    Chapter 613: Chapter 613 - London’s Quiet Kingdom

    ?

Leon, Freya, Ronald, and London sat together in the spacious dining room of London''s grand residence, enjoying the calm of the evening.

The roof of the room featured a transparent ss surface, giving the sensation of dining under the light of the moon and stars.

One by one, servants entered, cing dishes on the dining table. What stood out immediately was that all the servers were strikingly beautiful young women.

"You don''t have to be so obvious, Leon," Ronald said with a burst ofughter. "Ha ha ha... London definitely has the loveliest maids around here, doesn''t he? Ha ha ha!"

London responded with a grin, clearly proud. "I''m d to have such an energetic young man like you around, Ronald."

Freya smirked, leaning back slightly. "You sure do seem to live life on your own terms, don''t you, old man?"

"Ha ha ha, not entirely," London replied. "I just happen to choose the kind of maids I like to have around me. And it turns out most of them are young women. Pure coincidence!"

    "Pure coincidence, huh? Okay!"

"So, Leon," London said, leaning back slightly, "what do you think of all this? Are you intrigued by the idea of living in a ce like this? I''m sure it''s far more enjoyable than being anywhere else, wouldn''t you say?"

Leon smiled and replied, "I think it''s a tempting idea. Living surrounded by luxury and far away from the hustle and bustle of people."

London chuckled, clearly pleased. "Then you''re always wee here, Leon. Come anytime you want!"

The conversation continued as they enjoyed the sumptuous dinner that had been prepared. The night unfolded with London dominating the table talk, sharing stories on a wide range of topics, punctuated by Ronald''s boisterousughter that echoed throughout the room.

Freya, however, eventually interjected with a dramatic sigh. "Can you two talk about something other than women for a change? My ears are starting to itch with all this nonsense."

Londonughed at herment, not taking it the least bit seriously, and smoothly transitioned their chat back to lighthearted jokes.

"So," London said, "you''re all staying here for the night, right? I''ve already prepared rooms for you."

"Yeah, of course," Ronald replied immediately.

Leon nodded in agreement as well.

London''s grin widened as he turned to Leon. "What about you, Leon? Do you want to sleep in the same room as Freya?"

"Shut up, old man!" Freya snapped. "I''m not afraid to smack you, even if it''s in your own house."

London burst into heartyughter, clearly entertained by her reaction.

Just then, a woman dressed in a maid outfit entered the room. Her ck hair framed her face, and she offered a warm smile and a polite bow as she approached.

"This is Rose," London said, gesturing toward her. "Rose will take you to your room, Leon."

Feeling the fatigue from the long journey, Leon stood up, stretching slightly before nodding. "Thanks," he said simply before turning to follow Rose.

"Please, this way, Mr. Leon," Rose said.

Leon followed Rose toward the elevator, and they ascended to the top floor. Stepping out, they walked together down a wide, elegantly decorated corridor.

"I often see you on television, Mr. Leon," Rose said, her voice polite but warm.

She appeared to be in her early 20s, and her striking appearance seemed more fitting for a model than a maid.

"Really?" Leon replied casually. "I feel like I end up doing more ridiculous things whenever I''m on television."

Roseughed softly. "Mr. London talks about you often," she said. "He seems very proud of you."

As they entered the room, Leon took in its spaciousness. It was impressively furnished with a rxing sofa, arge bed, a mini bar, and a floor-to-ceiling ss window offering a stunning view of the property outside.

Rose gestured toward a telephone set in the corner of the room. "You can use that phone to call us if you need anything at all.

    "Thanks, Rose."

Rose walked over to therge ss window and pressed a small button on the wall. Instantly, the curtain slid open, revealing a breathtaking view of the forest bathed in soft moonlight.

"If you''d like to sleep, you can close the curtain for some privacy," Rose exined. "Thanks," Leon replied.

He slowly approached the ss window, drawn to the tranquility of the scene before him. Turning slightly, he asked, "This ce really is far from the city, isn''t it?"

Rose nodded with a gentle smile.

"Mr. Leon," she began, "are you curious about why Mr. London chose to stay here?"

Leon blinked, surprised. It was as if she had read his thoughts.

He nodded in response. "I did ask him earlier," he said. "He told me it''s because he really likes theke here."

Rose nodded politely, stepping back and gesturing to a sleek device in one corner of the

    room.

"Mr. Leon, there''s a capsule device here you can use if you want to log in to Immortal

    Legacy."

"Yes, I really need that," Leon replied with a faint smile.

After ensuring that she had exined everything Leon might need, Rose excused herself and

    quietly left the room.

Leon took a few moments to rx, enjoying the peace and quiet of the luxurious space. The interrupted by a soft knock at the door.

    stillnes

He opened the door and Freya stepped in.n/?/vel/b//in dot c//om

She plopped down onto a nearby chair.

"Here, read this," Freya said with a grin, handing her cell phone to him.

Leon took the device and began reading the article disyed on the screen.

It was dated ten years ago and told the tragic story of a wealthy businessman''s young heir.

ording to the report, the man had been out fishing on ake when his boat began leaking. Shortly afterward, a fierce storm struck, preventing him from reaching the shore. Tragically,

    he perished in theke.

Leon''s eyes lingered on the details before he nced at Freya.

"Is this the sameke as the one here? I mean... is this...."

Freya nodded slowly. "Yes..." she replied softly.

Leon''s thoughts churned as he considered the implications of the news. He turned back to

Freya, the pieces falling into ce in his mind.

"Is... this about London?" he started, but Freya quickly cut him off.

"Yes," she said firmly. "The young man mentioned in the news is London''s only son."

Leon shook his head slowly after hearing her answer.

"And he decided to stay in this ce after that incident?"

    "Yes... he did."

Leon fell silent, his thoughts swirling as he tried to imagine what London must have gone through. Despite his extraordinary wealth, the man seemed utterly alone in the world, having

lost his only son in such a tragic way.

"London''s son was the same age as you when it happened."

Leon furrowed his brows and asked quietly, "What about his wife?"

Freya took a deep breath. "She med London for the incident... and she left him."

Leon inhaled deeply, trying to process the weight of what he had just learned.

"So, no matter how wealthy someone is, they still have their own struggles, huh?" he

    murmured.

Freya nodded with a faint smile. "For many people, money might be the biggest challenge they face in life. But that doesn''t mean those who are wealthy don''t have problems of their

    own."

    "Yeah, I guess that''s true."

Freya rose from her seat, smiling again.

"I just thought you''d want to know since I figured you''d be curious. And, knowing you, I''m

sure you''re itching to get back into Immortal Legacy anyway. Well, see ya!"

After Freya left, Leon remained seated for a few minutes, letting the evening''s calm

    atmosphere settle over him.

He reflected on the conversation, savoring the quiet moment before shaking off his thoughts.

He remembered the full schedule awaiting him and decided it was time to log back into

    Immortal Legacy.
