofst year, and it has been about half a year since Ashley started working like a maid .
¡°It¡¯s from the castle¡±
After opening the envelope and unfolding the letter, the elegant script[2] greeted me . Being able to read the letter is proof that Mildred was of noble birth .
Reading and writing script was one of the basics taught to children of aristocratic families . Or to those rich people who want to get involved in the aristocratic circle .
So Mildred was proud in being able to read script . Moreover, Ashley was not taught the script .
This was not Mildred¡¯s fault . Iris and Lily learned it when they were young as children under Baron Rivera¡¯s household . But it might be a good idea to teach Ashley too . After all, she will marry the prince and be queen .
I read the letter quickly, thinking that I would have to teach Ashley script too, sooner orter .
It said the children of our house are invited to attend a ball to be held at the castle . At the end of the letter, the names of us four are written down .
As I lifted my head, I could see the children staring at me with sparkling eyes . This isplicated . Trying to not let it show on my face, I spoke
¡°We¡¯re invited to a ball at the castle . ¡±
¡°Really?¡±
¡°When will it be held?¡±
Two monthster, Mildred¡¯s experience will shed light to a famous clothing store downtown in the city .
Unlike the three excited children, I felt a little unhappy . I felt like I have confirmed that this was really the world of Cindere . And in Cindere, the stepmother and stepsisters didn¡¯t have a good ending .
¡°We are going, right, mother?¡±
Lily asked in excitement . Of course, we¡¯re going . But we don¡¯t know what will happen to Ashley . Even if she can¡¯t go, a fairy godmother will show up to let her go .
I put down the letter and said shakily
¡°The four of us are going¡±
¡°Four?¡±
Iris¡¯ eyes widened and Lily¡¯s gaze turned to Ashley . Ashley, too, had a surprised look on her face knowing that she would also be going .
I picked up the bread on my te and spoke gently
¡°We¡¯ll all go . The invitation also includes Ashley¡¯s name . ¡±
¡°But¡¡±
Lily opened her mouth and was trying to say something but soon flinched and stopped . Iris must have kicked her shin under the table . I saw Lily ring at Iris .
I ignored Lily and Iris arguing at each other with their eyes and asked Ashley .
¡°Ashley, do you have a dress?¡±
Obviously, since this is Cindere, she will have a fairy godmother make it for her . But if I had a dress made for myself, Iris and Lily and don¡¯t make one for her, it would be a bit weird .
Understandably, Ashley shook her head .
¡°No, I don¡¯t¡±
¡°Then I¡¯ll have to go to the dress shop tomorrow¡±
¡°To have a dress made?¡±
Lily asked quickly, as if I would run . Going shopping for clothes always feels good . Back in my original world, my shopping cart[3] was packed with 500,000 won worth of clothes .
Of course, I just put it in the basket and did not buy it . Why? Money! Money! Because of Money!
¡°I think I¡¯ll have to buy cloth and make it myself¡±
I remembered how much fortune Mildred had left in my head . She mostly only had some pieces of jewelry and not much cash . So, all the servants were fired .
The jewelry would make a lot of money if sold but Mildred could not sell it . As she was born and raised under the house of Earl Murphy, those were essories her parents had given her . The others were wedding gifts from Baron Rivera .
I guess one day, when Iris and Lily got married, she nned for it to be a dowry .
The jewelries and wedding gifts she got from Fred were already sold off and taken by Fred for his business .
I¡¯m going to have to raise a middle finger to Fred before I sleep .
And there¡¯s this one small building . The rent of the four families living there was enough to support their household¡¯s expenses although the constructor of the building, who lives on the top, was the one managing it . [4]
I feel a bit strange . Originally, I was an office (contract) worker and rented a ce to live . My biggest goal and dream were to have my own house .
But Mildred lives in such a huge mansion and even has a small building . If she lives frugally then she won¡¯t need to worry about money for life . But, was she happier than me?
[1] Raw: ??? literally means crush but she¡¯s saying something that they always needed something to fumble their hands with .
[2] Cursive Handwriting¡ª the olden fancy shmancy way .
[3] Online shopping, most likely .
[4] Raw: ??? ?? ??? ?? ?? . ? ?? ??? ?? ? ??? ??? ??? ? ? ?? ????? ?? ? ??? ?? ??? ???? . I¡¯m not sure what this actually means so any help would be good .

Chapter 3
Chapter 3- I entered the stepmother¡¯s body (3)
I don¡¯t know. I have Mildred¡¯s memories, but I don¡¯t know if she clearly remembers all that happened in her life. I can¡¯t even remember my life so vividly, even more so others.
I picked up the bread and began to munch on it. I have to do theundry today. In order to live more efficiently in thisrge mansion, unused rooms should be closed and ces that can be used to break in should be barred.
¡°It¡¯s not good for four women to be living alone.¡±
I said and sighed. Also, just in case, I told the children
¡°You guys, don¡¯t go anywhere or if you do, tell me where you¡¯re going. It¡¯s only the four of us in this house.¡±
Iris nodded in understanding; Lily didn¡¯t seem to understand but agreed. And Ashley is¡ª
¡°Why?¡±
She looked as if she didn¡¯t know. Why? Wouldn¡¯t it be dangerous if the news that four women who lived alone in such a big house reached a bad guy¡¯s ears? I wish I could be sarcastic, but I remembered Ashley was just 17 years old and that this was a fairytale.
She was the protagonist of the fairytale. I know, I can¡¯t imagine anything would go wrong with that. Suddenly, I was envious of Ashley. Anyways, she¡¯s going to be rewarded after all these troubles.
I, on the other hand, wouldn¡¯t be. There was no sign that the sun would someday shine on me who was struggling with a meager sry and paying monthly rent and credit cards. Thinking about that made me more tired.
Well, Ashley doesn¡¯t know that she¡¯s going to marry the prince.
¡°There are many reasons¡±
I used a fork to take some sd. It¡¯s a good thing that vegetables are cheap. This world¡¯s diet is great for constipation. Bread and meat are the main food while vegetables are used as decoration or a light garnish.
Thisrge house also had a greenhouse, but it was all ornamental. Furthermore, Mildred wasn¡¯t interested inndscaping or floriculture, so she had no intention of going to it.
I think it was also the same with Fred. When Mildred came into the house, the greenhouse was almost full.
I ate the sd and exined to Ashley why it wasn¡¯t good to tell people that there are only four women living in this house. Lily, although she didn¡¯t quite understand still nodded, opened her mouth and listened to my exnation.
Maybe this is what I have to do.
I thought about Ashely and Lily both making an expression that they learned something new. Mildred wanted to marry Iris and Lily to a man with a good family. Of course, in the fairy tale, I know the story doesn¡¯t go ording to her wishes.
If there is a god in this world, that bastard must have put me in Mildred¡¯s body to save her and her children. But I don¡¯t know what that means for me.
I sighed and picked up the sd bowl I was eating. I remembered that in Mildred¡¯s memory, she doesn¡¯t eat any vegetables at all and that it was only the poor people who ate vegetables.
Well, meat is more delicious.
¡°Eat the sd too¡±
I used the tongs to put some sd on the children¡¯s tes. You have to eat it all. Iris and Lily had a distorted look on their face.
As I secretly nced, Ashley didn¡¯t look so good too.
¡°It¡¯s crispy and delicious.¡±
I thought it would help, but it didn¡¯t. Lily scrunched up her face but stopped when Iris struck her with her elbow.
I hesitated for a moment and then spewed out apelling reason to eat vegetables.
¡°It¡¯s also good for constipation.¡±
Silence reverberated through the dining room. Iris and Lily stared at me with their eyes wide open. Well, it wasn¡¯t good to talk about that in front of food, was it?
But the next moment, Lily started eating the sd. Iris too.
The crisp crunching sound of the vegetable was heard. When I turned around, Ashley was eating the vegetables on the te. What? Did you have constipation too?
I bowed my head grinned. It¡¯s like this. This world¡¯s diet is good for constipation.
After eating, we went upstairs and dusted the furniture, then we went out into the town. White cloth should be ced on the furniture of unused rooms but in order to do that, we would have to put off going to town tomorrow. And because of the invitation to the ball, it was clear that the dress shop and haberdashery would be the ces to go.
Let¡¯s do the urgent things first.
I changed my clothes and left the mansion with the children. We all then proceeded to go down the hill. The mansion was on the outskirts of the capital. There is a horse, but in order for two or more people to ride it, a carriage is needed. And the house didn¡¯t have a carriage.
Mildred used to ask Ashley to drive the carriage if she needed to go out for something. Afterall it¡¯s cheaper than hiring a coachman.
¡°Mother, have you ever been to the town?¡±
Unlike Lily and Ashley, who excited ran forward, Iris stood by and walked next to me. Ashley may be unaware, but it has been a long time since Iris and Lily went to town.
And Mildred¡.
When did she ever go to town?
I was puzzled and searched through Mildred¡¯s memories. I think thest time was before Fred went to travel. Oh my god. So, she¡¯s been cooped up in the mansion for over two years?
