To think that Nash knew who General Landon was, Zeke wondered just what kind of person his grandson-inw was.
The car came to a stop outside City Hall. A soldier in uniform, armed and vignt, quickly approached them to collect their information. Once their identities were confirmed, the soldier guided the car into the parking lot and then escorted the three through security. During the security check, Nash encountered a familiar face, Kaden Copper.
"Nash, do you know who that old man is?" Zeke whispered nervously.
Nash nodded. "I do, he''s one of the founding generals, Kaden Copper!"
"Shh... Keep your voice down. We can''t just call General Copper by his name. He''s one of our country''s founding generals, one of the only two remaining!" Zeke was so frightened his face was pale.
Nash just smiled but did not argue back.
Kaden, who had just passed the security check, walked to the elevator while being led by two female secretaries.
Just as Nash and hispanions passed the security check, a female secretary with a cold expression on her face quickly approached them. "You''re from the Mare family, yes?" she asked, her eyes carrying a hint of disdain.
Zeke forced a smile and replied, "Yes, I just returned from out of town. May I ask why the governor wants to see me?"
"You''ll find out when you meet the governor," the female secretary replied indifferently.
Zeke''s nerves were tense as he followed the female secretary closely. Nash and James followed suit, with James being particrly nervous as t was his first time at City Hall.
Nash, however, was asposed as ever. He looked around the ce in a rxed manner and soon spotted Tristan among the bustling politicians. Being a martial artist, Tristan instantly sensed Nash''s gaze. He turned his head and nodded with a smile in acknowledgment.
Nash politely returned the smile and then followed the governor''s secretary into the elevator.
City Hall wasprised of 28 floors, with the 19th floor serving as the central hub where the
highest-ranking leaders from various government departments worked. Dressed in a uniform, Kaden looked spirited as he stepped out of the elevator.
Multiple political heavyweights were gathered by the elevator, including Cobalt Petro, the chief inspector of Capiton, Colby Petro, the governor of Capiton, and Drew Landon, the
governor-general of Capitone"
Tristan emerged from another elevator, cutting into the weing crowd apologetically while saying, "Sorry I''mte!" Kaden smiled kindly and said, "I just came to see a few of my students. There''s no need for such a grand reception."
General Landon had organized the meeting, and while he initially did not n to attend, he changed his mind upon hearing that Nash would be here. He immediately booked a flight and rushed over.
It had probably been two years since Kaden came to Capiton. He was curious to see how his favored students had been doing. Cobalt and Tristan greeted their mentor.
Kaden chuckled and replied, "I was in a rush and didn''t bring any gifts. I hope you don''t mind."
Tristan smiled wryly. "Mentor, in what world does the mentor give the students gifts?"
Kaden roared withughter. "It''s about reciprocity, isn''t it? You visit me often and bring me plenty of gifts!"All text ? N?velD(r)a''ma.Org.
Cobalt could not help but retort, "You say that, but every time we bring gifts, they end up being returned!"
"At least I see your sincerity!" Kadenughed heartily. He had been feeling much better after Nash cured him of his illness. "Drew boy, you rascal. You actually became the governor-general of Capiton!"
