Late at night, Alfius staggered drunkenly toward the swordsman association, dragging the burly man along with him.


    "Alfius! Thanks so much for today, haha!"


    "I-It''s alright. I-I have to thank you as well."


    "No need to spend so much time thanking each other. Next time, your treat! How about that?"


    "Haha, alright."


    The two slowly staggered and made their way forth.


    Suddenly, a me appeared from where the swordsman association stood. Alfius had a look of terror on his face as he looked at where the swordsman association was.


    "W-What''s going on?!"


    Upon finishing his sentence, he abandoned the burly man and dashed toward the swordsman association.


    "W-What''s going on?!"


    By the time Alfius made it to the entrance of the swordsman association, his heart shattered into pieces at the scene before him. His master and the people who had trained alongside him had all suffered a painful death inside the building. Alfius ignored the mes and dashed toward his master.


    "Master, what happened?!" Alfius asked panickedly when he saw his master''s wrecked body.


    "Are you... Alfius?" his master asked as he wheezed.


    "It''s me! It''s me! What on earth happened?! I''ll go get a doctor right now!"


    "No, it''s pointless. I''m beyond saving," Alfius'' master said weakly.


    "The demon sword... has been stolen..."


    "Demon sword? Rain of the Vige? Who was it? Who did it?"


    "Morin..."


    "Morin? T-That''s impossible!" Alfius shouted in a panic.


    Morin was his master''s eldest disciple, and he was an extremely kind and humble man. Even his


    master had once said that Morin would never have an unkind word to say no matter who was appointed the next president of the swordsman association since he had never been fond ofpeting for fame and fortune.


    Most of the time, he was just quietly practicing his swordsmanship. Yet now, he was told that Morin was the one who murdered his master and martial brothers?


    "It''s him..." Alfius'' master drew hisst breath afterpleting that sentence.


    "Master? Master! H-Hang in there. I-I''ll be right back."


    A sword that twinkled coldly shed across Alfius'' face.


    He was being attacked!


    Thankfully, Alfius ducked instinctively and avoided being struck in one of his vital points.


    Alfius looked fearfully at the individual standing before him, who was dressed in ck and had his face covered as well. They were holding the Rain of the Vige in their hands.  en


    "Morin, it''s you?!"


    The individual dressed in ck did not hesitate as they swung their sword toward Alfius once again.


    Alfius'' reactions were still slow,


    perhaps because he was still slightly


    tipsy. Another reason for his

    sluggishness might be because he was in shock from the turn of


    events. All he could do now was


    draw his sword out and defend


    himself. He had no capacity to strike.


    Just as the individual in ck was about to kill Alfius, the burly man suddenly raced forth with both his swords drawn and helped Alfius escape from danger. "Little man, are you alright?"


    "I... I''m alright..."


    Then, the individual dressed in ck drew his sword once more and dashed toward the burly man.


    With a sh of his sword, the burly man managed tond a hit.


    Despite the sword finding its mark on the individual dressed in ck, their body somehow turned into a piece of wood before they materialized in front of the entrance.


    "The ck Ninja Association? What do you guys want?" the burly man asked as he raised his swords high.


    The individual dressed in ck spoke in a voice that made it impossible to decipher whether it belonged to a man or a woman.


    "What are we doing? What are you doing here, Great Swordsman?"


    "Tsk, I''m the one asking the questions!"
