Chapter 2: The Being From [;.,)(^^#~] Bestows A Gift

Lorida, Husk, and Valina gazed upon their surroundings and watched the surrounding floating marble islands/chunks suspended in the air but refusing to do their usual bobbing as if they were floating on water.

"What gives? Is the domain buffering because of the monster being in a safe zone again?" Lorida complained aloud as Nano and Nai reformed next to her.

"I do not believe so," Nano stated while pointing at the baseball-sized ball of light floating around Husk. The group watched the ball of light flutter away from Husk and to the other side of the picnic blanket away from the group.

The ball of light flickered before the physical space around it contorted around the light orb giving the illusion of a short girl in her teenaged years with scruffy hair. The girl flicked its head upwards, and two large horns made from azure blue crystal aether popped out on the sides of its head, and a fur-looking cloak made from contorted physical space appeared around it. The teen girl made from contorted physical space crossed its arms, looked away and huffed disapprovingly.

"Rude... one was in the middle of something... but you just had to point one out," the girl made of contorted space whined with a bratty girl voice while the faint choir of thousands of different voices repeated its words. Lorida lent over to Husk as the girl continued to whine.

"Say..., didn''t Zalroth mention something about a being made from bent space?" Lorida whispered to Husk, with Husk telling her not to whisper about someone in front of her.

"Greetings manifestation of The Concept of...; I apologise. I do not believe my imparted memories from Lord Zalroth depict you in any of them," Nano stated with a polite tone while bowing a knee to the being.

"It''s fine one has only ever met Chronia so it''s to be expected," the girl made of contorted space stated before placing a hand on its chest.

"You may refer to one as Evona: The Concept of Re-Formation," Evona stated. Evona placed its fists on its hips before sighing.

"Alright, one''s going to put this as simple as possible as the events one shall bestow the knowledge relating to the upcoming event... ... ... why aren''t we allowed to talk normally to people?" Evola said as its words devolved into muttering as it ruffled its scruffy hair.

"The creature you battled was a Primordial; they are creatures that cause disruptions to any reality that hasn''t been modified to resist their influence, but luckily for this one, you dealt with the primordial before it could do any significant damage to your reality," Evona stated. The group listened quietly to Evona as she talked before a thought entered Lorida''s mind.

"Does that mean you''ll have to do some modifications to our... reality since another one of those monsters might appear?" Lorida asked worriedly.

"Indeed, as the Concept of Re-Formantion, it is one''s duty to re...structure worlds to be resilient for any external threats, like maintaining the God Incarnates," Evona stated, leaving the group aside from Nano and Nai in shock.

"You... made the original Heavenly Heroes?" Husk asked. Evona shook her head.Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road.

"One stated they do broad maintenance for the world and its protectors, but the one who originally creates them would be Ela, The Concept of Creativity," Evona clarified.

"Damn... does that mean we''re getting rebooted like those old TV shows?" Nai asked jokingly.

"Seeing as you lot dealt with the Primordial in one''s stead, one shall reward you with the retention of your memories along with the current God Incarnates, alternate reality versions of the original God Incarnates, and Deva. Before you ask no the alternate version of the original God Incarnate you''re thinking of won''t know any of you through their own memories," Evona stated, causing Lorida, Valina, and Nai to disapointedly sigh. Evona looked at the group until they seemed to get over the initial shock of the revelation.

"Before I begin the rebooting, do any of you have any questions?" Evona asked calmly. The group thought it over before they shook their heads.

"Good," Evona stated before its horns began to glow. The horn''s light exploded and blinded the group as it engulfed the world before at the snap of Evona''s fingers everything went black.

Nano felt an unusual spine-chilling chill course through his body. The sensation was foreign and even alien to the sentient magic sand construct given the lack of his own ego, despite the irony he, himself, acknowledges.

"This is... a bizarre feeling. Unit cannot say it would recommend keeping it," Nano stated to himself before he felt a concentration of the cold sensation press against the top of his back.

Nano (now had the appearance of a twenty-year-old) lazily opened his eyes and he realized he was lying on a bed in a bedroom. He blinked and rubbed his eyes as his blurred vision cleared up allowing him to get a better view of the room. Nano took in his surroundings and finally registered that the reason for the room being dark was simply due to it being the middle of the night.

"Unit was certain it was mid-day when Lord Lorida closed Delver''s Springs," Nano muttered mentally. Nano peered around the well/regal furnished room one last time and noticed the empty bed on the opposite side of the room. Nano raised an eyebrow before he felt something cold moving on his back. Nano peered backwards to see Nai sleeping on his back and underneath his shirt.

"So, that''s why unit''s back is cold...," Nano mumbled. Nano pushed himself up off the bed, causing the sleeping Nai, with only two arms, and the bedsheet to slide down his back. Nai flopped on top of the scrunched-up bedsheet while remaining in their deep sleep. Nano looked back at Nai before he raised a hand to his face.

Nano stared at his hand before making the tops of his fingers into condensed pale banana-yellow magic sand. He clenched his hand and bursted into a magic sand cloud causing Nai to slide down the crumpled bedsheet hill to fill the space Nano left. Nano reformed his body next to the bed and looked at his palms as he repeatedly opened and closed them.

"It appears the Concept of Re-Formation did more that allow this unit to retain its memories... although not a one-to-one recreation.". Nano looked at his reflection and his glowing pale golden eyes with thick white horizontal line-shaped pupils while he lightly squeezed his palm.

"So, life-like...," Nano commented as he squeezed his palm one last time. Nano looked around the room and strolled over to the two suitcases by the bedroom door. Nano visually inspected the suitcases while pondering his situation. Nano raised a hand to the suitcases but immediately collapsed to his knee before slamming a hand on his forehead as a strong pain pierced through his brain.

Nano struggled to keep one of his eyes half open as a glitchy effect overcame his vision while a collage of years worth of new memories entered his mind. Nano heavily breathed in and out as sweat ran down his face. Nano wiped the sweat off his forehead and rose to his feet.

"To think receiving memories always comes with mental anguish.". Nano strolled to the centre of the room and raised his hand into the air. He concentrated his magic sand around his hand before constructing The Dance of War (his hand fan longsword weapon). Nano lowered his hand and stared at The Dance of War. Nano nodded before getting into a fighting stance before doing some practice swings.