Although the mansion was spacious, there were only twenty people who lived there, including the servants. Mildred has a temperament that is undisturbed. But, only a week and there and I was already going crazy.
¡°It¡¯s been a long time¡±
In retrospect, there was no guarantee that Mildred¡¯s temperament wouldn¡¯t be strange. I thought, as I inattentively answered Iris¡¯ words. All I knew was based on the memories taken from Mildred¡¯s perspective. For others, Mildred may be strange enough.
¡°Mother, look!¡±
Lily, who was up ahead, pointed her finger and eximed. I could see the figure of the buildings standing tall at the foot of the hill. As we went further down, we could see the houses surrounding the shopping street.
The castle can be seen in the far distance across the town square. However, the castle can also be seen from our home.
Mildred remembered seeing the castle¡¯s disy of fireworks from their home. I told the children not to get too excited.
¡°Both of you, don¡¯t go running around on your own. Understand?¡±
There wasn¡¯t much time left in the day. Youngdies, no, it was dangerous for teens about to turn into a woman to be going out alone. Ashley and Lily quickened their pace, but Iris was till walking beside me.
¡°Buy now! It¡¯s Cheap! Cheap fish!¡±
¡°Come get these fresh vegetables!¡±
The marketce was in the very center of the town. There were still quite a few people even after lunch. There must be many tourists since this was the capital. Or the people also came her like us to quickly buy some cloths and fabrics for clothes.
I can also see many people like us around. Such as this couple of a girl who looked the same age as Iris with a woman who seemed to be her mother.
Somehow, I felt that Mildred wouldn¡¯t like this present situation very much. She was the wife of a wealthy baron, and had always had people from the clothing storese over to their home. She had only personally gone to the stores on her own, once or twice before her marriage.
But right now, I¡¯m here to get the children¡¯s dresses made, not mine. I thought about that and went to find the children. Iris was next to me, but Lily and Ashley were far away.
¡°Mother, Do you want me to call them?¡±
Iris asked. I stopped and worried for a moment. It would be rather inconvenient for the four of us to be walking at the same time because there were a lot of people. Plus, we still needed to walk a little further to get to the alley where the clothing store and fabric shop was.
I think it would be fine to let them roam free for a little while.
¡°It¡¯ll be alright if it¡¯s just us two.¡±
Hearing my words, Iris had a strange expression on her face. Howe? I looked back at her questioningly, and she asked,
¡°Do you want Ashley and Lily to get along?¡±
What did she mean? I stared nkly at Iris. At the age of neen, she was simr in stature to me. At this rate, she¡¯ll grow taller than me. Should I then take and wear Iris¡¯ clothes?
I poke while moving aside to avoid being run over by the people.
¡°If possible.¡±
¡°Possible¡Is it?¡±
¡°She¡¯s your sister anyway. There¡¯s nothing bad about being friends.¡±
¡°But Ashley¡.¡±
Iris stopped. I looked at her again. What was it this time?
Somehow, Iris seemed to be unhappy that Ashley and Lily are close. What should I do about it¡.I stopped for a bit and waited for Iris¡¯ next words. Then something suddenly came out of nowhere and bumped into me.
¡°Ouch!¡±
In a blink of an eye, I was pushed down. What the hell was that? I was surprised that I couldn¡¯t feel any pain. The next moment, I could hear Iris calling for me.
¡°Mother!¡±
I heard someone running. Oh, wait. I¡¯m feeling a lot of tingles. Don¡¯t tell me I got hit by a car?
It shouldn¡¯t be. There are no cars in this world. I don¡¯t know, maybe it was a carriage. I don¡¯t know if it was a carriage but I¡¯m worried that I might have been crushed by a carriage.
I wondered if I was in a fairytale where there was a madman driving a speeding carriage in this road full of people and screamed in surprise when Iris had caught me.
¡°Ouch!¡±
It hurts. Only then the pain surged into me. As I stumbled down the ground, I had scraped both my legs and palms. Oh, Good Gracious. My hands hurt so much that I couldn¡¯t muster up any strength.
¡°Mother, Are you alright?¡±
Iris didn¡¯t know what to do and tried to help me get up. A lot of people were passing by, so I shouldn¡¯t keep sitting in the middle of this busy road. I knew that but my body wouldn¡¯t move.
Someone passed by me and shouted,
¡°Excuse me!¡±
Excuse me? Did you say excuse me? Are you a dick? The rush of anger dissipated my pain for a moment. I raised my head to find Iris suddenly standing up before me.
¡°You!¡±
Iris was angry on my behalf. She ran, grabbed the man the man who had ran past me and yelled.
¡°If you bump into someone, you should apologize!¡±
¡°Then, Sorry!¡±
¡°Are you kidding me? Was that an apology?¡±
Huh. I was dumbfounded as I watched what was happening. Iris was arguing with someone.
Her personality was no joke. Somehow, I felt very proud. Mildred would have gotten angry at her screaming and arguing with a man because it wasn¡¯tdy-like. But not me, I¡¯m different.
Yes, that¡¯s how it should be. If a polite motherfucker tries to run away, you must chase it and beat that slippery bastard.
I saw Iris holding on to the getting angry man and I gathered some strength. I staggered and tried to get up from sitting.
Then a big hand helped me get up from the ground and said,
¡°I¡¯m sorry.¡±
What did he say? The way he spoke made it more pleasing than the other man¡¯s apology. I suddenly turned my head to look at the man who helped me. A man in histe twenties stood there and supported me in his arms.
¡°Are you all right? I¡¯ll pay for your medical treatment.¡±
What are you talking about, son of a bitch? Besides, you, would pay for the medical treatment? Though I didn¡¯t think I¡¯d take the offer because of that attitude. I did not like his condescending tone. I spoke, trying to get out of the man¡¯s arms.
¡°You, do you know me?¡±
¡°What?¡±
The man¡¯s eyes widened. I spoke again, trying to shake off his hold on me.
¡°I, no. Who are you talking down at? I¡¯m still young.¡±
Strength really matters. Although I struggled with all my might, the man held on to me tight. He looked at me with a flustered expression, as if he didn¡¯t know what to say and quickly released my arm.
He opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something but then closed it and began to stare at me.
Oh, Damn it! I forced my hand to lift up and tilt my clothes. My clothes arepletely messed up. As I fell, not only did my dress get dirty but it had also been caught up in a jagged stone and was ripped.
The underskirt seemed to have also been torn. Otherwise, I don¡¯t think I¡¯d be feeling my knees burn.

Chapter 4
Chapter 4
CL: I really wanted to read this so I attempted doing this . HAHA . I hope you like it . 4
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1 . She''s in the body of her stepmother - 4
"Excuse me," the man said again .
"Excuse me . " He repeated as he looked around .
"Wait over there . There are a lot of people . "
It was supposed to be a persuasion, but it came out more like an order . I breathed a sigh and got out of the way as others pointed out .
You can''t fight screaming in the middle of this crowded road . But I heard Iris very clearly .
"Apologize! Do it properly!"
You''re good . My daughter .
Of course, the man seemed to think thetter . His face grew serious . I was looking at him as if he didn''t know whether to stop Iris or stay with me .
That''s not my problem but yours mister .
"If that''s the case . . . " The man said and turned to me . The light from the sun seemed to have turned his hair from the light color of brown to a hair of gold .
His eyes were dark brown .
But the most striking thing was the man''s appearance . Oh, he was handsome enough to impress me, but I''m too old to talk about a man''s figure . I got through it all quickly .
"Excuse me . "
"Yes?"
The man who was about to say something seemed to have lost track and bit back . I spoke firmly with the dignity of an elder .
"Excuse me . Just leave it as it is . "
"But . "
"But no . It''s just me . "
Iris could handle it . Against my opposition, the man couldn''t leave me and began to stare at Iris and the young boy .
Naturally, Iris was quick topose herself .
She grabbed the hand of the boy and dragged him towards me .
"Apologize! Apologize to my mother!"
"Mother?"
The boy''s expression went strange . I knew what it was . You mean Iris and I don''t look alike at all .
And there was a man who threw a simr reaction next to me .
"Was it a mother, not an older sister?"
"Passed . "
I pped the man next to me on the shoulder and smiled like how a social life works . However, the two men responded that it was ridiculous .
Whether it is or not, I turned my gaze to the young child . He was really a kid . Suddenly entering a thirty-seven-year-old body doesn''t change my taste, but I think he would still be a child in my eyes even before I entered this body .
I wonder if he is about 20 years old . He had brown hair and blue eyes, a bit like Ashley but not exactly the same .
They both looked a little flowery, or rather, in a good way, like rich kids .
Also somehow, he looked like an idol in my original world, which in other words, he''s a handsome boy .
"So, honey, what about the apology?"
I tilted my head and asked . The boy looked unconvinced and looked at the man next to me . But when he didn''t say anything, the boy''s eyes turned to me again .
And the apology?
I urged him with my eyes, and the man beside me made a small noise .
"Khm . "
Only then did the boy bow his head and spoke in a crawling voice .
"I''ve made a big mistake, Lady . Please forgive me with yourpassionate heart . I was disrespectful . "
"What?"
