Matthew held the baseball bat firmly. As his leg muscles tensed up, he sprang off the ground with a powerful momentum.
The concrete floor cracked with a spider web pattern. He dashed toward the group of ten or so burly men like a gust of wind.
The baseball bat hit one of the burly men''s legs, and the sound of his bone snapping sent shivers down everyone''s spine. Then, the sound of bones breaking rang out in quick session.
One after another, the burly men dropped to the floor, holding their broken legs in agony. As they writhed and screamed, it was irking and unbearable like the scraping of nails on a chalkboard.
Matthew walked up to Derek beforeing to a halt. Behind him were the anguished howls of Derek''s men, which were as tragic as hell.
Watching this scene unfold, Derek was so terrified that his face turned pale. "Do you know who these guys work for? How dare you hurt them? Do you realize what''s going to happen?"
Matthew swung the baseball bat hard and smashed it against Derek''s leg. With a snap, the bat shattered into two pieces on impact.
Derek''s thigh bent at a 45-degree angle. He immediately hunched over and copsed to the ground.
Holding his right leg, Derek shouted in agony, "It hurts so much! You''ve lost your mind... We''re with the Brotherhood. If you mess with us, you''ll regret it."
Matthew coldly grunted. "I''ll make you regret this in a heartbeat first."
Right after that, Matthew booted Derek right in the face and then pulled his foot back.
With blood pouring out of his mouth, Derek had several of his teeth caught in his throat, making him cough violently.
Matthew raised his leg and pressed his foot against Derek''s chest, putting some pressure on it. Feeling the tightness in his chest, Derek thought that his rib cage was about to break.
Terrified, he quickly pleaded, "I was wrong. Please don''t hurt me. I swear I won''t cause you any more trouble."
Matthew lifted his foot. "Scram!"
Derek scrambled to his feet. Ignoring the rest of his men, he darted to his car and drove off like he was running for his life.
The other men were left behind. With broken legs, they writhed in pain on the ground, and their cries made everyone''s skin crawl.
Feeling relieved the trouble was taken care of, Zachary gleefully remarked, "Thank goodness you''re back, or I might have ended up with a broken leg."
Matthew responded, "No problem. We''re at the entrance of Wealthwave Group, and these folks are blocking the view. Get some people to clear them out." Zachary acted like ackey as he replied, "Okay. I''ll go call someone right away."
Jennifer watched the entire scene
unfold. She was startled when she saw Matthew take down two men. She also started to feel terrified
when she saw him defeat five more men.
At this point, it finally dawned on her that Matthew couldn''t care less about how Rachel viewed him.
Later, Matthew dropped all those burly men, and they wailed in agony with broken legs. Upon seeing that, she felt her legs go weak and started trembling.
Warm liquid seeped through her pants, soaking it wet. Jennifer was kicking herself for her mistake. She had already gotten it wrong in the beginning, and she shouldn''t have tried to extort money from Matthew.
Given how brutal Matthew was, trying to hustle him for money definitely spelled disaster.
Jennifer freaked out as she scrambled to get away, but her legs felt like they weren''t hers and wouldn''t listen to her at all.
After running for about a few feet, she tripped and fell at least five times, leaving her all bruised up.
Matthew watched as Zachary was
getting the security to clean the
mess. When he turned to look for Jennifer, he noticed she had bolted away for quite some distance.
So, he yelled, "Stop right there!"
