Ever since he discovered and tasted the red fruit, Gary’s perception had transformed. Not only were the newfound fruits edible, but they were also incredibly delicious. No longer did he view everything he saw as inedible, as he scoured the surroundings for unfamiliar items not found near the Five Elements n, eager to share his findings with the Tribe Chief.
He was determined to explore and experiment, hopeful that some of these novel discoveries might prove edible.<div>
With this mindset, Gary’s excitement was palpable when he spotted the white growth in the distance.
Gu Chaoyan directed her attention to the spot Gary indicated and saw a small patch of white.
She hurried over with anticipation.
Carefully examining the mysterious nt, she noted that it stood at approximately a meter in height, covered in white lumps. If it wasn’t cotton, what could it be?
Gu Chaoyan, Gary, and the others were all gathered around. Gary plucked a piece of the white material and took a bite, only to make a face of disappointment. “What’s this? It’s not moist at all. Definitely inedible. Tribe Chief, let’s go. Gary was mistaken. It’s of no use.”
Gary and his nsmen started to head back with their findings.
However, Gu Chaoyan shook her head with a smile.
“Gary, you’ve done an excellent job. This substance isn’t just useful; it’s incredibly valuable. We can use it to protect ourselves from the winter cold!” Gu Chaoyan was in high spirits as she spoke with a radiant smile.
She also surveyed the area, hoping to find arger cotton field. The small patch alone wouldn’t suffice.
Yet, she had faith that if there was cotton here, there must be an abundance nearby.
As expected, they came across numerous cotton nts.<div>
Fortunately, theck of rain today had preserved the cotton, preventing any damage.
If they brought back these cotton balls and used them to stave off the cold, the Five Elements n wouldn’t suffer from the harsh winter cold this year.
“Let’s head back, set down these items, gather more people, and collect them all!” Gu Chaoyan instructed. “Remember where you found these. We’ll need to locate them when we return.”
The n members nodded, their approval clear.
However, they were still puzzled.
How could these small balls protect them from the cold?
“Tribe Chief, what are these things? How can these tiny balls keep us from freezing?” Gary inquired, his confusion apparent.
Gu Chaoyan plucked a few cotton balls and handed them to Gary.
“Feel the texture,” Gu Chaoyan suggested.
Gary held the cotton balls and squeezed and rubbed them.
“Doesn’t it resemble the fur of a wild beast?” Gu Chaoyan offered aparison he could rte to.<div>
The fur of a wild beast?
It did somewhat resemble the fur of a wild rabbit.
Hence…
What did the Tribe Chief mean?
“Tribe Chief, are you suggesting that we can use these like the fur of those wild animals?” Gary suddenlyprehended and asked with enthusiasm.
If that were possible,
It would be exceptionally valuable!
They couldn’t capture many wild animals. Wild boar skin was inedible, and they didn’t dare to challengerger wild beasts. The few wild rabbits they managed to catch yielded only a limited amount of fur.
But these cotton balls were different.
There were numerous of them.
Imagine what it would be like if they collected them all!<div>
It meant that every member of the Five Elements n could have something to keep themselves warm with!
In that scenario, there truly wouldn’t be a need to suffer through the winter cold this year!
