Gu Chaoyan was in high spirits, having had a good night’s rest.

The following day, as daylight broke, the Five Elements n members observed her, eager to see if any issues had arisen after her consumption of the red fruit.<div>

Gary, too, approached with a genuine and concerned inquiry. “Tribe Chief, are you feeling alright?”

“Of course, I’m perfectly fine,” Gu Chaoyan replied, radiating energy.

“In that case, these fruits are safe to eat. Let’s gather them all!” the n members cheered with joy.

“Yes, we’ll bring them all back. I’ll show you how to do it,” Gu Chaoyan said, wearing a smile as she guided them in digging up the tomato sprouts.

    Breakfast was served.

They didn’t mention Gu Chaoyan’s n to let them partake in order to bring some back.

“Give them a try,” Gu Chaoyan suggested.

They reached out, plucked a tomato, and cautiously tasted it.

    Gu Chaoyan stopped them.

She insisted they wash the tomatoes thoroughly first.

Only after cleaning were they allowed to consume the fruit.<div>

These n members weren’t ustomed to such practices, but Gu Chaoyan knew it was for the best. Many fruits and wild vegetables grew in locations where they couldn’t see, and the fruits could carry contaminants.

    After sampling the cleaned fruit,

They were all astonished. “It’s sweet!”

This was unlike anything they had ever eaten.

Their usual diet consisted of wild fruits, consumed with confidence due to the knowledge that they were not poisonous. However, those wild fruits were rarely vorful, typically being sour, tasteless, or slightly spoiled.

“It’s much better than wild fruits!” Gary eximed.

“Of course, because it’s harvested when it’s perfectly ripe,” Gu Chaoyan replied in earnest.

The wild fruits they typically gathered weren’t bad, but they were chosen without a full understanding of their optimal ripeness.

Picking them prematurely would never result in a delicious taste.

“When it’s time to eat, enjoy as much as you can. Don’t be too frugal,” Gu Chaoyan encouraged.

The n members who initially ate just one piece, with the intention of bringing the rest back for the others, had a change of heart upon hearing they couldn’t collect arge quantity. It would be a waste not to consume the tomatoes now. How could they resist?<div>

After all, they were hearty eaters.

One person could easily consume seven or eight tomatoes in a sitting, but Gu Chaoyan intervened, urging moderation.

She then led them in digging up tomato seedlings.

They would unearth them from the ground, preserving the roots forter nting.

Gu Chaoyan had no intention of relocating all of the tomatoes.

First, it wasn’t feasible to transport such a vast quantity. Second, she believed it was crucial to leave some behind as a safety. In case their attempts at cultivation failed, there would still be room for improvement.

Even if they didn’t transport the tomatoes, they had to harvest them.

    After these preparations were made,

Gu Chaoyan’s simple wheelbarrow proved its usefulness, and Gary finally grasped its purpose.

He couldn’t help but marvel at the Tribe Chief’s intelligence.

She had devised an efficient method for transporting these items.<div>

Not only would they be less fatigued, but they could also bring back a more substantial haul.

The small group returned with their harvest.

Their previously worried expressions had given way to smiles, revealing their honest and contented faces.

    Gu Chaoyan, however, remained uneasy.

The tomatoes were a valuable find, but they weren’t an immediate necessity.

What they needed most was something that could withstand the cold.

“What’s that?” Gary pointed to a white patch not far away.
