    A group of people sat around the table, all with different motives.


    Seeing her brother’s arrival, Hn Xiuse excitedly waved at him and said, “Hurry up brother, I’ve saved you a seat. Sit next to me so I can help you debone the fish.”


    “Look at you both, you two are adults now, how are you two still acting like children. Your brother is usually busy with work, he knows how to feed himself.” On the surface, it may seem as if Mrs. Hn is lecturing her children but her demeanor toward her daughter says otherwise. She loves the both of them to the core and both her children were her pride and joy.


    Hearing her mother’s lecture, Hn Xiuse pouted in response and said, “I’m not listening. I’m still going to debone brother’s fish. Since brother spoils me the most.”


    Hn Fangnian sat down next to Hn Xiuse as he gently patted her bangs.


    Yue Tingfeng called the waiter to order a ss of fresh watermelon juice for Yan Qingsi and said, “Here, drink this.”


    Yan Qingsi simply nodded and slowly began to drink. Completely ignoring the other family.


    Yue Tingfeng asked Hn Fangnian as he gently ran his fingers down Qingsi’s long, soft, and dark hair. “So, what have you been up to these days? It’s like we don’t see you around anymore.”


    Hn Fangnian nced up and gave Yue Tingfeng a very perplexed look. He replied, “I just had a case recently.”


    Ever since Hn Xiuse’sing of age ceremony, both of them had not spoken to each other. They were close when they were kids. However, something seemed to have fractured their rtionship with each other.


    Yue Tingfeng, as usual, had zero guilt facing Hn Fangnian.


    To regain her footing, Zhou Ning simply said, “Since my cousin is a well-knownwyer and has built quite the reputation to his name, I’m sure that he is working on a huge case. I’m sure it’s interesting, do you mind sharing? I’m trying to find my own voice recently.”


    Hn Fangnian coldly replied, “There’s nothing interesting about my case. It is too violent and gory to share right now since we are eating at the moment.”


    Hn Fangnian could not help himself but look at Yan Qingsi. However, he was constantly being reminded of the both of them being together. Knowing that even he could not force a smile.


    Hn Xiuse covered her mouth with a hand and nodded at what her brother had said just now. “Yea, I looked through my brother’s files by ident. Those pictures in it were rather violent. It was quite scary, to be honest. Why don’t we talk about Yan Qingsi’s acting career instead? When I visited her set the other day, I thought it was quite interesting as well.” Hn Xiuse added.


    With thatment, everyone immediately turned their attention toward Yan Qingsi.


    However, Yan Qingsi was busy drinking her watermelon juice, as if she had not been paying attention to what had been said. This made Hn Xiuse blush in embarrassment.


    Yan Qingsi was never the type to suck up to people and especially in situations like these. Since it was quite clear that no one liked her, and yet she was being dragged into their conversation. So it was only natural for her to ignore everyone.


    Both Yue Tingfeng and his mother’s movements were uncanny as both of them picked up their drinks, their movements were like aplete and perfect reflection of one another.


    Mrs. Hn was, however, offended by Yan Qingsi’s ignorance and said with a sarcasticugh. “Miss Yan here is an A-list celebrity. She’s not used to mingling withmon folk like us.”


    Mrs. Yue nced over to Mrs. Hn as she was offended by herment earlier. It was as if she hinted that Yan Qingsi was being arrogant. As if she could not read between the lines.


    Yan Qingsi took a few more sips of her drink and ced it down on the table. She simply replied, “Yea, I’ve just got out of a set, so I’m not used to mingling with people and I could not keep up with... the conversation pace with you guys. You see, a movie shoot is actually really boring and it’s not fun for me. Furthermore, it’s my job. Whenever I’m in a scene, I do it out of respect for my career. Just like Miss Zhou here. Whenever she’s working on a design, she would not think to have fun.”


    Zhou Ning felt like she was stabbed in the chest by that reply. She tensed up and replied with a smile. “How are we the same? Both our jobs werepletely different. I do however keep up with online gossip. From the looks of thingstely, there was a scandalous piece of news online that was spreading like wildfire. It was something about being unprofessional. Could it be from your crew?”


    Yan Qingsiughed sarcastically at her question. She thought to herself, thisdy was quite an interesting one. She could have asked her directly if she had been scandalously sleeping aroundtely?
