    Yan Qingsi interrupted Zhou Ning’s reply and said, “Well, I don’t either. Since I’m backed by the entirety of the Yue’s family, and seeing that my boss is here, no one would even dare think about being unprofessional. Me on the other hand? Well, even if I’m being scandalous, I would’ve done it with someone else right?”


    Yan Qingsi turned and smiled at Yue Tingfeng. She said, “Don’t you think so, Boss?”


    Yue Tingfeng blushed at herment as he thought about what happened that night with her. He cleared his throat and replied, “Of course, no one would dare scandalize the Yue family’s spokesperson. If you want to do something scandalous, do it with me then.”


    Both of them were flirting as if no one was around.


    Yan Qingsi nudged Tingfeng a little, turned back, and said, “I thought a person like you wouldn’t be interested in trivial gossip in the entertainment world. If you would really like to know, I don’t mind telling you though.”


    Zhou Ning’s lips tensed up. As a person of her own status and seeing how important her reputation meant to her, if she were to probe deeper, Qingsi would havebeled her as a gossiper.

    Feeling the tension in the room rising, Mrs. Hn frantically said, “The food’s already here. Please help yourselves everyone, except Miss Yan since besides her, everyone is family around this table. Hope you don’t mind, I’ll be helping myself to some food now.”


    Hearing this, Yan Qingsi gave Mrs. Hn a veryplicated re. She could not shake the feeling that Mrs. Hn was sidelining her out on purpose, especially when she pointed out that she was not one of them. It was an intentional shunning!


    “Don’t worry Aunty Hn. Qingsi has me,” Yue Tingfeng replied with a grin.


    Mrs. Hn smiled in response. Her smile was warm and generous.


    The only sounds that could be heard at the table were the sounds of Mrs. Hn and Hn Xiuse’sughter. Not a single soul said anything.


    Yan Qingsi’s te had been piled up as high as it could get as both Mrs. Yue and Tingfeng were busy cing delicious food on her te. There was no need for her to move a single muscle. She kept her head lowered and ate in silence. The meal tasted nd to her as she could feel tears welling up in her eyes.


    Mrs. Yue pinched at Yan Qingsi’s shoulder and said, “When did you be so skinny? You should be eating more.”


    Yan Qingsi simply nodded and said, “Yea...”


    “You’re awfully quiet today brother. Is something bothering you?” Hn Xiuse asked.


    The mental strain was noticeable on Hn Fangnian’s face as he simply replied, “It’s nothing, just the case that I’m working on.”


    Hn Xiuse pouted at his response. “It’s very rare for us to eat as a family these days, so stop thinking about work. Here. This is your favorite squirrel squid dish. Give it a taste.”


    “The both of you sure have a great rtionship,” Mrs. Hn smiled and said, “When Xiuxiu came back home, the first thing she told me was that she wanted to be Miss Yan’s personal assistant and you had apparently refused her offer. So she was quite unhappy. However, I had scolded her. It’s my fault for spoiling her too much since she was little. She angrily eximed, “I don’t quite understand what you mean by keeping things in the dark, and what do you mean by things best kept hidden from everyone.
