Chapter 1038: Entering the Mystic ne
?
As he smiled in response to Mystia''s words, the gears in Valyr''s mind started to turn, realizing that their current topic hade to an end of sorts.
"So... what do we do now?"
"To be honest, I don''t know either," replied Mystia with a slight shrug.
"Should we head to the Mystic ne, then?" asked Valyr in response, his gaze darting
between Mystia and the room. "After all, since I''m the Guardian of the Mystic ne, shouldn''t I head there at least once?"
"Well, yeah... but let''s save that forter." At first, Mystia was about to agree to the young man''s suggestion, only to recall that she had yet to give all of the rewards she nned on giving Valyr now that she''d epted her quests.
"After all, I still n on giving you other things aside from that Constitution Refinement Elixir you just continued."
"...Unless if you want to head to the Mystic ne now and postpone the remaining rewards forter, of course," said Mystia not long after, faintly smiling as she noticed the conflicted expression creeping up Valyr''s face in response.
"Er..." With the gears in his mind madly turning while he was pondering over Mystia''s words, the young man weighed over the pros and cons of each choice as he began to formte a new train of thought.
''Initially, I came to meet Mystia because I wanted to improve the amount of Mystic Energy I have, as well as my level of control over it.''
''Considering how Mystic Energy is the opposite of Shadow... well, Void Energy in terms of nature, the thought ofbining it into Prime Azure Energy came to mind, seeing as the energy I made has the ability to assimte other energies without issues.''
''... On the other hand, Mystia did make a promise to give me items if I were to ept both of her requests. As long as I got my hands on them, mybat strength would immediately be improved to a higher level.''
''Other than that, she''s also nning to teach me alchemy, which is a field I''ve barely touched upon in my past life,'' thought Valyr to himself.
''However, that doesn''t mean I''m clueless as to what it''s capable of, seeing as how all of the elixirs and pills I''ve consumed so far all have miraculous effects on my strength.''
Closing his eyes for a bit as he continued with his current train of thought, Valyr eventually made his decision as he looked at Mystia in the eyes with a wry smile. "I guess we could postpone the remaining items forter."
"After all, in the first ce, my reason for meeting up with you was mostly about Mystic Energy."
"...Well, I suppose you''re correct," replied Mystia, her expression briefly changing into that disbelief.
In her mind, when she brought up the topic of him getting more items from her, she thought that Valyr would undoubtedly choose to go with the items, considering that it was the choice that would immediately give him greater strength out of the two.
However, hearing that the young man instead chose the option that he was less likely to choose, it took a while for Mystia to regain her bearings, nodding as she began to conjure a rift that would lead the two of them into the Mystic ne.
Whoosh!
Watching Mystia release a massive amount of Mystic Energy into the surroundings, Valyr decided tomit the sight before him into memory as he intently watched her create the rift to the Mystic ne step by step.
''Huh. The concept is simr to how Noel opens up a rift to the Shadow ne.'' Keeping an eye on Mystia''s movements, Valyr eventually began to notice a few simrities between it and Noel''s movements in the past.
With that, by the time Mystia had finished creating the rift to the Mystic ne, it was there that Valyr realized that the rift creation process was more or less simr between every ne.
If anything, the only differences between them was in the energy that was used, as well as theplexity of the structure making up the rift itself.
''Seeing how the rift to the Mystic ne seems easier to createpared to the rift to the Shadow ne, I suppose theplexity of the rift has a corrtion to the size of the ne itself?''
As this question came to the young man''s mind, Mystia let out a soft sigh of relief as she wiped the sweat off her forehead.
Then, taking the time to catch her breath, she then gestured the young man towards the rift she''d opened. "As you''ve never visited the Mystic ne, you should go first. I''ll follow behind
you."
Nodding in response to her words, Valyr swiftly made his way to the rift, taking in a deep breath as he took a step into it.
Whoosh!
In less than an instant, the young man felt his body be transported to a faraway ce, simr to what he felt back in his trips to the Shadow ne with Noel.
Then again, unlike the dark and dreary atmosphere that the Shadow ne gave off, the Mystic ne immediately gave off a light and ethereal feeling to the young man, causing him to feel as if all of his worries had been washed away.
Sadly, such a feeling was only short-lived as the young man''s feet eventually touched ground, reducing some of the lightness he felt as he took a look of his surroundings.
"Wee to the Mystic ne, Valyr."
Swoosh!
Whilst the young man wasmitting thendscape of the Mystic ne to memory, the Imperial Alchemist had appeared beside him, shing a grin as she took a few steps forward to be in front of him. "So, what do you think?"
"It''s... definitely unlike the Shadow ne I''ve been in," said Valyr in response, ing to the conclusion that the Mystic ne had andscape that was more or less simr to what Veldanyr offered.
Though, if one were to look at their surroundings closely, one would begin to notice a thinyer of iridescent energy coating the surface.
"It''s more... colorful," continued the young man, wondering if the thinyer of iridescent energy was the cause of the light and ethereal feeling that currently wrapped around him. "A lot more colorfulpared to the Shadow ne."
"Anyways, now that I think about it, why haven''t I gotten a notification from the system that I''ve be the Mystic ne''s Guardian yet?"
As these words left the young man''s mouth, the smile Mystia had on her face instantly disappeared as she began to rub her chin in contemtion.
Closing her eyes for a bit, she eventually looked back at the young man with a calm gaze, only for the smile she had earlier to return not long after. "Oh, that."
"Well, you see... the Overseer hasn''t really officially appointed you as the ne''s Guardian yet. So far, you''re still the Guardian of the Mystic ne in name."
"And so, to correct that..."
"Marcus! Get your ass over here right this instant!"
