Chapter 408 – Jackson’s ns For The New Year

    "I think it is time you go back now. Your employees will start getting worried if you go missing for a long time so go in and continue with what you were doing," Mr Avans urged him to leave.


    "Thank you so much, Sir…,"


    "There is no need to thank me. I am not doing this because of you but for my daughter''s sake. Don''t delude yourself into thinking that I have given you my permission because I helped you," Mr Avans warned in a cold tone.


    "I am not insane to think in that direction," Jackson said. He bowed his head to show his respect before he came out of the car. He stood there until Mr Avans car pulled out of the parking lounge.

    "My father that I have known all my life did all that?" Jasmine asked in disbelief.


    "I wonder whether if he ate something wrong that is why he behaved that way," Jasmine said as shey on the bed with her back down.


    "He is nice….,"


    "Can we not talk about him or anyone else. This is New Year so let''s talk about us," Jasmine said as she stretched her hand and pulled Jackson onto the bed.


    "What''s your n for us this year?" Jasmine asked seductively.


    "My first n is to get your parents permission as soon as possible. After I get their permission then we will get engaged. I want us to get married at thetest two months after our engagement, what do you think about that?" Jackson asked as he winked at her.


    "Hey, I can''t believe you have already drafted everything out. What I noticed is that you didn''t make ns to cope with rejection…,"


    "Rejection by whom?" Jackson asked anxiously.


    "What if I reject your proposal…,"


    "Jasmine, what are you talking about? Didn''t you promise to marry me earlier so why are you going back on your words? Why are you tormenting me this way?…,"


    "I was only kidding, so rx," Jasmine said as she stretched and pecked him on his cheeks.


    "I can see you have be naughtier after you were gone. You now have the heart to trick your beloved with such a delicate issue. Aren''t you afraid that I will have a heart attack?" Jackson asked as he climbed onto her body.


    "Don''t worry I will give you a very passionate kiss if that happens. I don''t believe you won''t wake up if I give you the hottest kiss ever," Jasmine said yfully. She pulled him closer andnded a short but passionate kiss on his lips.


    "Damn! You are tempting me again!" Jackson cursed loudly when Jasmine pulled away soon after kissing him.


    "You know my self-control is slim when ites to you…,"


    "Nobody says you should hold back right?" Jasmine winked at him. Jackson couldn''t resist smiling.


    "I know that but we will do what you want after we have a few sses of wine to celebrate the new year," Jackson said. He climbed out of bed in an instant and made to leave the room.


    "The doctor said I can''t take any alcohol so make sure to bring a non-alcoholic wine," Jasmine instructed her gaze glued on his back. Jackson turned to face her with a worried expression.


    "I know you want to ask whether everything is ok with me and my answer is that I am perfectly ok. I couldn''t be better than this, trust me," Jasmine said beaming at him. Her beautiful smile made Jackson believes what she said.


    "I will believe what you said but trust me, I will get more than furious if I discover that you are unwell but kept it a secret from me," Jackson said seriously before he went downstairs to get the wine on the wine rack he saw earlier while searching for Jasmine.


    Jackson came backter with two sses of wine and a bottle of wine. Jasmine stare at him as he ced the sses on the bed and moved to pour the wine into the sses.


    Jasmine picked up the wine sses so their content will not spill on the bed.


    "Happy New Year to my beloved. You don''t know how happy I am to have you beside me on this special day," Jackson said as he stretched his hand and collected a ss of wine from her left hand.


    "I feel the same too. Having you by my side feels like I have won the world''s biggest treasure," Jasmine said with a smile. She sipped from the ss of wine with a smile on her face.


    The night was very pleasant for these two lovebirds who used different ways to express their love for the other. Because of their appointment, Jasmine and Jackson woke up early and got prepared for their long journey.


    "Jasmine why is it that they are no maids in the ce? How do you cope every day without anyone by your side?" Jackson asked curiously? He pulled out the seat close to his for Jasmine to sit.


    "I gave them some days to go spend the holidays with their family…,"


    "You mean you have been living in this vast house by yourself since Christmas? Why did you let all of them go?" Jackson asked, sounding upset that his woman has been living alone and doing all the chores by herself.


    "I have been doing great without them by my side so stop making that face. Let''s eat so we can leave and meet up with the lunch meeting with my family," Jasmine sitting on the chair said. She passed Jackson''s favourite side dishes to him.


    Jackson didn''t pursue the matter anymore, the two ate while chatting.


    "Why are you selecting the dishes? You were never a picky eater in the past so what is wrong again?" Jackson asked in a worried tone. He had been watching her since they started eating and he could see her picking out some ingredients she used in preparing the meal.
