[Due to the effects of the Constitution Refinement Elixir, you have gained 3 points of Might.]

[Due to the effects of the Constitution Refinement Elixir, your current species has slightly improved.]

Reading through the notifications he''d received with a look of expectation, Valyr soon nodded in satisfaction as he finally understood what Mystia and the item''s description meant in regards to stat distribution.

Considering how both his DEX and INT stat were leagues aheadpared to his other stats, it made sense that the elixir prioritized improving all of the other stats, taking on a simr logic once it began to tackle his hidden stats.

''Though the increase is not as substantial when Ipare it to the True Rebirth Pill I consumed back then, the stat gains are around twice what I got from consuming the concoctions Faulus gave us back in the inheritance,'' thought the young man to himself. Closing his screen after that, he then looked at Mystia with a faint expression of betrayal. "Remind me next time to not trust in your words again."

In response, Mystia shed a bitter smile back at him. "I can''t really do much about that. Almost every elixir and pill that has miraculous effects like the one you just consumed tend toe with pain during the absorption process."

"Think of it as equivalent exchange to the great amount of stats you''re getting," continued Mystia as she retracted the iridescent energy she''d released earlier.

"Then again, if I didn''t wrap you in a cocoon of Mystic Energy earlier, you would probably be unconscious right now."

"...All the more reason for me to learn how to wield Mystic Energy, then," said Valyr in response, briefly shuddering as he recalled the intense level of pain he''d briefly experienced just earlier.

"Well, I''m d that you''re eager to learn more about Mystic Energy," said Mystia with a smile, returning back to her chair.

"However, let''s postpone that to sometimeter. For now, since you''ve epted my request of bing the Mystic ne''s Guardian, I suppose it''s right to tell you the information I''ve been withholding from you earlier."

Hearing those words, Valyr went through all of the conversations the two had so far before eventually recalling the one Mystia was talking about.

"So, what''s the reason?" asked Valyr as he nodded at her words. "Why haven''t you appointed a Legend or a Myth to take up the position of Guardian?"

As this question left his mouth once more, the young man soon came up with a follow-up question. "Also, are Guardians normal for a ne to have?"

"I''ll answer yourtest question first." Pondering over Valyr''s questions for a bit, a pensive expression briefly appeared on Mystia''s face as she found the right words to say. "You could say that Guardians are both rare andmon to find at the same time."

Noticing the slight confusion that appeared on Valyr''s face from her words, Mystia hastily began to exin. "What I mean by that is that Guardians are almost nowhere to be found in middle and upper nes."

"In other words, those are nes that have their concepts and powers recognized by a considerable portion of the universe."

"After all, the concepts and powers those nes embody are strong enough for other nes to begin thinking otherwise, with many of them not wanting to experience the repercussions of going against those nes."

"A good example of the nes without Guardians would be the nes corresponding to the four foundational elements. After all, almost every person throughout the universe rely on its concept and power."

"On the other hand, Guardians are almost necessary in small nes," said Mystia, giving Valyr time to process everything she''d said so far.

"Of course, if you''ve been reading between the lines all the time, then you must''vee to the conclusion that the Mystic ne is a small ne... which it is."

"Wait... that doesn''t make sense," said Valyr in response, his brows slightly furrowed. "Why would the Mystic ne be small if Mystic Energy is incredibly versatile?"

As those words left his mouth, Valyr thought about the skill he gained that allowed him to transform Mystic Energy into any element, as well as the feat that Mystia had shown him earlier of reducing the side effects of the Constitution Refinement Elixir.

"It''s exactly because Mystic Energy is versatile that the Mystic ne is small," replied Mystia, a bitter smile appearing on her face.

"Because of how all-epassing Mystic Energy is in terms of power, many other nes have eyed the ne to the point that the current ne is only a shell of its former self."

"Or at least... that''s what the Overseer of the Mystic ne told me after I became its Saintess." Mystia let out a low sigh. "In any case, it is true that the Mystic ne is in danger of

disappearing entirely if neither I nor the Overseer did anything about it."

"Which is why I''ve decided to appoint you as the Guardian of the Mystic ne." As these words left her mouth, Mystia gave Valyr an apologetic smile.

"The reason why I chose you to be the Guardian is not because we wanted to catch our foes off guard, but because that''s the limit of what the Mystic ne could handle at the

    moment."

"In other words, it''s not that you don''t want to have a Legend or a Myth as a Guardian, it''s that you couldn''t," said Valyr, to which Mystia merely nodded in agreement.

"I see." With Mystia now giving him all of the information he needed at the moment, arge image swiftly began to form in the young man''s mind, allowing him to get a rough idea of the current situation regarding the Mystic ne.

With that in mind, the young man decided to fully ept his new position as the Guardian of the Mystic ne, giving Mystia a reassuring smile as he told her, "I''ll do my best not to betray the trust and expectations you''ve put on me."

In response, Mystia smiled back as she inwardly sighed in relief, her smile the epitome of

    sincerity.

"Since you say that, then it''s only right that I''ll make sure to help you out to the best of my abilities," she promised him.

"I swear upon this as both your teacher and the Saintess of the Mystic ne."

"After all, with your abilities, I''m certain that it''s only a matter of time until the Mystic ne fully returns to its former glory."