I''m sorry for what I expected waspletely different . I didn''t expect such a full-fledged apology . I was dumbfounded, and Iris looked at the boy as if he were crazy .
She even let go of the boy''s hand and crept towards me .
"If there''s any way topensate for Lady''s damage, I''ll do anything . Like the sky! the sk-!"
Sky? What in the sky? While I was looking up at the sky, the man next to me ran like lightning and grabbed the boy by the cor .
And he smiled at me and said, "I''m genuinely very sorry . I have repented of my wrongdoing . Please forgive me . "
What kind of a gagbination are you guys? Mine and Iris'' eyes were cold . The man put the boy''s cor back and quickly mended his crumpled clothes .
"I''ll make up for the clothes that are ruined . And I suggest you go to my house and rest for a second . . . "
He took the ring off his hand by saying so . It was a pretty big ring . Jewelry? It was obvious that the delicate colors were of superior quality .
Da .
The man handed me the ring and said, "Go to a restaurant on the next street called Fairy Spring, and if you do this, you''ll get whatever you want . Have all you want . "
You want me to get myself something to eat? I looked at the ring in amazement . I think it would be better to sell it .
But the man grabbed the boy''s elbow dragging him away from me as if he had read my mind .
"Oh, selling it is impossible . "
"Why? Is it magical?"
It was sarcastic, but the man burst intoughter as if he had heard a very funny joke . What? Why? What? I looked back at the said ring .
Some sort of symbol was carved . But if I go through Mildred''s memories, it was not exactly a famous family crest .
"That''s weird . "
Iris said and came up to me, she was also looking at the ring . I tilted the ring so that I could see it better .
"Have you seen this symbol before?"
"No . "
Mildred grew up in a noble family and remembered the crests of most families . Among them is a crest that Iris and Lily had taken themselves .
But the ring I am holding now was a crest I have never seen before . I looked at the ring one more time and wore it on my finger, or else I feel like I''ll lose it if I just carry it .
"It''s big . "
Iris threw a word from the side . I''ve worn it in the index finger, as such, I tried putting it on the middle finger but to no avail, the ring was still too big .
Which finger did this man put it on? I had to put the ring on my thumb . This is like putting a stone ring on a baby girl .
Arthur Young, you''re wee .
"Mother!"
Ashley and Lily, who had disappeared, came back looking for me . They were wearing smiles from their personal errands .
Yeah, I''d be d if you guys had fun . I ushered my hands behind my back to cover my bleeding palm .
"Did you find anything interesting?"
"I sold flour in front Yoyo at a low price . "
Ashley said excitedly . But Lily, who opened her mouth the same way, was startled .
Holding my skirt, she asked, "Mother, are you hurt?"
Damn it . I checked the area Lily had caught was torn apart and clicked my tongue . Iris said next to me .
"Some stupid kid pushed her down . "
She and Ashley looked surprise . Then she asked .
"Shall we just go back?"
Oh, right . We came to buy clothes . I checked the proportion of people who seemed to have simr purpose to us among the crowd and threw a line of poetry back into the street .
Then I took a stealthy step . It was okay . It hurts a little, but I can walk .
Moreover, if you look back on Mildred''s memory, many unweddies must attend parties at this time or another . The prince will be charmed and marry Ashley at a ce . Iris and Lily are not in the picture .
This is an opportunity for Iris and Lily . There is no chance of marrying a prince, but they can meet another fine man .
"Let''s go . "
I led the children into a street lined with clothing stores and taverns . Unlike before, Ashley and Lily followed me closely .
"Come on . "
The clothing store was not a ce I knew . When ites to clothes shops where I used to live, there are a lot of pre-made items . Customers go in and look for clothes that match their preferred design and price .
Of course, it is very difficult to match the two .
But the clothing store here was excessively inferior and as of low ss . Thus, already finished dresses was still not a thing .
"Hmm?"
I stopped, embarrassed to see the store full when I and the children entered . There were shelves in each wall, each filled with twinkling cloth . Is this a clothing store or a Neira box? (CL: Unfortunately, I don''t know what she meant by that . The trantion may bepletely wrong)
"Are you looking for anything?"
The man bowed and repeated the question once again . He took a nce at us with a peevish look as if we were an inconvenience . You don''t want to sell it?
"I''m here to see some clothes . "
The manughed at my words, then leaned back on the shelf and sardonically said .
"My house doesn''t sell that kind of stuff . "
The man may look older than me, but talking back to a customer is by no means willing to sell .
I don''t have to buy it if he''s that unwilling to sell . There are many shops other than here . With my head sharply tilted, I asked .
"That kind of stuff?"
"Look at your dress . You''re walking around searching for canceled dresses and you''re hanging around this shop with nothing of the sort . We don''t have time to produce such a thing . Go wander about at the end of this alley . "
I didn''t quite understand what he was trying to say . Nibbling his tongue, the man then said .
"By the way, women these days are so vain . . . . . . . . . "
The children froze at the man''s words . I''m sure they never heard such rudeness before, but I have . I quickly searched Mildred''s memory to find the reason why this man is behaving this way .
Clothes in this world are basically custom-made . When a customer tells a design that he or she wants, the manufacturer first draws the design he or she wants, and then produces it ording to the size of the customer .
It takes quite a while, but there''s nothing off-the-shelf here .
It turns out that the Cindere in the fairy tale would also only wear the dress from the fairy .
I heard it . People who don''t have money buy the fabrics and make it themselves .
Sometimes, you can order in a store and not visit it, because it is made to match the customer''s size . It cannot be sold until you get it .
So, the store often turned over the finished clothes at a cheap price when someone showed up to fit them . To get even a thousand dors .
However, the high-sounding store for nobility is abandoned .
All right, I''m gonnae up with that and I''m gonna go round about it .
"A cheap dye?"
The man asked what I was talking about so I respectfully turned my head and stared at him .
Mildred had a certain look when she despised a person .
I said, trying to look like her the best that I could .
"None of these red fabrics is dyed with an ISO, is it?" (CL: I tried to research what''s an ISO but I just can''t find something that makes sense . I apologize)
The man''s face turned red, as red as the nearest piece of cloth .
"Muh, what are you talking about? It''s your dress that is dyed with an ISO . . . . "+
"Swindler . "
I cut the man''s horse off a single de . Mildred''s dress was never dyed with ISO . She was a wealthy bar and would only dress in good clothing .
The cloth the man had taken out was far from this cow, even in color .
"That''s a cowwood dye . "
The man''s eyes bulged out at my words . It seems to me that I have hit the nail right on the spot .

Chapter 5
1 . She''s in the body of her stepmother - 5
I continued, looking pitifully at the man and the fabric he was holding .
"My brother is Earl Murphy . It''s as the old people say that your manners to stare at the elderly with your head up high is what your father has taught you, isn''t that so?"
At that moment, the man''s face became redder . He made a face like he didn''t know I was of nobility . But it doesn''t matter . I turned my head in displeasure and said to Iris .
"Let''s go, girls . It''s been a long time since I''ve had a drink, over here''s a bit offensive to the eye . "
"Come on, wait . "
The man tried to stop me but he couldn''t . I tried to ignore him and quickly leave, however Iris then opened her mouth .
"I''m sorry, Mother . I was desperate to see it with you . I should have just called someone for a white dress . "
Where''s the white dress? I questioned in my head, but for now I left the store with the children . The man hurried up and shouted .
"Ma, Madam! Madam!"
He followed us a little more after that, but I ignored him and walked forward, until either he finally gave up or his voice became out of earshot .
There are a lot of shops . You don''t have to buy clothes from such a stupid man .
"Mother, you''re great . "
Ashley spoke with wonder . Really? I looked back with a big smile . No, I tried to turn around .
When the long recesses loosened, I began to feel pain . I paused and sighed .
"Mother!"
"Mother, are you alright?"
The children surrounded me with a worried look . I wish I could sit somewhere . I wish my ankle wasn''t dislocated . I looked around the main side to see where I could sit .
But there were only small shops around the narrower road . What did the man who gave the ring say? The Fairy Sam? Is it gone already?
I was standing there trying to make use of the time to rest until the store next to me burst open .
"What''s going on?"
She was a little older than I was . She looked at my face, her eyes widening, then she turned to Iris, Lily, and Ashley . She looked at me again and then came running in surprise .
"Oh, are you alright?"
The woman hurried over and grabbed my skirt . Oh, that''s right . It was torn by the fall . I was so furious that I forced myself to walk that even this I have forgotten .
She took my hand and found the wound, and then she put it back, "Oh, my God . " Then she left me and shouted as she entered the store .
"Come in!"
Iris looked at me with the silent question, ''Shall we go in?'' . I sighed and nodded . Honestly, I wish I could sit down . The wound on my knee hurt like hell .
"This way . "
The store was much smaller than the one we had entered before, and even though there were no shelves of fabric unlike earlier, it was really much smaller because when the four of us had entered, the store already became full .
The woman who hurried into the shop opened a door and began frantically cleaning up the chairs and piles of paper on the table .
"Sit down there! I''ll get some water and towels . "
Then she went out of the room, which was smaller than the store, so I could only enter the room after she left, with only two single chairs and a small table . It was hard to stand when two people sat down .
