Chapter 241

Mathew smiled. "Do you want the ''open for business'' sign to be hung on the door?" Ss was like a newly minted general. He raised his voice and said haughtily, "Yes."

Matthew grinned at Ss'' overreaction. He went up to the door and stuck the sign on it. Ss slowly sat down and began writing something. He seemed to gain confidence as he saw his loopy, yet elegant lettering.

But when he looked at the door, he looked nervous as if a wolf were about to rush in. Matthew was affected by his anxiety too. They sat together in silence.

An hour passed, but no one needed a doctor. Soon, two hours had passed. Still, no one wasing in. On the contrary, their neighboring business owners snuck nces into their shop, curious to know who the clinic owners were. Sometimeter, a few people in white coats stood at the hospital entrance and pointed at the clinic, discussing something.

Matthew looked at the badges on theirpels and learned that they were health officials from Medicare Hospital. He couldn''t hear what they were saying.

He couldn''t be bothered. As long as they didn''te in causing trouble, it was fine. Ss, however, looked at them nervously. He grew anxious, tapping his pen on the table.

Matthew was a little annoyed. Just as he was about to stand up, an old woman rushed in with a child in her arms.

When she saw Ss, she sobbed and said, "Please look at him, doctor. His arm hurts really badly and he can''t lift it at all."

The child was crying hard. His voice had turned hoarse.

Ss stood up and smiled, saying, "Would you like some candy, boy? I have some here with me. They''re really tasty."

As he said that, he gave the child a piece of candy. The child used his left hand to take it. However, he was unable to unwrap the candy wrapper.

Ss held up the child''s right arm and put it on the candy, smiling as he said, "You can only unwrap it with both of your hands."

When the old woman saw that, she yelled, "Don''t touch that arm! It hurts him really badly!" Then, she saw her grandson unwrapping the candy with both of his hands.

She said in shock, "What happened? His arm hurt so much that he couldn''t even move it before. Why is it all better now?"

Ss smiled and said, "It was just dislocated. I popped it right back. Don''t worry anymore, alright? Take him home." The woman was even more surprised. She moved her grandson''s arm and asked him if it hurt. He shook his head. "It doesn''t hurt. His candy tastes good. It''s sweet, like an orange."

The woman was overjoyed. She took out a hundred-dor bill and handed it to Ss. "Thank you so much, doctor. I only have 100 dors with

me get my son to bring you more money if it isn''t enough."

Ss gave it back. "I don''t need the money. It took little to no effort at all. Just take the child home."novelbin

The woman said agitatedly, "That won''t do. You can''t refuse my money. I went to the hospital and they wanted X-rays done. They also wanted to do a whole bunch of other procedures that would cost about 800 dors.

"My old phone can''t be used to pay. I only had a hundred dors on me, so I had no choice but to go home.

"The 800 dors didn''t even include the actual treatment. It was only the cost of screening. You healed him, so you can''t refuse my money." Ss began ushering her out. "He didn''t need medicine or any sort of injection. Why would I take your money? Just go home."

The woman felt incredibly grateful to him when she saw that he was adamant about not being paid.

"Thank you, doctor. You''re a true doctor. The people in the hospital are bandits. Just the screenings would cost me nearly a thousand dors.

"My entire family and all my friends wille here to have their illnesses cured in the future."

When the health officials heard that, their faces grew as ck as thunder. They red at Ss.

Ss smiled and got her to leave. "No one wishes for themselves to be sick. You''re still in good shape. You managed to carry the child without so much as breaking a sweat. You''re very healthy. Go home."

She thanked him again, and the child thanked him too. Then, they left.

Ss went back to the shop and said to Matthew, "The trouble is here."

Matthew looked at the door. The health officials from Medicare Hospital were walking toward the clinic.
