    Sure enough, this system notification was the first thing he saw. Groaning dryly, Aiden noticed he was laying on a bed in an unfamiliar room. He tried rising up, only to discover that apart from the looming hunger pang, every fibre in his body hurt like hell!

    Aiden was taken aback by the sudden sharp increase. He swiftly consumed a hundred blood drachmas, causing his stock to reduce all the way to three hundred.


    However even after he did this, it took about twenty minutes for his fuzzy vision to go back to normal, same went for the pain..


    However when Aiden tried recalling what happened after he was attacked by that Kingsguard chasing him, the searing headache resurfaced. It was like there was a barrier in his mind. The more he tried pushing past it, the more pain he inflicted on his psyche.


    After realizing this, he decided to forget about it. He could just ask Marie about it. But first he had to figure out where he was.


    "Don''t tell me we got captured?"


    "No. That''s not right. I kidnapped their queen. I should be locked in a dungeon" although the chamber he was in wasn''t extravagant, it''s living condition was okay.


    Aiden had just stood up on his feet when the door opened up, revealing Red Rose as she walked in, with a napkin, immersed inside a bowl of cold water.

    "Huh?" thanks to her words, Aiden finally noticed that there were others present in the hall.


    Apart from familiar faces like Oge, Rin, Prince Eragon and the two retired Kingsguards, there were other unfamiliar faces.


    For example, Aiden spotted seven Silver Generals, three Azure Generals and three elderly Winged Panda Men race members.


    "What''s going on?" Aiden gave Rin a look.


    "They all all the forces still loyal to Prince Eragon. Those three Elders were once his father''s advisors and they still possess some level of influence within the city" Rin explained.
