Chapter 19: A Fruitful Day

Chapter 19: A Fruitful Day ? ?

Xin grabbed the menu and didn''t shy away from Michael''s offer. He was not one to refuse blessings when it was given.

He decided to order takeouts. One that he hadn''t tried yet. And, of course, he didn''t forget to order his mother and Xiaxia''s favorite.

Omakase Sushi: Chef''s choice of the freshest and most premium cuts of fish served over seasoned rice. Wagyu Beef. Uni (Sea Urchin) Sashimi: Delicate and creamy sea urchin roe, a prized delicacy.

Tempura. Chirashi Bowl: A bowl of sushi rice topped with an assortment of sashimi and other seafood delicacies. Sukiyaki: Thinly sliced beef cooked in a sweet soy-based broth with vegetables and tofu.

Kaiseki. Fugu (Pufferfish). And Unagi (Eel) Kabayaki: Grilled eel zed with a sweet soy-based sauce.

Looks like dinner was served, as well as their food for tomorrow. Xin thought.

He also ordered Udon Noodles for Meilyn. It was her favorite to the point that they made Friday their Udon day.

Xin was nning to visit her house after this and had a good talk with her.

She would surely be surprised. Xin thought and got excited at the prospect of seeing her again. He wondered what her reaction would be like.

Maybe she would think of him as a ghost and freak out.

"That would be hrious," Xin uttered.

While waiting for his takeouts, Xin could finally ess his phone. The power bank had charged it at fifty percent enough to open it. And it was time to check . . . the map.

He wanted to know where he was and where his previous address was because Meilyn''s house was in the same neighborhood as their previous house.

Xin paused when he suddenly thought of something.

Right . . . he also had to download Guildbane''s app.

While the app was downloading, he took a moment to assess the distance between his current location and their previous house. He was surprised to discover that it would take around thirty minutes by bus, with the potential for longer travel times during peak traffic hours.

"I guess I have to take the Exia Bus going to Zone A''s Area 44 . . . ," Xin muttered. There was a Bus stop near where he was, so that would make things easy.

Xin found himself in an unfamiliar part of Zone A, Area 0. He rarely ventured into this area, as it was known to be frequented by the incredibly wealthy who came here for shopping and fine dining.

Currently, the world was divided into different Zones and Areas, each catering to a specific socioeconomic group.

Areas 0 to 20 were where the upper ss predominantly resided, with luxurious private estates and big corporations dotting thendscape.

Areas 21 to 50 were home to the middle ss, with a mix of residential areas and bustling businesses driving the local economy.

Beyond Area 50y the lower-ss areas, where the poor and small business owners often lived. These ces were more remote, requiring one to four hours of travel time to reach the city. Agriculture and factories were prevalent in these areas, and many residents worked in these fields.

Xin''s previous house was located in Area 44, while his current residence was situated in Area 77. To travel from his current house to Area 44, it would take approximately two hours by bus or one hour by train.

It was shorter to take the bus here to Area 44.

After he calcted the distance and the hours of travel he would take, Xin looked at the time. It was just one in the afternoon. He had enough time to visit Meilyn and chat with her.

After that was done, Xin finally checked his Guildbane ount. When he did, he froze.

Something was clearly wrong with his ount. Xin checked again and again, but it was undeniably his own ount.

"Lord Schrodinger," he muttered, confirming that everything appeared the same as when he hadst logged out.

However, there was one significant difference — he now had an additional 71,000,000 gil in his ount.

This didn''t make sense. Xin thought. Was his gil bugged or glitched in some way?

Upon closer inspection, he realized that it was all rted to the Auction. To his surprise, the items he had obtained for free and listed for sale were sold for exorbitant prices, totaling millions of gil.

Xin couldn''t help but be astounded. He had severely underestimated the value of these rare items and the potential earnings they could generate in the Auction.

With a mix of excitement and skepticism, Xin decided to explore the app''s features and see if he could indeed convert his newfound gil into real money. The thought of having $71,000 in his hands was almost too good to be true.

As he navigated through the app, he realized that it required him to input his bank ount information. Since he didn''t have a bank ount yet, he entered his E-cash ount instead.

E-cash was a popr digital online banking app that allowed users to make payments and transactions conveniently. It had be widely used for purchasing goods and services, offering a hassle-free alternative to physical money. Additionally, it offered various perks and credit points for frequent users.

Almost everyone has an E-cash ount, and it has be amon way of managing finances in the digital age.

Xin would just apply for a bank ountter on so he could withdraw huge amounts of money from his E-cash if he wanted to.

The transfer waspleted after he paid the transaction fee. Xin quickly checked his E-cash and found the $71 000 sitting there.

He couldn''t believe it at first. How could he have this kind of money by just ying the game for two hours?

This was definitely bugged, and Xin was more motivated than ever to get the NPCs to [Intimate] with him and acquire their rare items if this was the potential money he would earn.

His brain did a quick thinking of what to do with the money, and the first thing he thought was to buy a Headgear so he could have more time in Guildbane.

The rest . . . he would give it to his mother to pay off the debt . . . or maybe use it as a down payment to buy back the house?

Xin was sure that Michael Fey wasn''t in a rush to get his money back, so the debt with him was the lowest priority right now.

There were also the lending corporations that his mother had taken a loan for his medical fees, so he would have to pay that off too.

Xin''s eyes shone for the first time. A goal was forming in his mind.

Xiaxia was right –– the game was addicting as long as money was involved.
