Marion clenched his fist. He knew the feeling all too well. Trying to quit was harder than death itself. He couldn''t bear to see Debra in such pain, but he had to stay strong. "Marion. Look at me. Can you bear to see me in such pain? Marion..." Debra''s mind was a mess, and her desperate desire to escape the pain had taken over her rationality. Marion''s heart was in turmoil.
Just then, Andrew entered the room with the doctors, who rushed to Debra''s side and tried to restrain her on the bed.
"Marion!" Debra cried out in horror.
Marion growled, "Step aside."
The doctors exchanged nces, hesitating.
Marion repeated, "I said, step aside."
"Listen to him," Andrew ordered, and the doctors backed away.
Seeing how scared Debra was, Marion patted her back and soothed her. "Have a sleep. It''ll be okay. And I''m sorry."
With those words, he struck her on the back of the neck, knocking her unconscious. Debra slumped into his arms. "Debra..." Erica ran out of the room, unable to bear the sight.
Randy quickly followed behind her.
Marion dropped a kiss on Debra''s forehead and carefully ced her on the bed.
Andrew turned to the doctors and said, "Administer the antagonist."
They stepped forward to carry out the order, but Marion held out his hand. "Give me the injector."
He saw Andrew''s frown and insisted, "No one knows this better than I do. Give me the injector."
The doctors looked at Andrew for confirmation, and he finally nodded. They handed the injector to Marion, whoexpertly inserted the needle into Debra''s vein.
After it was done, he said to Andrew, "Come with me."
Andrew followed him out of the room without a word. In the dimly lit hallway, Marion''s expression was cold and stern. "Was this Drake''s doing?"
"Yes."
"If I hadn''t found out, were you nning to keep it from me forever?"
"It was Debra''s wish. She didn''t want you to do anything rash."
"Rash? I''ll show you what being rash looks like."
Marion clenched his fists and strode away.
Barton asked tentatively, "Sir, are we just going to let Mr. Houston go like this? Shouldn''t we stop him?"
"No one can stop him when ites to Debra, Andrew said quietly. "Have someone guard Debra around the clock. Don''t let anything happen to her again."
Late at night, the streets were filled with the roar of engines. The guards at Drake''s house quickly realized something was wrong, but before they could react, a dozen cars had pulled up outside.
"Quick! Notify Mr. Lowe!" a guard shouted.
But soon, he was knocked to the ground. Chaos ensued.
Marion stepped out of the car and raised his hand. His men quickly set up roadblocks, sealing off the streets. This belongs ? N?velDra/ma.Org.
