"Are you sure this will work?" Aletta bit her lower lips nervously as she stood behind Daisy.
Currently, Daisy was kneeling on the cold tiles, seven candles were arranged together to form a circular shape which surrounded a sigil on the floor. Only after she had finished lighting up the last candle, did Daisy finally reply.
"I hope so. This is my first time doing this as well"
She paused before releasing a sigh.
".. However this is our only choice. Jason is yet to wake up and you just can''t take him to the hospital and tell the doctor he fell unconscious because he was battling a Wraith right?"
"Calm your nerves sister" Stephen approached his worried looking sister, softly squeezing her finger.
"Jason has been in a coma for a whole week. As much as I would love to take him to a hospital, I am afraid this isn''t a natural case. It''s a supernatural one and as such supernatural measures has to be taken to heal him"
Humming softly, Daisy grabbed a bread knife, slicing it against her thumb.
Splurt!
Red blood flowed out, dripping onto the sigil on the floor. Seeing this, Daisy grabbed the spell tome as she began chanting.
"Rep meniugnas te rep murref. Em los te Anul rutnetset, Oge munu rotset; Andrea Saxtonus suie sinimon suitret, te Warlock Nolanus Coven, Cis Meicaf maut sednetso!!"
Boom!
The flames on the wick of the seven candles exploded into a brilliant light that threatened to extend all the way to the rest of the study and burn down the whole building structure. At the same time, the sigil on the floor began to slowly rotate in an anti clockwise manner. As it rotated, it began to give out a yellow glow, same went for Daisy''s eyes.
Boom!!
A yellow pillars suddenly shot out from the sigil on the floor. The pillar of light was so eye blinding that the three teenagers were forced to shield their eyes. When the light finally cleared, there was a new addition in the study room.
It was a lady who seemed to be in her late twenties. She sported pink colored hair that was currently covered by a white towel. Judging from the water sliding down the night robes she was wearing, it was obvious she had just come out from the bathroom.
"Who dares summon me?!" the Summoned Warlock seethed angrily as she attempted to step out from the sigil she was standing on, only to encounter an invisible barrier that stopped her from advancing.
"What were you going to do about it? kill us to satisfy your rage? tsk. tsk. Not happening today " Aletta smirked as she observed the female Warlock.
"You rude child. Let me out now!" it was only thanks to Aletta''s response that she discovered she wasn''t the only person in the study room. This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.
"First, you would have to promise not to hurt us and as well help us " Daisy refuted.
"Fine. I promise!"
"Heh. And you think we are just going to take your words for that? rumors has it that you Witches are the most dishonest folks in the world. There''s no way we are going to trust the integrity of your words " Stephen sneered with mockery.
"Fine. I swear by my Patron to not bring any harm to you children and help you if it is within my capabilities. Happy now?" the Warlock swore solemnly.
"Better " Stephen nodded in satisfaction.
Although Witches were dishonest folks, their Patron Empryeans were people of worship to them. If a Witch swore by the name of their Patron and went against that oath, they would forever be shunned by that Patron.. that meant losing their connection to magic.
A Witch who couldn''t do magic? that was a situation worse than death to Witches.
Holding the Spell Tome close to her chest, Daisy''s eyes glowed yellow again as she chanted.
"Ettimid!"
A soft sound of shackles breaking resounded as the Warlock finally stepped out from the the sigil on the floor. The first thing she did was send a hateful glare towards Daisy''s way.
"You brat. Count yourself lucky that I didn''t bring my Wand along or you''d be rolling on the ground in excruciating pain!" she spat hatefully.
"Tsk. Tsk. Keep on shooting threats, however we know you can''t do anything to us, unless you want to suffer the wrath of your Patron. So why don''t you just shut up and listen to what we have to say huh?"
The Warlock fell silent upon hearing these words. Witches were essentially regular humans who managed to forge a connection with other worldly dimensional beings known as Empryeans, granting them the ability to channel the energy the world knew as magic. However this made them completely at the mercy of their Patron Empryean. For a Witch to suffer the wrath of their Patron meant one thing; To be Shunned!
"Fine. What do you want from me?"
Aletta sighed in relief when she saw the other party tactfully express their cooperation. Although the Warlock couldn''t harm them in the current circumstance, it would be very stupid to offend an existence such as a Warlock!
Following Aletta''s lead, the Warlock was led through a wide corridor in the house. Along the way, the Warlock gave Daisy a look before speaking.
"How did you know the spell to summon me?"
"My grandma did. Before she died, she told me that you owed her a favor" Daisy replied with a shrug.
"That''s strange. I don''t recall ever owing a Human any favor " the Warlock mused.
"Her grandmother was a Wiccan, you meanie " Aletta snorted in Daisy''s defense.
The group finally arrived at a door that lead to a dimly lit room. The only source of light were seven blood red candles that surrounded a mattress. On the mattress was the unconscious body of Jason.
"Can you heal him?" Aletta gave the Warlock a deep look.
"Hmmm " the Warlock curved her red lips as her eyes roamed over the blood red candles. Although others couldn''t see it, these blood red candles were strategically placed to form an invisible barrier pulsating with an energy that wasn''t from the mortal plane.
"You casted a Soul Barrier. Although it''s crudely casted, it is barely enough to contain his soul from dispersing "
"Tch. Tell us something we don''t know already " green veins appeared on Aletta''s forehead.
"I can sense that his soul experienced serious damage and is slowly decaying. Just what the hell happened to him? this is a serious damage on the soul " the Warlock squinted her brows.
"Can you heal him? yes or no?" now, even Stephen was beginning to grow impatient.
"Why of course. However I would need to retrieve my wand. This young man''s soul experienced serious damage. If your crude Witch didn''t react quickly to cast a Soul Barrier around him, I am afraid his soul would''ve already dispersed. However this Soul Barrier was crudely casted and I can spot some holes within it. Give it a day or two and this young man soul would be completely dispersed "
Aletta nervously flicked off the drop of cold sweat rolling down her forehead.
As a Mystique Hunter, she knew what a soul dispersing meant.. and it was very terrible!
The Warlock curled her lips when she saw the expression of worry on the Trio. She continued, while hiding her smirk..
"However I am a powerful Warlock. Although the state of this young man is critical, I will be able to fix him up in no time. However it would require a sizeable amount of magic.. so, I need to retrieve my wand "
