After Theodore got out of the car, he saw a young man lying on the ground. The man''s bag had fallen to the ground, and he was clutching his leg and groaning in pain.
Theodore immediately walked up and asked, "Are you alright? Can you stand?"
The person on the ground turned to look at Theodore.
When Theodore saw his face, he was shocked. He had seen this person before.
This was Yerick, a friend of Rosalie''s. He had met Yerick at the hospital when Sebastian was hurt. Rosalie had stayed at the hospital as well to take care of Sebastian.
Why was Yerick here?
Yerick, seeing Theodore, seemed to recognize him as well. "Oh, it''s you?"
Yerick was grimacing, appearing to be in great pain. "It hurts. My whole body hurts. It feels like my bones are broken."
Theodore hadn''t expected to run into Yerick here, let alone hit him with his car.
"Can you stand? I''ll take you to the hospital," Theodore offered.
Aurora, who was still sitting in the passenger seat, looked through the windshield and saw Theodore helping a man to his feet. The man seemed to have been hurt.
She quickly unbuckled her seatbelt, got out of the car, and walked over. "How is he? Is he okay?"
She was worried that Theodore might be held responsible if the man was seriously injured.
Yerick''s face was pale, and he was sweating from the pain. When he saw Aurora, he looked puzzled. "Who''s she?"
"That''s none of your business. Get in the car. I''ll take you to the hospital," Theodore said.
Regardless of whose fault it was, he had hit Yerick, and it seemed like Yerick was injured. He couldn''t just leave him here; he had to take him to the hospital.
Theodore helped Yerick into the back seat, then closed the door and turned to Aurora. "I''m sorry, Miss Payne."
He took out his wallet and pulled out some cash, then handed it to her. "You can take a cab home. I have to take Yerick to the hospital."
Aurora felt a wave of disappointment. "Alright, but I don''t need your money. I have my own."Text ? by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
She pushed his hand away. "I don''t want your money."
Seeing her insist, Theodore put the cash back in his wallet.
"Take care of him, then. I''ll head back now," Aurora said, turning to leave.
However, after just a couple of steps, she clutched her chest. She seemed to be suffering some difort.
Theodore stepped forward. "Are you feeling unwell again?"
Aurora replied, "I''m fine, just a bit tired."
Seeing her tooking so pale and weak, Theodore was slightly worried. She wasn''t in good health and wasn''t fit for traveling around. If anything happened to her on the way back, he would be responsible for it.
He had asked her toe and help, so he should at least take her home himself and ensure she got there safely.
"How about this? Get in the car and I''ll take you home."
Aurora was delighted to hear this, but thinking of the person in the back seat, she hesitated. "But you need to send that guy to the hospital first."
From the back seat came Yerick''s pained moans. Theodore turned to nce at him, brow furrowing.
"Miss Payne, if you don''t mind, I''ll
take him to the hospital first, then drive you home. Please get in the car. You''ve not feeling well. If anything happens to you on the way back it''ll be my responsibility need to make sure you get home safely."
Aurora was secretly pleased but nodded. "Alright, I''ll get in."
She didn''t want to worry Theodore.
After they reached an agreement, Aurora sat back in the passenger seat and fastened her seatbelt.
From the back seat, Yerick continued to groan. "The pain is unbearable! It feels like you''ve crushed all my organs."
Theodore hadn''t started the car yet
but he turned to look at the man in the back seat and said coldly, "Stop acting. Rose isn''t here, so your little performance is pointless."