"Why aren''t you sitting?"
I hesitated to sit down, but then she came back and she put the basin of water and a clean towel on the table and forced me to sit anyway .
Then she grabbed my skirt and asked .
"Let me see . "
The fall was not as serious as I thought, but it was more serious for the children . Iris, who was staring iprehensibly behind her, was startled and groaned .
"If you mix honey with mouse poo, it will heal quickly . "
The woman said as she wiped the wound on my knee . What did she say? Surprised, I asked .
"What do you put on?"
"Honey with rat poo . And if honey is a little expensive, they say it''s okay to just put on rat poop . "
Are you crazy? I would never put any waste on my wounds, but at that moment, Mildred¡¯s memory reminded me that it was really the cure in this world .
You''re crazy, you''re crazy .
I sighed . At thirty-seven, I had three children and two husbands, and now I¡¯m going to put a rat on my wound . 1
Come to think of it, there was something like folk remedies even where I used to live . There is a saying that dog poop can be used as a medicine, so it might have been used like this .
But! Me! I will never put something like that on my body!
"It''s alright . Just wash with clean water . "
I can go home and wash it with soap . I can also disinfect it with alcohol, but I honestly doubt there is pure alcohol in the house .
She nodded in recognition and looked at my skirt and said, ¡°I¡¯m sorry . ¡±
"Your skirt is torn . "
I can''t . I sighed, looking at my skirt like her . Then I looked up and said,
"Oh, thank you for your help . My name is Mildred Barnes . These are my daughters . "
Iris, Lily and Ashley greeted in order . The woman smiled at me and the children .
"It''s Davina . A dressmaker . "
It was a good business . I was wondering what kind of store it was . But shouldn''t the dressmaker have a pile of cloth just like the one I left earlier?
"What''s a dressmaker?"
Ashley asked . Iris was seen making a facial expression, ''Don''t you know that?'' . I immediately answered .
"The people who make clothes are called dressmakers . "
"Oh, clothes . But this shop doesn''t have any cloth?"
When asked by Ashley, Davina stood up and said,
"The cloth is in the other room . Want to see it?"
That''s great . I got up and followed her . Davina said in amazement .
"Why don''t you sit a little longer?"
"I actually fell down when I came to buy clothes . Can I see the design and the fabric?"
Davina''s face lit up . Huh? I was surprised to see how bright it was . She then pped her hands and spoke .
"I see . Who will wear it? Mrs . Barnes? Or one of the children . "
All four of us should wear one . Unmarried children are not allowed to wander around alone . They should be apanied by either married or widowed wives .
It is also the same in the debut at the castle .
I thought about what kind of dresses Mildred had worn before . No, I tried to think about it . But I couldn¡¯t remember what .
Well, I guess it''s the same with not remembering where I used to live or what clothes I have worn in the past .
"First of all, these three kids . "
Let''s think about my dress . It''s not like I''m participating in the debutante . I''m just a protector . Moderate clothes will suffice .
Davina looked back at the children and asked what caught their eye .
"I was invited to a debut party at the castle . "
Davina¡¯s face was thin as she turned to me . Huh? I looked at her, and she said, shaking .
"The, the debutante we wear in the castle? That''s too much!"
"You, aren''t you a dressmaker?"
"That''s right, but, but, a debutante?"
Then she put on a look of surprise again, sat down in front of me and said,
"There are no excuses . I didn''t know you were a noble and for that, I, I beg your forgiveness . "
Oh, right . This is a world where the king rules the country .
Seeing Davina''s attitude, I then realized that there was still a ss here .
My position was rather vague . Mildred was the Earl''s daughter and her brother had taken over the title of house, however, Mildred had married amoner, so she was still a step in the earl ranks .
Iris and Lily are the same . These kids have a baron father .
But not Ashley . Her father was amoner .
I guess it''s because it''s a fairy tale .
I heaved a sigh and bowed down to Davina . It would have been better if I had bended my knee, but I couldn''t due to the pain .
"Get up, Davina . I''m a nobleman, but my husband is amoner . "
"But, ma''am, I heard you were invited to the debutante at the castle . "
The debut party at the castle is like a market where women over 17 and men over 19 gather to announce themselves .
Of course only the nobility are invited and both Iris and Lily are children of nobility .
This is the oil that the stepmother did not take Cindere to the party in the castle . She''s not a nobleman .
But the invitation also marked Ashley¡¯s name . What was this? Mildred''s memories reminded me of the death of her first husband twelve years ago . During that time, Ashley''s biological mother also died .
It was because of the epidemic . Quite a few people died and of course the number of nobles decreased . I guess there aren''t enough unmarried aristocratic women to marry .
Davina was still sitting on her knees before me . It felt little ufortable . I was a modern person, and the world I used to live in was apparently ssless .
It was quite a strange and unpleasant experience that someone could kneel and bow in front of me simply because I was of nobility .
"It''s alright . Get up . "
I forced her to sit down on the chair opposite to me, at the same time, she took a gaze at my daughters and looked ufortable .
"As I said, our debutant will be held at the castle in two months . "
I told her we''d talk about the dresses to divert her attention . This time,I felt Davina turned white as I felt uneasy .
"How, how dare I . . . "
What''s the matter with you? I asked with my head tilted .
"Davina, the four of us are going to the castle . I''m wondering if I''d ask you to provide us the dresses . "
I was wondering if she wanted to go to the castle in exchange, but then she groaned and said, with her face buried in her hands .
"My, my dress . . . In the castle . "
Oh, was that it? Oh, my God . I looked at Iris because I was dumbfounded . But Iris looked as if Davina''s actions were natural .
I looked around the store once again . Certainly smaller than the store I first entered and that store must have had a room like this . That means it is at least twice as small .
She may never have had a chance in making a nobleman''s clothing .
Even if it is the same clothing store, the level varies depending on the customer who trades . To have a fair trade, you have to have asting store, you have to have a certain level of skill, and you have a regr who can introduce you to the nobles .
But I guess this shop has never been in business with a nobleman, and I looked at the wall, which seemed to have not been painted very recently, though it was not old, and said to Davina .
"Davina, I want my daughters to stand out in the castle . If your dress isn''t up to the challenge, We''ll wear another one from another store so that you don''t have to take that burden . "
Davina began to slow her breathing . As I watched the fear and excitement in her eyes slowly subside, I was wondering if I should make a dress in another shop besides this one .
Do I have to ask her to work harder? I wonder . Davina then jumped to her feet and said,
"Do you want to see the fabric samples?"
Yeah . That''s the spirit . +

CL: I wanted to show you guys a page of the novel so I inserted a picture of it in this chapter . It was really really tiresome cause really (¨“©n¨“) I can''t speak Korean . Chapter 6
2. Mrs. Barnes and Mildred - 1
"It''s been a long time, Mrs. Barnes."
Passing through a not-so-spacious garden, through a slightly older door than Mildred''s recollection, the butler who stood in front of me bowed and greeted me.
What was the butler¡¯s name? I fumbled through Mildred''s memory. Alfredo? Sebastian?
"Howard."
Sadly, the butler''s name was Howard, not Alfredo or Sebastian. Hmm. That''s disappointing.
Howard was a much older man, much older than Mildred. To be honest, it''s amazing that he''s still in his present job.
I said with a smile.
"I didn''t know you were still working."
"The master tells me to stop and rest, but I can''t leave the job to a young man."
Who was the next Earl Murphy¡¯s butler? I didn¡¯t remember who Howard was talking about, but I nodded and went in.
The house of Earl Murphy in the capital was where Mildred had been standing every spring until she married Baron Rivera. Originally, Earl Murphy has a manor far from here, the Lord of Valds. Hees up to the capital inte spring, when the social season begins, and then goes down in the fall when the season ends.
(CL: It was like "when the ?? ends" and it was read as Joni or John in English. I searched for a synonym of the Korean word and what came out is the word "Zone/Striking zone" so to make sense, I just changed the word into season just so you guys know haha)
Mildred sometimes met with Earl Murphy and had tea. She was always on par with him. But because Earl Murphy was an elder brother, he could not ignore Mildred.
"Come on, Mil."
Passing through the front door, Sandra, who was standing in the big Hall, found me and held out her hand.
Countess Sandra Murphy, Mildred''s sister-inw. She and Earl Murphy had been engaged to each other since they were young, and they married each other as soon as they turned 17.
She knew Mildred very well. She would always invite Mildred to a small party on Earl Murphy''s Avenue during the social season.
But since Fred went missing two years ago, Mildred has refused all invitations. That should have been the case, but this year, Sandra sent out an invitation.
"Thank you for inviting me, Sandy."
I held Sandra''s hand and smiled. I was quite concerned whether to go or not after receiving the invitation. But eventually, I decided to go, because it was more than two years since Mildred went out to socialize.
Iris and Lily are different, even if they are not very attached to the Prince unlike Ashley. A nobleman''s marriage is hardly a marriage of love. Those parents who know each other, introduce each of their child and make the marriage happen.2
So for Iris and Lily, I needed to be a part of the society first.
"Thank you foring."
