    Jace red at her for a moment, then turned and left.


    "Ms. Amaryllis, are you all right?!"


    Her subordinates rushed forward to help her.


    "You useless thing! Why didn''t you stop him when he attacked me?!" rice shouted, her fury erupting as she looked at the blood dripping on the snow.


    The subordinate trembled and said, "J-Jace was too fast. Who doesn''t know about his skills? No one could have stopped him!"


    "Something was wrong with Jace tonight..." rice looked at Jace''s tall and cold back.


    She muttered, "I must report this to the Boss immediately!"


    Back in his car, Jace gripped the steering wheel tightly but he did not start the engine.


    He closed his eyes, and a suffocating sensation swept over him like he was drowning. He felt as if he were drifting in the ocean.


    Then, a searing pain split through his head.


    His temples throbbed as though they were about to burst, and he felt like he was losing control of his limb.


    Jace panted heavily, his trembling hand clutching the ne around his chest. Inside it was the medicine that could save his life.


    Whenever he took the medicine, his emotions would stabilize, and all his pain would vanish. Grinding his teeth, Jace ripped the ne from his neck and hurled it out the car window. At that moment, his headache curiously subsided.


    A faint, unfamiliar sense of freedom washed over him as though he broke free from his shackles.


    It was 5:00 a.m. and the sky was still dark.


    The entrance of Pivotage was surrounded by a convoy of ck cars.


    Be and Justin stepped out of the car. Just then, a chilly gust of wind blew by Be, causing her to shiver uncontrobly.


    Justin recalled how much Be disliked the cold. During winter, she would snuggle up to him to stay warm and grasp his hand like a personal radiator whenever they went out.


    "Be," Justin suddenly called out.


    She turned and felt something heavy on her shoulders. It was his coat.


    Justin stared into her eyes and said, "It''s cold. Wear this."


    Be felt an ache in her chest. She hurriedly tried to take it off. "It''s fine."


    "Keep it on. You dislike the cold." Justin pressed hisrge hand firmly on her shoulder.


    Her throat tightened. "You remember?"


    He pressed his lips together but remained silent. Without another word, he walked toward Ryan, who was approaching them.


    Be stood frozen, her eyes red, gripping thepels of his coat tightly.


    "Hasn''t Pivotage been sealed off? Why would Yvonnee here in the middle of the night?" Ryan frowned.


    Out of breath, Ian rushed over and reported, "Mr. Salvador! We''ve located Ms. Smith''s car parked nearby!"


    Justin said, "She was probably here to investigate something. After all, she lived here for a long time. Apart from Christopher, she knows Pivotage better than anyone else."


    "Drew is already on his way to Savrow!"


    Be walked over and scanned the ominous surroundings anxiously. "Search the area around Pivotage first. If Yvonne ran into trouble here, there would definitely be clues left behind!"


    Justin met her gaze and nodded.


    Ryan waved to his team. "Didn''t you hear Ms. Thompson? Search every inch! Whoever finds a clue will be rewarded!"
