Chapter 66. Adoption
After Rei''s stun in the training grounds, a rumour spread about theyoung boyin the king''s castle who could devour abilities. Theknight''s started to fear this boy as they knew that in the future, no holy knight could go against him.
Meliodason the other hand was showing Rei around the ce as he told him about his intentions.
"Rei, I want to adopt you will that be ok?"Meliodasasked looking at Rei who was in deep thought.
''Hmm, adopted byMeliodas...Could be fun.''Rei though before turning toMeliodas.
"Un Un." He nodded enthusiastically.
"Kishishishishi, then call me papa."
Meliodas grinned seeing Rei''s face of slight disbelief.
''Why the fuck do you want to make me call you papa?'' Rei though bbergasted.Meliodaswanted him, a 130,000 mental aged adult, to call him papa like a child. It was already unbearable acting like a kid already andMeliodaswas making it harder for him.
"What? Don''t want to? I guess I can''tadoptyou then."Meliodasmade a pained face and sighed.

Rei though about it and decided that All demon/god yer magic was a mouthful so he nodded.
"Now then, what shall we call it...."Meliodassaid closing his eyes as he though.
"All eater? Devour? Element Eater?"Meliodassaid as he continued to think.
"How about Gluttony?" Hendrickson said.
"Ohhhwhat do you think Reichan?"Meliodasasked looking back down at Rei.
''Gluttony huh, I guess it fitsquitewell why not.'' Rei though before nodding.
"Gluney!Gluney!" He called out as he tried to pronounce Gluttony.
''FUCK!!!'' He cursed in his mind at the same time because of the fact that he can''t pronounce shitright now.
"Hahahahait would seem like Rei here likes it." Dreyfus said seeing Rei try to say Gluttony. However, he had put Rei on his kill list mentally as this power could be detrimental for themandments in the future if it means that Rei could also eat demon magic.
"Now then I''m going to take Rei around the training area to show him some swords y."Meliodassaid as he bid Dreyfus and Hendrickson goodbye.
Making sure that they were not being spied onMeliodaslooked at Rei.
"You understand me don''t you."Meliodassaid serious.
Rei nodded asMeliodaswas his best guaranteeright now.
"Good that makes it easier. You know thatyour ademon don''t you."
Rei nodded once more telling the truth so it doesn''t getplicated in the future.
"Do you want to help me fight against the 10mandments in the future? In case you''re wondering, the 10mandments are theelitewarriors that the demon king himself chooses and grants amandment which isa portion ofhis power."Meliodasexined to Rei as he could tell that Rei wasn''t sent by the demon king due to the fact that with his level of demon bloodline. If hewas sentthrough, the seal by the goddess n would have already rejected him from entering.
"Un.Fhai(fight)." Rei said ignoring the fact that he messed upthe pronunciation offight.
"Hehee~" Meliodas smiled as he knew how much of a help Rei would be against the 10mandments.
"Well let''s go to Merlin shall we?" Meliodas said as he walked towards Merlin''s tower.
"We have already found everyone that will be in the 7 sins group, now we just need to gather them all."Meliodassaid while he walked.
"We''ll be visiting immortal Ban after we see Merlin."
Soon, they reached the tower and saw Merlin working on a spell.
"Yo!"Meliodasgreeted.
"Oh?Captain, Rei."Merlingreeted back pausing her experiments.
"What brings you herecaptain?" She asked looking at the duo.
"I''m including Rei into our group to fight the 10mandments." He said as he ced Reiontothe table.
"Is that so? Hmm anyreason why? Even if he could eat energy it may have a limit we don''t know and with monsters like the 10mandments, we don''t know what could happen." Merlin said as she looked at Rei who was staring at the seals in the room with great curiosity. He crawled closer to the seals as he studied them and tried to decode some of them.
"Hm?" Merlin andMeliodaswatched Rei as he studied the seals.
Soon Rei understood that the seal was ment to freeze time with in this space for a short period allowing Merlin to pause he experiments at anytime and for it to not bedetrimental.
Picking up a spare test tube, Rei held it in his hands as he started to work on the seal. He worked as he ignored Merlin and Meliodas who was watching in curiosity. What Rei didn''t realise was that he was no longer as powerful as before and he can''t do whatever he pleases anymore.
A highly detailed sealwas drawnout as Reithrewthe tube upwards and activated the seal. Rei looked at the seal which drained a lot of magic power from him. The tube floated for a slight moment before showing signs of moving once more causing Rei to frown.
''Infinity...'' Rei though as he tried to use Merlin''s magic which drained even more from him causing him to stumble and the test tube fell towards him.
Just before it hit, Merlin had stopped the test tube with her own magic and looked at the tired Reiying on her desk.
"Reichan, you understand seals?" She asked looking at Rei.
Rei nodded as he panted heavily from magic overuse.
"Captain, how about I teach Rei everything I know on seals and magic?" Merlin suggested toMeliodas.
"Eto...That would be helpful. Because I suppose in our group, Rei would be my son while you are his god mother I guess."Meliodassaid as he walked around theb.
"Hou~ So I''m Reichan''sgod mother. I guess I should teach him more then." Merlin said picking up Rei and held him close.
Rei couldn''tbe botherfrom how their treating him as he was to tired to even move.
"Let''s go see Ban now."Meliodassaid as theymadetheir way to the prison cells.
''I wonder what''ll happen if they knew I was also immortal like Ban?'' Rei though as he soon sawMeliodaswalking into a cell.
Rei began to think about seals more deeply from what hehad sawin Merlin''sb. Seals when done right, are able toutiliseall types of elements in the world. From creation to destruction even time and space. Rei though about how he could use the seals to help himprehend concepts of time.

Ban suddenly shot out of the tower as dust rose high into the air.
"AAAAAHHHHHH!!!" Rei suddenly screamed as hewas pulledout from his focus. The sound was extra loud to him as his ear''s were still being developed so it was super sensitive.
Merlin shook Rei around a little to try calm him down while Rei cursed in his mind.
''Jesus Christ woman!I''ma 130,000 mentally aged man and you shake me around like a child!!''
Soon the dust died down showing Banying down on the floor from defeat. Meliodas soon walked out of the cell looking at Ban.
"Hahahahaha, interesting...Hey! Let''s fight again!" Ban shouted toMeliodasas he sat up.
"Sure, but onthe condition ofyou joining the 7 deadly sins."Meliodassaid as he walked in front of Ban.
"Sure seems fun!" Ban said takingMeliodas'' hand and stood up.
"Right so I''m the captain, over there is Merlin and the kid is my adopted son Rei." Meliodasintroduced as he walked over to Merlin and Rei.
"Hou~ you adopted a son?" Ban said looking atMeliodas'' height.
"Woman problems?" Ban said with a shit eating grin causingMeliodasto punch Ban in the face and through another wall in the area.