Sandra took my hand and hugged me. I felt a little weird. I''m not Mildred, but I have Mildred''s fortune. Sandra was two years older than me, and I became my sister-inw at seventeen, so when Mildred was fifteen, she already used the surname Murphy.
And since she had been engaged to Mildred''s older brother, Gary, they had known each other for a long time.
I then noticed that Sandra''s ''thank you foring'' was not really a thank you. She was still grieving for me, two yearster, for losing a husband.
"Thank you for inviting me too."
I mumbled, hugging Sandra''s shoulder. It''s only been 15 days since I got into Mildred''s body, but I''ve already felt enough weight on my shoulders.
It''s a fun game to watch the real heroines, or to try to change their lives by pretending to be the viin, but I''ve got three kids.3
What if Iris and Lily can''t get married? What if Ashley finally marries the prince and finds it vindictive that Mildred has been treating her like a maid for half a year?
If I''m lucky enough to marry off Iris and Lily, what if they''re just like Fred?
I couldn''t sleep because I have so muchplicated things to think about. I know Iris and Lily love me, but they can''tfort me.
Ironically, however, I wasforted by the fact that sister-inw, who married Mildred''s brother, thought of me.
"Come on in. Gary must be inside. I''ll be there for a little while and go back to introduce you to other people."
Sandra said, breaking away from me with moist eyes. My eyes were slightly red. I stopped and told Sandra that Geoffrey Fred''s body was found.
There was a reason why I came here to talk about the news directly.
After the meal, I can do this before I go home. I nodded and stepped in.
"Mil."
A man a little older than Mildred¡¯s memory came up to me, a man with dark hair and green eyes, like Mildred. I grinned at Gary.
"My brother, it seems you have gained some weight."
"Well."
Gary put a wry face on my words and said,
"I was drainedst year, but I held myself and lived anew."
"You''re a good cook, aren''t you?"
"There''s a new store recently, and it''s very good."
Gary, who is about three times as big as me, stroked his belly and apologized. Sandra was so skinny and tall that it would be a pretty interesting sight to see her stand alongside Gary.
"It must be a famous restaurant."
I asked without much thought. Mildred, unlike with Sandra, was not as close with Gary even though they were brother and sister. By the age of eight, Gary was already taking lessons in session when Mildred was just born, and when she had grown up, Gary left for Academy.
After returning from the Academy, he seemed to have no intention of narrowing the distance with Mildred. It was probably because Mildred was married to another family and their interaction was reduced.
You didn''t think that the men who married your sister would both die.
"It''s famous. You should go out with Sandy sometime. It''s the fairy¡."
"Where?"
I asked the familiar name, turning my head involuntarily. Fairy spring? Isn''t that the ce I heard the other day when I went downtown?
"The name is unique, isn''t it? It''s called the fairy spring and it''s owned by a man named Daniel Walford. He¡¯s still young but his ability of making money is outstanding."
Gary spoke with a slightly smug look. I said nervously.
"A nobleman? And he runs a restaurant himself?"
The nobility does not work directly, they feed on taxes from their own estates. Of course, there are many cases where there is not enough tax and money is insufficient to collect, that''s why there are many cases where money is made in other ways.
However, most of the methods are to invest in trade or to receive artworks by sponsoring artists, andter sell them.
In some cases, people buy buildings and rent buildings like Mildred.
The important thing is, aristocrats are not meant to sweat.
Gary seemed a little flustered by what I stated, and said,
"I don''t think he runs the restaurant himself. You''ll see when you meet him, but he''s a bit unusual."
"I''ll see when I meet him?"
What is this sound? I asked in bewilderment. Gary''s words sounded as if he would introduce me to this Baron Wilford.
And it was a hit, my ears were not wrong. Gary said with a smug look again.
"His rtions are very wide. Did you know that the Queen is his godmother?"
How could I have known. The queen is the Baron''s godmother? I had a surprised look on my face. Then someone said behind me.
"My mother said she and the queen were very close."
Oh mother!
I didn¡¯t know someone wasing. I jumped on the spot and looked at Gary. He looked at the man with a funny expression.
I turned away trying not to wrinkle my brow. Let''s not make an impression. Thirty-seven is the age to start caring about wrinkles.
"The Queen''s your godmother and you''re talking behind a person''s back?"
The man looked as if he knew I''d say so. My eyes then widened when I saw him. Somehow, I recognized his voice. It was a man I definitely knew. Chestnut eyes and a bright brown hair that looks blonde when the light is on. A saucy man with at least one tall, solid body over Mildred.
"It''s a good thing I got the chance to be forgiven forst time."
It was the man I met on the street a few days ago.
He held my hand and leaned.
"Can I kiss you?"
What? I was dumbfounded, so I looked up and slightly creased an eye. Are you crazy? Why should I kiss you? I almost said that out loud without realizing it.
But before that, Gary said,
"You two already knew each other?"
"No."
"Yes."
There was a very different answering out of our mouths, so here we are talking about me and the man holding my hand.
Gary looked at me as if he were right, and the man raised an eyebrow. Damn it. I quickly made an excuse to Gary.
¡°I met him on the street a few days ago. And we got on our separate ways without knowing each other''s names."
"You went out on the street?"
A look of surprise shed over Gary''s face for a moment. He deserves such a response. Mildred didn''t really enjoy going out on the streets.
But he soon fixed his expression and introduced me to the man.
"Mil, this is Baron Walford. Baron Daniel Walford."
It was Daniel. I stared at the man, trying not to make an impression. Come on. Gary then introduced me to the man.
"Baron G.Walford, this is my sister, Mildred. Mildred Barnes. Mr. Barnes, who''s on the other side, disappeared two years ago, and ever since, she hasn''t been in the social circle for a while."
Daniel looked surprised at Gary''s words. He looked at Gary then said, looking at me.
"Mrs. Barnes."
"That¡¯s right, Baron Walford. So could you let go of my hand?"
Even then Daniel held my hand. What are you doing? I questioned in my head as I made an irritated look. He then raised my hand and asked again.
"Can I kiss you?"
Oh, are you crazy? I was about to scream, until I realized that he was asking me if he could kiss the back of my hand. I almost got a hole in my duvet tonight.
(CL: Duvet - a soft quilt filled with down, feathers, or a synthetic fiber, used instead of an upper sheet and nkets.)
I managed to stop the moment when I almost built a great ck history.
"Of course."
Daniel kissed the back of my hand as if he had waited for me to answer stiffly. Warm and soft lips was felt over the gloves.
I felt strange. It''s been a long time since Mildred was treated like this by someone after her husband died.
And I.
It was my first time. I have lived for twenty-seven years, but this is the first time I have ever experienced such a kiss on the back of my hand.
I felt my heart tickle as I felt shame.
Because this is naturally that kind of ce. I pressed my ticklish chest thinking of a fairy tale. The prince kissed the back of Ashley''s hand the first time she danced with the prince in Cindere.
"Please call me Daniel."+
Daniel lifted his lips from my hand and said, in a whisper. I thought of it when I met him on the street, but he was certainly handsome. He wore a light outfitst time. This time around, he''s wearing a suit. And it seemed like the word handsome became an understatement.
I said, pulling my hand out of his hand.
"Please call me Mrs. Barnes, Baron Walford."

2 . Mrs . Barnes and Mildred - 2
Gary left after he found out that me and Daniel had already met once . Sandra was also caught up meeting the other guests who just arrived .
Thanks to you, I was left alone with Daniel . He asked me with his arms out .
"Shall we walk for a while?"
Well, I hesitated for a moment . Should I ask for the medical fee? But the treatment has already been done . I .
So there¡¯s no reason to talk to him . Daniel looks like in histe twenties and is a little older than Iris or Lily . If he wasn¡¯t going to be with Iris or Lily, I¡¯d rather not be too close .
No . You know what? Maybe it''s not a big deal .
Iid my hand on Daniel''s arm, holding a ray of hope . Then he moved his feet and I asked,
"You run a store called Fairy Spring?"
As I said, aristocrats do not work, so it is quite strange to do business . In addition, he''s also caught up in the gossip of working in the aristocratic society . Worst of all, once that was confirmed, he may be driven out of the social circle .
No, if Daniel wasn''t a man, but a woman, he''d already be a socialite .
But Daniel is safe probably because his godmother is the queen .
"Well, it''s not even operational . "
He said, slowly walking down the hall to my stride . It was like the spacious hall was meant for the invited guest to wander, as they hung tapestries or paintings to make sure the guests were not bored with their eyes .
To be honest, I have searched Mildred''s memory, but I don''t know if the painting was still the original or was it already been changed . Daniel stopped in front of a painting and said .
"I was just training a chef to open a restaurant, thinking about introducing food from abroad to this country as well . "
"That''s the operation, right?"
"I have a separate operator . "
Hmm . I nced at Daniel''s face . You can''t just say what you want to say around the corner . To my surprise then, Daniel bowed to me and said indolently .
