Theodore brought Aurora back to their residence and gently ced her on the bed. "Aurora, how are you feeling?"
"Theo, I''m sorry. I was wrong."
Theodore was taken aback. He had expected Aurora to confront him, but instead, she apologized the moment they got back.
"Theo, I shouldn''t have followed you. I was just... I was just too worried. I didn''t expect to see you having dinner with her. I acted rashly, and for that, I''m truly sorry. Did I interrupt your meal? I shouldn''t have done that."
Theodore sighed deeply. "Aurora, I did have dinner with her. In fact, over the past few months, I''ve had dinner with her many times."
Aurora bit her lip, her tears falling like raindrops. She would have preferred Theodore to lie to her, but he spoke with such blunt honesty that it hurt
even more.
"What''s going on between you two? Theo, are you nning to leave me? If I had known this would happen, I''d have rather not gone through with the surgery. I might as well have died," Aurora said.
Theodore opened his mouth to speak, but before he could say anything, his phone rang.
He took it out and nced at the screen. It was a message from Rosalie.
His heart leaped, and he quickly opened it. But when he read the message, his excitement faded.
[I''ve already bought a ne ticket for tomorrow morning. I''ll be returning to the country. Aurora can apany you for the surgery. I hope you''re happy with her.]
Theodore sighed and set his phone aside. "Aurora, I won''t have dinner with her anymore."
"Really?" Aurora asked with a hoarse voice. "Don''t lie to me! I can''t handle being deceived."
"Yes. I''m not lying to you." Theodore held her hand. "Let''s return to the country in a couple of days."
Aurora nodded. "Alright, let''s go back."
Rosalie finally returned to Blencalgo. Breathing in the familiar air, she felt a surge of emotion.
Sebastian had sent a car to pick her е up. He was extremely busy that day and couldn''te by himself, so he asked her to wait for him at home.

Rosalie didn''t care whether Sebastian came to pick her up or not. She headed straight to where Steve was.
Once home, Rosalie immediately scooped Steve into her arms. Three months had passed, and Steve had grown so much. He was now seven months old.
In Rosalie''s arms, Steve''s gaze was distant. He stared nkly at the person in front of him, unsure of who she was.
"Steve, it''s me! I''m your mommy. I''m

Suddenly, a thought crossed Rosalie''s mind. "Steve, Mommy is going to take you away right now. We''re not staying here anymore."
She tried to leave with Steve in her arms, but he suddenly started crying.
Rosalie panicked. "Steve, what''s wrong? Don''t cry. I won''t hurt you. Mommy will take you away from here."

The more Rosalie tried to soothe him, the harder he cried. "What''s wrong, Steve? I''m sorry. It''s my fault

for being gone so long! I''m so sorry."
Not knowing what else to do, Rosalie could only pace back and forth, holding the baby tightly in her arms.
"Steve, Mommy''s taking you away now. Don''t worry, Mommy will take good care of you."
As she reached the door, ready to leave with Steve in her arms, Sebastian appeared. From a distance, he could already hear the baby crying.
"Rose, you''re back!" He was overjoyed. After three months of not seeing her, he had missed her terribly.
He reached out to embrace Rosalie, but she stepped back.