"If you''re blindfolded, are you going to lie like a cat?" (CL: It was Aungarigo -?????- I couldn''t find any English word for it so I searched for the meaning . Fortunately, somebody asked for its meaning . It was said to be a cat Korean sound that was rted to lying . Daniel might have been asking Mildred about a serious matter . Maybe his situation? Or maybe he was making a corny joke? I''m not really sure . )
That''s correct . I stopped to p him on the shoulder . You can''t do this here . No, not ever again .
It''s kind of sad to be older . When I first met Daniel, I could have allowed myself to be swept by the flow just by forgetting who he was and Mildred¡¯s age . But now I knew where he was standing and this was Mildred¡¯s brother¡¯s house .
I''ll have to be polite .
I said, trying not to show my face as much as possible .
"A little . "
"Are you disappointed?"
Why? I asked with a puzzled look .
"This is the second time we''ve met, and we''ve talked in less than a few minutes . It was just before you and I got to know each other''s names . Why do you think I was disappointed in the Baroness Walford?"
There was a question on Daniel''s face . He stared at me and soon spoke with a knowing look .
"You didn''t go to the fairy spring, did you?"
I couldn''t go because I was out of my mind . Thanks to that ring I still had .
I said jokingly, recalling Daniel''s ring that I put in my room jewelry box .
"Yes . I thought it would be better to sell . "
At that moment, Daniel burst intoughter . What? Why? What? I knew you''dugh, but I didn''t expect you tough so loud . Danielughed and his strength went into his body and his forearm I put my hand on was firm .
Oh, my God . I raised my hand slightly on his arms . Somehow it felt bad to touch his muscles .
"I''m sorry, Ma''am . "
Daniel stoppedughing and said again, pattering . When we looked around, everyone was looking at us . Wondering what the hell I said that made himugh .
I flushed lightly and threw a face .
"I didn''t know it was such a funny joke . "
"Did I not tell you before that it would be difficult to sell?"
"So I asked if it had magic . "
Once again, a smile came to Daniel''s face . No! I said, pinching his forearm before he burst outughing .
"It''s not funny . "
Oops . Daniel''s forearm was so firm that my fingers didn''t fit in at all . Why is this guy so hard?
When I first met him, I recalled his congrattions to me . It urred to me that even then his chest was quite hard .
"You''re telling me, you haven''t sold it yet . "
said Daniel, who managed to stopughing . Yeah, I haven''t even tried . I was busy . In that time, I led the children to clean the mansion and organized the greenhouse and garden .
When the house starts to break, it will break down in an instant .
Then I took out all the clothes I had and put them in order . Ashley may not, but Iris and Lily will be invited to other parties once they attend their debut party .
The dresses was not really up to my liking, so I picked out a dress that I could wear and saw what itcked .
I had to meet Dabina in the spare time to decide on the dress design that was good for the children to wear .
"What would have happened if I had tried to sell it?"
I said a bit aggressively . I don''t intend to sell the ring . Neither would Mildred .
Daniel smiled at me, lifting a corner of his lips . I was surprised . Is he married? Did Gary talk about it earlier?
I tried to recall in my head whether Daniel was single or married . I thought I shouldn''t let my daughters get close to him .
"No, ma''am . "
Daniel¡¯s voice dropped . He spoke very gently and slowly, but it seemed more dangerous, and I felt an urge to take my hand away, but I forced myself to hold it .
I''m older than him and has already married two . I felt like I didn''t want to lose to a younger, less experienced child .
"What then?"
I asked, tilting my head . We were still at rest in front of the painting we had stopped earlier . Daniel, who slowly saw peopleing this way, said as he shifted his steps again .
"If you had tried to sell the ring, I would have known . "
"Is there some magic on the ring?"
Daniel''s face smeared with smiles again . Are you having fun? You having fun by yourself? I said reflexively, smashing Daniel''s arm .
"Don''tugh again . "
"I''m sorry, Mildred . "
"Mrs . Barnes . "
I quickly pointed out his title . Daniel is not a man who has a connection with me . He is too old to be my children¡¯s spouse, so I shouldn¡¯t be more friendly with him than I need to be .
There were many reasons why Mildred went out of society . The biggest reason was that people didn''t like to sympathize with someone who had lost their husbands twice, and the next reason was because Mildred feared that they would take the chance to reach out to her daughters .
Having entered Mildred''s body, I can''t help but think about the future of my three children . And all I know about this Baron Daniel Walford is that he''s a bit of a weird guy .
I was careful not to get too close to him .
He grinned at my point, then lowered his head slightly and said again .
"Madame . "
All right . When I put on a satisfied look, I got a smile on Daniel''s face . I don''t know what this man is all about, smiling so sweetly .
"I didn''t mean to make fun of you . I''m sorry if I offended you . I''m just . "
"Just?"
Daniel''s arm turned behind my back and soon his big hand touched my back . Oh mother . I gasped for breath without even realizing it .
With a strong force, but gentle at the same time . He pushed me to one side . As my body naturally moved towards him, Daniel continued to speak .
"It was fresh that you didn''t know anything about me . "
"You must be a very famous person, aren''t you?"
"Maybe, maybe not . "
I''m saying you''re famous, I''m not . It then dawned on me that we were headed to Earl Murphy''s guest restaurant .
Gary must have told him to go to the restaurant . As a matter of fact, I couldn''t hear the voices of others because I was looking to the person next to me .
Again Daniel extended his elbow to me and I put my hand on it . We walked slowly into the dining room .
Mildred was quickly removed from society by marrying Barnes . I forgot that I was no longer invited to parties like this unless my close friend or rtives like Sandra called me .
I looked at Daniel and asked .
"Excuse me, Baron Walford . How long have you been in the society?"
If a man has reached the age of neen, he is very well already a socialite . Unless if your stepfather has gone missing or has a pitch-less problem like Iris, it can be a littlete .
But Daniel would have made his debut at neen because his godmother was the queen .
Daniel looked at me and grinned . Well, this man seems to know that his smile is a weapon . If it''s not that, I can''tugh like that whenever I myself was pointed out .
"If you''re asking my age, Madame . I''m old enough to escort you . "
¡°It¡¯s enough to make a social debut as an escort, and I can do it if you want to be treated like a twenty-year-old . ¡±
Before I knew it, we arrived at the table . Daniel raised one eyebrow at me and pulled up the chair . And as I sat down on the chair, he said, lightly pushing the chair toward the table .
"If possible, I won''t stop you . "
He sounded a little teasing . If it''s not that, it''s funny . Or both . I looked at him sitting next to me and said,
"You shouldn''t make fun of your elders . "
Anyway, Mildred is thirty-seven . Not younger than Daniel . I picked up the napkin in front of me thinking how old Daniel would be .
On the surface, he looks like he is in histe 20s . However, in the dim memory of Mildred, the story of a man simr to Daniel began to pop into my mind .
After Mildred got married and gave birth to a child, I think I heard that a very handsome man made his debut in society . Of course, what Mildred heard was that he was more handsome than he was .
I don''t think there were many cars back then . Not that much means not over ten years of age .
It has nothing to do with a 10-year-old or a year-old gap for Mildred . No, if it makes a difference of less than ten years of age, it is better to stay away . It just means he''s over 10 years older than Iris .
"Madam, if you know how I treat my elders, you''ll be very surprised . "
Daniel said so, and he picked up the napkin in front of him and spread it out on the thigh of God . My gaze turned to his thigh without knowing .
No, you can''t do this . I feel like a dirty uncle . The annoying guys who want to go to karaoke and dance whenever they see a young female employee everywhere in thepany .
"Thank you very much foring . "
Soon after, Gary began to bow lightly . The total number of participants was 14 with the exception of Gary and Sandra . Four people, including me, came alone, except ten who came in the same ss as the couple .
Ipared the face in Mildred''s memory with the faces in front of my eyes, and I turned my gaze lightly to the men . To my surprise, I and two others were unmarried . ording to Mildred''s memory .
That means Daniel is single too .
---------------------------
CL: Well, obviously girl . Why would he make a move with you if he wasn''t single . Unless he was a jerk but of course he''s not hahahaha . 2
Yah!
dangshin! stop assuming someone''s age Mildred-ssi HAHAHA .

Chapter 8
2 . Mrs . Barnes and Mildred - 3
"Mil . "
After the meal, we were shown to the drawing room . When the servants came in and gave each of the guests the drink they wanted, Gary went towards me .
I was talking with Sandra and I heard the Barnes'' harvest was good this year . I eagerly stammered in Mildred''s memory, on the other hand, Sandra seemed to be uninterested in the topic .
In my memory, the Barnes'' produces thin wheat or corn . And wheat and corn look totally different, this woman .
(CL: I don''t know what she meant in the next paragraph . Maybe she''s cursing Mildred in her memory haha . )
I blew my middle finger at Mildred and turned to Gary, who hade a moment ago . He was holding a drink . I was thinking about drinking, but I didn''t because I did not know if Mildred would get drunk or I''d get drunk .
"I think you''ve be close to Sir Walford . "
At Gary''s words my eyes naturally turned to Daniel . He was talking to other men . Standing next to the firece at a tall height, he was easy to find .
"Somehow . "
I answered lightly . If you say you know each other, you can say yes, but if you''re close, you don''t really know how close . But Gary didn''t seem like he got what I mean . He looked at Sandra and told me again .
"I don''t know if it''s worth it, but I don''t want you to get too close with him . "
What the hell are you talking about? I looked at Gary in amazement . Do you know if Daniel''s a psychopath or something?1
My eyes turned on Daniel again .
I couldn''t see what kind of face he was making because he''s got his back turned back from me . But I could see the man across from him saying something passionately .
"Why? Is he a monster that eats people?"
I was half joking . Well, it''s a long story, and there is a possibility that such monster exist . But I don''t think the monster that eats people is wearing the shell of a handsome man like that . 1
Sandra and Gary looked at each other running into something they shouldn''t . When I tried to get annoyed, Sandra quickly said,
"He who hates him always goes through bad things . "
Huh? I looked at Sandra, making a crease on my brows . What the hell are you talking about? Are you going through something bad?
"You mean Baron Walford''s picking on someone he doesn''t like?"
"He''s not bothering me . "
Gary folded his arms in a way that made him look awkward, they were not folded well, so he forced himself to put his other hand inside his other arm and continued .
"Come on, what should I say? I can only say I''m going through bad things . "
"Is that because of Baron Walford?"
Once again, the eyes of Gary and Sandra met . What? Both of them . . . As soon as I thought about it, I realized that Mildred had the same idea before .
People seemed to think the same no matter the ce .
Augh unknowingly came out . Sandra said as I form a short smile .
"I don''t mean Baron Walford did it . But those who might have had problems with the Baroness Walford have been harmed in some way, so be careful not to get too close . "
"But you invited him, didn''t you? Why did you invite him when he was so dangerous?"
"That one . "
Gary blurted his words and nced at Daniel . When he confirmed that Daniel was not looking at this side, he told me .
"Is a very wide-legged person . He''s a young man . He''s a great businessman . And he''s got a pretty good eye . "
"An eye?"
"He''s very sensitive . "
Sandra stepped in . Oh . Really? I looked back at Daniel with an interested look . There are tons of old stuff in Mildred''s house . There were pictures, furniture and toys .
It''s all a bunch of junk . That''s why Fred bought the house from its former owner . The former owner was a fallen earner . He said he was not able to maintain the castle .
Fred, who wanted to reach out to the nobility, bought the whole thing .
Why don''t I invite Daniel over sometime and ask him to take a look? Such an idea crossed my mind . But at that moment, Gary said .
"And when you get close to him . You''re in trouble . It''s difficult when your eyes gets too high . "
"Gary!"
Sandra criticized it, but I already heard it . I turned my head straight and looked at Mildred''s older brother .
"Tell me again, brother . "
Gary''s face hardened at my words . He forced himself to smile as if he were joking .
"He''s so handsome . Mil, you . He''s still young . Just wait for Barnes . "
So Gary¡¯s saying that Daniel will be worried of me if I see him more than a man who¡¯s been around longer than him because he¡¯s handsome .
They''re all different .
I see he''s worried about Mildred . Earl Murphy can do as much for Mildred, but not enough for the Mildred''s daughters . Besides, my brother, who was only three or seven years old, thought that he could not live alone for the rest of his life .
Maybe he''s trying to save another third husband .
But even with the best intentions, being rude is rude .
I said with a stiff face .
"I can no longer wait for Fred, my brother . I got a call about the discovery of his body . "
"Oh, my God, Mil . "
Sandra took my arm in surprise . She looks thin and rough, but she knows how to handle her people .
"It''s all right . "
I held Sandra''s hand together and said .
"I thought this day woulde someday . "
Mildred had thought that one day Fred woulde back or someone would find his body, and of course she had more desire for Fred toe back . She didn¡¯t want to marry him for the third time, not because she loved him .
"I''m sorry, Mil . "
Gary spoke to me with pity, but I knew he wasn''t really apologizing . Gary, who is a good-natured man, is a rather humble type .
He¡¯d be embarrassed to hear me, but he¡¯d be looking for someone who might be Mildred¡¯s third husband, and he might be wondering how he could find her one and introduce her .
I said, pushing Gary''s hand out .
¡°We¡¯ll see if you''re really sorry . ¡±
Fred¡¯s body was already found, so I¡¯m sure they¡¯ll be ready find me another man to marry . We''ll see how much they can put up .
"Excuse me . "
I stepped back from the cup I had finished by putting it on the cab .
"Mildred . "
I was about to go back when Daniel came up to me . This guy? I said with a re at him .
"Mrs . Barnes . "
There was a funny smile on Daniel''s face . Then, he said with a slight bow as if he were sorry .
"Madame . "
That''s enough . I nodded, and Daniel pressed closely .
"Are you going back?"
In a moment his body came bumping up before my eyes . I took a step back reflexively, because a tall, firm body blocked my view . Fortunately, that was the end . He didn''te as close as much than that . Instead, he put his hand on his waist .
Thanks to this, I was literally out of sight except for Daniel . This guy, he''s big . I realized and looked at him .
I turned on themp, but it wasn¡¯t as bright as the world I used to live in . Daniel''s hair looked dark brown . His eyes were ck .
I said, after opening up a distance that would not be socially med when a widow and a single person were together .
"Yes . I''m going home . "
"How do you go back?"
I''ll have a carriage, if I can afford it, but I can¡¯t afford it, so I came here riding a three-horse car .
I have to go out and catch the trio again . Or Sandra can lend me the wagon .
"Well . "
In my vague reply, a smile shed on Daniel''s face . Why are youughing? When I asked him why, he said quietly .
"Will you grant me the honors to ride with you?"
It was so ssic that it took me a while to understand what it meant . I said with a big smile .
"If you''re saying you''re going to pick me up, yes . Thank you . "
It''s just, Gary''s words annoyed me a little . What? this man is going to make my eyes too high? That''s funny!
Do you think Sandra was married because she was at her level? As anyone can see, Sandra''s marriage to Gary is a waste of Sandra . Still, Gary''s body, which was close to the average before the marriage, began to blow up very quickly soon after the marriage .
"Let''s go . "
Daniel once again extended his elbow to me . Iid my hand on this child''s arm without hesitation . I saw Gary look displeased in the far distance .
I bowed to Gary and Sandra that I had to go now, and then I stepped down . There was a carriage standing in front of the house, as if it had already been contacted .
"What did you do after that?"
Asked Daniel in the carriage . The horseman started moving before I could tell him where I lived . Huh? I don''t have to tell you where I live?
I asked with a small question .
"After that?"
"Before, in the city . You said you didn''t go to my store, did you go straight home?"
He seems to be talking about the fall . I said with a nod .
"No, I went back to see the children''s clothes . "
Then Daniel''s eyes narrowed . He asked disapprovingly .
"You didn''t treat it?"
"I cleaned it up very quickly . "
"Why?"
"Why, what?"
Do you ask me why I didn''t treat it? In front of me, Daniel leaned back against the carriage seat . And he said, with an unpleasant look .
"I''m asking you why you didn''t get treatment . "
You''re not asking at all . I said, in disbelief .
"Are you worried? Or are you ming me?"
Then Daniel''s attitude changed . He straightened himself up and spoke somewhat like a good boy .
"Of course I''m worried . "
It didn''t look like that at all, but let''s say it was . I spoke with my back against the carriage seat as Daniel was doing .
"It was out of my mind . "
"I would have offered to pay for the treatment . "
This is it again . I realized Daniel''s tone was cheeky so I tried to hit him . But this time, his attitude did not change . He was still sitting like a sweet child, staring at me .
Perhaps he was born arrogant . That said, his godmother was the mother of the king . That rum has got to be arrogant as well .
Just look at Dabina''s attitude when she found out I was a nobleman . If you are treated like that from an early age, Daniel''s attitude may be taken for granted .
"It''s not about the cost of the treatment . I was busy cleaning the house . "
Oh, that''s right . When I told him that, I was wondering if he could check the clutter in the house . Now that we''ve paid for the treatment, why don''t we ask him toe over and pick something that''s good for us?
"Then why don''t I take a doctor to visit your room?"
Daniel said . I was wondering how I could ask him to pick something that would be useful without being rude, so I looked up .
"You''reing to see things?"
Oh, no . Not this . +
Daniel tilted his head, appalled at my slip of the tongue .
"What?"
"Oh, no, so, the wound . "
-------------------------
CL: GIRL! HAHAHA I''m also appalled by what you just said . I thought it was a mistrantion for a moment hahahahaha . By the way guys, I''m sorry for not updating these past . . . Several . . . Days haha . I''m just really very busy at school . So anyways, here it is! I hope you like it!

Yes, Daniel nodded . He rubbed his chin and said,
"I promised to pay for your treatment and your dress . I suppose I''ll take a dressmaker as well . When will it be all right?"
People say he is good at business and I think I know why . He was speaking to me as if it were natural, as if he didn¡¯t think I would refuse .
I hesitated for a moment to say no and then came to my senses . Why refuse in the first ce?
It''s not about this guy, but it''s about his life, right? This brte . Iris and I don''t resemble each other, I don''t look like her even though we have a mother-daughter rtionship .
Maybe it''s different if your mom is different, or if your dad is different .
I reckoned Daniel was trying to make up for his brother''s mistake . Then, of course, that is worthy .
"Anytime is fine . "
***
"Lily! Should I discard this paper?"
The next afternoon, I was cleaning up the drawing room and shouted . The paper Lily had been writingst night was flying around the base of the drawing-room .
What did she draw? I raised my eyebrows and Lily ran into the drawing-room .
"No!"
"I told you not to run in the hallway . "
Lily¡¯s face burned in my scolding . She came over to me and grabbed the paper .
"You can''t throw it away . "
"I won''t throw it away even if you run, which, of course, should not be done in the hallway . "
I let go of the paper by saying so . What is this about? I looked at her with curiosity and saw a princess .
Huh? Princess?
It''s not surprising that girls paint princesses . I drew a princess when I was young . It''s because I was still so young back then that I couldn''t believe it .
Lily has alreadye to an age that does not draw princesses . I asked in bewilderment .
"What''s that, what''s that about?"
Surprisingly, Lily''s face turned red . Why are you shy? I asked with a bit of force .
"Did you paint that?"
"No!"
She sounded surprised, and she screamed, without knowing it . Huh . I winced with surprise . Adolescence? Late puberty?
"Oh, no, it''s just . "
Fortunately, Lily''s face also showed a sense of embarrassment . She hesitated and said, showing me the paper .
"We''re discussing what dress to make with Dabina . "
That''s right . A few days ago, Dabina came and got the children''s sizes . And she talked about what design she was going to make .
She brought her own Design book, which was quite heavy, and I was surprised that it was just a collection of designs for the debut .
"Ms . Dabina told me to tell her if there''s a dress I want, but I think it''s better to draw it than to say it . "
Lily said so and stuck out another paper . You drew it yourself? I looked at the paper she gave me and looked at Lily in amazement .
You drew it well .
Very well painted . This is the Dress Lily wants to wear .
"Good drawing . "
I spoke lightly as I handed over the paper . Then something amazing happened .
A look of as if she had been struck in the face formed on Lily''s . What is it? Did I say something I shouldn''t have? Is painting well in this world a curse?
I searched Mildred''s memory in amazement . Shouldn''t you tell someone if they did a good job?
"Well, do you really think so?"
When Lily''s trembling voice came out of her mouth, Mildred''s memory shed into my head . But that was an information I already knew .
Mildred did not like Lily painting . It''s a very expensive hobby, but that was not exactly the reason .
Because she didn''t think it was a good hobby for ady . It''s okay to y music, read books, or y tricks . Because it doesn''t get dirty .
Writing or painting as well is not ady''s hobby . Not to mention, gardening . The reason is simple . Your hands and clothes get dirty .
Hmm . I stared at Lily as if I was waiting for the rope toe down from the climbing tree . I think differently from Mildred . Lily draws really well .
And I think it is a good hobby as long as it is not about cost .
But can I really say that to Lily?
Mildred stopped her from painting for her .
There is a prejudice that women who write, paint, or gardening cannot marry in an aristocratic society . And in this world, it is possible for noble women to have a fortune from those, but it is difficult path to be situated in .
If you are a rich heiress, women like Lily should marry a wealthy man, if you are not wealthy, at least you are a man who can feed Lily . That would also be fine .
And Mildred was afraid Lily wouldn''t get married .
"I think you draw well . "
I said with a sigh . But Mildred''s idea is right . Art was an expensive hobby even in the world where I used to live . Many were born poor, daughter, and gave up art .
Then, someone knocked on my door .
"Oops!"
I turned my head toward the hallway in surprise . There was a reason for this rush . We were supposed to have a visitor .
Last night, I said to Daniel, who took me from Gary''s house, "Come any time . " And he said he''de the next day, so today .
"Lily! Put it away here! Quick!"
I left the drawing room with Lily and ran out on the aisle . I heard Lily talking from behind .
"Mother, you told me not to run .
I know, man, you can''t run .
But I can''t help running . I''m in trouble . I was busy cooking in the morning because I couldn''t send him away without at least feeding him anything and I was . . .
Of course the cooking is cooking well in the oven . I left this oven to Iris because there was no fire control or timer .
And Ashley . . . .
I crossed the hall to open the door and found Ashley still cleaning the floor of the hall and approached her .
Hey, it''s lunchtime when I asked you to clean this ce up . You can''t clean the hall for three hours!
I''d like to shake Ashley''s shoulder if I could, but I don''t have time for that . I said, fishing for a rag mop with Ashley on it .
"Stop and put it away . "
"But, Mother, I haven''t finished . . . ¡ . "
Oh, that¡¯s frustrating . I put the rod back in Ashley¡¯s hand and said,
"The guests are here . Put this away and go change your clothes . Got it?"
What the hell did she do to clean up? Ashley had ck spots on her face and clothes . And I swear there''s no stove in the hall of this house .
I only approached the door after I checked that Ashley went in with a mop and a bucket of water . And I organized my clothes .
"Wee . "
When I opened the door, I saw Daniel standing in a creaky way . With one hand on his back, he remained expressionless and straightened his posture when the door opened .
Oops . . .
I felt a little strange . It''s not because he was standing well . It was because Daniel''s expressionless face brightened the moment he saw me . It was as if I had seen the stage before the curtain went up .
"Come on in . "
I checked Daniel and the people standing behind him and opened the door wide, And he led them to the drawing room where we ran hard earlier .
Lily cleaned it up, didn''t she? I hope so .
"Wee . "
Fortunately, the drawing room was clean . Lily was also waiting for us empty-handed . The clump of paper she was holding seemed to have already been removed .
Thank God . I felt a little relieved and offered a seat to the guests . Daniel brought in a total of three people . There were two women who looked like a dressmaker and one man who looked like a doctor .
I''m not against it .
"Thank you foring . "
Iris then came in with a cart . I introduced my daughters quickly .
"Iris Barnes and Lily Barnes . There''s a youngest one named Ashley Barnes . "
Then, I heard Ashley running from somewhere . Maybe I should write it down in the hallway .
It''s like some high school .
"This is Ashley Barnes . "
I introduced Ashley as soon as she entered the drawing room . Ashley''s appearance was disheveled by the change of clothes and the rush .
But she''s so beautiful . She''s still pretty .
"I''m sorry I''mte . "
"It''s okay, but don''t run in the hallway . "
Daniel chuckled andughed . Yeah, you''re funny . Daniel opened his mouth when I ignored him and arranged Ashley''s hair and clothes .
"This is Dr . Hampton . And this is the white dress . . . ¡ . "
"White dress?"
Iris gave a shrill shriek . Huh? I looked at her in amazement and found that Lily and Ashley had the same intense look on .
Luckily Daniel had a surprised look on his face with me . Together with the doctor .
The women from the white dress looked natural in Iris''s response . Is the white dress famous? I threw a warning look at Iris and asked Lily in a whisper .
"Is it from a famous ce?"
"Of course! It''s the queen''s exclusive dressing room . "
It''s a great ce . My eyes were all on Niel again . You''re going to make me clothes in such a tremendous ce? Daniel seems to have a lot of money, a lot .
"The white dress . It''s great . "
After seeing the doctor, the dress room staff took my measurements and went back, I advised Daniel to eat as scheduled . And he came into the restaurant as if he knew I''d rmend it .
The children were the cause of the disease throughout the meal . A white dress .
"It must be a very famous ce, isn''t it?"
I asked while eating roasted chicken . Daniel picked up a ss of wine and spoke with a modest hand .
"It''s a nice ce . "
"It''s not just a nice ce! That white dress!"
It was Lily who was excited . And Ashley . Iris managed to contain her feelings, feeling envious of the excitement she saw in front of the staff of the first white dress .
That white dress? I looked at Daniel with an interesting look . Come to think of it, Lily said, the queen''s exclusive wardrobe .
And it was only a week ago that I told the owner of the first costume shop that Iris had asked me to listen .
"Not to that extent . "
Daniel grinned and said to Lily, then turned his eyes to me . Then he took a sip of wine and said,
"It''s a good ce . "
"I heard it''s the queen''s exclusive wardrobe room . "
"I make the Queen''s dresses . "
He said, I''ve brought him here, but I didn''t know . Slowly, it was starting to get confusing whether the man was really modest or showing off his skills with high caliber .
The white dress was certainly a piece of good work, andpared to Dabina, I showed him the design catalog before I asked for the design I wanted .
And I went back the next day, saying I''de back with a cloth that would suit me . It means that out of the many pieces of cloth, you can look at me directly and make me what I want .
I guess that''s how you''ll be the queen''s consort . Daniel opened his mouth when I sighed .
"More importantly, how''s the wound? The doctor said it won''t be a problem, is it hard to walk?"
"Yes . "
I answered reflexively and looked at Daniel . He looked ufortable talking about the white dress .
Is he just modest?
"After a week, I''ll be fine . The doctor said no scar would be left . "
He even gave me a ster . Put it on in the morning and in the evening . I don''t know what they''re made of, but I''m afraid I can''t use them .
Daniel''s eyes have eased off . He tilted his head and smiled .
"That''s a relief . "+
